Both are crude, twisted, and show the darker side of humanity. Both mangas have violence, rape and murders. And finally, both are ruthless, and chillingly realistic (17-sai. is based on real events, even more frightening and infuriating than the ones showed in the manga).

Both are really short (less than 10 pages) horror one shots, with interesting twists.

Both are sick, shocking, brutal, bloody, tasteless and somewhat hilarious shorts. If you are into gory stuff (Takena and Kago enjoy carnage a lot), both creations definitely worth a watch...if you don't get easily scared/offended :)

Both series are protagonized by kids of more or less the same age. Also, in both series, something as trivial as card games (YuGiOh!) or football/soccer (Inazuma Eleven) is taken to the extreme that the life of a character, several characters, cities, countries or the world may be in danger. Plus, the world revolves around their respective games: in Inazuma Eleven, the biggest conspiracies and the more serious conflicts in the history of the humanity can be solver with one (yes, one!) soccer match, while in YuGiOh!, some companies spend millions to create hyper-realistic holograms to make the game more captivating. In both series there's a huge island completely dedicated to their respective games (In YuGiOh, is pretty similar to Lord of the Flies, only with a lot less subtext and a lot more card games). Also, in one moment, the finals are played in airships!. Both series are very flashy, and are equally spectacular and ridiculous xD.
