Both adventure shows about a small group of characters and bounty hunters chasing after bounties. Sam, like Spike is looking for a lost loved one. Philly is reminiscent of Spike with the afro and his cynical, snarky personality. Casey is reminiscent of Ed's childlike, positive personality even though they live in a cruel world.

They have a tsundere main character and a love interest to them. Though, everything that Evangelion did right, Nadia pretty much did wrong. Though, the two are quite dissimiliar as Nadia has a more Miyazaki feel to it.

Both protagonists that sound quite different are laid-back, bounty-hunters, walk around with their hands in their pockets, and the directing and screenplay are by the same guy. I prefer Cowboy Bebop though. Both take place in space. Spike and Space Dandy also kind of look alike.
