Okay, I cannot believe I’m saying this, but I actually really enjoy this series. I was on the fence when I saw Season 1, mainly because the whole "adult now a child" concept is weird; I still find that setup strange. However, setting that aside, I totally enjoy the show, love the characters, and appreciate the colorization. Sometimes the main character annoys me with his attempts to act all mysterious, especially since his original personality as an adult is so different from how he is now. Despite that, this season really delves into what working in media is actually like, which I enjoy, and explores

Editing my review after now seeing the final episode on Jul 2nd.
The ending: Extremely disappointing and I am listing my reasons for changing my review:
Overall Story Direction from Season 01-Season 02:
Let me start off by saying, everything I said below still stands. This is my first major introduction to a main Gundam anime. Even though my true introduction was Infinite Ryvius. Infinite Ryvius made me fall in love with Mecha Anime back in the early 2000s. Which is also a semi-school type of show. The show focuses on a brother dynamic that is not close, emotional, and often affects the both characters in

unchangeable/societal ways while having to save their peers stuck in space. While figuring out who is trying to attack them. However, the dynamic between the two brothers is portrayed realistically compared to some of the emotional reactions I see in Witch from Mercury. So when I saw Witch from Mercury, I was excited. But Sulettas go-happy and go lucky personality is off putting in so many scenes that one would not react as such. And with the way the show ended so fast, this is super noticeable. I feel everyone in a way got the go happy-go lucky treatment, esp the mother. I think everyone can agree we want wanted a good ending for the characters/Miorine/Suletta. Especially LGBTQ representation type of ending. However, the ending was way too rushed, poorly constructed, and characters who were pushed the side made the story-line even more confusing. I mention below in my initial review how Nikita and other characters are pushed to the side and really play zero influence on the story progression. Also, mass murder was committed on a huge level by so many characters, especially the mother. The mother had one goal the entire two seasons and the goal vanished in a split second. Why does Suletta become a character who continues to care for her mother, which in a way I can understand keeping that mentality. But the consistent theme seems to be, who cares if you commit mass murder gain and move forward right??? But her mother reverts to caring about Suletta, or does she, does she care for Suletta towards the end? That was very confusing to me? Yet the mother drastically changes because she goes from wanting to kill/manipulate suletta to give her Ericht towards the end. To then being given forgiveness by everyone around her, esp from the random ghosts of past characters appearing. Claiming they are proud of the mom? Why are they proud of her?? She killed many people all for her daughter. The mother at the end is sleeping in a wheelchair, but I do not understand how that correlated with Erich turning into a keychain?? I thought the keychains originally related to Miorine and Suletta? So why is she in a keychain? A lot of things kinda just happen with no explanation or context.
LGBTQ Representation:
The show claims to provide lgbtq representation indirectly/directly at times. It some scenes I can see the representation like in the beginning stating everyone should marry whom they want. However, I couldn't tell if they stated this to make a point for Miorine to get away from her father, or if she actually is a lesbian. I am unsure if it is true that they were truly trying to bring acknowledgement to lgbtq people. What I got more from the show and episode 12 ending was they were very good friends with a deep bond. It was never expressed in the show specifically if Suletta/Miroirne/etc were gay or queer. I kept on seeing many American articles claiming amazing representation from this show, excitement, etc. Yet Miorine marries a man at some point in season 02 for a brief period. As a lesbian, I am always on the fence with these kind of interpretations, esp from mainstream articles whom I am unsure of watch Japanese animation, yet alone are familiar with Japanese culture. But this show got a lot of acknowledgement from Mainstream lgbtq articles. Esp some claiming it re-defined the Gundam Genre. But as I watched, it was very evident that in a way the show was down-playing the representation to cater to the conservative people possibly watching the show in Japan. This became super super evident in the last episode of season 02. They do not state anything about Miorine and Suletta other then their a brief mention of a "mother in law." However, they show no wedding, nothing representing lGBTQ for their relationship. If you are going to state lgbtq representation in your works, why hide it? I felt like it was supressed with the way it ended. Its not obvious but enough to say "mother in law" so playing the safe card. Because like I said in my initial review, I appreciated the representation scenes in certain episodes. But what I got more from the show was a strong bond between the two female characters and less of a romantic relationship.
Transition Scenes:
Sometimes this show at times was hard to follow, there were traumatic scenes happening one moment, then quickly transitioning to being in a whole different ship/location. This happens in almost every starting episode/sometimes fight scenes.
Magic????
Okay, nothing in this episode had anything really to do with Gundam, everything became about magic. How is it possible all the dead characters re-appeared. What did that have to do with Gundam? Because if there is Magic then what is exactly Gundam? That sort of threw me off a bit.
Ericht becoming a keychain:
I am sorry, but a keychain? Bro gets to live their remaining life in a keychain??? How does that make any sense, considering the mother wanted her daughter to live freely. If the daughter couldn't live freely, why didn't they make her into something AI? Something that makes sense part of Gundam.
Older Review before Season 02 finale:
If one asked me to write an initial review regarding Season 01- into the beginning of season 02, episodes 01-04, I would say I like the show and I was excited to see how the build up was arriving. However, after season 01 ended and now knowing what I know. I am a bit worried how they were going to complete a whole story in a matter of 12 episodes. My concerns seem to appear more and more as each episode passes in season 02. I feel like as I continue watching, knowing now only 2 episodes are remaining, I am a bit let down by some character's story-lines briefly touched upon and then abruptly dropped.

Overall Story Direction from Season 01-Season 02:

However, after season 01 ended and now knowing what I know. I am a bit worried how they were going to complete a whole story in a matter of 12 episodes. My concerns seem to appear more and more as each episode passes in season 02. I feel like as I continue watching, knowing now only 2 episodes are remaining, I am a bit let down by some character's story-lines briefly touched upon and then abruptly dropped.
Character Development:
Ceres, Elan: They do this whole buildup about him being a copy-then is killed-a new Elan appears, and all he does is sit around for most of season 02. Then they show his reactions to having to fight around episode 09, but what makes it confusing is why is he being forgotten about, what was the purpose of killing off the Elan copy? If Elan's character is just sitting around doing nothing... to then have an epiphany that fighting=bad=see the world. So is this new Elan a better version? Because both copies have the same realizations, but in different ways and are dropped story wise. I can't imagine how much of a development they can add for his story arch in the remaining episodes. And it should say how little of an importance his character plays as he isn't even listed on the season 02 character list on MAL...
Nanaura, Nika: Nika also was another character who sits around for most of season 02. It was a bit confusing to me what her goal was in season 01. Then it was quickly explained in season 02. I don't understand how her goal is to now bring peace, but she originally paired with a semi terrorist organization. I honestly do not understand her character. So I cannot give much input.
(Supporting Characters) Shaddiq, Norea Du Noc, etc. I feel like characters that were given a story arch were quickly dropped or were too quickly killed off. Esp since they seem like characters who had important influence on the story. Supporting characters play an important role regarding how stories move forward. Especially if you have a large amount of supporting characters. There are so many supporting characters and story lines, I am not going to name them all. But clearly because of there being such a short 12 episodes, not every character that was brought has a fleshed out story line. But it is really noticeable in Shaddiq's story line, how he had a goal and it was quickly resolved to continue the story. Then Norea Du Noc, sharing how she felt angry by spacians take-over, killing people they loved. And there are many scenes of Elan, Norea Du Noc, and Nika sitting in a storage room. But nothing was addressed as to why they were sitting inside the storage room. It was kinda forgotten about. But then randomly they are able to leave the storage room and Norea Du Noc is shown drawing a lot of season 02 and it seems her drawings play a very important role. I do not understand why they show that, as they quickly killed off her character. I feel like she would have played an important role or influence. Because when the school was attacked, they started killing off random student's characters and it was done so fast. As they transition into focusing on the main characters forgetting all about her. I am unsure if that is just a personal opinion. Because her death felt important.
The only main/supporting characters I feel like are well written are Miorne, Suletta, Eri, Guel, Prospera, Chu Chu, the team Suletta joined together with her fellow pears, and that is about it.
Artistic stand Point
I really love how Sunrise is able to make action scenes so beautiful, hinting on some reliability on 3d scenes without going too over-board and staying true to 2d animation.
Overall Conclusion-The story is not bad, I really appreciate that Sunrise created a female focused Gundam series. But it does lack something, but it does not mean I did not enjoy watching the show. But what I do not understand is why the show is moving very quickly as there are other Gundam series with multiple/ many seasons. Is it because it is female focused? Did the show not do well in Japan? I cannot imagine that is the case as Gundam is very popular. But I could be wrong about that. I also like how the show touches on sexuality. I feel like the point of the show is not caring about who you are with. What matters is being with someone who loves you. Nobody cares in the show whether you are with a woman or a man. You can love a woman or a man and not be judged. I think that was very beautiful to add into the series. I think they did a good job touching about that in a light-hearted way. As they seemed to focus on the importance of female bonds and how those relationships matter. As I have said in prior reviews of other anime's. I feel like now-a days shows are being given the McDonald/fast food treatment. The show has so much potential, but is being forced to be concluded by the 12 episode mark. In addition, they will create all of these characters and consistently abruptly end character developments, character relationships, and just move on to something else. This is not new to anime, I have seen many older anime's do this. But what is different now is how much anime is being produced that this observation is becoming more and more consistent in what is considered a main stream anime. I am disappointed a bit, but I enjoyed it. So I give the show an 7/10.

One word I can say about my review for Chainsaw Man is straight up confused. I would look forward to watching Chainsaw Man, so there is something the show is doing right for me to want to continue engaging. But there were aspects that made me feel wanting more. Like when you go to a restaurant and have an awesome meal. But you feel like something was missing. I feel like that is Chainsaw Man but... I don't think this show is a masterpiece or amazing, so I don't really understand the hype because of that missing feeling. I think the show is good, not
...
bad, and not great all at the same time.
Animation:
I appreciated the action scenes, interesting animation perspectives, and westernized media influence on certain aspects of how characters/opening, etc were created. I thought that aspect of the show made it interesting and made the show unique. However, there were way too many scenes overly done in 3d animation, which made some of the action scenes appear overly slow, weird, and flat. In the beginning scene where Denji is in the car, I did not like how the 3d animation translates in the scene. Maybe its me not being used to watching Anime in 3d, not sure what it could be. That aspect is not my criticism to the story, strictly animation. I judge a story and its animation separate, but animation can affect how a story is told. In addition, I watched the opening, some of the characters look so plain, simple, and weird. Because pedestrians appear walking very slowly, scenes where Denji may fall of a building, just all seam to appear in slow motion.
Story:
What I like about Chainsaw Man:
I liked the basic premise of the story, how humans and devils coincide in society. I like how each devil is unique and share a obligation to a devil in some aspect for the powers they possess. Hayakawa, Aki- this character felt fleshed out to me. They show you how his family died, how he is feeling, and his purpose. So I felt very connected to Aki and liked his story line. I def want to buy Aki merch. I also felt like Himeno was an interesting character, but I didn't really understand how she arrived to working for the organization. You can def feel the westernization influence in some of the scenes for sure, esp the immediate action scenes/conversation amongst characters, I thought this was interesting. I like how they portray characters who came from dysfunctional backgrounds and how the characters self reflected on their ability to connect with others, what life means to them, and what they live for, and why they live to begin with.
What I do not like about Chainsaw Man:
It feels like people in the background exist to exist. You don't really seem to gather any information on how civilization feels about devils. All you see is people running way during violence. Esp this terrorist who kills people and how they have to find the bullets left behind. I know next to nothing how this devil affected society, other then how the devil killed Aki's family. Aki and this devil make sense in the story, but is randomly added in later episodes. We go from Denji to a variation of other character story lines in the first season within a short period. This could be the animation companies fault, not really a story aspect. Because I know some anime animations are on a deadline, so that is why I want to know how this affected society, and why this is important to the characters working in the organization. I have never read the manga, so my review is strictly coming from solely watching the anime alone. People in society feel like NPC's. I never once thought about people living in society. The only information I gathered about people are about the individuals who are part of their various organizations. Whether it be they are working for the government, terrorist organizations, etc. But I think this is where I felt that something is missing feeling. Because some of the characters lack emotion, are obsessed with eating other people, and lack understanding of others, AND STAY THIS WAY CONSISTENTLY. Which I understand in some aspect is part of the story, they are devils. And this does not only apply to But you don't really get a background of each character. You can apply this to Higashiyama, Kobeni. She was a super confusing character, she freaks out every 2 seconds, says se is doing this all for her family. Yet kills people without an issue. That type of character development is confusing and makes no sense to me, I didn't really understand how she fits with the story. However, some of the emotional reactions are awkward between characters, scream a ton, and are obsessed with sex, etc.
Long story short, I think the show deserves a chance, its not bad. But like I said, there are drawbacks, but a show that I would say is worth watching. But feels like any other Actiony anime I have watched.

There are so many things I want to say about Skip to Loafer, what a gem of an Anime. I very much value adaptations esp manga that do a great job of depicting real human relationships/experiences. The back and forth and personalities between the characters are so vivid, unique, and you can tell that the manga creator took real life experiences and added them into the manga. I loved this anime so much; the first couple episodes I went and ordered all of the volumes that have come out so far. I never do this for most anime I watch, so it says a lot

about how good this show is. I know this show is not trending #1, but it is def trending in my heart. I plan to def follow the continuation of Misaki Takamatsu's work.

There are so many things I want to say about Attack on Titan, the day has finally come where I can review this show knowing how it began to end. I have been watching this show since the very day it came out in 2013. At first, I liked the show, I thought the premise or point of the show was different/good. I think the author had some really good ideas. And there are some good pathways this author could have taken with their ideas. However, I am going to be making my review overall on the current time and what we know now. This
...
review also includes me as a reader, as I also read the manga and completed the manga. So, I am coming with this as a full watcher and reader of Attack on Titan. So, this will not be some BS review. Even if I dislike a show, I will do my HW before spouting a review.
1 What keeps this show going and makes it good is the absolute amazing animation by the animators and action scenes. The people animating in WIT Studio/MAPPA are talented and deserve good pay. Everyone can agree, the amount of effort that went into animating for the show is amazing. So, I have zero reviews on that, as they did a great job.
2) HOWEVER, if you remove the amazing action scenes, pretty animating. Which we can all agree is about 9999% of the show. The show reveals how absolute garbage it is. When I say this, I mean the writing. When I say garbage, I am speaking on many factors, which will be laid out below. Now I am sure a fan will be reading what I just said and before a fan says to this review, "you must not know good anime, your review is in poor taste." Let me explain first why I say this as an almost 20-year anime watcher. I have seen many variations of well written anime, poor written anime, & anime masterpieces. As I am sure many would say the same. But there is a reason I am bringing this up.
Review:
Story Line/Character Development:
I would say this show in some respects lacks character development and say, 50/50% character development occurs between some characters but not all of them or consistently. The show is all over the place and I would say some of the characters really seem to develop sporadically, especially in season 4. Which is one of the pet peeves I have about this show. That is what makes it hard to really rate the show. This show at times is so hard to follow because of this, which is affected by the writing. There are so many plots, side characters, story arcs. The only characters I felt connected to and liked and felt they were well written were Armin, Gabi, Levi, Reiner, Connie, Sasha, Hange, Picolo, Zeke. There may be some I am missing, but those are the ones who are on the top of my head. I absolutely adored these characters; they had a goal which stayed consistent with the entire show. You can see and understand why they are corpse members, how they interact with side characters, and their families. In addition, their views changed, and you see they have a goal, to make society better. Reiner ironically became a character I liked. This shows me why and how a character gets to how they become, and how they reach the end. I also noticed a lot of side characters were better written than EREN or Mikasa. Let me start off by saying, I DO NOT LIKE EREN or Mikasa and how they are both written. Women in this show are written so poorly, it makes me sad as a strong woman myself. I liked Eren in the earlier seasons. I also always wondered why Levi Hated Eren all along and called him selfish. Heck, ironically an imaginary character was calling out bad characters. I feel Eren is the most psychopathic, poorly written selfish character I have ever seen. And that isn’t even a critique, as this is a distaste in personality, but the critique comes in is I feel nothing for this character. This character has never showed compassion, this character just is pure evil. This character never had a purpose. The purpose of Eren starts off as a loving child who’s goal is to save humanity and to learn about the titans, which is simple, understandable, and makes sense. But how we get to season 04 is not translated in earlier seasons as the show and manga start off with one theme, KILL THE TITANS. But Eren, his character never has any personality, as most of them do not. The character just expects everyone to jerk off to him metaphorically and suffer around him and they do when we get to season 04. Mikasa, never shows character development. All she does is follow Eren. I have no idea who Mikasa is, about her homeland, and what she believes in. I just know this woman says ERIN, ERRRREENNNN. It reminds me of a toxic relationship almost, how all Mikasa does is say, EREN, EREN, EREN, ERENNNNNNN. In the last chapter special, I was appalled to see the characters running towards small Eren. Stating, “LET US TAKE THE BURDEN OFF OF YOU.” While Eren literally wipes out their loved ones with no problem. Saying nobody is free, but, Eren has free will. Eren says he is doing this to save his people but has no problem wiping all the characters’ families loved one’s off. This character has stayed consistent all along, yet the characters in the show think Eren is suffering and trying to make all these interpretations about him, and he is a good guy. When at the end of the day, Eren thinks freedom is you decide if you want to stop me. But Imma keeps doing me boo. Which is again, a toxic relationship. And not how I would picture anyone to really react to killing their loved ones off. Your loved ones are being murdered by someone who has full control of their thoughts, emotions, etc. Each character had a goal and the whole them is kill the titans, like I said above. The whole show is written around basically this one character. Then drastically changes in season 04. Eren went from being selfish to everyone is my bitch in a split second. Everything surrounds this character, every action, every move, etc.
Story Line: Which is one of the pet peeves I have about this how. This show at times is so hard to follow, which affects the writing. I mentioned this above because every time a new season would return, I’d find myself confused. I thought at first that was normal, but it is not. As I came to discover, the author who created the story had no idea what the plot was initially. In an interview he said he didn’t even know where the show/characters were going. Which it also makes it hard for me to write the review. Because while I see some awesome ideas, they are not registering well in the show. Everything is going all over the place, and there is so much information you need to understand the show. You are less able to really critique it, because you are spending time trying to understand where it is going.
Going back to the character development, this toggles into the character development/lack thereof. Eren says he has one goal, “move forward.” However, the show teaches that destruction is the answer. While showing characters who disagree, the change in characters going from I hate this set of people to, I fucked up. I am about to die; can I take it back now?” While that may pose true in reality, I can see how that is something to present.
Conclusion: The author had many great ideas, but poorly executes them. The author had great characters and poorly writes them and because the author does not have a set path, so everything presents all over the place. I WOULD not recommend this as a starter anime. Too much confusion and parts to follow. Almost like following a bad relationship, trying to put all the pieces together.

Ok, I have to say it. I have dedicated watching 205 episodes of Boruto and I cannot do it anymore. Its like growing up, its great until it stops. It's so boring at times and something about the show does not have the same charm and qualities of the original. Idk if it's the bad computer animation compared to the show Naruto. The show Naruto had awesome drawings of the fight scenes, of the characters overall, and hand drawn backgrounds which made it really good. But 205 episodes is as far as I could get. I may just read the manga and watch the scenes
...
when it FINALLY gets to Boruto being an adult and we know what happens to Naruto.

I really enjoy this anime. The story is great, its different, it has meaning, and is super funny. I love Anime's that have a good back & forth. And some anime's do not have that. This anime although does, which I appreciate. I also love the art style, I def recommend this anime. I couldn't stop watching. And I honestly did not expect to like this anime as much as I do. I really hope they come out with merch for this show. I think others will enjoy this series because it is about a young woman, looking to find herself in a maid career.
...
And the like-minded journey of each character and why they became maids. At first with watching the show, you could interpret it as a cliche everyone wants to be a maid for the sake of wearing cute outfits, plus typical violence. But there is a richer meaning behind it, that some didn't succeed in other roles in life and turned to becoming a maid. Others who are 10 years older than their peers, showing at any age you can be a maid and love what you do. Others, run away from their problems, yet working in a maid career can bring you happiness, as you bring happiness to your cafe guests. You don't have to be a 20 something to be a maid or enjoy what you love. That was honestly my favorite part of the show. And how it's almost like a mafia, how all the women yet acting out violently, yet find meaning and comradery within keeping their maid cafes sacred.

I really liked this show, it reminds me of the older amines back in early 2000s. Is it a masterpiece of kiss chef work. No, but it is cute, enjoyable, slice of lifey. I like the main characters personality, very laid back. Not bothered by anything compared to her childhood best friend. Her friend thinks it is impressive to go to a fancy school, with fancy opportunities, etc. Meanwhile her main character friend could give zero care about what school she is going to. What I found interesting was how they juxtapose the differences between going to a average school, being surrounded by an amazing

school. A school that provides luxuries, like a self driven bus up a hill, activities, exploration of different occupations/classes/ Unlike the main characters opportunities. She got into an average school, with average opportunities. That provides very little for the students, teaching them basic things. In which, you can compare to the real world. How the rich/privileged get more opportunities than others going to maybe an OK school. I don't really understand how some do not like the show. But I def would say its a worthy watch. The shows title, literally represents the purpose, do it yourself.

I never write reviews. I felt so compelled because that is how terrible this remake is. I was lucky to even make it past the first episode. I have never watched the full original Tokyo Mew Mew growing up consistently. However, I was quite excited to watch the 2022 remake. I grew up with occasionally watching the 4Kids English Dub back in the day. And it was super cute and enjoyable. This review is coming from someone WHO HAS NOT WATCHED THE ORIGINAL TOKYO MEW MEW IN DEPTH. This remake is such a disappointment. I don't know if its the chunky animation or how

basic the costumes look on the characters in the modern day version compared to the past. But there is zero charm to the remake. And the manga author would be crying knowing how terrible they did her on this 2022 version. You can tell there is literally zero love put into the remake. Now I am not a huge remake watcher. I take remakes as a grain of salt. However, you can tell when love is put into something that is based on something so beloved and this remake and THIS IS NOT IT. The remake should be good enough that it also makes you wanna watch the original. This remake is so bad it makes you wanna pretend it does not exist. The original has beautiful music, cuteness, a story with effort. Take it from someone who didn't even watch the original that, that is how bad this new version is. If your a newcomer to the Tokyo Mew Mew franchise, take the remake for what it is. It is basically a remake to make the dolla bills not for the enjoyment of the fans. As how anime is being treated more now-a days.
