Hate to be that guy, but it seems that most people who see this anime just don't get it!
On the surface, and from the first episode, it seems to be just another "social media bad" anime. But that's not quite what it has to say. It's more of a commentary of the flow of information in the digital age. The social media itself isn't treated as bad, it's how the government uses it that causes the main conflict in the story, and the heroes have to piece together facts that conflict with the official government's narrative to solve problems.

This show came out of nowhere and I didn't expect it to grab me like it is. I'm not usually a viewer of magical girl shows but this show alone has caused me to become addicted to the genre. It's not a comedy, not a deconstruction, not a kids' show, just a straightforward action show with fantastic writing. I'm not sure what the intended audience is for this show, given that it mixes cutesy highschool drama with actual violence and adult themes like whorehouses; which is a good thing in my opinion as it probably means the creators were just trying to express themselves, to ...

Good, clean, fun anime. There's not much of an overall plot, so it's very episodic, and the quality of the writing varies strongly between each episode--nothing so far has even come close to the brilliance of episode one. Episode 1 sets the show up to be a serious drama but it's honestly more of a monster-of-the-week comedy, a lot like Western action cartoons. It has a neat art style but the animation is super limited. The tone varies between comedic and serious depending on the episode. The characters are pretty one note but still fun.
