Otonari ni Ginga is a new anime that follows the story of Kuga Ichirou, a struggling manga artist, and Goshiki Shiori, a mysterious girl claiming to be a princess of the people of the stars. As they collaborate on Ichirou's manga, their relationship evolves into something more.
Personally, I have mixed feelings about Otonari ni Ginga. The likable characters, such as relatable protagonist Ichirou and charming Shiori, with an engaging story, bring humor and heart to the series.
However, there are some drawbacks. The anime's pacing is slow, and it can be predictable. Additionally, the supernatural elements may feel overly fantastical for some viewers.
Overall, Otonari ni Ginga
...
is a decent show but not a standout. Fans of slice-of-life and romantic comedies may enjoy it, although its slow pacing and far-fetched elements might not suit everyone's taste. It's a show worth considering if you're seeking a slice-of-life series with a touch of romance, but it falls short of being remarkable.

Yamada-kun to Lv999 no Koi wo Suru is a new anime that follows the story of Kinoshita Akane, a college student who just got dumped by her boyfriend. She then meets Yamada Akito, a legendary gamer who, as fate has it, also happens to be her guildmate in a casual MMORPG. The two of them start to spend more time together, and they soon develop feelings for each other.
The anime has a lot of potential, although not without its share of flaws. The characters are well-developed and relatable, and the story is engaging. However, the pacing is slow, and the anime can be predictable.
If anything,
...
the audio-visual aspects of the anime are well-done. The opening theme song, "Gradation," is catchy and upbeat. It perfectly sets the tone for the anime.
Visually, the anime boasts colorful artwork and animation, bringing the bitter-sweet moments typical of the genre to great heights. The beautiful and shoujo-esque aesthetic is very appealing. The attention to detail in the fantastical elements of Forest of Savior, that online game that they play, adds to the overall visual appeal. However, occasional inconsistencies in animation quality may be observed.
In conclusion, I have mixed feelings about Yamada-kun to Lv999 no Koi wo Suru. It's not a bad anime, but it's also not a great one. If you're a rom-com fan, then you might enjoy it. However, I wouldn't recommend it to everyone.

Edomae Elf is a slice-of-life anime adaptation set in modern-day Japan featuring an eternally young elf. The story follows said young elf called Elda, who is transported to Edo period Japan from her home in another world. Elda must learn to adapt to life in Edo, and she soon finds herself caught up to be enjoying her new life as an enshrined goddess in the Takamimi Shrine. While it may not be a show for everyone, it offers an interesting concept worth exploring.
The anime introduces a world where elves and Japanese tradition and religion coexist. This blend of fantasy elements and cultural aspects creates a
...
distinctive backdrop for the story. However, it's important to note that the execution may not be flawless.
The character development is decent but doesn't always reach its full potential. Elda, alongside her shrine maiden and the various parishioners, embarks on everyday misadventures that provide insights into their personalities. Yet, some characters may feel underdeveloped, leaving room for improvement.
Pros
- The art is beautiful, and the characters are charming.
- The story is funny and heartwarming, with a touch of magic.
- It's a great introduction to Japanese history and culture.
Cons
- The pacing can be slow at times.
- Some of the humor may be lost on younger audiences.
- Nothing happens, as it is just a slice-of-life show.
Overall
Edomae Elf is a sweet anime adaptation that is perfect for slice-of-life fans. However, the slow pacing may be a turn-off for some demographics.
If you're looking for a light and fluffy anime, then Edomae Elf is a great choice. The art is beautiful, the characters are charming, and the story is humorous. However, if you're looking for a more fast-paced or action-packed show, other shows can beat this show easily.

Megami no Café Terrace: A Quirky Harem for the Ages
If you're looking for a trashy harem-esque, fanservice romcom, look no further and check out Megami no Café Terrace, as it is the perfect anime for you. This series has beautiful girls, delicious food, and plenty of laughs.
The story follows Kasukabe Hayato, an orphan who returns to his hometown after his grandmother's death. He inherits her rundown café, Cafe Terrace Familia, and is tasked with running it. However, he's not the only one interested in the café. Five young women who call themselves the "Goddesses of Cafe Terrace" also live there. They're all determined to keep
...
the café open. They're willing to do whatever it takes to make it happen.
Of course, Hayato is quickly surrounded by the Goddesses' charms. He's constantly getting into awkward situations with them. But as he gets to know them better, he realizes they're more than just pretty faces. They're each strong, independent women with their own unique personalities. Megami no Café Terrace is a fun and lighthearted watch. Winning any awards for its groundbreaking storytelling is a far-fetched idea for this show, but it's sure to entertain fans of the harem genre. You might find this show amusing if you appreciate tongue-in-cheek humor and don't mind the fanservice-laden nature of the genre.
However, it's important to note that "Megami no Café Terrace" doesn't offer much beyond its niche appeal. It's unlikely to resonate with the general audience looking for more storytelling or character development.
Overall, "Megami no Café Terrace" is a solid addition to the harem romcom genre, offering entertainment to fans who appreciate its lighthearted and fun nature. While it may not revolutionize the genre, it still manages to stand out with its quirky charm, and just be aware of its limitations and don't expect it to break new ground in storytelling.

Yuusha ga Shinda!: A Humorous and Irreverent Take on the Hero's Journey
Yuusha ga Shinda! is a surprisingly good show that takes a humorous and irreverent approach to the classic hero's journey. Here's what I loved about it:
Coherent and Well-Paced Plot:
The plot knows where it's going and doesn't waste time with filler episodes. The story progresses smoothly, keeping you engaged from start to finish.
Well-Developed and Likable Characters:
The characters in the show are well-developed and likable, including the side characters. Each one gets enough screen time to be fleshed out and relatable, adding depth to the overall narrative.
Sharp and Witty Humor:
The humor in Yuusha ga Shinda!
...
is sharp and witty. The show cleverly pokes fun at itself and the genre without being mean-spirited. It embraces its ridiculousness and delivers laughs throughout.
Ludicrous Fanservice with Self-Awareness:
Yes, the fanservice in the show is over-the-top and ludicrous. However, it's important to note that Yuusha ga Shinda! is self-aware and doesn't take itself too seriously. It knows it's ridiculous and doesn't try to hide it.
Unique Opening (OP) Animation:
The show boasts a unique opening theme (OP) animation. Set to a catchy pop song, the OP combines 2D and 3D animation. The characters are presented in 2D, while the background and effects are rendered in 3D. The result is a visually striking OP that effectively sets the tone for the show and adds an extra layer of excitement.
Some aspects to consider:
Potential Offense for Some Viewers:
Due to its ecchi nature, Yuusha ga Shinda! may not be suitable for viewers easily offended by fanservice. If you're sensitive to this type of content, it's best to approach it cautiously.
Slow-Burning Start:
The show does have a slow start, with the first few episodes being more of a slow burn. However, it gradually picks up the pace and becomes more engaging as the story progresses.
Animation:
The animation in Yuusha ga Shinda! is a bit of a mixed bag. While the character designs are simple yet expressive, and the action scenes are well-choreographed, there are moments when the animation can be choppy. So, the overall quality doesn't match that of some other anime.
Despite its shortcomings, the animation does contribute to character development in a few notable ways. The simplicity of the character designs makes it easy to read and understand the character's emotions, particularly for the protagonist, Touka, as he grapples with his new role as a hero. Additionally, the action scenes effectively showcase Touka's growth as a fighter, becoming more fluid and dynamic as he gains experience.
Conclusion:
In conclusion, Yuusha ga Shinda! is a delightful and entertaining show that caters to comedy, fantasy, and adventure fans. It offers a unique take on the hero's journey with its humorous and irreverent approach. If you enjoy witty humor and well-paced storytelling and can embrace its ludicrous fanservice, this anime will leave you laughing and thoroughly entertained.

Skip to Loafer: A Mesmerizing Blend of P. A. Works Magic, Compelling Characters, and Captivating Theme Songs
Skip to Loafer is a slice-of-life anime adaptation produced by P. A. Works, a studio known for its high-quality animation and heartwarming stories. The show follows Iwakura Mitsumi, a country girl who moves to Tokyo to attend a prestigious high school. Mitsumi is a bright and ambitious girl. But she's also a bit of a klutz. She quickly befriends Shima Sousuke, a fellow first-year student who is kind and helpful. Together, they navigate the challenges of high school life. While also learning about themselves and each other.
P. A. Works
...
is reputable for producing high-quality animation, and Skip to Loafer is no exception. Known for its visually stunning productions such as "Angel Beats!" and "Shirobako," P. A. Works has established itself as a master of their craft. The show is beautifully animated, with a soft and watercolor-like aesthetic. The character designs are expressive and charming, and the backgrounds are detailed and atmospheric. The animation is also used to significant effect when conveying the humor and heartwarming moments of the show.
The characters are all well-developed and relatable. Mitsumi is a likable protagonist who is easy to root for. She's a bit of a goofball, but she's also kind and caring. Sousuke is a kind and helpful friend who is always there for Mitsumi. The other characters in the show are also well-developed and add to the overall charm of the show.
The voice acting in "Skip to Loafer" is a true testament to the talent and versatility of the seiyuu involved. The Japanese voice actors do a great job bringing the characters to life as they effortlessly perform deep and authentic acting to their respective casts.
The theme songs are both mesmerizing. The OP song, "Skip to Loafer," is a catchy and upbeat song that perfectly captures the show's blend of humor and heartwarming moments. The ED song "Kirameki no Kakera" is a more mellow and reflective song that perfectly captures the show's themes of friendship and self-discovery.
Overall, Skip to Loafer is a great slice-of-life anime that appeals to an older audience. The show is well-animated, combined with outstanding voice acting and memorable theme songs, and is a true gem that should not be missed. So grab your loafers and leap into this delightful anime adventure that will keep you hooked from start to finish, as Skip to Loafer is a highly recommended show if you're looking for a heartwarming and funny anime.

Kubo-san wa Mob wo Yurusanai is a slice-of-life show pouring charm out of its seams. It's an anime about a guy named Shiraishi who's so invisible that he's rumored to bring good luck to anyone who sees him. But there's one person, and somehow her entire family too, who doesn't miss him: his classmate Kubo, who's determined to make him come out of his shell.
The show is charming, funny, and heartwarming. The characters are all well-developed, and the animation is top-notch. But what sets it apart is that it explores the themes of invisibility and self-acceptance.
The animation and art style are top-notch, creating a vibrant
...
and visually pleasing world for our beloved characters to inhabit. And let's not forget about the soundtrack, folks. The OP, "Dramatic ja Nakute mo" by Kana Hanazawa, is a catchy and upbeat song that perfectly captures the show's blend of humor and non-dramatic, heartwarming moments. The ED, "Kasuka de Tashika" by DIALOGUE+, is a more mellow and reflective song that perfectly captures the show's themes of invisibility and self-acceptance. I also love the beautiful and atmospheric watercolor style of the ending animation.
I wasn't expecting to love the show this much, but I am a sucker for this genre. So, if you're looking for a no-drama and heartwarming anime, I highly recommend Kubo-san wa Mob wo Yurusanai.

My Home Hero: A Dark and Twisted Crime Drama
The title of this anime promises a suspenseful and thrilling story about a father who must protect his daughter from a dangerous boyfriend. And while the premise was certainly intriguing, the show ended up being much darker and more twisted than I had expected.
The characters in My Home Hero are all deeply flawed and morally ambiguous. For example, the protagonist, Tosu Tetsuo, is a seemingly ordinary man. But he is driven to violence when he discovers his daughter is abused by her boyfriend.
Tetsuo's actions set in motion a chain of events that quickly spiral out of
...
control, leading to a bloody and brutal climax.
The show is full of twists and turns that will keep you guessing until the end. But while the plot is certainly engaging, the characters are the ones who make My Home Hero stand out. The show does an excellent job of exploring the dark side of human nature, and the characters are all complex and well-developed.
However, the anime is not without its flaws. The animation is sub-par, and the voice acting is not always up to par. Additionally, the show can be graphic and violent, which may be off-putting to some viewers.
Pros:
Complex and well-developed characters
Engaging plot with plenty of twists and turns
Explores the dark side of human nature
Cons:
Sub-par animation
Not for everyone due to graphic violence
The ending may be unsatisfying for some
Overall:
My Home Hero is a mixed bag. It has some delightful elements, especially for those mystery fans out there. But it also has some flaws. Watch it if you are looking for a dark and twisted crime drama. Avoid this show if you are easily offended by violence or graphic content.

Teenagers.
"A romance anime about a bloodthirsty killer? That sounds like something I'd watch when I'm feeling edgy."
And you're right. "Boku no Kokoro no Yabai Yatsu" is a pretty edgy show. But it's also an amusing and heartwarming one.
The story follows Ichikawa Kyoutarou, a middle school student with a dark secret: he's a serial killer. But Ichikawa is not your typical killer. He's not a psychopath or a sociopath. He's just a lonely kid who's been hurt by the world.
One day, Ichikawa meets Anna Yamada, a beautiful and popular girl who is everything that Ichikawa is not. Yamada is kind, compassionate, and always willing to help
...
others. She sees the good in everyone, even Ichikawa.
As Ichikawa gets to know Yamada, he realizes that maybe he's not as bad as he thought. Maybe he's capable of love.
This sets the stage for some hilarious and awkward moments. Ichikawa gets caught up in crazy situations as he navigates the tangled web of teenage emotions.
"Boku no Kokoro no Yabai Yatsu" is a funny and heartwarming show that knows how to balance comedy and romance. You'll laugh at Ichikawa's ridiculous internal monologues and the hilarious misunderstandings. And you'll feel warm and fuzzy inside.
The animation is bright and colorful, and the voice acting is on point. The characters are relatable and endearing.
So if you're looking for a new anime, I highly recommend "Boku no Kokoro no Yabai Yatsu." It's a show that will make you laugh, cry, and perhaps think. Like about how the world has treated you. Maybe.

Let me tell you about "Saikyou Onmyouji no Isekai Tenseiki" - a show that will leave you laughing at how far this fantasy genre can be stretched out. This anime is the perfect template example of the combination of action-focused power fantasy and a bit of supernatural reincarnation spice thrown in for good measure. Except now, the author used a fictional historical Japanese exorcist to be transported to yet another medieval-based otherworld.
The show follows the story of an exorcist named Kuga Haruyoshi, who is reincarnated in another world after he dies in a power conflict. As the title suggests, he is the strongest exorcist in
...
his previous world and, basically, in this new world too. Reincarnated as Seika Lamprogue, he is now a young noble in a renowned family with a lineage of capable magic users.
Seika is accompanied by Yifa, one of the Lamprogue slave girls around his age, from early on in his life. Yifa is trained by Seika to be able to harness her magical aptitude. Their adventure in this season mainly focuses on his story of getting into and when he is enrolled in the magic academy. He has a group of quirky friends to 'help' him along the way. Together, they embark on action-packed adventures that involve Seika hiding his true power behind his friend's back to avoid getting assassinated in another power struggle.
One of the things that sets this show apart is its premise. The setting of a Japanese exorcist is enjoyable, and the author's usage of the possibility of such a role is spot on. It leaves the viewers wanting to know the extent of Seika's power compared with his friends. Although to be fair, the addition of romance progression into the mix (and even the choice of pairing him up with only girls) is questionable at best.
The animation is good in some scenes. Asking for smooth CG action sequences might be asking for a bit too much. But that definitely would have made the fight scenes more enjoyable to watch. The sound design is not that amazing, either. It has a faulty soundtrack that doesn't capture each scene's mood.
Overall, "Saikyou Onmyouji no Isekai Tenseiki" is a potential delight of a unique isekai but falls short of the direction and execution of the premise. The spice of a romcom is not entertaining at all. If you're a fan of action-focused power fantasy or good old-fashioned (at this point, isekai is an old thing) supernatural hijinks, this show might warrant a watch, even if only for the premise.
