While watching this show I couldn't help but be struck by the similarities it shared w/ Ruroken. - Both male protagonists have a dark, bloody past that they keep secret from their newfound families/loved ones. - Both male protags have a light, carefree personality but switch to badass mode whenever there's danger. -Whether it's a sad or happy scene, I couldn't help but feel it how similar both series were in terms of mood no matter the emotional setting. -The romance in both is subtle and moves at a semi realistic pace. -There is a great sense of family/finding a place to belong in both. -Both have great fight scenes, although ruroken's are a little more realistic. -Both are as of now, unfinished, but surprisingly it doesn't effect the enjoyment or satisfaction you feel when you're finished w/ either one.
