"I'm living diligently, but there is one thing I am hiding..." Miyako
MASHIKAKU ROCK is a Soft romance manga written and illustrated by Watanabe Kana. The stories revolves around Miyako, a girl who lives her life diligently, following her deceased fathers words. The only thing he taught her in the past is to play the guitar, which he tells her not to play since he believed his actions caused a lot of problem to her mother. Once at school , she is asked by the drama club to help out with the instruments. She sees a guitar and strums it, only to be
...
caught in act by Koutaru , her classmate. He asks her to join the band in return to delete the evidence ? What does she chose? What happens henceforth? The answers all lie in this short sweet journey
Score card for lazy readers-
( since i am shojo manic and this is anice read, I maybe a bit bias with the rankings)
Story-7
Art-7
Character-8
Enjoyment-8
Overall-8
The story is simple and soft with no forced drama or cliche. I won't say it's original, but has its own touch and approach to music and specially playing music live. It's only 3chapters short, but sure leaves a smile in your face after reading it.
Since its a short manga, there usually is a small room for character development. But for mashikaku rock, it isn't the case. You get to see a development in Miyako , her change in ideals and her way to live her life. Koutaru , as the leader is very cute and heartwarming. His shy side is also sweet which make you go awwww. Youhei is the third member and a drummer with a happy go lucky personality. Overall the characters are light and have a simple atmosphere
When it comes to the art department, it sure is nice. You get to see the girl with braids unlike the usual stylish open hair chicks. The design, instruments are also drawn nicely. It's not fantastic nor it is pathetic . It suits the mood of the manga.
Overall this manga really made me feel nice and has a warm feeling. The characters though have small screen time, but grow on you and sure are likeable. Finally a shoujo manga with no hot buys, bishonens, harems and crazy butterfly weaklings.
I recommend this for all shoujo lovers who have got sick of cliche and the stupid girl plot.
Summer is kicking in so kill time with a good read..
If I messed up with some part, I'm very sorry. Please do feel free with discuss your thoughts with me and point out my flaws or criticize my reviews anytime. If you feel so, do drop by a comment on my page.

"The distance between him and me is unreachable" - Haruru
Amai Akuma Ga or sweet devil smile (as translated in MAL) is a shoujo manga illustrated and written by Pedoro Toriumi. When I say shoujo, I only mean shoujo as this manga has no other genres, like other shoujo manga's have.
So what is in the plot that made me read this?
Misunderstanding. No, I don't mean the ploy here but my reason of reading this manga. A BIG misunderstanding. Being a sucker for romance, I got easily fooled by the fan girdling comments of the plot being " sweet" and "moe" in various sites, but trust
...
me, if u feel any guy holding a girl, sort of molesting her as moe..... Now then this is for you.
SCORECARD for lazy readers-
Plot- 6
Art-6 for isshin 7
Character and development-4
Enjoyment-6
Overall score-5 (personally- 4)
Welcome, the little princess on board, miss Haruru Shirosaki, the daughter of a big director who is ah.... Never home. So he feels, 'my dear daughter must always be lonely' ( presumed without me) So he brings in a 'butler' or the hero and only savior of the manga, Satomoto, Isshin, the son of a person who has his business failing.
Interested? Well so was I, till this point.
Going further.
Our little princess is from a girls school which is exactly opposite to a boys school. So all the girls just go " kya kyaaaa" at the hot guys. And mind you, these girls are filthy rich. So Haruru sees isshin from the school window and sort of mesmerized by him. ( P.O. - if the schools were so close, just make it co-Ed with different sections.duh) As she wonders about ever meeting him, back home, her father introduces her to isshin, aka now the butler.(previously the window crush)
And the summery wraps up and the dangerous love saga starts ( dangerous?.. Nah I don't want to spoil things here)
The drawing is good, but for some reason, I feel the main character really annoying. Yes, by art, annoying, not to mention i even feel her character a bit twisted. but again this is shoujo manga, so keeping all "sense" at bay, i'll forgive her. coming back to the art, everyone else look amazing except the main character. Why? For being a directors kid, she is hardly matured. The guys introduced standout (take it as a compliment here) and actually saviors of the manga.( no spoiler intended) . But as I mentioned in the start, the only hope and appeal of this manga is isshin and boy o boy, he sure is hot. The other detailing is also good, but nothing out of usual in case of backgrounds.
Character and development.
The most disappointing and lacking part of this manga is maybe this critaria. And perhaps the reason for its downfall. The main character is not mature as I mentioned earlier and is airhead. Not that I have a problem with being a air head, but for her position, She is a real kid and she is as bad as hikari (special A) in Nobelism. Well hikari was not Rich, so I won't blame her, but this kid here is really great. Ok i'll be a bit kind and mark her good points as well.
She is a fluffy character, has no problem with guys undressing her or peeking under her skirt and has no problem living with a butler under the same roof.
Isshin is introduced amazingly but when it comes to development, he is treated brutally. He is dark and I really like his teasing ways and the dark aura. But he is an open mystery which will never be solved, be it past or his change of emotions, which I was really waiting for in 23 chapters...(gah, what a waste)
But the fact that even our isshin can not defeat the devilishly talented butler, Sebastian from Black butler remains a reality. Tough both emit the same dark aura, Sebastian is "devilishly "talented and isshin is ..well...."dangerously"talented.
As for other characters, I won't open their names, but you have some real good characters which had a real nice potential, but like isshin treated very harshly and thrown out. Whats left, some cute and spoiled rich brats and some minor yet potential characters who can be mesmerized by just a touch. (If you ever read this, you'll get what I mean)
"The boy who stares at me intently is my just butler... ALthough he is a dangerous guy" - guess who?
Enjoyment and conclusion
Does it have any... ? That up to you. But my personal opinions are below.
If you like hot butlers, got bored of sebby and just want a new butler to play with, you have one open candidate. Second, if you like crazy plots, abrupt endings, lack of character development, this is the ideal manga
But for me this was nothing but a manga to kill some exam pressure with, and perhaps a wrong decision. I won't say it sucked or is horrible. If it were, I wouldn't take the pain to write so much. But yes, is manga which had a really good potential, good intro but poor development and situations.
It's as if you have the required cloth, buttons, a sewing machine, but have no idea how to make a shirt!
For few instance they could detail things about isshin, or the other potential characters. (No spoiler intended, but so far where did Dangerous appear?) But for some few good scenes, some hot poses and for few chapters I'll give it a 5. Some may favour the art so. Maybe a 6 for them. Apart from these numbers, I don't feel this manga can get more.Maybe I criticize this a bit more, but it feels bad to see a good story down the drain.... Deep down the drain.
Yet, I look forward to sensei's next work, which perhaps may be a bit improved and has much better things in store.
** I may have messed up few things here and there. If so I sincerely apologize, since I was busy thinking about the good points of the manga :D
Sarcasm apart, if you have any opinions you would like to share, suggestions, tips to pull more leg of the manga, or some real long lecturing on how pathetic I write, do drop by a comment on my page**

Half and half is a manga, I stumbled upon while something good to read. At first, it doesn't look much interesting, but It would be wrong, if I decide it by just glancing.
Half and half is Nanami Mao, which centers the topic of homosexuality, in a typical shoujo way.
Hina is a young girl in her 20’s. She lives in the countryside and has had a really bad luck with boys. While she was with her boyfriend, she remembers her childhood memories or to be precise her first crush, Itsuki. Hina is a girl who is not so “girly”, so when she was taunted by
...
others in the past, Itsuki was always there for her rescue. He promises to marry her, even if she is ugly.
A decade has passed, yet, Hina still has feelings for him. She goes to meet Istuki’s grandmother who is the neighbor and talks about Itsuki. Suddenly, a hot sexy lady interferes their talk- who is this hot woman? Itsuki?
After leaving the country side, Itsuki lives in the town and realizes his trans-sexuality that is- he is Gay. He believes he is a woman from inside and doesn’t shy off in showing it off. Due to his trans-gender problem, he is thrown out of the house, city and so he comes back to the countryside.
Will Hina accept Itsuki’s change? Will her feelings change? Will Itsuki revert back?
The story answers all these answers.
In mangas dealing with such topics, character development is something which needs to be good and acceptable. At first the characters are lovable, but somewhere I feel Hina to be way to kiddish. She is 20 and is still not in track with her “feeling of love”. Itsuki’s decision in the end is still confusing, but then again, it’s a manga, so maybe comparing it to real life is a bit harsh. Further you are introduced to characters who look promising, but sadly are not utilized or simply not given justice
Coming to the art, the manga is well drawn. It resembles the art of manga’s like high school debut or cat street. Itsuki as a woman is really hot, and his transformation look is acceptable in art. He does not transform into a 3rd person with makeup. The set, scenes and country-side look is really nicely done. The fashion is not so ultra modern, so it justifies the fact of being in the country side.
At first, this manga started off really nice. Its different but not original. If you are a shoujo fanatic, you’ll get to see similarities of the plot with mangas like lovely complex and Usotsuki lily. But then again transgender, as a comical romance, now that something new. In fact it hooked me up for an hour straight, but as you go in deep, there are flaws in the story… to pinpoint them, the ending is something which doesn’t convince you. But yet again, it depends on how you take.
Conclusion-
Half and Half is a typical shoujo manga outcome plot. It’s not original, but surely can be given a shot by shoujo fans. It’s a good time kill, but if you expect it to be serious about trans-gender topics, you may be a bit disappointed. If you’re in to light manga’s and not serious plots, then you should read this manga.

Imagine, a Shinigami comes knocking at your door and tells you to kiss somebody out of blue?
Sure your gonna think it’s some scam or someone playing a trick on you. Right? A similar situation starts in Renai Boukun.
Renai Boukun or Love Tyrant is a Death Note parody by Aino Seiji. It revolves around out protagonist, Aino Seiji, a normal high school boy who gets caught up by, Giris, a cupid who actually enjoys cosplaying as a Shinigami. But is this as dark, cold, scary like Death Note? Read on—
** There might be a bit of spoilers, but i don't think they will ruin
...
your fun**
Plot-
Aino Senji, a normal high school boy gets caught up with Giris, a cupid. She is an angel who links up couples by writing their name in her ‘KISS NOTE’. Something like A X B.
She accidently writes down Senji’s name. Now, Senji has to kiss someone within 24hrs or Giris will die! Also, he will remain a virgin his entire life!!
To find a solution, they go to his high school, to find a suitable person for Senji to kiss out of his free will. There, comes Hiyama Akane, Senji’s crush. Normally, Giris would not be visible to other people, but surprisingly is visible to Akane. To make things worse, Akane misunderstands that Senji and Giris are dating. The cute and hot Akane becomes a killer yanadre and gives “capital punishment” to Giris and Senji. Senji and Giris somehow escape but are caught by Akane who attacks both of them. Senji protects Giris and in the attempt Giris makes Senji and Akane kiss!! So does the story end,?Nope, there is more. Giris also kisses Senji! Now starts a harem between a cupid and high school guy and a yanadre.
Giris X Senji X Akane.
Art-
Renai Boukun is the typical shounen harem series, so the art is quite like its genre. Big boobs, panty shots are all part of this manga. If I have to relate the art, it’s quite similar to Koisme Momiji. The detailing is good, and the main thing- the KISS NOTE is just like the DEATH NOTE
Characters-
The story is introduced by Senji, our hero who is just like normal shounen romance guys. a normal guy with a crush. Giris is one of a kind shinigami...oops cupid. She is the sole comedy carrier of the manga. And the biggest blunder is that she is a BL fan.. Now imagine all the couples she may have made!!! All gays!! Not to mention, her sudden transform into a lover is also a funny part. But the serious change award foes to Akane. At first she is a really a big boob sweet girl, but appearances can be deceptive. She is over possessive of Senji and also a psycho yanadre. She kills people with no mercy. And I mean it...KILL
Enjoyment-
for starters, the concept is really unique and so are the characters. It is fun to read. It’s not mandatory for you to read death note, to read Renai Boukun. It has its own set, plot and gags. This plot has a really good potential and only time will tell the outcome of this harem. the curiosity might keep you wanting fir more, at least, im curious to know the outcome, so far I enjoyed Renai Boukun.
Concept of KISS NOTE-
You may consider this as a spoiler, but if you want to know ONLY about the KISS NOTE you can read on
1. It’s used to link to couples.
2. The name have to be written with X in middle, like, GirisXSenji
3. If only a single name is written, Then that person has to kiss someone otherwise he/she will be a virgin for their entire life and the cupid will die
4. The couples whose name is written in the KISS NOTE will eventually get married in the future
Conclusion-
Though, the concept is fresh, there are some parts which have been used before. If you like reading shounen love mangas and need more to read, this is one for you, but hard core Death Note fans probably might not accept this concept. Again, if you welcome innovative stuff, you might as well as give this a try. Well, not much can be said because we have only 2 chapter’s scanlated so far and 5 out in Japan.
Verdit- As on 22/12/12
Too good, before i can say Awesome
8/10

I'm the first to review...oh well, i'll do my best to be good...lolz
Reasons to read Wasreyuki:
>Kill ur time during summer/ Like reading manga
>A fan of Amano Shinobu
>A really Fresh sweet story with no "taboo's"
"Wasureyuki" or to translate "Forget-it-all-snow" is a sweet one short by Amano Shinobu, famous for here work, last game. Its based upon brother-sister, with a very good twist in the end, unlike the usual brother-sister love stuff. Personally i was satisfied with the twist and turns, but the ending was something i never though would happen..something like the usual shojo stuff was what i expected...what happens, well, you find that out!
STORY:
The protagonist,
...
Tomo has always been taking care of his dependent sister Miyako ever since she was born. She being a clumsy girl, he always ha sto take care of her. In his words "forced" to take care of her. For half of his life, he has been with her, and gradually gets annoyed and terms this as his "hate". Simply, he Hates his own sister for being dependent. But are those his real feelings?. There comes a stage when they have to be apart from each other, would he be able to love and let go, all before it's too late? Will he face his real feelings. Waasureyuki is all about this sweet story or saga in Tomo's life.
ART:
Pretty neat. Nothing great, its just the usual art of Amano-sensei's. Very similar to her other works. But its still pretty for the story. Also the presentation of emotions for the particular scene is also nicely illustrated
CHARACTER:
Tomo, is a very arrogant or to be precise very harsh with his words. Most of the times he just brushes Miyako aways, but by heart he is quite soft. Miyako, on the other hand is very clumsy, maybe dumb too because all of Tomo's harsh words never hurt her. Just like a dog wangling back to his master..But its clear she loves her brother. side chara are also really nice, especially Tomo's friend.
ENJOYMENT:
Its a really fresh story and also a good read. If you like cute sweet stories, you are sure to like it. If not, why not try one?
PERSONAL TAKE:
Personally, i liked this story as its a bit more practical compared to other Brother-Sister story which involve many taboo's (love, attractions, x, stuff). Its a possible story but also has its own limits. I also liked Tomo's actions, as its really annoying to always help ur younger sibbling, but in a way we like helping each other our even if we don't mention it ^_^
OVERALL:
A lovely, touching story about a boy and the one most important to him.
Good Read

I'm the first one to do a review for this manga, so mostly its my personal opinion and description of the series~
so here goes~
"Aruitou" also translated as "Love moves Forward" (manga here) is a shoujo series with a cliched heroine. Many chapters of this series isn't available due to poor health of the Mangaka. wish a speedy recovery~ oh well, from the first chapter-
STORY:
Its has something which makes you curious, By curiosity i mean, the first scene is of the first guy climbing the hill and stuff, then introduction of many characters revolving a hyper-active girl . The main plot is not clear from just
...
the first chapter though~ but it sure looks like a love triangle- or maybe quadrangle!
ART:
the art is probably one reason i am looking forward to read this series. The characters and background is drawn really nicely~
CHARACTER:
since only one chapter has been released, there isn't much to write about.
There are 4 main characters. 3 guys and 1 girl, kuko-chan.She is somewhat a bit cliched and hyper-active~. kiyo is half foreigner and is really cute~ ou-chan is another guy majoring in arts and stuff. Probably he has a crush on Kuko.and lastly is another guy, who is kinda annoyed with things happening to him. the characters are set.
ENJOYMENT:
soo far, there isn't anything much, since only the stage has been set. The characters are yet to start the real drama. So far, its a good story to kill time with.
OVERALL
The stage is all set will 3 guys and a girl. What can probably happen? Thats keeping me to read this manga. Art is something to look forward to.
Overall Aruitou is a good read, to kill your time. At the least, for now. I am Keeping some expectations ahead. Hope it turns out to be a good read~

First of All, watch Jigoku Shoujo Mitsuganae if..
- You are JS or Ai Enma fan
- You have seen both the season, and want some 'hell-grudge' stuff
- You are not bored of people going to hell
Jigoku Shoujo Mitsuganae follows after the second season of the Jigoku shoujo Series. As spectacular the first and second season were, the third fails to appeal to that level. Even though this season has its own appeals, its not THAT great!
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
to elaborate:-
STORY
Basically, JS3 continues from the 2nd season. As the season starts Ai Enma doesn't have her body, so she passes judgement through the body of a girl, yuzuki. as
...
the same People are going to hell in lots! and thats 2 for no particular reason. if your hate is enough, even the innocent go to hell. that's particulraly happening here!! Yuzuki is able to see people going to hell, and helpless when she finds out the reality. She is later told to be the future Ai Enma, thtas her destiny (good cliche 4 Ai Enma LOvers).... so in the end,.. Ai enma is the life-saver and takes the burden on herself saving Yuzuki....
how? watch the series (that's if Ur curious enough)
The series has its own twist and turns but has tonnes of fillers filled in. i you skip those its almost a short series of 10-12 series, thats all!
ART and SOUND
The art is magnificent as ever. The animation has improved and is very appealing to the show.. at least that keeps you glued to the screen. Even the OST of the series is nice. the OP is good, but i prefer Snow's OP style as the have done in the previous series. the ending is also quite spooky.
CHARACTER
here is the new parts. Ai Enma has a new member,Yamawaro along with her three companions, Hone Onna, Wanyūdō, Ren and Kikuri. Yuzuki's part is dull, but her life is full of twist-turns. she has a past quite similar to Ai and is always connceted to the hell corresspondence website or to the people using it . and what else, new characters and new short stories in every episode. Intrestingly, Tsugumi Shibata, the daughter of the journalist in the first season has her apperance in the season and a vital role.
ENJOYMENT
Not as much as the previous seasons, but it still is entertaining is you like the entire concept and set-up. you get to see various emotions that tend people to send people to hell.
OVERALL
Being an JS fan, i enjoyed the season. i suggest you don't keep much expectation with the series, at least don't compare it with the previous seasons, to enjoy the season to its fullest. this season has its own stage set up, characters placed and concept running, just sit back and watch people going to hell for stupid and irrelevant reasons. Enjoy the wrap-up season of Jigoku shoujo becoz i don't think more will be coming!
i give, Jigoku Shoujo Mitsuganae- ******* stars!

" I ask of you, Are you my Master?"
Saber's words are still on my head as the First episode cuts on this line.
Yes, Fate/stay is a Really A-W-S-O-M-E Anime, whether you have seen Fate/stay Night or Not.
As everyone by now know, its a prequel to the super hit - Fate/Stay Night series.
After watching the first episode, here is my Viewpoint for FSZ
STORY:
i'm not good at this part so i'm taking a bit of help- (source- Wikipedia)
...
Fate/zero takes place 10 years prior to the events of Fate/stay night, detailing the events of the 4th Holy Grail War in Fuyuki City.[1] The War of the Holy Grail is a contest in which seven magi summon seven Heroic Spirits to compete to obtain the power of the "Holy Grail," which grants a miracle. After three inconclusive wars for the elusive Holy Grail, the Fourth War commences.
(detail synopsis- Wikipedia)
ART:
Really good! Also the animation is detailed and really fits in with the aura of the show. the lights and main entries of the characters is really cool!!!! The masters and servant pairing also seems to be a good for each team, as far as the first episode is concerned
SOUND:
Sound for FSZ is given by the great- Yuki Kajiura, (Also given for Tsubasa Chronicals) the theme is nice and catchy in come parts. the emotion of the situation is nicely known by the music- good work Yuki Kajiura-san !!
CHARACTER:
hum......... what to say...
well all the characters are just introduced, so there is nothing much i can write.
Kiritsugu Emiya is the center character and is a cool guy. his wife is really pretty. there is also a Mini Rin and Sakura who look so adorable. and skipping the goons, lastly is SABER!! yaya..... i'm really happy to see her. i'm a suber SABER fan! only a glipse of saber and the other heros are shown, but I'm eager to see some good Kick-ass fights!
ENJOYMENT:
you have to be with the story to enjoy the story. If you are a FSN fan, then you are going to enjoy this, as the story reveals the REAL logic, fights, and concepts of the HOLY GRAIL!
OVERALL:
9/10
The anime still loses 1 point, as it lacks little something..(even i don't know what!)
Still if you are a "Fate" lover, grab this one, or if you love super action, thrill and magic concepts, watch FSZ
Go catch the anime and enjoy the epic history of FSZ and hope to see some real Kick-ass fighting!!
(sorry if a messed up anywhere.! gomen^^)

Vampire Knights is the typical Vampire story with all blood stained love and unexpected crazy turns. well this is all my personal opinions as i am i pure shojo fan; here goes~
STORY:
Personally i feel Vampire Knights is a really good vampire story to start with. It has a sweet atmosphere and a good concept of creating a school where Vampires and Humans study in different time periods.. Coexistence of Vampires and Humans is a good thought, really nice one but as you go deep and deep into the story it getts totally messed up!!!! Its quite complicated. once you get an analogy (or you
...
can say history or past of a character) right you are lost in cracking another one!! The recent chapters (which follow after the anime) are complicated to understand! At least for me it is!
ART:
SUGOIII!!! thats WONDEFULL!
The art is very sweet and royal ,drawn by Matsuri Hino. Zero is really sexy and i mean it, super sexy! All the vampire hunks look kinda similar but never fail to look impressive. Hanabusa, Akatsuki ,Cross-san, Rima, Ichiru and the great boss- kaname are few characters i really like in art. a Some scenes are really sweet, but her narration on the story needs to improve for all dumb readers (like me!^0^) The blood thirsty scenes are drawn quite nice and the fights are impressive. No complains in drawings^^
CHARACTERS:
As far as the question of justice done to the roles is concerned, VK is in a good par. Many of the characters have significant roles unlike 'hero' oriented works. Yuuki is really irritating sometimes (personal thought ;O ) and recently Kaname is starting to get TOO complicated. Already a messed up story, some parts still don't strike me. Others are very nice parts, though! the sizzling Zero is getting much more SIZZLING!
ENJOYMENT!
hum...... Personally i am reading VK to see the outcome of this super-complicated-vampire-love-triangle. But if u are a try beast with fangs (VAMPIRE) lover, its a good entertainment. But if you are finding the typical SHOUJO content in this story, sorry but thats just a part of the large scale vampire twist.
OVERALL!!!!
VK gets an overall 6/10 from me. Its a good start but if Hino-san works on the style of narration, and tries to make the story anti-complicated then, the scores can go up! VK is not for hard-core shoujo lovers, as some points can disappoint you.Even though the twist-n-turns are great, the heart of a manga is the story. so my verdit is:~
ALL the BEAST-WITH-FANGS, GRAB THE KNIGHTS, OR ELSE JUST ADMIRE HINO'S ART AND STYLE!

When you say Special A, its one of the Shoujo and Super hilarious kinda anime!
But when you compare the same Special A with its original adaptation i.e. the manga, it has many points to work on:
{P.S. :Some points in this review is on the basis of S.A anime compared to S.A.manga }
STORY:
No doubt the story of S.A. is great and is narrated quite efficiently till a certain number of episodes, but towards the end it starts getting mixed up. The last episode, unfortunately, is not convincing enough and is all jumbled up! But if you want to enjoy a light laugh session, SA gives
...
u the same in abundance.
ART: ANIMATION
Compared to the art by Minami Maki, the anime artwork need a lot of help. The face and body animation composure is not proportional. the anime characters (leaving Kei), don't look appealing as they are in the manga. Akira looks really bad in the anime and the others look fairly OK(somehow i feel it)
SOUND:
the music is really classy and goes according to the mood. its like a typical shojo score !Quite nice music is given for the elite situations and the funny scenes.
CHARACTER:
All the chara have a great role and are drafted quite nicely. Kei and Hikari are very hilarious. Even the pairing of Akira and Tadashi is very kawaiiiiiiii (cute).(for somw reason i have taken a liking to them
