I love reading forbidden love stories. I don't mean the rich girl-poor guy type or love between a couple whose families are bitter enemies. What I meant is the huge age gap in romances, incest, student-teacher, etc.
I honestly loved Domestic girlfriend which portrayed all those, but somewhere down the line it lost its track, but Watashi no shounen is an epic manga that didn't do the same mistake.
This story is about a 30-year-old lady (Satoko) who is tired of life, tired of being forced to live the rules of society finds a 12-year-old boy who is mostly neglected by his parents in a park playing
...
soccer at night. They both find solace in each other and are able to forget the pain. But then as you know society doesn't accept this type of relationship and so this is a realistic story about the journey of these two out-of-place characters.
The characters are so realistic and relatable that you can feel as if you were them, you can feel their dilemma, you can feel their love. coming to Satoko she is such a mature and pure lady that I would fall in love with her over and over again, I will never forget her. The story tries to do a little bit of a shoujo approach in the middle but then it comes back to the main plot and ends it properly instead of milking fans with tons and tons of chapters with the unwanted and unrealistic storyline.
The art is freaking beautiful, the characters look so captivating and realistic that you would forget that these are manga characters.
I know the ending kind of pissed of many people, even the author was in a dilemma on how to tackle this tough subject. It felt like she took a cowardly route, but even then I loved the way the story ends in a mature fashion. This is where this manga shined and captured my heart while the manga 'Miman Renai' failed to do so. I know this manga has a shota hentaish plot but please give it a try, it is such a pure story that you will definitely not regret reading this. Just show this story some love and recognition it deserves. Peace.

Every mystery novel fan knows about Agatha Christie. If you are a hardcore fan, you would even know about how her quality of writing started declining until her last book was published, which of course, was written by her 40 years ago.
Anyways I felt the same feeling of reading that book after reading tons of mystery manga. To be honest, it's hard to find a good mystery manga as all manga writers tend to use supernatural elements more, but this one is a unique story.
I don't understand why this manga is so underrated here in MAL, but let me explain everything about why people must
...
have had a bad opinion on such a beautiful manga.
The story starts off with our Main character Haruno who is a specialist cleaner who cleans dead-body and the stains remaining. It might be normal death, suicides, or murders. Suddenly there are a series of serial murders being all over his place, and our Mc's close associates become the victim. So our guy starts investigating on his own, he vows to find the killer in the name of justice, he is even prepared to kill him if necessary.
You see, almost all characters are flawed, but the main essence of the manga has brought out the feeling of reading a mystery thriller novel like that of famous authors. It also has portrayed the concept of suicide, the amount of trauma that gives to the people who are left behind due to it. Like to what extent people can stoop to if they have experienced such trauma of seeing their loved ones die. The main flaw in this story is that, it has vast amount of cast and less character development and also a new development in the murder case every chapter and tons of people dying like a joke. I understand the frustration but everything is explained at the end about the reason why things happen that way.
At the end of the day, this is one of awesome manga, which kept me on edge even though I partly knew the spoilers. So don't be bothered by the ratings here, just go and read it, I am sure you won't regret the time spent to read.
peace

Spolier alert.
I've read lots of stories on forbidden love, from incest to large age gaps. This story started out well, it had that cute innocent high school love story but ended up messing at the last chapter.
Kurose is almost 30 year old man and he meets this innocent 13 year girl and falls in love with her. I wouldn't mind him falling in love with her because he never dated any girl before and he doesn't have any ill intention with her.
So this story had these misunderstandings where our male lead thinks the girl hates him for his work as a hentai game programmer but
...
it backfires and makes the girl like him, to be honest she actually admires him.
So at the end, he ends up proposing her, well she obviously rejects him due to her studies or whatever, but taking pity on him being an unmarried single, she suggests him to wait for her to turn 18 for them to get married or date. Well i can understand the girl's intentions as she was sorry for how his life has turned out and has fun time when he is around and the main point is she only dated one guy and she doesn't know anything about relationships.
But our Old man is a stubborn selfish bastard decides to wait for her to turn 18 so as to get married which I feel is really wrong. If he had really loved her, he should try to understand what is best for her. He knows his was only a one sided love, but forces her to be in a relationship with him, deprives her of young love, heartbreaks etc. I wouldn't mind if both fall in love with each other and can't live separated but no, he just wanted to mess her life and make her constrained with an old man for the rest of her life.
Peace

Sexuality and gender orientation is the topic debated for many generations and is also still continuing.
This manga is a story about a guy named Shuuichi Nitori (Shuu) who has a best friend(a girl) named Yoshino Takatsuki who wants to be a boy, so she makes him wear her clothes instead of her. Although a bit reluctant at first but also interested, Shuu starts cross-dressing on the demands of her, various friends and even his sister as they all admire his cute personality. What started as a fun habit or for admiration, later leads to a point which makes him question his gender orientation.
So as to
...
not spoil the story, let me tell something about myself so you can understand why I was able to like this manga:
Almost all weak boys have this boyish trait (manly) and girly trait (cute side) present in them. The me who used to do things based on what the society thinks or how my friends would like me, I very much hated the girly trait inside me so as to not get teased or laughed at, and hence I suppressed it and always wanted to become a man quickly. Since I was also attracted to females, so this was more like a catalyst for me embracing the manly trait and I don't regret my decision. But who knows what would have happened if I was introduced to the world of cross-dressing, I might have embraced the other side more.
So as you can understand from my story that I could have turned to either gender depending on the situation, thoughts, circumstances etc. Besides this, I have also met many on the internet who are cross-dressers, I've had a premonition mindset that they were just perverts who wanted to touch girl's clothes and wear them.
But nevertheless, this manga explains you various topics from people like me who stayed as it is, people like Shuu who experienced change from childhood and people who embrace it at a later stage of age and many other questions related to gender and sexuality.
Your mindset would completely change, after reading this manga. In fact, I have decided to bluntly support people who come out as LGBT or even asexuality. It's not that I would ask them to change their gender quickly, just being moral support and telling them that, you are there for them makes them feel secure, because God knows how many months and years they might have thought and struggled to whether tell about their inner feelings to others. Talking out in a way not to hurting them, helps to clear yours and their's misunderstandings and misconceptions.
Although this manga tells the story from childhood to the age of 18 years, it does have some boring or rather tiring parts for about 20-30 chapters(as it was hard to explain the circumstances of huge cast of characters) but that's what makes it a masterpiece as it fleshes out every part of character development without much hurry, also the art is little confusing sometimes as to who is speaking to whom, but then this manga was never written with any malicious intent, in fact, it doesn't even have a proper kissing scene drawn.
I would definitely recommend this manga as you can't understand these hard topics by just watching a 2 hours movie, it needs some time and that's what this manga does properly. It was an emotional and beautiful journey while reading it, I hope you enjoy too.

Looking at the synopsis of Domestic girlfriend you must be wondering, this is a perfect plot for a threesome hentai and bingo!!!! You are correct this is an erotic manga, though most people might deny it, it is one.
Just like everyone after seeing the first episode of anime, I got curious and started reading the manga just whether to continue to watch anime or not after. But after 24 hours I'm in chapter 200, with a vision of writing a review.
There is a saying that looking for a plot in hentai is really stupid, but in fact, this has one, just like every other romance
...
manga (like Nana) where MC is in love triangle and has a problem in selecting whom without hurting the other. I would say that the story isn't great or anything if you look at it from a shoujo/romance manga's point of view, in fact, it has a storyline like that of milking money out of a weak plot. But if you look at from the hentai point of view, I would say it has a more realistic scenario than most hentai.
I'll stop here about the pros and cons and dive into what the overall plot is with minor spoiler (which aren't spoilers but just my opinion):
From all the chapters I've read I can understand where this manga is going, Basically it looks like any other harem story where MC is a nice person and all the girls start falling for him, but I think it's all just to keep the plot going as the main objective is that MC must love both step-sisters and eventually marry both of them and happily live ever after.
But what I liked the most was, it tackles some realistic topics like the competition in the literary world, the marketing techniques etc (of course being an author is easy to write it as being acquainted) which is what I liked in Nana(manga) which deals with the music industry.
Coming to character development:
Well, character development of the 3 MCs is good. In fact, like many mentioned it started out great in early chapters but with the cast growing enormously it was obviously difficult to concentrate on everyone, so that's a major drawback but of course why would anyone want to observe this in a hentai.
Rui: She is the younger step sister who is like the cute dense waifu character who has weak (wrong) communication skills but manages to get what she wants as she expresses without being shy. I personally vouch for her.
Hina: She is the older sister who is like the cheerful ideal girlfriend who gets hurt while trying to meet the expectations of people while suppressing her own feeling. I like her as she is just like me who is a bit realistic and mature in thinking. (but I personally like Rui over her)
Natsuo: He is a writer and an ideal harem kingu but I kinda liked his character (though I hate a harem MC) as he is actually aware of his surroundings and acts accordingly unlike some Mc’s who kiss their girlfriend in front of other crush or give in to seductions by cheating on their present girlfriend. Although he starts out immature but in the long run, you could see him handle things well.
Other characters are basically there to either break or make the relationship possible between MC and either of the two sisters.
Some people might be offended thinking that incest is being involved but the MC is acquainted with both the sisters way before their parents marry and they aren’t even related by blood so I think there is nothing wrong with the plot. The jokes are handled well, not too much exaggeration but not too hilarious either, but it has really good irritating plot twists which keep the story interesting.
Well sorry for writing such a long review for a hentai, overall it wasn’t a trash, but it’s a good hentai with some realistic elements. Just read it for erotic pleasure, it doesn’t deal with any life teaching topics, it’s just your normal soap opera with twists at the end of every chapter. It’s worth the time if you willing to read an erotic manga :)
P.S: Did I mention the words erotic and hentai too many times, well I''m sorry :P

Recently I've read "Vagabond" only to know that it went on hiatus, thus being depressed I found a similar manga called Vinland saga and lo it was as if I hit a gold mine. Vinland saga might be similar to berserk and vagabond, but hell no!!! It's actually closer to Fullmetal Alchemist.
Hatred, revenge, failure, realization and finally redemption that what Vinland saga is about. What I found amusing was not the brutality of wars but the ideals or philosophy it conveys effectively.
In this story there are no dragons, there are no mythical beasts, perhaps that’s what it is as of now, but it's just an
...
alternate history of age of Vikings where people try to make the world a better place. Some use power, some use love, some run away, it shows various ways people might struggle to make theirs and the surroundings a better place.
I’ll warn you before itself that this isn’t like “Berserk” where MC is a badass going on rampage nor does it dwell in a lot of supernatural elements where spirits talk as in “Vagabond”, but this is a story of humanity and love.
What makes this manga interesting is not the MC but the side ones which influence the situation.
I don’t want to mention characters as it would only be spoiling so I’ll just mention about one person: Thorkell, he is a ruthless savage who only longs for wars but at the same time he is a person who has a dark sense of humor who makes you laugh crazily, in that way every character depicts the presence or feel.
There is also one drawback many might object is the time-skip, tbh I think I praise the author for avoiding unnecessary pages by drawing those parts as it is better left for imagination rather than spoon feeding everything, cos there is a lot of plot to be completed and it would just be another filler arc.
Many a time there are situation where you might have "hope" for things to go well in the story but finally they end up the same you thought would happen without being given the hope, you might call it cheap trick to provoke unnecessary tear-jerking moments but in fact if you and I were in that situation we would be making the same hasty decisions which might eventually land us in that same shit.
Art is good, also the fighting scenes are well drawn, but as I said it doesn’t focus more on unnecessary crap, so don’t expect berserk or vagabond badass scenes here or the quality of art as every chapter is drawn in just a month.
Thereby I would say that Vinland Saga is the best thing I’ve read and I don’t regret the time I've spent to read it even though I have an exam tomorrow, that much worth is the story. It is easy to understand the philosophy, realistic, thrilling and best thing is we have hope that we get a new chapter released at the end of every month without fail, unlike Berserk and Vagabond which have no clue when they might end.

I've always despised reviews which compare manga with their anime adaptations. But after watching hinamatsuri, I've come to know the pain of the reviewers who wrote them, for the first time!!!
If you laughed at jokes of "school rumble" then hinamatsuri will make you laugh 10 times more.
If "Disastrous life of Saiki kusuo" made you laugh once in 5 minutes then hinamatsuri will make you laugh twice in that duration.
If "Detroit metal city" killed you with laughter by using sex jokes, beware for hinamatsuri will make you laugh in the same way but without anything sexual at all. Hinamatsuri is one the most comedic gag stories
...
written.
Even with all these praises, you must be wondering, so what the hell with the given rating????
Well, all those things you would experience only while reading the manga. But the stories used in anime is also the same, so why isn't this anime good?????
Two important things a gag anime should have and this doesn't have is:
"Timing and execution"
Without those two the whole purpose of a gag anime is ruined. While watching the anime, the execution was so slow that you wouldn't even notice if that was a joke. Many times I had to think back a few seconds and make a discovery- oh this was a joke and it seems I have to laugh.
The most important mistake done here was that this anime was made as if to give you smile at the end of the day, like a person goes through lots of trouble in the episode and he/she gets a happy ending by the end of the episode....which is really wrong in the case of hinamatsuri!!!!
Because this isn't a slice of life like "Usagi drop" where a single father adopts a cute orphan girl.
This is rather a story of a dumb supernatural girl who forces a person to take care of her. It contains so many eccentric characters, with their weird habits that make you die with laughter.
Well, I dropped this anime since the jokes were boring and it seemed that the 23 minutes of content wasn't worth to just give a small smile like "Aria the animation".
But when I read the manga, I've realized how much of potential was wasted just due to missing of proper "timings and execution".
The art is really weird, it's just not the common facial features you see in other anime and it is more prominent in anime due to colors, hence it takes nearly 2-3 episodes to get adjusted.
Well, the music is good. The opening is good to hear. But I don't think you need to watch this anime for those when you can't even enjoy.
I'm not saying this anime is trash, but it's just that, why to watch 23 minutes x 12 episodes of pointless things just for a few smiles. Yeah tbh, it's a pointless story with no morals, but it was written only for laughing at your heart's content. So instead of missing out the masterpiece, go read the manga and let all your sadness be taken away from you.

Watching Sakurada Reset felt like watching various popular shows at the same time:
~ Take a setting like that of "Charlotte" where people have special powers,
~ but make the story revolve around few characters with time reversal like "STEINS;GATE",
~ bring in an MC who has logic and intelligence like Ayumu from "Spiral: Suiri no Kizuna",
~ Making the conversations long like "HYOUKA" or "MONOGATARI series" and
~ finally most importantly add the philosophy like that of "MAWARU PENGUINDRUM" whose true essence never came out and there you get "Sakurada reset"
So basically, the story is simple, a town having people with special abilities and there is a mysterious
...
Administration Bureau which controls how the things work, but our MC tries to help them but also tries to uncover the secrets behind the organization.
The main problem with this series is that, it tried to put 24+12 episodes of content in 24 episodes which made it seem little less lively but that doesn't mean the series is worthless like the rating shown, but to be honest the content of the story is on par with all the names of anime I have mentioned earlier. As the story covers events of elementary, middle and high school life in just this short span.
This series has one of the best written stories because when it states the rules of a person's abilities, it strictly sticks to it and also gives us insight of how it can be used various other things, which you might not expect when you aren't thinking out of the box, which shows like "Fate/stay night: Unlimited Blade Works" failed miserably, as they don't give any proper reason for rules being bent for the sake of story.
The most important thing which I've found interesting in this series is the "Philosophical thoughts" which were really well written and analyzed and no doubt they are even applicable in our real world.
Coming to characters, its the main drawback of the series, I mean mostly only 3 characters are developed and that too you wouldn't know much of their backstory about why they were being emotionless. That's what makes people hate this show, i.e., you can't say which character you like the most or whose behavior you liked, but you can only just say that the ending is beautiful and a story worth the watch.
The MC Asai Kei might not be cool, but he is definitely one of the smartest characters in anime history. Its just that he is not someone who you might take for a favorite person, but he has good ideas, also he is someone who tries to reach everyone needs, which is as if he is trying to be a God but if you just skip that part of his naïve ideal rest assured is good.
Coming to soundtracks, there aren't any noteworthy soundtracks, but the op and ed songs are good to listen.
Art is very common, which isn't much appealing to see but it's alright to watch.
Well that being said, this series might not be something great, but it definitely underrated and has one of well-written story and philosophy, so watch it with patience as the ending is worth the watch. It doesn't have cool fights but it has some really interesting battle of wits. I know people dropped it because waiting for week for a single episode is a real pain, but now you can binge watch it and taste the true essence of a masterpiece.

Railgun S is not as good as the previous season, to be honest this felt more unrealistic to watch.
Coming to story, its very simple, clones of railgun/Misaka (MC) are made by some shady organisation and railgun tries to figure out the reason behind it and tries to stop it.
The main problem with this story was pacing, it was very slow, all the characters seem dumb.
For eg:
1) Railgun meets her clone for first time, she comes to know that some experiments are being conducted, instead of tailing her, she announces to her that she would tail and meet the person behind the experiment, which is really
...
stupid as the clone would obviously oppose to it.
2) Then there is kuroko (Railgun's best friend and roommate), she watches railgun being out of dorms all night, and she listens to all the blasts taking place throughout the city, but her being a judgement officer (They are students who enforce law in city), she doesn't take any move, nor the judgement staff as they used to be really active in season 1 with every small problems arising.
3) There is a scene where railgun is stopped by Touma (Railgun's crush) to not go on a suicide mission. tbh she could actually fly past ignoring him as he basically doesn't possess any power except hands, but instead she tries to attack him to move him out of the way.
4) There is also a scene with Accelerator (supposed Villain of this season) fighting Touma, when he could actually fight him at long distance range easily, instead for the plot's sake he fights with hands.
Even the way the twists shown are not good, as you wouldn't find anything surprising, its all pretty straight forward and also the philosophy and ideals are not good, they seemed forced. (for eg. there is a question posed frequently in the series: what is your reaction if you see your own clone?
and there is only one answer that is "being creeped out" and none other opinion.
Coming to character development:
Its Railgun, clones, railgun fighting, clones fighting, railgun being sad, remembering mom and a little accelerator and Touma for 16 episodes and bam!!! Lets go back to slice of life back.
The songs were pretty good, also the osts are good to listen.
I hate the art, especially the oily face of Railgun and nose of all characters.
Overall its good, but not great, but definitely better than "A certain Magical Index" as this has more action and less stupid dialogues compared to childish naive 'being the hero over-action'.

Koro sensei is one of the best teachers, even now 2 days after completion of the series, I still feel emotional whenever I think back about it.
( This is review of both the seasons of assassination classroom)
As you can see(synopsis) this story is about a octopus monster(koro sensei) who suddenly appears out of nowhere and threatens to eliminate the earth unless the students of class 3-E assassinate him while him being a teacher to them.
This class consists of students who are of low IQ and made to go to a class which is abandoned out of main school building. All the students have no motivation
...
and feel like the scum of the earth.
To be honest this anime doesn't have much of story, nor does it have many twists, it's pretty much straight forward and simple, but it does give you suspense feeling until the end for sure.
Although this series looks like students learning assassination skills to kill the teacher, but the thing is, this makes us look in the perspective of a teacher, who uses all his efforts to train his students, impart the knowledge to them in best possible way.
I mean in general weak students don't listen to the teacher, also many teachers try to force children to their method of study, but koro sensei, does make them both study easily as well as develops their talents and makes them the future citizens of the country who know what their responsibilities and ideals are.
Just watch the anime and learn the past of koro sensei and how he trains the children and how they compete with the top students of the school in both studies and other school activities like games etc.
I'll forever cherish the memories of koro sensei and class 3-E, cos it was a emotional journey, they did everything what I couldn't do in school life and enjoyed life to the fullest.
Season 2:
Although this series is wonderful, it had lot of drawbacks, like all the school life and stories end by 12 episodes, the rest of the series is all about the history of koro sensei and the tentacles and the conclusion of the junior high school. Many episodes felt for half the duration like filler episodes, also whatever character development was done in first season was not fully utilised in second. And the ending felt a bit dragging but it was worth.
Many a times, when someone else other than the children try to kill koro sensei, the children try to foil them as they want to kill him instead, I always wondered why won't they let him die as killing him saves the earth no matter who kills. But then I realised they are middle school children, and they have naïve ideals which suits the way they think.
So overall this series is wonderful, although it had potential to have another season instead of ending with just 2, but the writer didn't try to beat around the bush and plunged directly to the end quickly. Even the back stories of everyone are believable without much dragging.
Well the animation was good, which is better than danganronpa, also the op and Ed songs were good to listen. There are some good soundtracks too, but the I was so immersed in the story I couldn't observe them.
This is wonderful series which tells how even though life maybe unfair, you need to deal with them accordingly, leave the past and move on to become a better person to society.
