Dark, sinister and unpredictable. The darkest route of Fate has delivered us with a stunning sequel to the first movie. As someone who has never read the visual novels, this was a dark, eerie show with it's share of disturbing and just straight out "WTF" moments.
Ufotable once again deliver with godlike animation especially in action scenes. Every frame is animated perfectly and they made the fight scenes so much more memorable with the unique colour palette. The choreography and action direction was of top quality.
Great soundtrack as well, especially the use of an instrumental version of "Hana no Uta" from the first movie.

I'll be fully honest - I was baited into this show from... well, you probably know what.
But this actually was a really enjoyable show - it made me feel like a 5 year old child again, watching cartoons on TV. Giant robot battles, robots combining and transformations, shouting out attack names before performing them - I had such a blast watching this. The action was really entertaining. The CG did seem a little clunky at times but it didn't interfere much with the thrilling action. I also enjoyed the character development of Rikka and Akane. Ultimately if you want a good time watching an action show ... Jan 6, 2019
Ah, Bunny girl Senpai, the show which lured me in thinking it was a show about girls in bunny costumes. While I did get a little bit of that (not as much as I expected), I definitely am not disappointed - this is a standout show. A great watch that was heartwarming, entertaining and relatable at times.
What actually makes this show great is that it is relatable - growing up we've all experienced certain things, the fear of being left out, not being part of the 'cool' people and being mocked; at times feeling we are lesser than others and wishing we could be them. ... Dec 22, 2018

Liz and the Blue Bird (リズと青い鳥) is a side story of Hibike! Euphonium, focusing on the characters Mizore and Nozomi in their third year. While not absolutely necessary, I would highly recommend viewing the first and second seasons of Hibike Euphonium before watching this movie (it's 24 episodes over 2 seasons, but it's worth it, really good anime) as the plot is sort of a continuation of season 2. The art is rather unique, but nevertheless pretty. The colours in the scenes depicting the Liz book were brilliantly done. In terms of character, I do feel that certain characters could have ... First of, full props to the animators and sound designers, the badminton match sequences were some of the most well-animated I have seen in sports anime. The sounds were also great, special mention to the OP and ED which I loved.
That aside, the story did suffer at points, and at times it just got a little bit too over-the-top with the drama, especially for a sports anime. Some of the characters also had flaws, it's just a little rushed to watch a character do so many u-turns in personality over a few episodes. All in all, still a decent watch. I did enjoy myself especially ... |
