...then you might like Code Geass: Hangyaku no Lelouch add

Both fall into the military genre and have a large amount of action and violence. The characters have their own, special abilities which work in similar ways (Edward using alchemy and Lelouch using Geass) and learn from their wrong doings. While they also have their silly moments and awesome characters, both are rather harsh and can be a real tear-jerker.

If you liked Tokyo Mew Mew add

...then you might like Kaichou wa Maid-sama! add

While Maid-Sama doesn't have magical, fighting girls like Tokyo Mew Mew, both of the main characters work at a cafe and have a love interest that gets to them throughout the anime. Both are also rather girly, have some cute characters, and have some comedy.

Both are very kid-friendly shows which take place in different worlds. They both carry about the same amount of mild violence and both feature colorful, talking animals who have human kids by their side.
