I don't have the strength to write everything that's wrong with this anime. All I have the ability to say is unless you REALLY love your brother (or want to be REALLY loved by a dozen stereotypical sisters), you will most likely hate this show. My debate to watch the show was piqued further when I found people saying the show was INCREDIBLE AND MUST BE WATCHED (I've dubbed this process Bokufication) or there were questions with no responses as to how they felt or even from others who watched it. After a joke about whether this show would be a hidden gem or make ... me vomit a kidney, I dove in. the words onii-chan (and 11 various ways of saying onii-chan) were probably used about 150 times per episode from episode 2 on. After a kidney AND liver transplant from a local hospital, I decided to ward off the intense pain and suffering this show caused me. It's 26 episodes of plotless hum drum and the MC complaining.

Don't watch it. Never watch this show. It's worst than the last two episodes of evangelion when they ran out of budget. 24 extra episodes worse.

If the Twilight movies were a cartoon that was orchestrated properly to form a coherent plot aside from the love triangle, it would be called vampire knight. Rather than being a dig at this anime, I say this as a positive. The other side of the coin is that, while better than the twilight movies, I've seen more intelligent conversation in OHSHC (host club for non otaku).

Story: 4
A solid 4. A VERY solid 4. The show is entertaining to watch at a base level. That being said, if you like surprises, look slightly further. Maybe a little more to the left? I could accurately describe ... in detail to my friend how the season would end from the first three episodes or so alone. I don't recommend this show as a "I'm going to sit down and watch this!" show. Leave it running in the dubbed (cringe if you will but the dub was very well done for this show) while you write a paper or something. Odds are you won't miss anything.

I am probably being overly generous here by a full point or more. I personally liked the art style because it suited the genre. Those of you able to find symbolism in little ways will pick up on strange character effects that give a somewhat deeper insight into who they are. The biggest reason i give this a 7 is that IT EXISTS IN THE WONDERFUL REALM OF 1080p! Who doesn't love high resolution vampires? Most of you? got it

Sound: 10
If you don't watch the show (I gained nothing from either season) then at least do one thing for me. LISTEN TO THE OPENING AND CLOSING SONG OF THE FIRST AND SECOND SEASON! I'M BEGGING! The intro manages to be a spectacular display of the characters without revealing any key plot points or over insights into future plotlines. The music is so perfectly and flawlessly orchestrated that I had to rewind at times just to experience the sound again. The glorious and beautiful music. Oh. And the actor's voices were... adequate? The voice actors could have been better cast. Easily. But I found it worth it for the MUSIC! The music is actually the sole reason I'm writing this recommendation.

Characters: 4
In a word? Bland. Nothing new or insightful was born from these characters, and the relationships between different individuals were dully executed from the get go. Nothing new, nothing creative, and no reason I should use more than 4 lines to describe characters I cant even name now.

Enjoyment: 7/3
It's a good show to have in the background while you do other things because it keeps your interest enough to make you listen without forcing you to focus on the show solely. If you're going to do the usual anime thing and only sit and watch it, I'd have to rate this show a blatant 3. It's boring and shallow. Nothing of note aside from the love triangle (I do like the triangle though).

Honestly not worth watching the show to watch the show. I can't think of anything that would make me recommend this show other than the music unless you liked Twilight. If you DID like Twilight, however, this show does the forbidden love triangle and vampires in general SO much better than the movies did.

Firstly, watch the show.

Second, I don't write reviews. I looked at the review screen once, thought better, then went to watch anime like the rest of us. I've seen hundreds of shows without exaggerating. I can confidently say that this show is one of the greatest and most under appreciated shows I've ever had the privilege to watch.

Story: 8

The story is typical. Boy meets girl. Girl tests boy. Boy is a god among men. Girl makes boy her pawn. Boy gets harem. Madness. Oh yeah and the girl is a princess or something and he has to fight in some war or another with ... a mech suit that he pilots better than people who've trained for decades, but that's irrelevant. It's typical, but the anime finds ways to give it fresh spins and keep the show ALIVE and ENTERTAINING.

I'm pairing these together as they both lacked anything special. They weren't bad and the movement of characters as well as the voices and sounds seemed effective. More so when you consider this is an OVA on a low budget. Still, the show made due with what it had. I was satisfied.

Character: 8

OPPAI! Tits, knockers, double DD's, fun-bags, hooters, chest, boobies. Call them what you want but they dominate the characters. It's not as bad as anything with the words high school in the name but its nothing to scoff at. There aren't plot irrelevant boobs, but unlike most show, the smaller your boobs, the more time you get having your story explained. I would have LOVED more in depth information on the characters, especially the MC, but I take what I was fed and I find that I enjoyed each one of the girls in his harem for who they were as well as their over-sized tools of mass seduction. Primarily though, the characters sucked. The greatest pull for me was how they interacted so fluidly despite a lack of backstory, and each of them does fall (broadly) under an archetype that we all know and love (yes you do).

Enjoyment: 10

This show's biggest drawn is the comical aspect. I couldn't stop laughing no matter how many times I watched it. It was funny through and through watching him literally chased with nets (you'll see). It's ludicrous and funny and simply perfect

Watch 2 episodes. For you Otaku out there, I know you have the time. If you don't like it then drop it, but I promise satisfaction from at least that much. Even if you leave, you'll be back.
