This anime is at the top of my list having just seen it. It blew me away, the concept of a purgatory like place where one has to escape from or become absorbed by is not a new one but this anime made it feel unique.



Characters

I don't think there is a character within the story I do not like. Otonashi is quite a clique protagonist but he is still a likeable enough character, through this animation and voice acting this character really comes alive. Yuri well if I must draw a comparison between Yuri and someone it would be Haruhi Suzumiya (Just my opinion). ... that is who Yuri really reminded me of.

Story

It was not a typical storyline that is for sure but the mix of comedy, action, drama and tragedy. This anime will have you rolling about in laughter, on the edge of your seat from anticipation and in tears by the end. I will not give away any og the story as I feel it is one that you should see for yourself.



Sound

The music in this anime will be what touches you the most or if was in my case, whether you can understand Japanese or not the feelings of the song come across in the music along, and that is not just for one piece but the entire score. I cannot stress just how good the score is.



Summary

It is up to you whether you watch this anime or not, I will recommend this to anyone as it is fantastic. There is nothing else I can say. But even if it doesn't sound like an anime you would like please check it out anyway because that is how I felt when I first read the synopsis, but I did watch it and I loved it.
