The show starts off nice with the MC being raised by old legendary heroes turned into monsters, and when they eventually have to leave I thought this was the moment the show would get better. But I was wrong, I cant even remember what happens after he leaves after making his pact with the goddess. ( I still don’t understand why his voice hasn’t changed since he was a kid it just completely takes me out of the show when it’s the same girls voice for their whole life.) It just seems like after he leaves his home the show just doesn’t know what to ... do anymore and I found the rest of it very boring to watch.

This show is so boring, I only finished it out of obligation and the hope that it would get better, but it only gets worse. This is such a blatant copy of "Misfit of Demon Academy" but worse in just about every way; the main girls are so unlikeable and completely useless that they only serve as members of the spurned women's club. The childhood friend is just a bitch that bothers people and the succubus goes from acting all high and mighty but immediately becomes shy and in need of protection ( I'm not even gonna mention the loli little sister because she's the ... worst). The main character isnt really that powerful, he gets cornered pretty easily as early as the 4th episode and its not even fun to watch him use absurd powers because he just uses the same-ish spell on an enemy and its over. I was getting major deja-vu when starting this show, and I realized that I had tried to watch it before, but I immediately forgot everything about it because of how generic it was.

The only decent plot is the one where the dude at school is basically living in a utopia, but that’s like 30% of the show. The other 70% is a boring plot where the main guy tries to fight the "villains?" while dodging all the other girls advances even when they are LITERALLY the last of the male population. I fucking hate this trope, I don’t care how much of a virgin bitch you are or if your saving your first time for some one; The entire earth is in a state of emergency and the human population is dying off, you don’t have the ... luxury of choice. The show acts like he's in the right but after watching the whole thing I still have no fucking idea why the "villains" are killing off all men on earth except for 5, then for some reason them trying to repopulate the Earth is evil???? If the other dude was the focus of the show it would be a hell of a lot better than what we got.

For a show that isnt hentai but actually is; it has more world building elements in it than most other isekai shows out there. Plus the main girl is actually pretty great, looks and character wise. But unfortunately the show fumbles through most of the runtime. Don’t get me wrong, the "scenes" with Roxanne are really good, and the beginning where the Main dude is desperately trying to get her, and eventually does, is satisfying. But I cant help but feel like I was mostly just waiting for those scenes, because any other time its just fighting trees in the labyrinth. And maybe I'm ... just imagining things, but its almost like it becomes a completely different show after the first half. That’s not even mentioning the unforgivable ending. So for context; there is an episode where we see in the future that the MC has acquired more girls than just Roxanne, and he has become much stronger and confidant than before. This is one of those teasers about who else we can expect to join the harem later, and in a way it would change the dynamic of the show since its only been him and Roxanne this whole time. But in the most rushed episode ever, after acquiring the token loli character, there is a montage of him getting the other girls and then the show ends. Wow. It seems blatantly obvious that the show isnt getting another season based on how this episode rushed to the finish, and I'm disappointed. I never expect high art from these types of shows, but this show tried to be more than just the typical trash we see, and to see it fail is kinda sad. I guess I'll have to wait until some other show carries the torch.

What a waste; a good cast and a good premise all wasted because of how extremely "meh" the show is. The show acts like it is way more epic than it actually is, when all they do is rescue slaves for the whole show. For some reason there is a graphic content warning which is for two women being nearly raped by thugs, but the show doesn’t keep this tone so it confuses the hell out of me that this happens twice and it goes back to silly nonsense. The intro makes it seem like its an epic journey with an overpowered skeleton mercenary ... but he really isnt that strong; he can kill standard mobs and people with ease but gets inconvenienced by anything stronger and uses the most boring moves to finish them. Why are there no cool moves or powers? Why is it just wyvern slash and some fire abilities? Most of his battles are just him teleporting around and swinging his sword, he never actually does anything cool apart from swinging a big beast by its tail (But he does this like 3 times so its a lot less cool). Also, why is there so much CG used in this show, I get Ark being cg but most of the humans are CG at least half of the time and its really distracting. Don’t even bother with the side cast, the elf girl is useless and the green fox exists to be merchandised. I was gonna rate this average, but I'm upset at just how bland a show like this turned out, everyone else seems to eat this shit up but its just so played out.

The title is kind of misleading, I thought the MC would use his phone creatively to solve problems in a world without smartphones, but that’s asking for too much. The phone is sort of an afterthought since he doesn’t need it to cast spells, he just pulls it out sometimes to take pictures or track some ones mom. It would have been much more interesting if he used special apps to fight or used the internet to expand this worlds knowledge, but it doesn’t happen. I especially HATE when the protagonist is such a fuckin beta male pussy when he talks to girls, like… my ... guy… you can one shot dragons, you don’t need to get on your knee's when you accidently see a girl's underwear. I thought at least towards the end he would confess to some one, or fuck it, all of them, since the girls said how they feel, and the show even says in the future he will wed them all and then some. But he just pussies out, he lets these girls walk all over him like wtf.

It started out alright, but it just got boring really quick. In the beginning it seems like things are actually happening and the plot is progressing nicely, it wasn’t anything mind blowing but I was was under the impression the show was a slow burn, and it looked pretty so I didn’t mind a couple slower episodes. However instead of picking up the pace, the show just gets slower and slower until it feels like absolutely nothing is going on. Its almost like some episodes are just massive lore dumps about the world, which in most cases would be nice for any other anime, but ... these things that are shown off feel completely random and at worst filler. I just started tuning out the show and I was pretty much able to still get the point of the episode despite giving passing glances. I just kept asking why is this important? What was the purpose of that? Where are we going with this? And I seemingly never got answers to those questions. Elias' and Chise's relationship doesn’t progress in these episodes which is the central hook of the show, and I don’t care about these random side characters who spout exposition and roast the shit out of Elias. This might sound weird and be completely off, but I think this show is meant for women who want to project themselves onto Chise and be thrust into a beautiful, magical world while being saved by a powerful yet monstrous entity. That’s just the vibe I get because otherwise, there isnt much going on here to keep me interested.

Good god. What have they done? Look how they massacred my boy. I tried. I went into this show knowing that most people hated it a lot. I saw some of the criticisms, I saw the blatant slander, I saw the minority of people who enjoyed it. I wanted to like Boruto. I knew that it wouldn’t be like Naruto, that it could never be the same show, and I was fine with that because I was deep into this universe. I wanted to see where they were gonna go with the new generation of Ninja, seeing new faces and some old ones along the ... way. I thought that I would still like the show even if it was always in Naruto's shadow. But, goddamn…I was wrong. Every aspect of this show is screaming at me to hate it, and its so hard to find any good parts.

The Characters are bad. The new generation of ninja who are in Boruto's class are all so bad and forgettable; the best example of my point can be found best in Shikadai. Shikadai is a carbon copy of his father Shikimaru, in every way; the same clothes, the same hair, same catchphrase, the same jutsu, same intelligence, the same personality, the same-ish voice, and even their names are similar. Its so boring to go through the same beats in the character stories twice, I thought the series was called 'New' generations, nothing about Shikadai is new. Even the rest of the classmates are terrible, I could go on and on about how much I HATE Chōchō, who is just a fat black bitch in every sense of the word. Her voice is so goddamn annoying and she talks about food more than her father Chōji. Also, Chōji's wife was picked at complete random, their relationship was never shown, and they never even shared a conversation yet they had a kid together. The rest of the classmates are no different, just inferior versions of their parents, there are new characters that have no relation to the old Konoha 13, but they are barely shown and completely forgettable.

The main Character is bad. Boruto Uzumaki is such a little piece of shit who is more annoying than Naruto ever was. I never really found Naruto annoying, only when he would be used for fart jokes would I ever find him annoying. But even if I found him a lot more annoying like the main cast did, Naruto was not a bad character. Naruto had a goal; becoming hokage, and even when that goal shifted a little, he gave his all to achieve his dream. Seeing Naruto grow literally and figuratively was satisfying, We've seen him be treated like trash by the very village that he protects and wants to be the leader of, and when they finally respect him, that was a great moment to witness. What does Boruto have to offer? He doesn’t have any goals that arent just shallow "iM gOnNa kICk mY dAdS bUtT!!". He is so terrible to watch, he is just aimlessly going through the motions. Why, is he in a Ninja school, if he doesn’t want to be a ninja? What the hell is he wasting his time for? He just randomly gets Jutsu that is never explained or shown; he just somehow knows the forbidden shadow clone technique, and somehow knows wind, water, and lightning styles. But all he uses, are fucking, shadow clones! He is at a better starting point than his father at his age, and for some reason, he never uses anything but shadow clones. He doesn’t use them cleverly like Naruto, he doesn’t try using his other nature styles, he just gets beaten the shit out of and then pulls a victory out of his ass.

Its just bad. It disrespects what came before it and makes all the bad aspects of Naruto even worese in Boruto. Characters we loved are nerfed heavily and made into jokes. Characters that I despise are propped up as if Christ is walking among us. I just cant give it any more chances, I really tried to like Boruto, but I just cant watch it anymore. I cant keep watching a series that I use to like get bastardized like this.

The show looks very good, and has some good moments in the first couple episodes, but overall its not great. In the beginning the show seems like it would be some kind of drama, since they have this intro about socially awkward people in every episode, and the end of the first episode gives off the impression that the show is trying to convey some kind of message about people who really want to make friends, but don’t have the willpower to talk to people. Komi wants to make 100 friends, but she is almost physically incapable of talking to others. So the MC comes ... up with an idea for her to write what she feels instead to convey her words. And for a little bit, the show seemed to be conveying a message about Komi breaking out of her shell despite being extremely socially awkward around everybody. But the show muddles that message and just makes really obvious statements about people who are socially awkward, even making way too many of the same jokes about it. I think this is supposed to be a comedy show, but I never laughed at any of the jokes. At its worst, the show goes way too hard on either jokes they think are funny, or overly serious moments that come out of nowhere. The jokes are just Komi being treated as a god, and Komi being extremely awkward. That’s it. At one point, Komi gets a seriously messed up stalker that kidnaps the MC and locks him in the closet so he doesn’t get close to Komi. Komi later finds out about this but doesn’t think to alert the police or anything, but at least she doesn’t become friends with this psychopath, right? Wrong. The psycho bitch "apologizes", in the most condescending way possible, and Komi agrees to be her friend. Huh? Komi was just saying how she didn’t want to be her friend because of how horrible the psycho was, but then immediately forgives her? She doesn’t become a better person, actually she gets worse over time, and the show thinks she is funny. There are also these points where the show wants to be serious again, and conjures up some random serious scene out of thin air. The only thing the show really has going for it is the visuals, and the on and off romantic plot between the MC and Komi. Otherwise, its not that great.

I don’t want to be "That Guy", but I did not enjoy this as much as other people did. Sure it looks really good most of the time, and it plays out differently than most anime, but it just wasn’t any kind of masterpiece. People hype about how every episode has its own dedicated ed, but I almost never stick around till the end unless I see that there is another scene, so I never cared. People over analyze the symbolism and references to other media, but that kind of stuff is just icing on a cake, and if its not a good show I ... don’t care how much symbolism it has. The animation can be really good at points, but its mostly for shit like some one eating an apple or getting up in the morning. I cant help but look at scenes like that and think, "Time was wasted on something as simple as this?". I thought the fight scenes would look so cool since they put so much effort into little details nobody cares about, but I was wrong. Fights rarely look good, most fights look like CG messes whenever it’s the chainsaw man or Katana man. No part of the story really blew me away either, but that might be due to the fact that people cannot shut the fuck up about spoilers for the show. I don’t care if you read the stupid Japanese comic before everyone else, nobody cares, they just want to watch the show in peace, but I never got that. I'm not gonna read manga just because people have a superiority complex about reading, please kindly fuck off. So yeah, the story is pretty much ruined for me, and the show looking good doesn’t mean anything if what I'm watching is mid. I'm sorry but I just did not enjoy this as much as everyone else did. I look at comments of people who watched this show saying they cried or how this is their favorite show of all time; and I just think to myself, "are they crazy?".
