Both series revolves around a vampire who wields immense strength. The vampires are females who coincidentally falls in love with the male protagonists that are regular humans. Later on as the story progresses they desire to become stronger to be able to protect the one they love, which in this case is Moka and Saitohimea. With split personalities who shun them away and unbelievable enemies to fight the male leads Tsukune and Taito struggle to truly be by their side as a lover that can also protect them.

Both series take place at a club in school that no one hardly joins. In fact, both clubs are known for the weird antics they do and because of that most students tend to stay away from it. These clubs are named the Neighbor's club and the Gj-Bu club both, in which have one male lead surrounded by females with distinct personalities. It's a harem with hilarious members to past the time in the club.

Both series are about kunoichi's aiming to be the best they can be. Despite the titles of the two series, all you will get throughout the majority of both animes are comedy and fanservice with little to no action slashing scenes.

Both series take place in a futuristic setting. Extraterrestrial beings exist and threaten daily life for the citizens on Earth. To combat these monsters genetically altered vixens, which in this case are Pandora (Freezing), Norma (Cross Ange), must enlist in the armed forces and fight. Death and destruction are routine for these soldiers who can't turn back to their old care-free life. The females leads, Satellizer and Angelise  are royalty with a horrific background. The pain caused from their past makes them shun others who try to be their friends. To make things worse, they are full of themselves, which causes jealousy among the other cadets in the academy, especially since they are naturally gifted in combat.

Both animes are set in medieval Japan. The main difference from the two is that Inuyasha deals with warding off demons while searching for the Shikon Jewel while Lords Marksman & Vanadis deals with conquering and strethening your empire. What you will see in common is that the roles that the main characters Kagome/Inuyasha and Elenora/Tigre are swapped. Kagome wields a bow with superior accuracy who at first dosent want to leave her world for a dog demon named Inuyasha. Tigre on the other hand also shares this role as being a master bowman who hates the thought of leaving his country to side with a war maiden named Elenora. Inuyasha and Elenora both possess a sword from an otherworldly entity that can slice anything in its path. They both can even summon wind at will decimating their opponents. A bit of romance between the male and female protagonist is clearly evident in both animes.
