Welcome to my review of Venus Project: Climax! Now that the 6 episodes have come out, this version of my review will be the final one.
(Story - 5/10)
The story itself feels rushed. Considering the number of episodes, that should be a given. But, that's where the strength of the story lies as well. Precisely because of the short episode count, each of the main character's development progress was quickly done and over with, which brings the Anime itself straight into the climax, which is the Formula Venus singing and dancing competition. That's where the strong part of the Anime lies; because of the interesting concept
...
that is the virtual fighting between the materialization of each singer's soul when they are singing, us audience will want to be able to watch more of those. Jumping straight into the climax only helps fuel that. The other good part of the story would be that each of the competitors in Formula Venus has their own dream, although that part wasn't properly played out due to the low episode count once again, but that doesn't pose much of a factor.
This part comes in at the final episode of Venus Project: Climax where the final song of the competition happens to be itself. I like this because it brings a proper closure which many Anime lacks and if you have watched it, it shows how Ruka and Eriko sing their hearts out not because they want to win, but simply because they just want to sing alongside each other. Winning at that point isn't important anymore.
(Art - 6/10)
The art style of this Anime is pretty fitting. The choice of colors are colorful and vibrant, which is a great fit for any Anime involving singing and dancing, as they portrait each character's joyfulness and cheerful self. The way the characters are designed are pretty well done as well. When looking at them, you couldn't possibly say that one is a rip-off of another, because they aren't! Each character has their own unique design.
(Sound - 7/10)
Short as it may be, being an Anime about singing and dancing, this should come as no surprise. Songs are great, and the uniqueness of the way they are presented was really what caught my eye. As mentioned in the story section, the interesting concept that is the virtual fighting between the materialization of each singer's soul when they are singing has also helped to represent the songs in a different light. Because the characters put their heart and soul into singing and dancing coupled with the action in the virtual battle, the charm and attractiveness of the songs which makes the audience listen to them were brought out.
(Character - 4/10)
To be completely honest, the Anime itself does not have much character development. Yes, while we have seen the characters progress how they came to know about Formula Venus to participating in it, there isn't much else to see other than the competition itself. That being said, the plus points are when the types of each competitor are shown when they have either won or lost a match, that is the sportsmanship and the friendship between some of them.
This part was also added because of the final episode of the Anime. Considering the number of main character listed and how late into the show Ruka appeared, I was worried that she wouldn't have enough screen time to develop as one of the main characters. That changed because of how much she has done for her country and it also shows how much she loves singing.
(Enjoyment - 7/10)
Given that it is a 6 episode series, the main point would come down to whether the Anime can rein my interest in for that long. In the end, I would have to say that it did. For that, the enjoyment part deserves a high score. For those who are new to the series or have not watched it till this point, the way to keep your interest in it is to put your attention and focus on the competition itself. That way, you'll be looking forward to the next match once the previous one ends and you'll never get bored of it until the end of the Anime.
(Overall - 7/10)
On overall, I'm giving this Anime a 7 out of 10 score for how much I enjoyed it. It is a good watch if you're someone who enjoys listening to songs while watching action go on at the same time. While it is centered around singing, it is not too much too the point where the singing itself becomes mundane. Do give it a go and tell me what you think about it!

Welcome to my review of Choujigen Game Neptune The Animation OVA! Since this OVA is a sequel to the anime series Choujigen Game Neptune The Animation which I have written a review for as well, I am going to keep this as short as possible in my personal format for OVAs. Here we go:
For those who have watched the Anime series and this one as well, you would probably feel that this OVA offers a better ending. For those who have not watched the series, it is highly recommended that you do watch it first as it a continuation from the ending.
For one episode,
...
this OVA has a pretty decent story development process. While it is an entire story crammed into one episode, it didn't actually feel crammed at all. In fact, there were parts that progressed way too fast. 1st floor to 9,999th floor would be an example. However, the progress from then onwards is decent because I got to see that obtaining the flowers that they came for is not actually a cakewalk. I also got to see how Peashy and Neptune got together again. These two points added a score to the story.
There really isn't much to comment on the art style of the OVA as it hasn't changed from the Anime series at all. Overall, still good.
The same goes for the sound portion as well. You can still watch a flurry of fight scenes while knowing what is going on due to good sound effects and art.
There honestly is little to no room for improvement for the characters because what you would have known is already shown in the Anime series itself. You can't really expect much character development from a one episode OVA, can you?
As a continuation of the Anime series, I did retain the enjoyment that I had for it. I had a great time watching it and would feel that the rest of you do too!
On overall, I'm giving this OVA a 6 for the amount of enjoyment that I got from it. If you have watched the Anime series, I would definitely recommend that you watch the OVA as well. If you have not, then I would recommend that you watch it first. Give it a go!

Welcome to me review of Choujigen Game Neptune The Animation!
(Story - 3/10)
The story of the Anime was the one part I wasn't very satisfied with. For a 12-episode long Anime with an OVA, the stories should have been thought and planned out. Yet, while watching the Anime move along, I felt that some of the stories took way too long to pan out. There were also ones that ended way too quickly as well. As you can see, there's kind of an imbalance there. The progress overall felt too rocky and not properly paced out.
(Art - 7/10)
The art of the Anime is one of its
...
plus points. Being in a fantasy world, one would expect the use of vibrant colours and effects to help enhance the art of the Anime. It did. The art was well done; fight scenes were beautifully animated as well. Also, this is an extra point, but for an Anime with so much fan service, the art definitely helps out there.
(Sound - 7/10)
The sound of the Anime is another one of its plus points. Being action-packed and having several fight scenes, proper and adequate sounds are definitely a must. During the fight scenes you could tell what was going or which action was being executed at that particular time by hearing the sound in addition to the animation.
(Character - 5/10)
The characters of the Anime had pretty decent development, from being Goddesses of different states who were wary of one another at first to being friendly in the end. Despite the unbalance in the story, the characters themselves had decent development, both in their power and their relationship with one another. From the start to the end, you could witness their growth at a steady pace.
(Enjoyment - 6/10)
The enjoyment that I got from this Anime was Fair. While watching through the episodes one by one, there were times where I felt different emotions such as sadness when Peashy got kidnapped. It was somewhat lifted later on when they got her back but her memories did not. It shot way back up when Peashy remembered Neptune later on.
(Overall - 6/10)
On overall, I'm giving this Anime a 6 out of 10 score for the amount of enjoyment that I got from it. This Anime is a good watch if you're someone who enjoys fantasy scenes with a lot of fan service. Give it a go!

Welcome to my review of Re-Kan! It has been a while since my previous review, so I'll try to keep it as brief yet informative as possible.
(Story - 5/10)
The story itself focuses on a very standardized set of plot where the listed main characters are usually all you'll ever see in the Anime. Screen-time wise, it is passable as each main character does get their own set of scenes. But, back to the main point. The feel that I get from watching this Anime is that the story can be both lighthearted yet heart-warming at times. One of the main characters, Amami Hibiki, is the
...
protagonist where she connects to the ghosts through her ghost-sense, or Re-Kan, as the Anime title is named, and as a result they like her a lot too. The other main characters are there to add color to their everyday lives.
(Art - 6/10)
The art style of this Anime is very fitting as well. The choice of colors and the way the characters are designed are pretty well done. The one flaw I noticed would be the eyes of the main characters where they seemingly appear in front of the character's hair. Other than that, it's all good.
(Sound - 7/10)
The sounds, especially the OSTs, are one of the plus points of this Anime. Even the music used during various scenes sound pretty fitting as well. Just listen to them!
(Character - 6/10)
The character development on the main characters' side honestly does not have much development; while I do think that it is nice that Amami is able to treat the ghosts as though they are humans and has conversations with them as such, it is also true that it gets kind of mundane when you see her walking through the same neighborhood and carrying out pretty much the same actions everyday, like greeting the ghosts and going to school. It is the same with the other main characters, where they themselves go to school and talk about their everyday lives and bullying the crap out of Yamada.
(Enjoyment - 7/10)
I would say that the Anime is pretty enjoyable. While watching through the series one by one, there were times where I would get bored while watching halfway through, then get up and feel touched during certain scenes where the ghosts' problems get solved.
(Overall - 7/10)
On overall, I'm giving this Anime a 7 out of 10 score for the amount of enjoyment that I got from it. This Anime is a good watch if you're someone who enjoys light-hearted humor. While it is centered around ghosts, it is not too much too the point of a horror Anime where scares pop up out of nowhere. Give it a go!

Welcome to my review of Aldnoah.Zero 2nd Season. At the time of writing this review, I have compelted watching the series. This review might be a little late, but do take a look and see what I think about it and give me some pointers as well on my Afterthoughts blog post on my profile so we can discuss and at the same time, let me improve on writing reviews so I can come up with better ones next time.

an Afterthoughts pertaining to this particular Anime for some healthy discussion. Thanks!
Here goes:
1) Story (3/10)
- At this point, you would probably have finished watching the first season of this Anime. You wouldn't understand what was going on if you delved straight into the second season without watching the first. Read between the lines here. What I actually meant is that the story is kinda complicated and twisted in the fact that you have a war between Terrans and Martians and yet the one leading the Martians later on in the series is actually a Terran. Like I've said before, if you didn't watch the first season before starting on the second, you wouldn't understand what was going on.
Having loopholes in the story doesn't help as well. First season aside, the second one is another one where unless you are set up to intentionally be killed, you will never die. Not specifically mentioning scenes, there are points in the Anime where characters get shot in seemingly vital areas, yet live.
2) Art (7/10)
- In all honesty, this area of the Anime is one of its saving graces. In a Mecha Anime, you'd expect the fighting scenes to be well illustrated, with the machinery, gunshots and whatnot to be well depicted.
Take what I said with a pinch of salt, though. Even though I mentioned that the art was pretty decent, there were also some Kataphrakt designs that were ridiculously not in-line with their ability. If you didn't know before, every Count has a Kataphrakt that is associated with a special ability that is unique from the others. How they are not in-line, I will leave that up to your imagination as you watch the series.
3) Sound (8/10)
- Another one of the areas in which I would watch the Anime for. Sound choices pertaining to whenever fighting was about to start was pretty apt and generic music choices were good too. One point to note is that the overuse of the same music whenever the two main characters, Kaizuka Inaho and Slaine Troyard, were about to go into an epic 1v1 battle will sound boring to those who have heard it multiple times.
4) Character (5/10)
- Passable in the sense that I was worried about how Inaho would develop as a character in the second season after getting shot in the head in the first. The same goes for Slaine, as well as Count Saazbaum. Saazbaum was a bit of a disappointment as [START OF SPOILER] he was killed off early by Slaine [END OF SPOILER] so he didn't have much time to develop. Inaho and Slain, on the other hand, were given the entire season to develop as I must say that I am somewhat disappointed as well. Sure, both of them have had big advances in their area as to the things they are able to do and their individual skill in controlling their respective Kataphrakts, but what they were able to do with them is disappointing.
5) Enjoyment (6/10)
-Despite the low score on the Story section, I actually enjoyed the Anime series as a whole. Action was good; the fight scenes were nothing too incredible but not bad at the same time. Interaction among the characters, not just the main ones, were pretty decent as well. There were some, but not too much, of those cheesy scenes whereby "All right guys, we're at a disadvantage here. We need to band together through our strong feelings and we'll be able win."
6) Overall (5/10)
-Overall, I find the second season mediocre at best. If you've come to watch it because of the first season, then why not just go all the way and watch the second one as well. I personally wouldn't recommend the second season of an Anime to a person who hasn't watched the first, but if you're simply jsut a big fan of mecha Anime, why not?

Welcome to my review of Love Live! School Idol Project. At the time of writing this review I have completed watching the series. This review might be late, but this Anime is one of my all-time favorites and I hope you guys can take the time to see what I think about it.
Considering the time of writing this review, it will cover both the 1st and 2nd Season of the Anime series and will be about how the series is done as a whole.
I'll put this section here early in case you guys miss it. Do visit my blog section on my profile after

reading my review for an Afterthoughts pertaining to this particular Anime for some healthy discussion. Thanks!
Here goes:
1) Story (9/10)
- For a school idol-based Anime, one would expect the story to be focused on the main idol group or personality. Instead, what is portrayed in this Anime is the individual character development. There are 9 people in the group, and so 9 different stories (or Arcs, as you would call it) are shown in the Anime. Indirectly, the focus on individual characters boosted the story of their school idol unit as a whole. I find this to be a very interesting point to note and that the audience wouldn't get bored because the Anime doesn't just stick to one character all the time.
2) Art (8/10)
- The colors and design are what you would expect; bright and vibrant with a healthy mix of different looks for each character. Once again, you should notice the focus on individual characters here. Each of them are unique in their own right and have different personalities to distinguish one another apart. The use of sakura blossoms brightens up the atmosphere as well.
3) Sound (9/10)
- Coming from a school idol Anime, sound is pretty much one of the most important points you would expect to be good. And it is. From the development of the music to how it is played and acted out, they are almost perfectly done and there is little to nothing to nitpick about.
4) Character (10/10)
- Normally, I'd rarely give out a full mark score for any category. However, the character portion of this Anime series is really well done. As mentioned before, the individual character focus give time for each of them to develop and makes for an exciting and fun to watch series. Each featured character has their own spotlight in the series and are given their own freedom and space to gel with the idol unit so that they become closer to one another, if that is not enough, the unit even has outings together to ensure that they have fun with one another. I cannot mention this enough, the character portion of the series is really a stand-out point.
5) Enjoyment (9/10)
- The Anime series starts off with a curious development right off the bat; having to save the school from closing down. (Not a spoiler; it's mentioned in the synopsis.) How that develops, I won't mention further. The series then moves to the formation of the idol unit, its development and growth while simultaneously focusing on character development for each of the nine members. All in all, the series is really fun to watch.
6) Overall (9/10)
- I came to know of this Anime series through a friend's recommendation and I'm glad I gave it a shot. It's a great choice for anyone looking for a school idol Anime to watch and I would definitely recommend it myself. There wasn't a point in the Anime in which I disliked; it was well done in every aspect. For those who haven't watched the series, do give it a go and tell me what you think about it!

Welcome to my review of Seiken Tsukai no World Break. At the time of writing this review, I have completed watching the series. Although it might be a little late considering the Anime finished airing on March 30 2015, do take a look and give me some pointers as to where I should or could improve on in my review so I can write better ones in the future.

Here
...
goes:
1) Story (3/10)
- Here's why I feel that the Story portion is poor. The development to the series is way too imbalanced. While I feel that the "memories of past lives" concept is an interesting notion and makes for great development potential (which is why I gave it points in the first place) , it did not happen throughout the series. The reason why I say this is because if you have memories of your past lives, then your abilities in this life has already been decided from the get-go. In other words, they're limited. At the time of reading this review, if you guys have watched the Anime, then you should be able to tell a noticeable power gap between the MC and almost everyone else.
2) Art (5/10)
- Here's why I feel that the Art portion is fair. The art is actually pretty decent. The MC has a silver highlight in the middle-front portion of his hair, which makes him stand out from the other characters (duh, because he's the MC). Even though he has a feature that distinguishes him from the other characters, it is not too much to the point where he looks totally different. He actually blends in well with the others. The art of the Metaphysicals are average at best. While I an understand that making them look incredibly huge will instill the notion that they're hard-to-beat bosses that are supposed to be taken down by multiple people, it doesn't really matter when all you have to do is remember a fraction of your past live, right? The story doesn't do the art justice, which is why it only gets a passable score.
3) Sound (7/10)
- Here's why I feel that the Sound portion is good. There's actually not much to comment about this part, if you've heard the OST, you'll find that it's quite pleasant and fits into the Anime well. It gives the Anime itself a good start.
In case you're wondering, the OST's name is Dragon Heart. No, do your own research. I ain't gonna help any more than telling the name.
4) Character (2/10)
- Here's why I feel that the Character portion is dreadful. Character development for the MC is way too fast. A few starting episodes in and he's already an unstoppable beast and a Metaphysical-killing machine. Got himself into a rough patch? No problem, "I remember!" ( or"Omoidashita!" for those who remember). In comparison, all other characters(and I really mean every single other featured character) pale A LOT in comparison. This is proven by the MC needing to appear at every last moment and remembering some powerful moves to finish the enemy. The difference between the MC and the other characters are too great to even be considered having a higher score.
5) Enjoyment (2/10)
- Here's why I feel that the Enjoyment portion is dreadful. As mentioned in the Character section above, character development is way too imbalanced. This means that about halfway through the series (or even earlier), you'd be used to the MC landing hard-hitting wide area attacks that will defeat the enemy easily. Sure you might enjoy the opening moments of the Anime watching the characters develop, which is little to none, but after that comes boredom. There's literally nothing else to watch other than, you know, hard-hitting moves that will save the day.
6) Overall (3/10)
- Overall, the Anime is not a very one to watch. The progression feels forced and the pacing is pretty bad as well. You could watch it if you're just looking to kill some time or if you really like Harem Anime. I wouldn't recommend it.
