From Iceland's board of tourism (but it's so good)
The interactions between the characters is just wholesome, even if a bit stereotypical. The cool womanizing grandpa, the fat childhood friend, the beautiful auntie, the smart introvert girl that warms up to the main character, the handsome murderer. It's nothing that hasn't been done before, but it's a tried and true formula for a nice story.
Lilja just steals the show in every chapter she appears in volumes 1, 2 & 4, especially with the thirst traps in volumes 1 & 2. I just love the interactions between Kei and Lilja.
One critique I have is that Michitaka
...
got killed offscreen then resurrected for some reason in volume 6? I haven't read volume 7 yet so idk how this goes. But it's kinda weird having a giant overarching murder mystery subplot when most of it is just about slice of life. I do agree with some reviewers here that there is lack of focus on the slice of life part and the manga tries to focus too much on murder mystery and take breaks at the same time with slice of life. Interrupting the burning murder mystery makes for an agonizing read for volume 6.
Also, I wouldn't say it's an idiot plot, but Kei's just so stupid when it comes to protecting his brother. We as the reader all know Michi's a murderer and cut people up, yet watching Kei be completely oblivious is... agonizing.
