This show is really weird and kind of difficult to watch because it's so abstract to a point where it feels like a nonsensical mess sometimes. That being said it's the kind of media that sticks with you long after you finish watching it, and it'll make you remember it, leaving a surprising impact as you take a moment to step back and look at the internet from the outside.

Most shows are designed to be entertaining but this is more focused on it's message. I could go on about it all but a lot of it has already been said by countless reviews and ... video essays.

My main take away is the importance of the human body. It is part of who we are and protects us against evil. We must not confuse the digital with that of the real world as making that separation puts us in danger of losing ourselves.

It's kind of all over the place sometimes but I'll give credit where it's due. It sure is interesting. If you're looking for an anime unlike anything else, this is definitely that.

Is it good? No not really. Then why the heck am I recommending it? Because if you haven't seen it, it's still worth watching.


This is a kids show. Treating it like anything else is silly. It's rated TV-PG for a reason. Even if that wasn't the author's intent that's what it ended up being. Once you realize that and don't take it too seriously that's when you can appreciate it for what it is.


There's no question that it's poorly written but that ended up being half of the fun. Seeing how it didn't make sense half the time to such a ridiculous degree was ... funny and despite it's poorly written plot and characters was still more engaging than a lot of the seasonal Isekai slop that we get now.


It's a fun show to just turn your brain off and enjoy the silliness of it all. I want to recommend this show as a product of it's time and for it to be experienced as that as opposed to expecting something profound cause you won't find it here.


When it comes to clearly stupid shows, this one is worth a watch. (at least the first 14 episodes it got kinda boring after that tbh)

This one pulled at my heart strings more than I expected. It can feel a but all over the place but that's mostly because of all the moving parts in the plot. Not a whole lot that I have to say that hasn't already been said but I do have some thoughts.

The time travel thing was unexpected but fairly interesting but towards the end I got very concerned because of where it was going. One thing I absolutely HATE when it comes to time travel (especially in a sequel) is when it undoes all the experiences and moments that we have spent all this time ... watching to get the same result in a different way than we experienced. It just doesn't sit right with me and annoys the heck out of me, almost to the point that I feel like I've wasted my time. That being said, they danced on the line and managed to not fall off on the wrong side.

From what I got form implications, almost everything played out exactly the same as what we saw in the series. The only difference being that he didn't meet Shoko which I thought would mess it all up but it seemed to work out similarly. On top of it all they end up getting their memories back and all making it out okay.

TLDR: It had a story trope that I was afraid they would mess up but ended up being better than most stories that use it.

I found this show by complete accident and thought I might have had a lucky find as it honestly started pretty good. Nothing crazy but it had me fairly interested and entertained. The way that they paced it at the beginning had the plot almost resolve by episode 3 though and it felt like everything after that was thrown together like they hadn't thought that far ahead.

From then on it was the most boring cookie cutter harem anime ever. The conflicts feel random and unnecessary and the MC's backstory feels like a useless plot device that doesn't even take the narrative anywhere except give him ... reasons to be popular with the girls and have a traumatic backstory.

What I think is it's worst crime that this show commits is not even fulfilling the main reason it presents for you to watch the show. The name is literally "Romcom Where The Childhood Friend Won't Lose" and none of the 3 childhood friends actually get with the MC. It's 12 episodes of anime clickbait at it's finest.

Also that ending was incredibly confusing. I'm assuming this isn't the end of the story but it's a really poor way of setting up a season 2 (If there ever ends up being one). I'm not sure what was even happening there. It seemed like they were acting in a movie but it just felt so randomly placed and unclear for the average viewer.

90% of the show felt like it was just trying to drag out to the 12 episode mark without actually telling a story. It's a nothing burger of an anime.

This show isn't for everyone but I really enjoyed it.

The animation is stunning, the characters are interesting, and the narrative while not perfect can really hit sometimes. I really came to love these characters and came out of this show smiling.

It does have some spots that feel a bit sloppy but it makes up for it for the moments that it really shines. While some of the ideas it was trying to express felt a little forced and awkward there were others that really hit home and made me really feel a connection with some of these characters.

Not a perfect show but I got ... a lot out of it so give it a shot if it looks good to you!

I still don't know what force of nature compelled me to watch this entire thing because it was an absolute waste of time. This show falls flat in basically every way and I was just in disbelief from how bad this show was.

The characters, dialogue, animation, art style, and story were just so poorly made and boring. There is nothing compelling about any characters, some being annoying and others painfully cringey. The main character we follow around is a total loser and not the kind that is funny or relatable but instead obnoxious and stupid. He constantly talks about how video games are all ... he’s good for and has like no character development whatsoever other than the fact he’s like “Wait a minute! I like girls!” and even then he doesn't grow as a person at all.

The main love interest Oono is not much better as she has no actual character traits and despite having a voice actress never speaks. It's not like she is mute or has social anxiety, she just doesn't talk for some reason.

Still don't know why I subjected myself to this but yeah it's just painfully boring.

This show was kinda underwhelming. Some of the ideas were fairly interesting but the characters and the chemistry between them wasn't all that great in my opinion. The main love interest girl Kouko is kinda unlikable all things considered. Her character never really grew on me which made the whole experience a lot less entertaining. She's just kinda dumb and obnoxious and while they do have scenes to redeem her character it just doesn't really hit. It's not like I think she's awful or something, she's just kind of annoying.

The most interesting part of this show is the whole aspect with Banri and his amnesia. ... It really was the only reason I kept watching as the way they developed it was interesting. That being said when they introduced his past self as a ghost I feel like it only hindered the narrative and made it more convoluted.

The ending was okay. It technically tied all the knots but it somehow still didn't feel quite resolved or leave me feeling satisfied. This show shines best when exploring the themes that make it unique. That being said, when the characters aren't good, it'll hinder the story no matter how good the premise is.
