Wow talk about finding a hidden gem this is really one of those Animes that you watch on a gamble or maybe you saw some good reviews but can't seem to find a lot about it through word of mouth from friends because chances are it's probably overwhelmed by all the other great shows out there or maybe just the synopsis alone is so unique that it's hard to determine whether it's worth a shot or not...
But honestly this is one anime that will really stick with you... Not through "shock and awe" or cliche anime/story tropes we've seen countless times may they be good

I really want to love this anime and at the same time I really do love this anime...
Honestly has one of the best character development I've ever seen for EVERY character (supporting and main) you really do care for every character and feel the weight of all of their fates. The biggest downfall of this series in my opinion is really just one thing... the main characters are always crying, the self pity, the fallacies, the "I will do this, I have to do this" then when the time comes "I CAN'T DO IT" seriously happens from episode 1 all the way to episode 50... The ...

A little tricky to review this movie despite all its amazing reviews...
But I'll to keep it short and simple... The characters are all amazing! You just wish you could only see MORE OF THEM in action! Truly my only gripe with this movie... Especially the "elite" or "immune to pain due to drug enhancement" Chinese warriors.. You don't get much development from each of them and really only have 1-2 lines through the whole movie... Even the main samurai character his only true battle is in the final scene with only TWO of the 5 Chinese elites... Everyone else just dies so fast! Such a shame ...

Seriously a love/hate relationship with this anime...
Not sure if I'm feeling frustrated or upset but I guess to sum it up... This anime does if not a GREAT but OUTSTANDING job with creating extremely fascinating characters even with whatever little backstory they have Chiquita, Karen, Sofia, The Witch, Orchestra, just to name a mere few favorites every character was so unique and a blast every time they were on screen! My only gripe is ::may or not be a spoiler:: that either characters die TOO FAST or some don't even get into many fights at all... or just a lot of characters DON'T DIE so unfortunately you ...

Spent the whole week finishing the Kara no Kyoukai series 1-7+Mirai Fukuin+Extra chorus
And honestly this movie stood out the most just in every way! It really just test your ability to follow along with a story and the amount intelligence thrown at you that you can handle. The twist and turns and pay off in the end is well worth the watch whether you're a fan of the series or not this is one not to miss! Long story short... I would compare this movie to something like "Death Note" not to much hack and slash action but the smartness of the movie and ...

Holy smokes! Probably one of the best production values I've seen from an anime movie from art, sound, music, and just the way everything was filmed!
Just a little upset though that with so much potential for a great action packed and greatly styled set pieces this movie had going for it... it's mostly about 80% feelings for the heart and about 10% action (oh my goodness that opening scene was mind blowing! Seriously an adrenaline rush) then unfortunately the rest is a cliche'd but still a heart warming story. Such an improvement though from the Blue Exorcist series though WOW. Would watch again only ... |
