I feel like this anime is so underrated and so unknown i felt compelled to make a review, even though it will not change much. Even if I just make 1 person watch this show, I will consider this review a total success.
Medalist is a show that revolves around ice skating, and it seems like it does a great job depicting it from what some experts and people with experience that have watched it say. performances. Even if you do not care at all about the sport, trust me, Medalist is worth and by the end of a couple of episodes you will be enjoying and caring about it.
So why does this happen? Why watch an anime about something you might never cared about? Because it touches your soul. So few animes are able to make you laugh, cry, root for the characters like this one. It is not a cheap tear jerker, i have watched lots of them and at this point, it is not easy for me to get moved by a fictional work. This one is different. The direction, the shots, the camera work, the voice actors (can only speak for the original japanese ones), the plot....the PASSION in general that Medalist overflows is something that needs to be reckoned.
If you want to enjoy something beautiful and emotional, please, give this anime a shot, I beg you. The great story and characters the author of the original work have created and the dedication and love the studio of the anime adaptation has proven deserve so much more recognition.

Only 4 episodes have been aired so far while i am writing this review but i want to make justice to this overlooked hidden gem.
it is so nice to watch, so cute, so sweet and most of all, so fun and entertaining i cannot understand why this show has such a low rating. Do not trust the overall score on MAL, this is better than most romance animes from this season which are getting way more praise and attention than this one. Also it is easy to watch, since the episodes are like 11-12 minutes long, it gets to the point and it is not

a bad thing.
For now i give it an 8, considering i usually rate lower than most people, it is a very good score. Could be higher when i finish the whole thing. Take this more like a recommendation than a review itself, this show deserves some love and, above all, some recognition and justice. If you like romance and a heartwarming experience, watch it.

it has been more than a decade since i did my 1st and only review so far, but i need to get this out of my chest: wind breaker sucks. and it sucks big time.
Reasons:
1 Sooooo boring. It feels like nothing is at stake. Watching it is more like a chore.
2. Plot. i feel like there is 0 tension. I could summarize the whole season in 1 minute and i am not even kidding. NOT INTERESTING IN THE SLIGHTEST
3. characters. holy shit the main character is awful and plain. they thought it was a good idea to make him the MOST obvious tsundere of all

time. i actually like tsundere characters but holy damn the mc is in another whole level. Also id say tsundere type doesnt work at all when it is the mc we are talking about, he is really annoying and cringeworthy during these moments. And i cant forget about the main antagonist of the season, the crazy type i have seen in other series. REALLY similar to Luck from Black clover. well it is basicly him but they tried to give him some kind of motivation and background and i gotta say it is pretty bad. really hard to try to connect and understand this guy. rest of the cast is okay i guess, but these 2 are so bad and so pivotal through the season, you cant just justify the rest of the decent cast of background characters.
The animation. I hate this anime because of this even more. It is beautiful, more than a couple of fights have the best choreographic fights i have seen in a long time. I am not even kidding, they are stunning, even better than most top shonen animes you may think of. And it specially hurts because this anime is soooo bland and boring. why put this huge effort and talent in this below average series, i cannot believe it.
Conclusion : a beautiful cake that is hollow inside and even tastes bad

Code Breaker was probably one of the animes i had more faith to be good when it came out. Well i can say it didnt fulfill my expectations.
Probably the worst aspect of the anime is the characters, specially the female protagonist. She is just annoying with a ridiculous sense of justice, and probably its one of the characters in any anime with more repetitive dialogue. I swear i have heard her yelling "oogami-kun!" (the male protagonist name) like 20 times in each episode followed by the sentence "dont kill him" or "dont do this" or similar stuff. Anyone that has watched the fighting scene between

Ichigo and Grimmjow in Bleach will remember how annoying Orihime was by repeating non-stop "kurosaki-kun", well, the girl from code breaker is far worse and she does it in every chapter of the 13. The rest of the characters are kinda meh, nothing to say about them, they are not as annoying and the girl but they dont add much, even the male protagonist is a meh character, he's just a cool guy who kills bad people, he doesnt even talk too much.
The story is really non-sense. to be fair the premises arent bad, some people with incredible powers erradicating evil. its not great but its ok. But the thing that makes the story so bad is the plan of the villain and why he is trying to do such evil thing. i dont want to spoil anything to anybody, but i will just say it is retarded. he is trying to obtain something by doing actions that doesnt make any sense and even if he succeded in his plan i am not able to understand or grasp how it would benefit him in obtaining his goal. let me put an example to explain myself: imagine you want a new car, but you cant have it, instead of working, or stealing it from the shop or whatever it takes to get the car, you go killing owners of the car you originally wanted. remember your main objective, you wanted a new car, so why would you benefit by killing people?Exactly it doesnt make any sense, and Code Breaker Plot is something similar to this, im not kidding, its dumb.
To be fair the art is not that bad, though some guys looks seem to belong to a shoujo manga, but its okay i guess, and the animations during some battles are good though i should say the battles themselves are not very interesting or epic.
To conclude this, Code Breaker a very dissapointing anime, with the worst character i've seen in almost any anime and a plot that is absurd. I am really sad....
