Anime Has often surprised me with the fact that how unpredictable it can really get. We often think to ourselves, that having watched so many shows, nothing can really surprise us anymore, But yet again, we are proved wrong with every new season. Take Fune wo amu for example, I never thought i will watch an anime about dictionaries, And yet I found myself loving it more and more. And now we have Ballroom, An anime which explores the world of ballroom dancing, A sport which is perhaps is one of the most peculiar one out there , and perhaps the most
...
elegant one too, And surprisingly makes it more interesting than you might really expect it to be.
Sports anime have existed pretty much since the beginning of the medium itself. From football to basketball, and even Shogi, We have seen almost all kind of games, And its not wrong to say that these anime, rather than the game, are now all about building the hype and adrenaline rush within the viewer, and keep them captivated. Welcome to ballroom explores the world of ballroom dancing, which as a sport is not really that well known to many, But Rather than just being all about the game itself, Ballroom is somehow able to bring out the true beauty of Dancing, Not as a sport, But more as a form of art. It also gives the competitive vibe of the game as we would expect from any other sport anime.
Now,When it comes to the story, Sports anime are not really known for their story lines. Of course we have seen sport anime, with some pretty amazing storylines, But as mentioned before, Many of them are really all about sports, Which is not really a bad thing. Ballroom also offers little in this department, What we see is the generic run off the mill plot line that we we have really seen a hell lot of a times before. But, what really differentiates a good sport anime from other genre of anime, is that how it overcomes the lack of a proper story line , by offering the viewer something more than that, That is , The real excitement of the game itself.
The anime can be simply broken down into two parts here, The first one is more focused towards Tatara, The MC, as a a learner, who is slowly trying to grasp the concept of dancing . He is just a newbie who is learning , and is not someone you will refer to as a good dancer. The second half on the other hand is about how overcomes his weaknesses and learns more about himself . How he also tries to prove himself as a worthy dancer and built his identity in this world of dancing.
Characters, universally are known as the most important part of any anime , However, In such anime, their role is of much more importance than others. Ballroom shows The conflicts, self doubt, excitement, and of course, the anxiety, that the Characters hide behind their smiling faces on the stage.
The main character Tatara, has been struggling to find his purpose in life, more than anyone, he wants to prove his talents to the world, but is confused about how to do so, And he finds His own way in this world of Dance. He still is new to the world of dancing, and really has no special talent for doing it either. But he still works hard to become the very best and most of all, he is portrayed a strong willed and determined person and not as a wimp. However, It doesn't hide the fact that he is really just a generic character that we might have seen before . However, as mentioned before, it is the second half from where things change. Introduction of Chinatsu is The most important part of the second half, As she is not just the new partner of Tatara, But a person who completely changes him and also the world around him. She is much like a tomboy, who uses harsh words , but cares about Tatara more Than anyone else. She is an experienced dancer herself, But her inability to become a partner makes her really no different from Tatara, With is inexperience in leading. And This mismatched combo is perhaps The best part of the entire show itself
Now, talking about characters, we should also see that the other characters are not overshadowed in any way, In fact they actually shine out the most in the first half of the show, quite literally. Both the girls, Mako and shizuka, have played important roles in the development of Tatara as dancer. They have both played as his partners and have been major part of the story. Sengoku san served as his mentor and have taught him everything he knows. These other characters do have played major roles, but just in support of Tatara, That is for the most part, and we do not really get to see a lot about them, But as said there presence is not overshadowed. In fact, one of my most favorite parts of the show was the Mako Tatara solo, in which Mako was the main presence and she quite literally shone beautifully like a flower.
Like other Sports anime, Ballroom also brings along with it , some in depth trivia and facts about the sport. It just shows us how watching people dance and actually being on the stage is completely different experiences. .It also goes a bit deeper by showing us the psychological battles that these people go through while on the stage, The anime shows how much does an actual person goes through when on a stage, The split second decisions and of course To maintain The focus on the partner. But more than that, It shows the true happiness These people feel while on the stage. Honestly, The show does and excellent job of portraying all these complex feelings of these people, without being too forceful with it.
Now when we talk about dance, music is something which naturally comes to our minds along with it, So as one would think in such anime music of course would play in important role. Now Both the Op are very good in my opinion, They tend to be fast paced and built the excitement within the viewer. The music played within the scenes, That is during the dance routines, is somewhat overshadowed, Now the anime is focused on dance, but music is as important, The anime uses different styles of music and effects for different dance routines, however the music sometimes, just tends to get a bit overshadowed, which is not really good. Both the ED are also pretty fine, Tho second one is my favorite.
The art, I guess, is just pretty average. The anime uses a bright color palette , Which fits quite well with the series, But there is really nothing special heer, That is , until the things get on the stage. The beautiful animations during the dance literally make the characters and music , come to life. The smooth movement, the Beautiful special effects just makes things even more beautiful. The character design is also pretty fine, but thins get real when they are on stage, The facial expressions they make are more than enough to convey their satisfaction and happiness. Overall, The art section is really well done .
Now dance is something which we would expect to see in a sports anime, But don't let that fact deceive you, Because this show is nothing less than any other sport show out there. Its fast paced, beautifully animated and gets you excited and makes you wish for even more. It is something everyone should experience once. It shows something like dance, which we might not really think of often, in a way we would never expect. It does have its flaws, however, in total, Its an enjoyable ride, that everyone should try.

Often There comes a show which we find ourselves enjoying more and more by the passing episode, But when asked, we find it difficult to describe in words, that what is it that we actually like about it. It is something most of us experience and, it all just might feel weird , to like something without a reason. The same had happened with me while watching this anime,I am not really sure why, Maybe it was the characters, the story, the music, or rather the entire show itself, however, in the end, It doesn't really matter, as long as one enjoys whatever they are
...
watching.
The anime, net juu no susume, starts off as a MMORPG parody, with some generic elements and run off the mill jokes, However, slowly the game theme starts to fade away, to a point where it seems like a side aspect , But in return, what we get to see later is a show, with one of the finest pace of story progression and character development we've seen in a while. The anime starts with a "person", starting a new life, and not a one you would expect, but rather an Online one. She uses games, not as a means to escape reality, but rather to reject it, to a point where it fades away to almost nothing. However, the world around that her begins to change due to a string of coincidences, which you might call fate, that slowly amalgamate both her online and offline lives together to a point, where both of them just seem unreal to her, and to a certain extend, to us too.
Neet is a term which is gaining more an more popularity in anime, This is clearly evident in most of the recent anime we have been receiving. Of course, it is not a good idea to just sit around at home all day doing nothing, but secretly, its somthing that most of us desire to do, and this desire within us is what makes us relate to these people. The main character, Morioka san, is also a neet, who has left her job in private sector and now dedicates her full time in playing RPGs and making new friends online. The interesting part is how she plays as a male character in the game, and some people despite knowing this, treats her as a normal person and not a freak, which comes to show the acceptance and etiquette of the internet. The show focuses on how she , by meeting new people, is able to come out of her shell and becomes a more social and active person in the society, which in other words means how she recovers from her neet behavior.
Now, It has become quite common to see young high school characters in most anime, especially romance, who have no experience in life and behave like dimwits whose lives are a tragedy. Net juu no susume offers a more mature and sensible cast of characters whose approach to life and the events that happen, are more realistic and makes sense. We see the characters behave in realistic way and not like dimwits , and this is also a major appeal of the anime and also reason for the smooth progression of the story.
Much like Morioka, sakurai is shown as a person with his own problems, despite having a job and friends, he is actually more similar to Morioka san than anyone else. Both are portrayed as MMO junkies who are fed up of their routine and escape off into a world of RPG to relieve themselves. Its also funny how both of them are more closer to one another , than they realize. And as the story progresses, They find that they are tied by a string of fate. The other characters are also not cast aside and the have a pretty well developed personality to show and a good role to play. Characters like Koiwai, Kanbe have provided with a help to both parties in improving the relationship with the other. Honestly, I was also not a fan of Koiwai, because he is pushy and just a big jerk. But, still he was the major reason in bringing Morioka san close to sakurai, And the real reward is when you watch the last episode and realize how far they have reached from just being strangers, It still surprises me, or rather it shows the real power of online games, and how they are able to bring strangers more closer to each other than one can imagine
Its actually these shows, which truly highlight the role played by good characters in an anime and which kind of impact they can have, even on a not so well written story line. The rate of development and character building has been really perfect since the fist episode. Through small encounter, to exchanging email , to going drinking, and finally just getting even more closer , The development being done is something which surprises me the most. Its all too fast and yet seems natural . It truly shows how much we can achieve , in very amount little episodes.
The MMORPG, as I alredy mentioned, is not exactly the main focus of the anime, especially for the later half, however it has also not been completely ignored. We can see some good parody elements just being thrown around casually, Like the Loot box episode. Also we should see that, It is the Game only which started it all and was a major portion of the story development at first. The MMORPG theme in total here, is used really well to be honest, it has not overshadowed the anime but is also not got overshadowed itself or we can say that it was simply used in the most appropriate way .
The art is something I usually don't talk about, as it is quite subjective in itself. From my point of view, The art is pleasant and simple with a good use of cooler color palette , which is pleasing to eyes. The music is very simple and elegant, More than the OP, i am a bigger fan of the ed. It closes up everything very well and is a good way to wrap up things, but Other than that , there is nothing special in the art and music part.
Overall, The anime is surprisingly well made and it is much better than what u would expect it to be. It seemed to me as a very generic and simple show at first, but soon it exceeds my expectations and becomes a show which I would look forward to every friday. From the well developed characters to a good story line, almost everything about it is perfect which ,in my eyes, makes it worthy of the score i have given, And also Sakurai and Morioka san are one of the cutest pair you will ever see in anime. Its something everyone should experience at least once, because It will exceed your expectation, more than you would expect it to

Ever since my childhood, one of few things which intrigued me the most is these weird visions i had during my sleep, that is, dreams. Its quite funny that we don't know what has been in stored for us be fore we sleep, and what had happened after we woke up, even though everything just took place inside our heads. Hirune Hime (napping Princess) , the movie in question, Also tried to explore this concept of dreams in a interesting way, But unfortunately failed at properly executing the idea.
Well, Before watching it, I really had no idea what the movie is going to be about,
...
But after the curtains dropped, I have to say, I still have no idea what it was about.Honestly, I had really high hopes from the movie, given that its made by the director of ghost in the shell, BUt i was really disappointed with the result. The major problem is that, The movie lacked direction. It had a promising start, But it just scatters off in all directions afterwards. The movie tried to showcase a mix of different genres, but it failed at doing so properly and the way everything happens, you couldn't really take anything that happened seriously.
The Movie itself is quite ambitious. It tries to explore quite a variety of genres and had a unique way of story telling. It made quick transitions from reality to dreams , resulting in a change of scenario in between the scenes but the way of progression of the events was still the same. And all of this could have resulted in something good, if it was not for the poorly written story.
The story can get difficult to describe, Its a mix a different things unrelated things mixed in a hog-pog manner. It follows kokone, a high school girl who sees this weird dream every day where she is the princess of a world of cars. Her father is a genius mechanic who was arrested for false charges and now in the process of saving him, she discovers the truth about him and her dead mother and how her dreams are not just her mere imaginations. Also in the background, another story is taking place in a different world, which is in kokone's head. The events that take place are mostly same in both of them, but the other one is more a fantasy based world with magic. Occasionally, Both worlds come together, Tho things still happen inside the girls dreams . They try to bring together both of them by the climax, and to be honest, that part was still good.
Honestly ,The beginning part was not half bad and I kinda Liked it. It gave a vivid description of the unique world of kokone's dreams and also a bit about her normal life. The things were also going fine till the airport part, but from there the movie started to scatter around and I just couldn't bring myself to enjoy the rest . However the little transitions between dreams and reality were still really fine and it was also an interesting way to show scenes which, otherwise would have been very plain .
The characters are yet another weak link here. They are really plain and are mostly one dimensional and there is no development,Tho this part can be overlooked . Most characters do not have well defined personality and do not really fit the roll they are doing. The antagonist, for example, is just very poorly made with no clear motives and a stupid personality And so can be said for Morio. Despite having a major part, he pretty much seems useless and I am still not sure for what reason he was there in the movie anyways. The father is also a bland character, There is nothing special about his personality or there is rather pretty much nothing to say about him . Kokone is simple girl in her last year of high school and is planning to go to a university in Tokyo . However she also has a secret life, The one in her dreams, where she is a princess of a country and has magical powers thorough which she fights wit the bad people along with a pirate. There is not really much to praise or complain about her character,Tho I quite like her, for some reason.
One of my favorite parts was the ending credits, where they showed the past of kokone's mother and father and also how they met. The few scenes shown were enough to convey a lot about their history, and also song was great too.
I don't usually talk a lot about art style, as, the opinions vary for different people. The color palette is made of solid colors. and is quite bright . It fits really well and creates a good atmosphere during the transitions to the fantasy world. The animation is fine for most part, but there are a some visible inconsistencies and its not really fluid either, But to be honest, I can overlook that, as it is not really prominent. The character design is good and I don't really have any complains. The ending theme, "daydream believer" is extremely well done and I really like it. Tho it would have been better if it was played during the scenes too.
In conclusion, The movie is quite different from what you might expect it to be. Its not bad and had a promising start, but it couldn't really hold that for for long. The way things happen is a result of poor writing and execution of ideas. Most of it is pretty forgettable and there is not really a lot to praise it for.It is also that, I had some good expectations from the movie during the start, and it didn't really stand up to my expectations, and it might not be as bad As I make it out to be.So,Just don't really go in with high expectations, You might not like then. Also this movie is not something i would really recommend to people unless you have absolutely noting else to watch.

Now, its no secret that the Japanese people love their high school anime. This can be easily seen in the fact that every season, more than 40% of the shows are related to high schools. This is also a fact that school has been one of the most cliched genres. However its also true that every once in a while, we do receive shows that have something out of the ordinary and can be described as interesting and fortunately enough for us, this show too falls in the later category.
The Classroom of Elites is an anime produced by studio Lerche and is based off
...
the light novel of the same name. At first this show had the vibe of orgairu , with a loner protagonist and an antisocial female lead , However ,as the story progresses ,one will realize that the show is skillfully hiding its true colors and is rather dark and has many hidden themes and unique characters which makes it different that most other shows. Also the show skillfully completely shatters the idea of the normal education system seen in many other high school shows, and shows a completely new system where rather than grades, you need other skills to survive and also how you need to play dirty with others to reach to the top. It is actually a representation of the true face of today's society .
As I already said, The characters here are actually the key element of the show and most of them have more than one dimension . Many characters seem to have a different personality than what they show to everyone. The protagonist on the surface might seem like a average guy with average grades and he doesn't stand out much. But watching the show will make you realize that there is a lot more to him than meets the eyes. He is extremely strong, both academically and physically and has an unexplained dark past but he tries to hide all of his skills in order to not stand out and lead a peaceful life. Horikita, The female lead has a more linear personality, She doesn't have friends and nor is interested in having one .She is also determined to get promote to class A , tho she has realized that it would be impossible without aynokoji's help .The side characters also have very diverse personalities and no two people have same personality. Like kushida ,who tho seems to be friendly and kind ,actually has a very dark and sadistic personality which not many are aware of. The characters here represent the dual faced nature of the society and how people misguide other for their benifits. For example ayanokyoji's character clearly represents the type of people who use others as tools and manipulate them.
The show is also more of a unique take on the genre and the system of schools and it also covers many dark themes , like discrimination and inequality in the society and also things like social hierarchy which is not many anime, especially ones like this cover . The different characters also represent different types of people and personalities in the society .The pace of progression of the story is somewhat irregular as the things were going very smoothly during the first half, tho during the second half , the show seemed to have slowed down a bit with little interesting or major events . The order of the events and pace of character development and also character relationships had been altered and were really different from the source material. The Music of the show is great. The op is really well done and it creates a hype for the episode and the ed is nice and slow paced which smoothly ends the entire episode. The animation is also pretty fine and the art style is great (especially those eyes).
The D class is full of characters with great potential but were still thrown in garbage due to their defectiveness. Almost everyone has a certain element of defect which holds them from getting a better class. They are shown to have a normal face on the cover, but deep inside many of them have a twisted personality which they don't want anyone to find out, Ayanokyoji for instance, perhaps has the most twisted personality as he views people as tools and is ready to sacrifice anything for his gain, and is good at manipulating others. People like Hirata and Kushida also have a dark personality which is rarely seen and is not known by anyone.
One of the major plus points is the treatment of the characters. The show actually treats the characters well and they also have certain level of sensibility in them, which is sadly not seen in most other shows. On many occasions we can see people actually putting their brains to analyse the situations and not just go with the flow ,And this actually stops various moments from becoming cliches . best example is when ayanokoji was asked to pretend to be ichinose's boyfriend. Tho one major problem is that there are there are too many characters and most focus is given to only a few ones and others are not given enough time, so all this prevents many of them to get the screen time they deserve. But there are various ones who easily caught my eye , without even having been shown more than once or twice. Also the show still has various plot holes and mysteries and there is a lot of potential for a season 2, however we can't really be sure about such things.
Overall, This show is not for everyone. There are many like me who would enjoy it but also this new concept is not suited for everyone. To me this show feels fresh and is seems different from most of the other high school anime. The characters are truly remarkable and the story is good enough to keep the viewers interested. All characters are memorable and interesting, especially the protagonist. The show also covers various themes about the society and shows the dual faced nature of the people. And for everyone who are not bothered by the feel of this anime, All of these things combined together makes for a great 12 episode watch, and makes you crave for even more.

What is the strangest ,most unsettling and one of the strongest desires in this entire world. It is the feeling of hunger.... hunger for good food. It is interesting to see how this feeling of hunger can change people's mind drastically. This hunger can make people do any and everything...no matter who it is.. a salaryman or a beast .
The anime "Isekai Shokudou" is a bout a western cuisine restaurant , Nekoya , which seems to be a regular restaurant , serving normal food to people all day, six days a week. But there is a secret. During a weekend, the restaurant
...
becomes a eatery for customers from different worlds and races... serving them the same regular food, which on the other hand is somewhat exotic for the non human customers.
This anime shows how a person... be it a human or a beast, is ready to throw away his pride and sit in front of the table , just to enjoy a good meal. Its also about how its is just a single bowl of good food required to win a person's heart.
All of The characters are really good and likable. Besides the main cast, it is also interesting to watch all the different customers and realize how despite being from a different race... behave so much like humans when it comes to food. The setting and all the characters together make it a really enjoyable and heartwarming story.
The Art , being done by silver link, is really beautiful and color palette also matches the theme of the story. The character design is also pretty near but also feels somewhat bland and generic... tho is still not bad. The music... is just amazing ... the OP and Ed are really good and one just doesn't simply skip them.
In conclusion, The anime is actually good. The concept of the show is really interesting.. but with just 4 eps out as of now, there is not a whole i can say about. The show treats all its characters really well with respect which is not something we often see. I would really recommend this show to everyone one if u haven't tried it already.

In the past years , the romance genre has seen many changes and most of the recent shows we have seen are just mere copies of one another with loads of repeating cliches. And for that, i must really appertiate this show for actually bringing back the romance genres to its true roots and showing what it is really about.
Tsuki ga kire is an original anime made by studio feel which follows mizuno Akane and Azumi kotaoru , two 3rd year middle school students who fell for each other in first sight and starting dating. Its a sweet and innocent anime about 2 people
...
experiencing love for the first time.
The characters make this anime a interesting and fresh experience . They show a somewhat awkward and shy behavior around each other and are really embarrassed to even talk face to face and use a phone to have conversations. They are not really sure how the love and dating works and sometimes relay on internet for solutions. This behavior is uncommon in most anime tho TBH this might be as close they can get to the reality.
The anime doesn't have a really strong story or a lot elements which might spice things up. Chinatsu and Takumi had crush on both the main characters.. Tho there really wasn't a strong feeling of jealousy and you might not even realize that for most of the anime. However that really is not a big issue here as it doesn't hold back the anime from being what its is now.
The art is somewhat of a big issue here. The anime uses CGI for a lot of scenes like the backgrounds and crowd characters which unfortunately is not done really good. The studio got lazy with character design and recycled the same face multiple times with just the hairstyle changed. The Music is fine with nothing to praise or complain about.
IN the end, its a simple, cute, and innocent tale of young love between two students. The anime is simple , but not bland or boring and shows the romance ,we've seen so far in other anime, in a different and fresh way. I would easily recommend this show to every fan of romance shows for its a fresh tale that is not really seen much nowadays.

siblings
a word used to describe the beautiful relationship shared by two people , who are bound the mutual feeling of love and respect. But can this unconditional love develop into something past this sibling bond? Perhaps not ... in real life.. but hey its an anime .. that too a one written by Tsukasa Fushimi( yes, the one who wrote oreimo) so we can expect somthing out of the oridinary... right?
So, Eromanga sensei is an anime based on a Light novel of the same name written by, as i mentioned before, Tsukasa fushimi. Now you must have known bout this guy because of
...
his previous work, Oreimo... and don't get me wrong , I am a Big fan of Oreimo, its one of my favorite Light novels of all time. But even I am not sure why would
he write such a trash for his next work.
Now, the story follows Isumi masamune, a high schooler who is also secretly a Light novel author. He lives alone with his 12 year old S-T-E-P sister, who is a hikikomori doesn't come out of her room. The illustrations for his novels are done by a artist named "Eromanga Sensei", and as his nme suggests.. he is famous for drawing erotic illustrations.. tho refuses to acknowledge the fact. So one day , through one of his live streams , Eromanga sensei's identity was revealed to Masamune.. and guess who was it ... It was his little sister Sagiri( woo.. i would've never guessed that). He also meets various other light novel authors and, surprisingly all of them are High schoolers (because... anime). We then follow a story which seems to go nowhere and has all the cute girls falling for masamune for no reason but he still want his sister..( because ...anime)
Now, I think that that characters are the best... or rather the least worst thing in the anime. The main protagonist, Masamune is a part time light novel author and a full time siscon and wishes to go full time on both. Jokes aside, he is one of the generic dense characters with no personality at all but he has a talent for writing.. tho most of his work gets rejected. Thus he has very low self esteem but has a believe that one day he will make money out of writing and can support his sister independently .He really isn't a bad character and also has a strong sense of responsibility in him tho he still is dense as fuck.
Sagiri..... Now this character was quite popular for being extremely cute and moe... but fuck.. i don't like her.She is one the worst female leads i have ever seen. Besides being cute, i can't think of a many good thing about her.. she is somewhat of a tsundere and has a brat like personality.. she knows that masamune loves her but still acts this way towards him ( but i guess thats how tsundere are) . She is good at drawing erotic illustrations ( hmm.. a 12 year old loli drawing lewd illustrations... seems legit) and she also has a weird fetish for looking at other at other girl's panties.. but she can't leave her room so orders her Nii-san to do it.She speaks really soft and needs to use a mike for speaking to people. And tho both she was even confessed by masamune... she rejected him for some reason and now .. when she actually starts to like him.. she wants him to confess to her and doesn't want to say it herself. Trust me i Can't ship them.. i just can't.
Yamada elf was a really interesting character and TBH my favorite in the entire anime. She is a famous light novel author who started living next door to masamune. At first she was bit brat like... but later her attitude changed when she befriends masamune and they start spending a lot of time togather. She is really passionate when it comes to writing and often gives tips to masamune too. She eventually falls for him and even confesses to him in episode 9...(watch that episode.. you'll love her .. trust me)
Tho masamune really likes her but he says he is in love with sagiri so he can't reciprocate her feelings. Muramasa is another light novel author who has sold around 10 million copies. She says that she was inspired by masamune for writing and doesn't care about her sales and just wants to write for fun. She also loves masamune and had confessed to him.... ho was rejected.
The art of the series is really good.( as expected of A1) . But they really got lazy when it came to character design. most of the characters seem like a cheap copy of the ones in oreimo (might be because the illustrator was same for both series). The sound track is pretty OK with really nothing to praise or complain about.
In the end... Eromanga sensei is really a crappy series with little to no good points. The story is just shit.. most of the characters are too. TBH i was a big fan of Oreimo and had a lot of expectations from this series and it turned out to be like this. I would not really recommend this series to anyone unless you are really big fan of moe.. but still i don't think you will like anyways. But hey.. at least its STEP sister this time.

Let me tell you all a story.. " once there was a delinquent boy.. who got expelled from school and had to join a new school which was being dominated by girls and they all wanted to straighten him up but ended up falling for him... THE END". Ever heard of something like this.. ya i know . So this pretty much sums up the entire anime and almost very other harem anime nowadays. This show here is nothing but a sorry excuse of a harem anime with almost no originality and is full of shitty cliches that would make no sense. You would rather
...
wonder about why are the children even allowed use swords and whips in school .
Armed Girl's Machiavellism is anime based on the manga of same name and is made by LINDElFILMS. Now the studio is known for making some great harem like Yamada kun and the seven withes but TBH even i am not sure why they would make such anime anime now. The story follows Fudo Nomura, strong delinquent who was expelled from his school for engaging in a fight where he defeated almost 40 people, and now he studies at Private Aichi Symbiosis Academy which is ruled by a group of girls called 'Supreme 5 Swords" whose mission is to correct out all the boys after the school became co-ed.He is really skilled when it comes to fighting and has a lot of knowledge about various martial art styles. He even has his own orignal technique called " Magic Bullet" through which he can defeat almost anyone with just a single touch. All the members of supreme swords wanted to defeat Nomura but instead ended up defeated and for some reason they all fell for him (don't ask me why).
Now , the protagonist might be the only character who is somewhat bearable in the entire show. Almost every girl presents a pretty bad impression and their is personalities are also unbearable at some points. Rin, who is the leader of the group, fought against Nomura and somehow accidentally ended up kissing him and later on developing a crush on him. Their interaction in the beginning seemed promising but later on she turned out to be violent girl with a tsundere personality. And introducing girls like tamaba, warabi and tsukuyo just shows how they threw up almost all the generic character tropes in the show without any proper sense.
Another major character in the show is the Empress also known as Amo. At start of the series she was shown to be the strongest delinquent in the school who even the supreme swords couldn't handle . She had a extremely violent bitch like personality who would kill anyone for almost no reason. But later it was revealed that she was in love with nomura and was a yandere personality and would kill anyone who would come between them... even Nomura .
Now i would praise the anime for doing a good job when it came to martial arts. They did well in explaining the techniques and arts used in show and the fights seemed to make some sense. But hey! an anime where even a bear does martial arts.. now that might be something you Have to see.
Now after watching the entire series the only question which came in my mind was.. Just why. Why even create such a thing ? watching this made me feel that the creators were not even sure where they were going with this thing. They just threw up almost everything that came in their mind with worrying about it making even a bit of sense. There is no memorable character or dialogue whatsoever and most of the characters are almost unbearable to watch. The setting is also nothing special, just a simple High school where for some reason everything including swords, whips, bears , blades are totally allowed but a boy wanting to enjoy his freedom is not.
Now THB there's nothing much to say about the art . It might as well be the only good thing in the anime. The character design is also pretty generic with nothing to praise or complain about. The sound track is also pretty good, The op Builds up some hype for a good fast paced hardcore action anime.... which unfortunately this show is not. The battle music is nothing good or original either but fits there anyways.
Now in the end... this show is nothing good . Its not exactly really bad either and you might even find it decent if you are a fan of such kind of shows but I can't bring myself to like this show. There is no originality or even a good plot. The characters are just generic and boring , and their interactions also felt somewhat cheesy and the jokes don't do much either. So I would not really recommend this show to everyone, but you can still watch it to find if it really is all that bad as I said it is. And ya... why are the swords allowed in the school?

Reading Gamers had me go through a trip of nostalgia and made me remember the time when i was a little brat who would rush home everyday from school just to play games and i am also sure that many of would be able to relate to this as well. This is also a story about people like us, Gamers, whose lives are revolving around "games"
Now , the story part is actually a bit interesting. If i describe the plot of this anime in a few words , it would be .... MotherfuckingClichedPieceofShit . Yes, the story is nothing but a random mix of
...
cliches . It follows Amano keita , a lonely gamer with no friends , who for some reason is invited by the school idol ,Tendo Karen, to join the Gamers club . Tho he rejects her offer.. she becomes interested in him and eventually falls in love with him. The other protagonist could be Uehara Tasuku , who can be described a more social and improved version of Keita. He becomes friends with keita and wants to have fun with the romcom of tendo and amano , tho this usually doesn't go as planned .
Well there is one interesting thing that the viewpoint character keeps switching between Amano and Uehara ... due to which we are able to see the same event through 2 different perspective , which makes the cliches seem somewhat interesting.
The characters is where the real charm of this book lies. For me , it was easy to relate to the protagonist Amano... infact i could say he is a reflection of my past. He is a loner who is not particularly good at many things but what makes him good is the love he has for his hobby and also his strong morals. He has low self esteem but his personality completely changes when it comes to gaming . Tho he rejected the gamers club invitation, he actually holds a lot of respect for it and also for Tendo and has a crush on her.. tho he is too shy to even talk to her .
Uehara tasuku is a former loner gamer who has worked hard to change his life after entering High school and now he has a lot of friends and a cute girlfriend too. He can be considered to be the opposite of Amano.. Tho they still are good friend and he also hold a lot of respect for him too. He wants to help amano to talk to Tendo san so that he can have some fun out of there Romcom.
Tendo is the school idol and the president of gamers club. She was initially friendly with amano , but becomes a Tsundere after she falls for him. Hoshinomori is another loner gamers who is pretty much a female version of Amano , but is still on bad terms with him. Aguri is Uehara's Girlfriend who is jealous because Uehara starts spending more time with other Girls and seeks the help of Amano to get uehara's attention .
There is nothing much to say about the art of book . It is pretty fine tho nothing special . I was really not impressed the character design too ... but then again its just my opinion
So in the end, Gamers is just a story about various people who share a coomon hobby of gaming and is filled with various cliches and misunderstandings , but is still a fun read. The pros of this book lies int the fact that people can actually relate to most characters in the story due to which would highly recommend people to read this.

In the modern world, Its not easy to live a decent life. You don't get a good life, you earn it yourself . Having job is not an option but a necessity . No matter who you are.. a middle aged man, a young man,a boy, or even the demon king..you need money . And our friend Maou here is no exception either ,as After escaping from a loosing battle in his world , He finds himself in this weird world called "Earth" and now needs to work as employ in a burger joint to conquer the world, Or rather to be
...
able to get a meal for tonight.
The story might start of in the midst of a gruesome war between humans and demons, for the land of "Ente Isle".and of course With a lot of blood being shed and people being killed, however the way things progress, might just make you forget that something like this even happened.
So, the story itself is not really great .Even though things start good , It has little to offer beyond that . The book doesn't have a grand plot with lot of mysteries and plot twist. In fact, for the most part you yourself would keep wondering, what the book is even about. The plot progression and development are extremely slow, and at some points even non existent . But good thing is that the book realizes that and does not really the story part too seriously. The author knows the true strength of the book and focuses on what is important, that is the characters.
Its quite difficult to describe the character line up of devil is a part timer. All of them seem to have a certain charm about them and they fit the overall theme perfectly. Take the protagonist for example, The reader knows that he is demon king who had tried to rule the land of ente isle in the past, However his actions and behavior now, actually makes one wonder about his true motives. He acts, or rather, becomes a good, respectable and law abiding citizen and the only reminder of his true past is the constant complaining of Emi, the hero. The book shatters the image of demons we had in our mind and portrays them as something completely different.
The book , as mentioned before, is more of a character driven story and thus the plot progresses very slowly with very little development in each volume. But on the other hand, The author gives a lot of time on developing the characters ,And as we progress further, one notices some major changes in the personality and behavior of some characters, yes i am referring to Emi. However , none of it seems to be forced or rushed, but it rather feels more natural. For instance, Emi's hostile and violent behavior towards the demons changes to a more friendly and caring one, and the way all this happens , actually makes sense and is understandable.
There is also good time and effort given to developing relation between the characters . The relation between Emi and Maou was exteremely tense and they hated each other from the bottom of their hearts. However, through various small events, their relationship improved slowly and it has reached a point where the both have some level of mutual attraction towards each other ,and who knows, they might even become a couple. However, equal attention is given to other characters and relations as well, Like the relation between Ashiya and Rika also slowly develops , but its still something far from being romance. But, that is understandable as its not a romance story.
Now, its very difficult to describe the art and character design of the book. In one word, i would say its "cute". The illustrations are colorful, attractive and adorable. The character look nothing like what you would expect mythical creatures to be, and that in fact, fits the real theme all too well. They rather seem to be more attractive and adorable, especially Alas=Ramus, who just might be the cutest thing you will ever see in your entire life.
In conclusion ..its a good book with one of the most charming cast of characters. It has somewhat of a week plot, but the characters easily make up for that. There also some action, but its very plain and not really the focus of the story. There are moments when things get serious but overall , its really lighthearted .The plot progression is really slow and it might turn off many people who like more fast paced stories. But overall, I really enjoyed the book and it is something i would easily recommend to both newcomers and veterans of Light Novels.
