Taishou Otome is one of those romance animes that has the power to give you diabetes because of its sweetness overdose: from the characters, plot, storyline, dialogue, etc.
The manga is on par with this anime adaptation. Since the chapters in the manga are very short and it only has one major arc, Taishou Otome really exceeded my expectations. People compare this anime to Tonikawa Kawaii, which I find it interesting, because of how sweet of our two beloved main characters. Their blossoming romance and cute romantic moments, including dialogue, really strikes my heart to invest to watch this anime more. Common thing between those
...
two shows is simple: hardcore romance and undeniable sweetness. it is obvious that they are really different, but from what I can tell you, the high level of romantic fluff is the same as Tonikawa Kawaii. And of course, Yuzu is a powerful contender for being the best girl of this season.
I also want to point out the emotional aspect of this anime, because it greatly affects the emotions of the audience, just as in the manga. With its dialogue matching with the music's somber tone, it really puts you on a situation that you are witnessing the tragic backstory of Tamahiko, where his family abandoned him, thinking of himself as a useless person. Yuzu on the other hand, is the person who can bring him back to the light.
In our real world, we cannot avoid our own ups and downs. Admit it, everyone has, not just me and you. There are moments that we think that "I am useless, guess I'll die then" because of some tragic and traumatizing moments. At the end, someone is there to save you from darkness. There is always light at the end of the tunnel and someone is there to help and overcome your problems in life. This is present in Taishou Otome, where Yuzu wants Tamahiko to release all the burdens of his life and be happy with her, as they will marry each other in the future (not a spoiler much, but foreshadowing since it is part of the plot). Yuzu is the saving grace from Tamahiko's uselessness. She wants him to be happy and solve the problems together. This is what I like from the manga and anime.
Overall, this show has a special place in my heart. Compare it to Tonikawa Kawaii or not, emotional impact is important and one of the factors of a great anime. With romance at its core, Taishou Otome is one of the hidden gems this year's Fall Season. I hope everyone appreciates this anime.

Star Wars Visions really captivated my inner fandom in me. As a huge fan of both genres and mediums (Star Wars and anime) this is a dream that is being fulfilled by many fans worldwide and it puts the icing on the cake really nicely. Also, top anime studios, like Trigger to Science SARU, captured the artistic vision of what Star Wars should look like according to of course, their vision. The passion and love for their work, as being revealed in the interview video by Lucasfilm, that the team being set up are huge Star Wars fans and being part on their huge anime
...
projects to their respective anime studios.
Star Wars Visions really bring me some nostalgia as it was being presented on some episodes, as it brings back some references, quotes, and even tropes from the original, prequel, and sequel trilogies, in a certain point of view. (Pun intended).
Also, every Star Wars fans must know this to turn off the canon laws of the timeline - everything is meta and fun to watch, because, it's their vision of Star Wars.
Story: 9 - every episode of SW Visions has its unique, yet consistent story line. It shows the focal point of the series itself, producing philosophies, perspectives, and even how the story is being told. Of course, everyone has its own favorite on what episode that they loved the most. I liked the Episode 1, The Duel, Episode 4, The Village Bride, Episode 5, The Ninth Jedi, Episode 6, T0-B1, and Episode 8, Lop & Och. These episodes that I mentioned really take the story to another level and it gives me the feeling to expand the story more, even its not canon or not official to the timeline.
Also, lightsaber fight scenes will give you a gaping wide jaw, because it is action packed.
Art: 10 - of course, every anime studio bring out their best on their trademark artstyle. What I liked the most is coming from studio Trigger with aesthetics, especially on Episode 3, The Twins. It really captivated me to see such beauty and it gives me the nostalgia from its popular series like Gurren Lagann and Promare. Also, the samurai-inspired art in Episode 1, The Duel, is a "chef's kiss" art - every detail though grey, black and white color scheme, it's fantastic to see. And you can even see the detail and easter eggs - to all episodes as well in accordance to their unique art style.
Sound: 8 - nothing to much to be discussed here. Everything is on harmony and on good flow.
Character: 10 - you've had a wide variety of characters that you will love. They will always give you the mind blowing chills and even shiver down to your spine. Of course, if you watch it, you have a loveable character into your hands, and everyone has one. I mean, yes, everyone has one.
The characters on every episode gives you something to ponder on - by understanding their philosophy, purpose, emotions, and other things, you can adapt to their mindset or even relate to them, as it will show you the light and the dark side of things.
Enjoyment: 9 - it is true that this show is not everyone's cup of tea - either by the episodes or the whole show itself. But from what I see, this show really enjoyed my inner fandom of the two big and influential shows in today's generation. For many years, I loved Star Wars in my whole life, and it become the part of my life. I mean, I even watched crossovers of Star Wars, like the Phineas and Ferb crossover, and it turned great. For here, in the anime, it's also great, as two of my favorite things being combined.
But also, to be fair, not all of the episodes of SW: Visions really liked it, in accordance of my expectations. Some of it went my mind boggling, despite I put myself into a position where I disregard canon laws of the Star Wars timeline. But, overall, I enjoyed it.
Overall: 9 - if you're a Star Wars fan but not watching anime, this could be a start for you, as every anime studio being presented there, they have a reputable, popular, and favorite respective shows coming from them. This is a stepping stone to see Japanese culture, tradition, ideology, philosophy, art, literature, beliefs, and many more, because they put it right here: as a promotion to their country and see their perspective among things.
If you're an anime fan but plans to watch Star Wars, this show right here is your beginning or the introduction to the Star Wars Universe, as you will see of why fans adored Star Wars for many years - included your parents, grandparents, other relatives, and even your friends. Also, the Star Wars lore is very great to expand and learn on, as you will see of why the Jedi hate the Sith, what is the Galactic Empire, what is the concept of light side and the dark side, and many more from it. This is really a win-win situation for the fans of either side of the coin.
But hey, this comes from my passion, dedication, and adoration from both sides - anime and Star Wars. And I thank for every studio who participated, created, and visualized their vision for Star Wars. This is a huge milestone to all.

Tonikawa Kawaii SNS (enlisted as Episode 13, also known as the OVA) is the latest stand-alone episode since the series being finished last year. It has its own moments, including the hot, steamy, and lewd moments you've hardly waited for many months, and retained its classic huge dose of diabetic sweetness to everyone who watches it.
What can I say about this OVA? TOTAL ENJOYMENT AND SWEETNESS. I missed this show for almost a year and I'm happy that this OVA brought up to the latest lineup. The Nasa x Tsukasa power couple is back again and their relationship being shown at the OVA rose
...
to the next level - hot, steamy, and lewd scenes that make you ingest a diabetic overdose.
STORY - 10/10 - The story's elements still retained, including its story writing, plot, tropes, and its dialogue.
ART - 10/10 - They still retained the bubbly yet lively art form and from the storyboard perspective, adapted the scenes of the manga panels very well.
SOUND - 10/10 - Still used the old OP and ED as expected, nothing much to talk about.
CHARACTER - 10/10 - The side characters are back at it again to continue their usual doing: eavesdrop and/or hear some juicy details about Nasa and Tsukasa's relationship. What can I say about the characters? It is already being answered: Tsukasa shown her aggressive, yet clingy side to Nasa, while Nasa is the one who quenches the thirst of Tsukasa's attention - next level relationship and really an overdose of sugar.
ENJOYMENT - 10/10 - I really waited for this for many months now and still enjoyed it!
OVERALL - 10/10 - This is to be expected from me since I watched the main series (highly recommend if you want to watch this OVA/SNS). I have no words to describe and my jaw gaped wide because of their high-tide moments.
Should everybody watched it? Definitely. You can learn at least the dynamics of a relationship and also how to treat the one you love with tender, care, and sweetness combined. A great show for all people - including the people who are single - to watch it with enjoyment and happiness.

Josee, The Tiger, and The Fish is one of the drama/romance movies that really captivated me from the most. I'm really surprised on how stunning, mesmerizing, and eye candy for its visuals - art and animation. Characters are great, the soundtrack is really on touch, and the story has a lot to offer you to digest it.
In my review of this movie, I really enjoyed on the message of the story, where determination, grit, and courage will take you to step onto an another level. It really changes my perspective on the romance genre of anime in general. A love story between a young woman
...
who has a physical condition and a young man who has a huge heart and determination to pursue his dream. I'm getting used to such tropes in movies/series such as in school setting, male MC/female MC is heartbroken, and other usual tropes you know. Well this one, really changes my perspective. I have never seen in my life that this story and the plot of the movie that really can change my perspective [aside from Kimi no Nawa, Hotarubi no Mori e, and others].
If I'm gonna compare this to the original movie back in 2003, well, the answer is obvious that it will be different. I watched the 2003 live action version of it, and it is dramatic as well. Sad to say, more and huge spoiler if I decided to continue it furthermore.
This movie is perfect for you if you really like a movie that will captivate your eyes and ears when you watch it. It will write your own narrative on how the movie tells the message to yourself.

Among all romcoms I've ever seen, Horimiya caught my attention. The manga version of it is a spot-on, and I really liked it. Meanwhile, the anime series version of it catched my attention. My expectations for this anime, up to this point, is still high. No doubt about it. On the other side of it, there are some things that really need tweaking or to fix. I mean, I love the show overall, but there some details that needs to be improved.
Art - 10/10
*CloverWorks really did a great job putting the character design and everything, just like in the manga version. No doubt. It is
...
beautiful and clean.
Character - 9/10
*I think the characters itself matches in the manga version. From what the manga is depicting, it is still the same in the anime version. Easy to memorize and understand, and easy to catch-up on. Up to this point, no further explanation for now. As long as they follow the manga, I'm okay with it.
Story - 8/10
*The story is above average good. It may not be on-par with other shows, but at least the story itself sets the tone of what's going to happen. The elements of it is just as generic from other romcom's, but the sweetness, the aura itself overpowers it. I like how they use contextual shots just to make a smooth transition, but for now, this is the problem I've noticed. The transition of the story.
Sound - 8/10
*It may lack OSTs for this show, but I give love for the OP and ED.
Overall - 9/10
*So far, still hyped for the new episodes of this show. It may be predictable because I've seen the manga version. I'm watching this because on how they will animate a scene based on the chapter.
Personally, Horimiya is one of the mangas I read that it should get an anime adaptation. Now, my wish had finally granted. The series itself is still a talk of the town, among all other romcoms. This has a special place to my heart.
Should I recommend it? Definitely. A popular romcom with a slice of life feeling will make your heart go into sweetness overboard.
