For a score of 6.96 as of the time of writing this, which is lower than the usual pretty cure MAL score, this series doesn’t deserve the hate that it gets. Of course, everyone has different preferences, but this anime needs a higher rating. I will explain what I thought this precure entry did well, and what it didn’t do so well.
The story is similar to all of the other entries: a magical land gets attacked and three to four precures have to protect their world and the magical land, so I can’t really say much about the premise of this show. The spacing in
...
between the cure debuts helped developed the friendships between each of the current cures, with the friendships between Yui (Cure Precious) and Kokone (Cure Spicy) getting more depth, and allowing Kokone to develop her social skills with the main cast. It also helped with Rosemary’s friendship with Yui.
While we are on development, I would like to note that while the show does develop relationships better, it has a flaw: It doesn’t have consistent character development. There is a big gap in the amount of development that Yui gets compared to Kokone and Ran (Cure yum yum), as well as the mid season cure, Amane (Cure Finale). Kokone gets the most amount of development because she is the only cure except Amane that gets a character flaw. Yui, our main leader, doesn’t get much character development because she isn’t given any flaws. She is portrayed as the usual genki girl protagonist, and pretty much only talks about how food brings smiles and quotes her grandma gave her.
As a matter of fact, her only development is the death of her grandmother when she was young. Ran gets some development as she learns to accept her uniqueness. Amane does get some too when it shows her transformation from a villain to a cure. But she is overall a flat character.
The art style of the anime is well done, and the way the eyes and hair shading were done was very different from most pretty cure seasons. This anime has one of the prettiest art styles. Character designs for both the civilian forms and cure forms were another strong point, but Amane/Cure Finale’s design was confusing. Colors were all over the place for her precure form and it was hard to identify her theme color, which turned out to be gold instead of purple.
The villains of the show were likeable, especially Narcistoru. The revealing of who was Godatz was unexpected and they could have introduced Godatz’s real form earlier.
The romance that Takumi had for Yui was very underutilized, and a waste of potential. There was a lot they could have done with the development of their friendship to potential lovers. I was disappointed that Takumi had never confessed. The entire idea of the romance was there to be there, and I wish they could have done more with it.
The food theme was utilized and it was great that the anime had shown how food brings smiles.
Overall, this show is a good entry to the precure franchise.

Need a cure for insomnia? Have you been unable to sleep? That's okay, I have an anime recommendation for you to put you to sleep: Otonari no Tenshi-sama ni Itsunomanika Dame Ningen ni Sareteita Ken (or for short, The Angel Next Door Spoils Me Rotten). I promise you you will either fall asleep and keep forcing yourself to watch this boring shit, that or scrolling on your phone. I did both of these and has to keep checking the time to make sure I would at least have 6 minutes left, only to be disappointed to be only 14 minutes in. That's how boring this
...
anime is.
STORY:
B o r i n g
Despite what the genres said, which was Comedy/Romance last time I checked this page, there was no comedy to be found. Oh wait! Hold on a minute! For all of the mega fans saying there was one funny moment in episode 4, you're correct, but this was the only one to be found as of 5 episodes in. You can't just put one funny moment in an anime and call it a comedy anime. A comedy anime has funny moments throughout the anime. Why am I so disappointed there's no comedy? Because I came for comedy and romance, not just bland and boring romance about some guy who got the luck of the draw and just so happened to be living right next to the school's "angel" and being taken care of all the time.
ART:
I will admit the art is great, but it is initially hard to get used to as it looks like a painting sometimes. But overall great job.
SOUND:
The opening song was kind of catchy, but something was a little off at some parts to be honest. 7/10.
The ending song was calming and relaxing, which fits the theme of the anime. Well, what was supposed to be calming was actually boring. 9/10.
The eating sounds from Amane was super annoying
CHARACTERS:
Bland. Generic.
Amane is basically any other protagonist, except he doesn't sit in the very back of the classroom mumbling about how life would be better if 9/10 of the population was wiped out. I'll give him points for that.
Mashiro is actually kind of a good character. The good thing is she isn't used for fanservice every 5 minutes.
OVERALL:
This anime is very boring. No comedy like it said it would be. Bland characters. Boring story.

Renai Boukun (or Love Tyrant) was a really interesting anime. Consider it like a wild ride. It will go from one place to another in a matter of minutes. I overall had mixed feelings about Love Tyrant, so I am giving this a 7, as I felt a 6 would be too harsh.
.
STORY: 6/10
From the story aspect itself, I wasn't too fond of this. Just in the first episode, my head was so filled up with what was going in in a few minutes that I couldn't even pay attention. We are introduced to so many characters and other things at once you can't
...
even tell what is going on. But other episodes, the plot is slower. The plot speed varies from episode to episode and it can be problematic to have to pay attention to this. I feel like in some episodes it tries to shove everything down the viewer's throats that I feel bored. But this only happened occasionally.
ART: 8/10
Rarely can anime mess up on art. And Love Tyrant wasn't an example of anime that messed up on its art. But I wasn't sure about the outlining of the drawings, as they aren't the usual black. They are a grey-ish color that I just had to get used to. The art was overall very consistent, but sometimes the eyes can be painfully small and the color contrasts can be weird. One example was Yuzu's hair color with her eye color. I found this combination way too vivid for me but it was fine.
CHARACTERS: 5/10
This has to be the only problematic aspect of the show. Akane Hiyama was my favorite, so I will exclude her from this.
Seiji Aino is your usual harem protagonist, and he was even called this in the show itself! The only exception is he has blue hair. Wow! So creative! Instead of giving him good traits, EMT Squared decides to let him get trampled on by all the girls and he won't react to this at all.
Yuzu Kichougasaki was a character I thought I'd like. But little did I know she was just another bitchy tsundere. She always complains so much and causes tension between the characters. Also her voice is annoying to hear and for a high/middle schooler, it sounds childish. Keep in mind I watched the dub.
Akua Aino was really annoying. The thing is, her personality never develops. She is in a constant state of hatred for her brother Seiji and never even shows a bit of gratitude. She always assumes her brother is just screwing his "harem".
And lastly, our main girl Guri. No matter how nice Seiji is to her, she always finds problems. I finally found the issue with most of these characters; they manage to make an issue out of everything. She is always causing issues. I have only liked her as a character for a few episodes.
All of the girls in the show beat the poor man for no reason, even if it's simply because he doesn't follow their orders or refuses to do something insane. I couldn't even stand them.
ENJOYMENT: 7/10
It was okay. I would watch this again but have to forget the awful characters.
OVERALL: It was okay. Just okay.
MY ADVICE: If you don't pay attention to the characters too much, you're all set.

I wasn’t surprised I wouldn’t like this. I was curious to see how good this would be due to the cute art and title, but boy I was wrong.
STORY: 3/10
Basically nonexistent. Random, inconsistent scenarios that never match up with the previous episode, except for a few episodes.
ART: 8/10
The art was the best thing about this show. The designs matched the character personalities and the colors were contrasted just right. But it’s very generic and you see this everywhere. Nevertheless still good
CHARACTERS: 6/10
You don’t see these characters develop and we only get a few shorts with them. And they are all played out cliche tropes
...
ENJOYMENT: 3/10
This anime was very boring. While watching this I found something else to distract myself with as I just couldn’t keep my eyes on the screen. So lame
OVERALL: 4/10
This show is not worth your time
MY ADVICE: Not worth it

It’s been a while since I last saw this anime. This show was very nostalgic and I will never forget how good it was. The characters were nicely done and I dont think any character was unlikeable. The designs were very good as well.
Kang-Lim was probably the best character though.
The anime has a perfect mix of funny and sad moments and is definitely worth a watch. Also, the audio was very good and the voice actors did a fantastic job!
The animation was very smooth and simplistic all the way through and I definitely recommend this to anyone who just wants a good supernatural yet
...
funny show. Nice cast of characters, a good storyline, No fanservice, interesting ghosts, and good animation and voice actors.

Absolutely terrible. Not sure how anybody could handle anything above episode 1. I thought this might be actually a good show. But what was I thinking? As soon as the third girl came into play, I realized that all of these girls have absolutely no flaws and are the definition of mary sues, which I hate in anime. They're all annoying and brain dead. Even Sueharu.
Also, it's good to mention that Sueharu is so dramatic it actually got irritating.
STORY:
You aren't missing anything if you choose to skip this show. This is the exact same thing you see about fifty times. Guy gets all the
...
perfect and popular girls and everyone else oos and ahhs at the bland protagonist.
ART:
Alright, this isn't bad. The art was quite pleasing but it can't mask the bad things about this show.
CHARACTERS:
Garbage. Like I said before, Maria, Kachi and Kuroha are all perfect with zero flaws and are mary sues. Sueharu is a dramatic whiny kid who is oblivious to love. It's not very hard to pick one dude
ENJOYMENT:
I would rather watch paint dry than watch this further
OVERALL:
You won't be missing anything if you skip it.
My advice: SKIP THIS ANIME

Urawa no Usagi Chan was an okay anime. I liked how easy it was to finish in less than an hour, and I like animes like that. Pretty doable. However, this show wasn’t the best..
STORY: 3/10
I know. This is a slice of life school anime. However at least do it good, which is what they miraculous managed to fail. Absolutely no context whatsoever in between the events that occur. Everything seemed so random for a show like this.
ART: 8/10
The art style was simple but great! I enjoyed it a lot, and I rate it higher than most aspects of this anime. Their appearances are colorful
...
and cute and you will like it if you’re a fan of bright color hair.
SOUND: 10/10
The only music you will ever hear in this anime, will be the ED, which is quite short as this show only has 3 minutes per episode. It’s a relaxing song, and simple visuals.
CHARACTERS: 7/10
The characters are okay. Some were really forgettable and I can’t even remember half of the names.
ENJOYMENT: 6/10
I’d much rather watch some other anime, but this wasn’t too bad. If you’re looking for a short, relaxing show then you should watch this. It will only take you about half an hour. Just be wary that the episode plots are clearly rushed

Oh god. What even is this? I didn’t exactly have high expectations in the first place, but they just became nonexistent the first five minutes of this garbage. I wanted to make a review, so I had to suffer through all 12 episodes and pray this would stop. I cannot wait to return to the actual anime world and not this.
STORY: The story is quite unpredictable but I didn’t like it. The ending was confusing.
ART: Look up one image of this show if you already haven’t, and you will be absolutely mortified.
SOUND: I would say it’s the show’s only strong point since I did
...
enjoy the ED but that’s it.
CHARACTER: The characters except the pink girl was not well developed.
ENJOYMENT: Cannot believe I actually forced myself to sit through eight minutes of pain 12 times. The jokes and puns sucked and didn’t laugh once.
PLEASE SKIP THIS ANIME EVEN IF YOU ARE CURIOUS. IT IS PURE TRASH. WATCH AN ACTUAL ANIME

NOTE: I HAVE ONLY WATCHED THE DUB, SINCE I AM NOT YET FINISHED WITH THE ORIGINAL VERSION. KEEP IN MIND.
I always remembered this anime to be the very anime to introduce me to Pretty Cure Franchise, and didn't quite know what pretty cure was until I looked "glitter force". I would remember my confusion on my face when I found that out lol. To be honest, while there were some downsides I would like to explain, overall it was pretty enjoyable for me especially when I was younger and never felt at home with dubs, and I still don't exactly prefer subs over dubs. Both
...
are equally good. However, I will only do the dub as I said at the beginning. So let's start;
STORY:
The story is very good in my honest opinion. The nice thing about this season that set itself apart from the others was the fact that no mid-season cures were introduced, which kept it simple to avoid distractions. I feel like it was just right. Most mid-season cures I hate so I am happy.
ART:
The art for this season was incredible. It felt like a traditional but modern feel at the same time. The amount of detail I could see in every frame was impressive. The eyes looked so lively and detailed, and the colors were bright and happy, just like the season's motifs.
One thing I did enjoy was the CGI. Don't even get me started on that. The CG is done so perfectly, the movements were smooth, and the faces actually looked like they wanted to be there dancing on the flowers (Ending Two had the flowers)
SOUND:
This is probably the thing I could say was not the best. I did not exactly enjoy some parts of the first ending, but why would it matter at this point? The second ending was outstanding.
The character insert songs were happy.
CHARACTER:
To me, the characters felt a little cliche. I mean, we got the usual Genki Girl, Athletic Kid, Shy and Artistic, A Walmart Copy of Athletic Kid (You'll get what I mean here, sorry Nao/April fans..), and the Smart Member of the team. Pretty stereotypical if you ask me. The characters felt so unrealistically perfect, except for a few characters, that actually had growth.
ENJOYMENT:
I enjoyed this anime a lot! I rated this an 8/10 for a reason XD
EXTRA REVIEW:
So because this is a dub, I would like to mention things like voice acting, the editing and whatnot. Here are some things that really annoyed me throughout;
-THE DARKENING: If it has to be one thing (which there isn't), it's the screen darkening. Screen darkening will basically dim the screen excessively on any scenes in which there are quick movement, or actual bright colors. Saban claims to do this to prevent seizures, and while I understand, why this low? Not to mention how no Japanese viewers were harmed in any way. Especially since Japan knows better ever since the Porygon Pokemon incident in which many kids went to the hospital due to epileptic seizures from a certain scene in Pokemon. You will not be able to enjoy the transformation scenes at all, so I would watch YouTube videos of them instead if you can only access the dub version.
-THE WHITEWASHING: This is a pretty big pet-peeve of mine. I understand young viewers will not understand how to pronounce the character's names, and that is alright. It does not mean Saban has to change the names of everything and completely wash away the Japanese cultural references, such as food names and the names of events. In fact, one episode about the Summer Festival was cut out because it featured Japanese culture, which I think is very disrespectful. Does foreign culture scare Saban? Younger viewers would not care, and in fact, would love to be introduced to foreign things they are not used to. It helps teach them about the world.
-NO EMOTIONAL SCENES: Come on Saban. At least include the crying scene from the final battle. And while I did enjoy the happiness of this anime, I would have liked to see growth from characters. It does not make sense how nobody would even tear up after finding out their world might just be destroyed.
Now, while there were three downsides, I would like to list the major up-side of the dub that not everyone would find interesting.
The custom endings were pretty cool in my opinion. Although the CGI was bad and at times glitchy, I loved most of the songs sub viewers would miss out on, especially Believe In You. I remember always listening to that song on repeat and nothing else.
OVERALL:
You will enjoy this anime if you ignore the major pet-peeves I did not like. But if you are someone who was unaware of the fact this was a dub, you will like it more. I feel such nostalgia every episode, so I want it to stay on Netflix. The sense of enjoyment I got despite these just made me happier. It's very cheerful sub or dub.

This is my first review, so it may look a little sloppy, but I will try my best to format it to make it cohesive and clear as possible. I was recommended this anime by a fellow stranger on the internet and was drawn into its art style and cheerfulness that the show appeared to have. And I was honestly very surprised to see how good this show really is so far!
STORY:
The story is great. It's easy to understand, and I like how light-hearted it can be at times. The way the idols were introduced were definitely not slow-paced (ones that take an entire
...
episode on the buildup), and in my opinion, it was perfect just for me, although I am aware this is not everyone's cup of tea.
ART:
The art is one of the only things that bought me to watch this, and it was impressive. If you do not like any other aspects, you will likely find the art style and consistency to appeal to you, but everyone has a different taste in art. and that is perfectly fine. However, I enjoyed the consistency of the animation, and how Myamu's over-designed dress never had a single animation error, or at least I did not notice one. One thing I did like was how before the performances for the daily song, the characters would be in 2D backstage, and the characters still did not look messy even with the complicated dress designs!
The 3D CGI was not bad as well compared to other idol anime CG. I mean, if you take a look at Aikatsu, you will see the difference. But personally, I preferred 2D over 3D.
SOUND:
This was one of the only animes in which I never hated a single song. The Opening was very good, as well as the ending. I could not stop listening to the ED as soon as I finished Episode one, and in fact, I just listened to it again and again a few hours ago.
The songs by the idols were incredible. The only complaint that I have is the repetition of the songs, and how Matsuri's main song was used every time she appeared, with only a different outfit to attempt to compensate, but it did not change a thing. Though I am only 10 episodes through, I hope they are not that lazy.
CHARACTER:
I loved the characters. I would say Matsuri had a good amoutn of development (you get to see her family), and Myamu had good development with her grandfather (no spoilers). Although, so far, I have not seen any development with the rest of the characters, such as their families and home lives..
ENJOYMENT:
Overall, I enjoyed this anime very much. I am honestly surprised at the 6/10 rating this show got, but maybe it is because I have a bad taste in anime. The only complaint I can agree with is the repetition. I guarantee you I will be seeing a lot more of that.
