Aria, a former high school student, reincarnated as a young lady of an unremarkable noble house. She was roped into attending a marriage interview with Prince Eugene, who's rumored to be an oddball, and it’s during this meeting that he suddenly makes a ridiculous claim — that he was Oda Nobunaga in his past life!!
Well, the story looks like it is going to follow an exciting path. The plot is already revealed right from the start. The art is nice to look at. The MC's couple has some cute moments. I cannot rate it much because the manga is new. There is only 1 chapter
...
released so far.
Overall, the manga has a light tone with a bit of romance and comedy, which is useful if you are looking for something to pass the time or not looking to get into some deep emotional story.

Well the story is It is about Kazuya Kinoshita who is about to enter college only to discover that his girlfriend Mami dumped him after dating him for about a month. Distraught over that, he discovers a rather shady app where he can rent a girlfriend. So, he ends up meeting the seemingly perfect Chizuru Mizuhara. After their first date, Kazuya, despite knowing that this was a job, grows suspicious of Chizuru and gives her a low rating. Which makes her angry.
To make matters worse, Kazuya's grandmother collapses and she has the misfortune of meeting Chizuru, so they have to keep up the facade a
...
little longer.
Characters: Kazuya himself isn't really likable. He's a pushover who everyone throws shade at. Everyone, including his own family. He can't stand up for himself; he's pretty much a loser. I get him wanting to have a real relationship, but as Chizuru pointed out to him, what she did was her job. That outburst in episode 1 was really unnecessary. He's borderline insufferable as a leading character. But a lot of that is intentional, so I can't really completely blame him for that.
Mami, Mami... What can I say about her? Out of all the shows I am watching this year, she is hands down the worst character in the show. On the outside, she looks bubbly and friendly almost like an angel. But on the inside, she is an utterly petty borderline sociopath.
For starters, she finds herself insanely jealous of Kazuya and Chizuru's "relationship" despite the fact that she herself dumped him in the first place under the claim that she met someone else she loved. It's her actions that led to him finding the rental app and yet she wants to destroy the (fake, but she doesn't know) relationship between the two because she cannot stand that Kazuya appeared to move on after her. She is a manipulative, verbally abusive young lady who tears Kazuya down with her words. While the show treats him as a punching bag, nothing about what she says is funny as not even the other characters humor her for it. Worse, she even forces Kazuya to apologize for her when she gets called out for her actions.
The worst part of her plot had to be when she was trying to tempt Kazuya when Chizuru was in a position where she likely would have died had it not have been for Kazuya's quick intervention. This just goes to show how much of a ruthless sociopath she is where she does not give a crap about whether someone lost their life because of her. Unlike with Chizuru where she has her own softer side, Mami doesn't have anything remotely redeeming about her. It's really because of her presence that the show feels especially cruel. She is trash plain and simple IMO.
The friends of Kazuya are mostly one-note except for his childhood friend who does acknowledge that there are some good parts to Kazuya's behavior such as his determination. Kazuya's family...don't like them. His grandmother is adorable , who does a lot for her grandson, and whom her grandson does everything to not disappoint. Speaking a little about Chizuru, she an extremely charismatic girl, with a strong personality, who imposes herself, but who also knows how to be very seductive, sweet and kind. At first she seems simple, but this is to hide that she is actually complex, that it has many layers. In addition, she is a character who can pass various types of emotion intensely. The best girl on that anime!
The novel excites, the anime captivates, and creates the expectation of knowing how it will proceed until the end. And for those who have already gone ahead and read a good part of this manga like me, the drama of the story is strong, addictive. Just a hint guys, read the manga, it is so much better, but the anime is enjoyable as well.
Voice work is also fine as is the animation. It isn't amazing by any means, but it services the show well. Comedy is the best thing on anime because it revolves around the misgivings of the MC.
The colours are nice, bright, and fun. The OP is catchy and has cute little dances. ED is also good.
Overall: I see that some people speak ill of this anime, but they speak with prejudice, pre-formulated concepts about the premise, and especially about the weaknesses of the MC. What I can say is that these people give themselves a chance and try to watch some episodes that have changed their minds. Otherwise, they are losing a great experience, this anime is much more than that, and without these things there would be no problematization to create an extraordinary plot. With a story that has a lot to convey of content and emotion. I personally think that this is one of the most interesting Anime's of 2020! action packed with lots of cute girls to 'simp' for it has a good storyline and there's an unexpected twist every episode also 2nd season has been confirmed! I am very excited, only people who have read the manga know that the 2nd season will be even better.

Love Live! Sunshine!! is a slice of life musical anime, about nine high school girls trying their hand at becoming school idols, competing with many other schools nationwide in Love Live! Inspired by their favorite and first school idol Love Live winners, μ's, they work hard to become this years best school idol group!
Love Live! Sunshine!! While is very similar to it's original Love Live! School Idol Project anime, still manages to be just as entertaining and charming in this spin-off. The nine girls are again, all lovable in their own way, overflowing with charm and quirkiness. The humor here is even more zany and
...
witty, while still allowing each girl to have their own development and desires that set them apart. Myself personally while I love both School Idol Project's μ's group, and Sunshine's Aqours. I love the Aqours here in Sunshine ever so slightly more, but would still highly recommend both respective Love Live anime.
Love Live! Sunshine!! takes place on a remote coast in Japan, where our girls come together from a small town to share their love of school idols together, hoping to be recognized like the more popular groups in more populated areas, and ultimately winning the Love Live competition.
The character cast is rather interesting and by that I mostly mean Saint Snow, Aqours' rival group. Since you could say they are the counterpart to A-RISE in the first season, compared to them, Ria and Seira don't start out as the biggest idol group and are the performers or characters you'd expect them to be if you know what A-RISE is like. Though Aqours faces the same issue as in the first season of the first series, I find them to be quite lovable and special on their own subjectively.
As expected, Sunshine continues to milk out outstanding idol music that's another reason to why I find Aqours to be special on their own. ''Snow Halation'' and ''Start:Dash'' have been quite the songs but I listen to a lot of Guilty Kiss (I have been doing so way before I got into LL actually) and as I go by more episodes, I can see Aqours clawing themselves in my playlist here and there.
I find myself to be comparing the first Love Live! to Sunshine a lot but it's not like the series isn't doing so itself. It isn't disconnecting itself by any means and, as a matter of fact, the series pays homage to μ's often and, to be precise, from the character standpoint, Aqours.
This doesn't exactly appeal to every audience but if you're willing to give Love Live! a try, watch the first series + the movie and come back here. If you want to see more from the series then certainly watch this!

The Love Live movie celebrates what μ’s essentially is, namely the school idol project. The idol group was formed as a way to save the girls’ school, Otonokizaka Academy, from having to close down. While μ’s mainly consists of the nine school idols, other Otonokizaka Academy students - as well as the principal - always offer their support when it comes to organising and promoting performances. However, as the third years graduate, the group comes to realise they cannot continue as school idols anymore and begin to fear that the end of μ’s will mark the end of their friendship.
Over the course of the movie,
...
the members of μ’s mature by accepting the inevitable end of their school idol project and by understanding what it means. The band members realise that their friendship is not bound by idoling and how a shared love of something can bring together different people. This, also understanding that, even when that thing is over, it won’t spell the end for their friendship. Love Live! The School Idol Movie celebrates μ’s and the friendship that binds them.
While the latter half of the movie focuses more on Honoka, the screen-time the μ’s band members receive is very evenly distributed. All members get their chance to shine through songs and character moments, yet the movie still always focuses on them as a group, be it a group of friends or an idol group. Additionally, the movie features three insert songs sung by the third, second and first years, respectively, giving every year the opportunity to stand out. This shared focus on all of μ’s’ members further emphasises the theme of friendship, which ultimately takes centre stage.
The movie consists of two parts: The first part finds μ’s going to New York in an attempt to make school idols more popular worldwide, and the second part deals with μ’s’ last performance as a group. One could even argue that the movie serves as a great introduction to Love Live as it is exactly what fans have come to expect from this slice-of-life idol anime and doesn’t really offer anything new but a shiny exterior. To some viewers, exactly this may pose a problem since they have expected something bigger, especially plot-wise. The plot of the second part as well as the centre issue μ’s has to deal with in particular are rather problematic as they have already been done in the TV series, though in the movie it is elaborated upon. However, Love Live is not beloved for it’s deep and meaningful plot. You watch it for its light-heartedness, its innocence, its catchy J-Pop and most importantly, its loveable characters with their contagious cheerfulness.
Love Live! The School Idol Movie is Still 10/10. Very enjoyable, Had laughs but mostly crying at the end cause they are ending. All the performance is amazing too for me. If you're a fan of the Love Live series, then you should watch this. Actually, if you're a fan of the Love Live series, then I don't know why you haven't watched this already.
However, if you're looking for a film that has a deep storyline, and unique characters, then you're better off looking for another anime movie.

Love Live! School Idol Project is a slice of life musical anime, about nine high school girls joining together in a hit new craze, becoming school idols! Eventually they will compete with many other schools nationwide in Love Live, to see which idol group is the best of them all. It's not all for fun though, for the main goal of competing in Love Live for out girls is to become popular enough to get more registered students for the school or have the school be closed down next year.
Love Live! School Idol Project's nine girls are all lovable in their own way, and of
...
course by the end of your time watching it, you might have a "best girl" of your choice. The girls when on stage are well animated with great songs and dance choreography to really shine on stage. Off the stage each girl continue their days of high school youth, whether it's at practice, home, out for fun, or any other matter of activity.
The girls are overflowing with charm and lovable quirks, with also some witty humor spread out through the whole anime. It is one of the few musical focused pieces of media that I can recommend to people and adore in my own way, the biggest strength of the entire experience of course being the well fleshed out personalities of each girl, with their own struggles they wish to overcome in hopes of achieving their dream. To be not just school idols, but true idols, for the world, friends, family, and each other.
Love Live! School Idol Project takes place within Tokyo, and our nine girls compete against many other schools in the area for the chance to be winners in the Love Live competition. There is however another group of girls out on a remote coast, who will soon gather together to compete in Love Live! 5 years later... Love Live! Sunshine!!
Most of the things the first season has are still here: the fun comedies, the expressive enthusiasm, and the adorable interactions. But to reach a bigger stage than before will require a bigger effort from each member. So this time around, we're given more of their roles as school idols, while also bringing a developmental spotlight to those who didn't get much focus from before. It continues on with unlocking each of the nine member's influence on one another. Whether it's to come up with a new song or to support the ones who want to break out of their shell, they will always be there for each other.
It's this strong focus on µ's as a whole that makes the second half of their journey more emotionally invested, particularly during the latter episodes when everything converges towards a bittersweet reality. Even in the show itself, the collective support from their school, family, and fans is enough to realize just how incredibly special the group is. At this point, they're not just there as a musical entertainment. They go beyond that—into an authentic devotion of hearts shared by everyone.
Rivals such as the sassy A-RISE knows fully well of this special ability of µ's to capture the hearts of all who sees them. It does give the Love Live! contest a bit more of a competitive side, but more importantly, it's proof that µ's has grown so much ever since the beginning. All of their charming qualities, from hard work to dedication, become a tangible routine of colorful dancing and beautiful singing. And with a better CGI animation to go along with a vibrant stage, enjoying the various performances is something that can be described as a natural immersion.
From the uplifting yet melancholic "Snow Halation" to the rosy "Aishiteru Banzai!", Love Live! can definitely pride itself with its lovable music. Many of the songs here are thematically relevant to what this season is trying to express, which is the positive message of hope and love that I'm sure a lot of you have heard already in your life before. But to be reminded of it, especially in an endearing fashion, will always be a plus side to me. As for the general visual, it's the same adorable art that I've grown to love, and I don't think that needs to change.
When I reflect back on my journey with µ's and School Idol Project, I really couldn't have asked for more. The second season, with its authentic emotions and lasting impressions, is enough to solidify the reasons why I'm their fan now and why Love Live! is a dear franchise to many people out there. If you want to be a part of that wonder as well, give µ's a listen.
Many music and memories are awaiting you!

After an untimely death, Satoru Mikami is reincarnated in another world as a slime. (Literally the title of the anime...) He decides to make the most of his new found life, and embarks on a journey that will shake up the world around him.
That Time I got Reincarnated as a Slime is a very boring and dull isekai anime that everyone likes literally just cause the main character is an overpowered slime, and his best trait is that he is really nice… Great… How riveting.
For those that haven't seen it, the short version of my complaints would be a boring nice guy protagonist and a
...
bunch of lacking side characters. For those that have seen it, imagine with me, what this anime would be like if the main character was never a slime to begin with. Then ask yourself “does it still hold up as a good isekai that stands above the many generic ones?” No, it wouldn't, most of the elements it's viewers say they like would instead EASILY be dismissed as just "more isekai garbage" and other comments of that nature.
There’s a reason the best, and arguably the only isekai anime you should watch are Overlord, Re:ZERO, Konosuba, as of 2019, The Rising of the Shield Hero. That same reason is why those four have a crossover anime called isekai Quartet , and that reason is that those four anime have a large cast of great beloved characters, and the lead characters themselves have distinct personalities that the fans have loved to see shift and adapt to the law breaking environments they are placed in for better or worse. Not because their protagonist is simply a "nice guy" with obedient followers that are devoid of any interesting characteristics that end up creating a story that feels disgustingly slow and boring. That's my biggest gripe with this anime, when you don't factor in the characters, everything else is fine from the world building to story and of course it's quality, but my priority in any piece of media is always the characters FIRST. Characters and their journeys are what most of us love to discuss or remember in the first place, and ultimately is what drives sales for the stupidly expensive merchandise we buy and love.
Look, after that rant about it's characters, that's not to say I didn't like anyone. Here's where my review transitions from the negatives to the positives. The later half of the anime introduces characters that gave me the will to keep watching, and ended up helping me get through to the end of the anime. Specifically Gabiru with his lizardmen crew, Demon Lord Millim Nava, and all the isekai children in the last arc. In addition I also mentioned earlier the world building, story, and quality are all fleshed out and pretty solid overall. I should also mention this anime has competent fight scenes involving massive power levels, while I may not like most super flashy anime fights, if that's your jam you'll enjoy it. So all in all, while my personal tastes for characters was not met here, there was enough here in Slime Reincarnation for me to get through to the end. It's not exactly a glowing review, but then again in my opinion it's cause the anime is not worthy of such high praise. It is GOOD, don't mistake that, but I don't believe in the hype the rest of the world had for this anime. If you want a slow burn that becomes a solid experience that is ultimately harmless, go ahead and watch, if you want a great isekai, watch any of the five I mentioned above. I write these reviews hoping to help readers like you enjoy yourself. Even if my opinions get the better of me, I do this as an anime fan, for anime fans. I'm actually kind of looking forward to season 2 coming this year!

In love with his teacher Hina, Natsuo Fujii attends a mixer with friends, there he meets Rui Tachibana. Rui and Natsuo are completely apathetic about the mixer, Rui then requests Natuso to do her a favor, to his surprise, she takes him to her house and they have sex. This was not out of love, but out of the desire for experiencing sex itself. Afterwards the two never contact each other again, and go their separate ways. This is until Natsuo discovers that the woman his single father wishes to marry, is a mother of two girls. Not just any two girls though, his new
...
stepsisters are Rui and his teacher Hina... Yeah, this isn't gonna end well...
I'm not one for watching train wrecks in slow motion, but honestly I got more enjoyment out of Domestic Girlfriend than I ever expected. As my title for this anime states, there are red flags all over the damn place, and "It's cool cause we're not blood related" content that of course was going to happen. Despite that though I think I took it pretty well, that is if you consider a lot of laughter and loudly saying "What the hell?!" to be positive. To get a little serious though this anime actually has a bit more depth than, well I don't think anyone expected this basically adult film premise to have depth to begin with. BUT BESIDE THE POINT! There is depth to this anime, love can be an unfair feeling sometimes, and while unrequited love extreme as this can be off putting, well, saying that relationships like these in general don't happen is just not true. Now, yes, it's incredibly convenient that both his one night stand partner and teacher he loves are his sisters now, but ultimately Domestic Girlfriend does put an effort forward to write characters like this in a serious light, despite how tasteless it can all sound at times. While tasteless it can sometimes get, by the end of it I can at least understand why the fans of this series want the best for it's characters. As for my own opinions of the anime though, it is a solid anime, but didn't exactly grab me enough with what's here in this twelve episode run. More specifically not enough to inspire me to continue it through it's manga. On that note I'd like to conclude that the anime is one of those more than meets the eye stories, one that is also probably not for everyone if it's premise hasn't already spawned a negative reaction from you.

It is by far one of the best romantic comedy anime I have seen to date, with a ridiculously smart way of using the will they won't they trope. Instead of having two characters that are obviously madly in love with each other, forcing the audience to wait or sometimes never get a romantic resolution. Love is War creates a much more absurd but ultimately devilishly impressive solution. The lovebirds simply have unreasonable levels of pride and an intense inferiority complex. Most romcom dilemmas that create stagnation revolve around the "do they like me or do they not like me" question, however our two leads
...
Kaguya Shinomiya and Miyuki Shirogane are instead SO convinced the other is in love with them and is about to confess. This in turn creates the doubts in the first place about whether the other likes them, a byproduct of the mind games, psychological warfare and impatient attempts to have the other confess sooner, or at the very least give in a little. A fascinating execution for romcom dilemmas if I say so myself, especially since that same pride and inferiority complex I mentioned is likely to be what brought them together in the first place.
All that on it's own is pretty solid for a romcom premise, but Love is War doesn't stop there, cause I haven't even mentioned a pink haired little joker in our deck of cards yet. The side characters of this anime have just as strong as a performance as our two leads, Ai Hayasaka, Yuu Ishigami, and even the presence of a fantastic narrator put on a great supporting performance. Ah yes, and then there's the joker of this deck, Chika Fujiwara, at first a she is seemingly nothing more than a ditsy girl who gets in the way of Kaguya and Miyuki, causing their plans to crumble spectacularly with maximum hilarity. In truth however she is a well-adjusted and competent enough girl to read the situations surrounding Kaguya and Miyuki, assisting them and driving them forward towards more reasonable approaches to solving their shortcomings. She still is unpredictable and a great comedy relief character, with on point reactions and comedic timing that made pretty much 100% of the jokes land. Super recommend!

Great isekai, great anime. This anime goes a nice job with making a unique plot for an isekai anime. It's about a dude named Subaru who suddenly ends up in another world. He realizes that he has no special powers like normal fantasy characters but after dying and returning to a place a few times he realizes that he has the power to return to a certain "checkpoint" when he dies. Subaru then finds a girl he ends up falling for and strives to be her special one.
One problem I find with this anime is the questions about his power. he's not allowed to tell
...
anyone about his power. Why? Because the "witch" will kill him or other people. Why does the witch do this? Never explained. Who is this witch? Never explained. Why does Subaru get this power? Never Explained. I wish they explained more on some parts like character's actions and personalities and why they act certain ways.
This anime gets very intense and dark and many areas. There are certain shit that goes on and Subaru dying a lot while trying to figure out how to change the events to lead to a happy end and him alive. Hard to explain but super intense and highly engaging. Subaru can be clever at times and very fucking stupid at other times. But when he is able to finally find a solution it is very satisfying. Which is one thing I like about this anime and that's the characters. They're all so likable and just full of emotions and personality. So lively and actually characters that aren't copy paste average characters. Even that gay clown dude! One critique about the characters is how they will always disappear for a long time and will either show up late episodes or never show up again despite amazing introductions and character development. It's so frustrating at times when you want to see those characters you started loving. If o
Rem's speech deserves fucking praise too. The most heartwarming and cute speechs of all of anime, it makes the audiences well up with so many emotions and at the end just feel very bad. This created a huge waifu war and love from fans and is what makes Rem just a popular character with addition to her devotion to Subaru.
Openings and EDs in this anime are really nice. The openings are quite catchy and hype while the EDs have this melancholy and dreary feel but feel so epic and symbolistic.
Overall Very Good Anime 8/10 Highly recommended for anyone who wants a dark isekai with waifus.

Literally Best anime of all time. Saying this right now but I highly recommend it. Even the Dub is amazing (that's what I watched it in). So first of all, this anime is about a girl named Violet Evergarden who was gifted to Major Gilbert as a gift from his little brother to be used as a weapon for war. Major Gilbert did not want to use a girl as a human weapon and wanted to teach her how to be more human and independent. After the final battle of the war Major Gilbert is missing and Violet is told that he is on a
...
mission. The dude who tells her is a friend of Major Gilbert and invites Violet to visit his company which is a auto memories doll or something like that. Basically workers write letters for people who are illiterate and try to convey the requester's emotions into words in the letter. When spectating, Violet hears a man say "I Love you" in his letter and instantly Violet remembers a festival a while back where Major Gilbert gives her a gift and says those words. However, Violet does not understand those words and decides to work for the company in order to understand it.
I don't even know where to get started with this anime. Let's start with Violet ig. Violet comes across to some people as a boring character due to her monotone expressions and voice most of the time. This is because she has not experiences those emotions enough and does not understand them. However, she desperately tries to get a grasp on people's emotions and tries to comprehend it. She wants to know what love is. She wants to understand the meaning of those words. Violet is such a wonderful character who has a solid, concrete goal which is actually something that a lot of MCs lack. She also has amazing character development which is also something a lot of MCs lack. As you go on through the anime you see Violet helping out many people with writing letters and even at times goes a step further. She is the pinnacle of MCs, someone beautiful to watch on as you earnestly support her from the bottom of your heart and yearn to understand her feelings of what she's going through.
Each episode is filled to the brim with so much emotions and brilliance. Episode 10 is by far the best episode of all time. i don't want to spoil it bc i want you guys to enjoy this to the maximum. But in short, each episode is filled with these sad, heartbreaking, or heartwarming moments that make you go on a roller coaster of feels. Every single situation you can understand what is going on, it's not like some complete fantasy or unrealistic situation where you have no idea how characters would feel. And the moment when Violet solves the problem or finishes the letter it ends up with this really emotional and moving moment. The anime starts off slightly slow as it's hard to get into it but just hold on and keep going because it takes a massive turn. On episode 10, I was watching on a plane and I could not stop myself from tearing up and crying.
Final thing to say about this anime is the art. GOD this thing is literally the most beautiful thing ever. Every scene has extremely detailed art and the scenery in this anime is so god damn gorgeous. The characters are also nicely drawn and animated and it is just fucking breathtaking. Lemme post 2 pictures to show you an example.
The opening and ending are so fucking great. The opening looks very very beautiful and the singer, TRUE, has this powerful and lovely voice that gets you hyped and relaxed at the same time. The ending started off p bad for me. But then after some emotional episodes the ending felt like it was gonna be the trigger to my tears, it's this calming woman's voice that feels like a mother consoling you after a sad moment.
Rating this anime a 20/10, recommending it for everyone.
