Where do I even start with this show. You will look and see the insanely high rating and think this is worth your time. You will watch the first 5 or so episodes and say "I see why it's rated so high", then you will wake up and realize you invested in a nightmare much like the MC.

This show in my opinion garners these high ratings because it attracts all the unsavory, socially frowned upon sterotypical anime fans. The show has been reduced to waifu wars and whose the best girl. When on going discussions like this are had you can tell you ... are not dealing with the most reasonable fanbase. The show is one big love story with one of the most cringe worthy and annoying main characters in existence. The main character never really changes either , so strap in for 25 episodes.

The story is not even a good one. The premise is quite interesting in the beginning tho. MC basically can come back to life after death in a groundhogs day deja vu sense. He retains all his memories and tries to solve who killed him or how to survive the day. The show quickly breaks away from this focus and branches off into more of a fantasy world with magic demon dogs, talking cats, elfen lied powered cult leaders, etc. The problem is the show kind of just switches to something else and not what you expect it to be early on. Show appears more gritty and dark, hopeless and then gets relatively light later on. It still manages deaths and etc but it focuses on power of romance and friendship without resolving mysteries of the world.

If an anime finishes at 25 episodes but there is more source material to explain and answer questions, I still rate strictly on the 25 episodes. I doubt other fans do this and figure in part of the story or details that haven't been animated. That being said Re:Zero in it's 25 episodes fails to even explain how the MC came to be in this fantasy world or provide hints. It also fails to explain much about his death restart ability, or much about the various magic,creatures, and such in this world.

The show is a let down and based on the beginning and not deserving of such high ranking. It's overhyped and overrated and that's the shortest way to sum it up.

This movie can only survive off of DBZ nostalgia. If you spend time analyzing this movie you will scream to yourself WTF ?. Nothing makes sense in this movie and the plot is just a cheap attempt at capitalizing on a known villain. A new unexplained transformation used as a cash cow to piece together a quick to grasp story.

The visuals and sound are top notch, but the fights are lacking even for DBZ standards. The visuals actually take a slight hit due to the interjection of computer graphics at random parts of fights (Which noone ever likes).

Chances are you will enjoy this movie ... for what it is, but that's with your rose colored glasses. I can't get into the issues with the movie without spoiling it, just know very little is going to be cohesive and non of it will add any value to the universe.

This show has all the makings of something great but never delivers. You have good quality animation, a group of characters with various skills and personalities that you will surely find your favorite. Action and abilities, and even some twist on historical and mythical figures in place. Even has some fan service and good humor and starts off with a captivating first episode.Yet it all feels like a whole bunch on stuff thrown together with no clear direction.

The universe isn't explained well enough or provides clarity. You have giants, humans, demons, fairies, immortals, holy knights, talking pigs etc etc. It's as if any creature ... they wanted to exists in this realm does. This would be ok if the story did better with making everything mesh. It just feels as if things don't make sense, we have multiple main characters whose appearances change drastically with little explanation.

The fighting also leaves a lot to be desired. Fights are quick and are more a display of skill than an actual engaging back and forth. Skills can also seem quite random. The overall lack of consistency can make it difficult to let the anime capture you. The show isn't bad it's just missing a polish to make it a great show, you may watch it and love it , but chances are you will watch keep asking yourself should you continue or should you drop it.

I find this anime being rated so highly quite bizarre in itself. It lacks in major areas I feel people require universally in any show you watch.

JOJO is an interesting show that has its highs and lows. Immediately you will realize the art and vizuals. The men are very masculine with alot of bulk and there is a variety of colors and quality animations to match. The show offers refreshing change of visuals than what you are used to with anime.

JOJO suffers in weak story and character development. Partly due to the fast pace of the show it moves and provides something going on every ... episode, there is no filler or wasted episodes. This also hinders the show as every episode is the same with a rinse and repeat forumla. The crew goes to new city/area and meet a new bad guy and they fight, bad guy loses and repeat. As a result you don't have much to look forward to in the long run. At best you ahve two part episodes that provide more depth and intrigue.

Alot of things do not get explained in the show or are provided adequate background details to any lore of the anime. People have these mysterious stand powers with no real reason. The show carries the name of the first series JoJo Bizarre adventure but they really are two completely different shows with only a couple of characters that appear in both making them related in any way.

So this leaves you with an action heavy, plot and character lacking show. Granted the show has bizarre in its name the action provides often loopholes, inconsitencies, and unrealistic tactics. The pace moves so fast you won't have time to dwell on it either. Typical shounen relies on the "your tactic didnt work because I planned ahead with ym tactic". But JOJO takes this to an extreme with anticipated calculated moves that seem to flirt with deus ex machina rather than good writing or battle development.

All in all if you want something more mindless with a twist of humor and fast pace this is the show for you. Despite it's flaws it still is an entertaining show, just know it is labeled bizaree for a reason which says alot when it needs such a moniker in the anime world.
