This manga makes me sad... very sad... When I first watched the anime I loved it and now years later I decided to finally experience the whole story through the manga. Similar to the anime it starts off so strong and slowly drops off the more you read. Still I enjoyed my time reading this manga.

The lore is super interesting and unique. The writing/story seems to be rushed at the end with a lot of harsh character changes that seem unnatural. The characters themselves are great and grant the reader a lot of unique viewpoints on the story. The art is very good too. The ... design of the demons is so cool. Overall, I gave such a harsh rating because of how it ended but The Promised Neverland still has something special about it that I can't fully explain. Would recommended watching the first season of the anime and calling it there.

Would it be weird for an 18 year old to fall in love with a 27 year old that has the mind of a 9 year old? How would their dynamic be? If you're curious you should read this manga. Sensou Kyoushitsu is a medieval battling, shonenesk manga set in an alternative fantasy reality. Imagine kingdom but with less ambitious world building (so far) and shonen ability system. The most intriguing aspect for me has been the unraveling plot with a close second being the battles. The lore goes DEEP and they explain it in a way that makes it interesting. This manga seems to ... be moving pretty fast so a lot of information has been packed into the 31 chapters released so far. The battles are also insane. The author makes uses of some fairly basic abilities in some creative and intriguing ways. Something I didn't like about this manga was cliche feel it gave me, especially at the start. It doesn't deviate from the classic fighting manga path but still excels at what it does. Would recommend if you like cool fights.

Tower Dungeon is as basic a dark fantasy manga can get, yet it breathes such a refreshing take on the genre. I am by no means a fantasy connoisseur but this has quickly become one of my favorite.

The standout quality for me was easily the world building and art. The grand scale of the architecture mixed with the grizzly creatures gives a sense of unease that I felt goes so well with this story. Tsutomu Nihei is an amazingly talented artist and his art really added to emersion in the Manga.

The story and characters are super standard. It’s pretty much Shrek tbh. But that doesn’t ... take away from the manga, in fact I think it adds to it. The simplicity of the story allows it to get right to the “good stuff” from the get go. Some people might find this as a negative but I thought it worked well. If I had one complaint it would be the slightly awkward fan service. It feels very out of place in a manga like this.

Overall I really enjoy reading this and will definitely continue to follow the series as more chapters come out.
