Frieren: Beyond Journey's End is an interesting take on the fantasy genre. It is a slow and methodical story that focuses on character development and the exploration of the passage of time. Speaking of the characters, I only watched three episodes, and I always love how self-aware and mature the characters are, especially Frieren. (I am having a hard time pronouncing her name.) She is such a relatable and down-to-earth character.

Fuck this show. It made me think about it for months after I finished it. It is crazy what an animated show could do to your mind.
if you loved the series, I highly recommend to check the VN, Since It has more details, Info about the characters and plot. I also recommend to read the mange babel of the grieved maze, It narrates the events form Kurisu's POV rather Than Okabe's. It will make understand and appreciate her character more, because it digs deep into her mind, her fears, feelings and insecurities. Before reading it, I thought that she was a good character, but ...

I never realized an anime about suicide will be this funny
It is basically episodic, with each episode introducing a new character, my favourites are: the girl who trolls others with messages , and the one obsessed with animals tails (Yes that is really in the anime). Be aware the it is very fanservicey and filled with random shots of panties and other weird stuff. Aside from that, this anime can teach your things about society, particularly the Japanes society and the social issues which you do not normally see in media. When they played randon classical music in the background I bursted out laughing, and when the guy named takeru told the bad guy: you can talk. I could not believe my eyes. How could The dialogue be so lame and trivial like this?
Another dumb moment when the girl said: if you do not do it, everyone will die. I felt like a nine years old wrote this line. Lots of awkward silence, characters do not answere any question posed to them, and a plot which makes absolutely no sense. Not to forget the "legendary" animation. Who the hell created this? |
