Tales of Zestiria and Chain Chronicle are really similar to each other in that the main characters have to defeat some kind of "darkness" consuming the land. In Tales of Zestiria, Sorey the Shepherd travels with his friends to defeat the intense malevolence in the kingdom and he meets a bunch of people on the way. In Chain Chronicle, Yuuri wanders around the land of Yuguto with the Volunteer Army in search of a way to get rid of the growing blackness withering the land. They both give off the same vibe while watching the show and leave me curious for more. All in all, I feel like if you enjoyed Chain Chronicle, you'd like Tales of Zestiria too.

What makes humans superior to other species? Isn't it okay for predators to hunt humans? We eat livestock, how is it any different than an alien species thinking of us as livestock? In Parasyte, the main character Shinichi Izumi's right hand is taken over by a parasite. Pretty much, the parasites try to take over the human brain and they can morph whatever body part they took over. After taking over the body, they eat other humans as their source of food. People are dying around the world but they don't know what the causes of the deaths are in Parasyte, which is similar to Shiki, since everyone is dying and they don't know why. In both anime, there is a threat to the humans and the humans have to figure out what to do. Both Shiki and Parasyte do a great job in exploring topics that we don't usually think about, and they both have great character development throughout the anime.
