The first season of Classroom of the Elite was fantastic, and as someone that trashes the light novel and prefers the anime, I had high hopes for this season.
Unfortunately, this season was a gigantic let down. After watching the first five episodes with how mindlessly idiotic the main character acts because he was written that way in the god-awful light novel, I have dropped this season, as it has made it so that I'm unlikely to watch season 3, as well.
As someone who has never read the terrible light novel and yet predicted the LN just from the final scene in S1 E6, I was
...
hoping to get some scenes involving the White Room to the point that the White Room becomes the main focus, but unfortunately, the main character's past remains a mystery, and therefore, his behavior unexplainable. Season 1 had fantastic scenes that teased the White Room, but this one didn't have anything.
Do yourself a favor and save your time and money.

First of all, to any poor bastard who sat through three full seasons of this garbage franchise as I did, do yourself a favor and only watch the first season to get the idea of what this show has to offer: Nothing. By the end of the 5th episode, I felt dead on the inside. The only good thing about DxD are the amazing fanfics out there. The idea of DxD is great, but the canon execution is awful.
Overall score: 1/10
Story: 1/10
Highschool DxD adapts off a Light Novel written by Ichie Ishibumi, who is one of the worst authors to ever walk the Earth.
To
...
keep the story short, every fanboy of Rias Gremory simps for her, especially the Main Character, even though she left him to die after he was murdered by his girlfriend, Raynare, who is a Fallen Angel. Rias is a Devil that reincarnates him, claiming she "saved" him when in reality, she enslaved him into her peerage using a Pawn piece; Devils use a chess set with the leader of each peerage being the King, and subordinates who run away are hunted down and murdered without a trial.
Rias Gremory is the most overrated anime character in history. She's hot, yes, but that doesn't excuse how shitty of a person she is.
She goes on to explain something called the Great War and how there is all this tension between the Three Factions, the Devils, Fallen Angels, and Angels. But sadly, this pathetic excuse of a franchise never expands on it, show any scenes of the war, and much like the Rating Games and their cringy "oppai dragon" kid fans, this canon franchise is kept PG aside from the obvious boring harem fanservice.
Speaking of fanservice, by the end of the 5th episode, I was enraged that Issei's girlfriend, Raynare, was a character I really wanted to know more about in terms of her motives for killing him, but instead, she met her end and doesn't appear in the show afterwarrds for reasons that I cannot say due to spoilers. Her character was one that was set up in a way that made it seem like she would be a major important character, so the way she was written is easily the most disappointing aspect of this atrocious franchise. Why kill Issei? Why bother asking him out on a date, only to stab him and taunt him? These questions were never answered.
Seriously, what purpose does Raynare's character serve other than to force the MC into the supernatural, to keep the story moving forward? Fanservice?
And about the whole oppai dragon crap, it is okay for the MC to have young fans, but this made me want to run head first into a brick wall. Who cares what a bunch of little kids are doing? Screw that! I want more M rated violent action in this show rather than this!
Issei Hyoudou, a 2nd year highschool pervert who only likes to peep on girls, jack off to huge tits, and hang out with his two perverted "friends," if he can even call them that. Never have I ever seen a character as stupid as him. All the signs are there right in front of him, that Rias knew what was going to happen to him and let him die, but he's too stupid to realize that, claiming he "loves" her when in reality, he only wants the redhead to flash her "bazongas." And yet, I feel bad for him... for being so incomprehensibly dumb, that is.
Issei and Rias have so much plot armor as well, they would make Goku jealous. Hell, the writer would probably make them fight someone as strong as Goku AND SURVIVE! HOW?!
To think I actually ship Issei x Raynare... But canon Issei is too low IQ for me to take him seriously.
And then there was the whole boring Riser Phenex training/rating game/wedding arc... Cliche, overused, etc.
Asia Argento is also the most useless character in this franchise.
Art: 6/10
This is the only aspect that is worth anything, but again, this entire show is nothing but fanservice.
I do have to say that the LN has much better art than the anime, from what I have seen.
Sound: 4/10
The music is forgettable.
Character: 1/10
Nothing changes. MC remains a boy toy who gets constantly teased.
Enjoyment: 1/10
All in all, only watch the first season, and then go read some great fanfics, because there are plenty of fans, especially the ones who don't simp for Rias, that are much smarter than Ichie Ishibumi. Canon DxD is garbage.

There is a good reason why this is called the saddest anime of all time.
If there is one Japanese person I wish I could meet, interview, and receive an autograph from, it's definitely Jun Maeda. I want to know how that legendary man makes such amazing, emotionally powerful stories and soundtracks such as this one that has resonated with me.
Story= 10/10. While this is the sequel, and while there is some romance in it between Okazaki and Nagisa, After Story shifts the focus from topics such as romance and friendship to parenthood and the father-child relationship as Okazaki has to eventually come to terms
...
with what his own dad means to him, as he and Nagisa try to adjust to the life of adults. After Story really emphasizes how important our parents are and why we should tell them we love them, because they've sacrificed so much for us.
Art- 10/10. Same Clannad visuals, but not bad in the slightest. There still are a few works that look more beautiful to me than Clannad, but this anime still looks amazing.
Sound- 10/10. This is quite possibly this animes' strongest point, as Jun Maeda, story writer and composer of the OST, is a goddamn genius! I absolutely love the music and it is one huge reason why I cried my eyes out while watching; I highly advise that you keep a box of tissues with you along with a big glass of ice-water to keep yourself hydrated, because this anime is a tear-jerker!
Character- 10/10. Funny characters. All of them. Sunohara, Akio, Okazaki, Sanae, Kyou, Tomoyo, Nagisa, etc. Almost every character made me laugh my butt off! But there are some characters later down the line whose stories make After Story, and Clannad as a whole, worth it due to the memorable sadness.
Enjoyment- 10/10. Although it may be a little slow in the first ten-ish episodes, I enjoyed every second of this anime.
Overall- 10/10. All of my previous reasons help this score speak for itself.
There is also a Visual Novel of Clannad on Steam, which I plan to play. Thank you, Jun Maeda, for making Clannad along with many other memorable works (Angel Beats, Air, Kanon, Charlotte, etc).

There is a reason why Lelouch vi Britannia is considered to be arguably the greatest anime character of all time. As this is the sequel to the 2006 anime, Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion R2 is definitely worth the watch.
Story= 10/10. What is justice? Is there such a thing in war? Are the despicable means that terrorists use really not worth it in the end? More specifically, do the ends justify the means? This anime portrays the harrowing concept of war perfectly through all its horrors, more specifically through the experiences and broken relationships of those in the front lines. The way this anime
...
is able to make its viewers look up towards heroic characters is mind-blowing. This anime shows the emotional roller coaster of what it means to be a true hero, one that wears a mask, a facade.
Art= 10/10. May not be the most beautiful compared to some other works, but is definitely outstanding compared to other anime of its time and of today.
Sound= 10/10, Nothing screams 'Military' or 'War' or 'Loss' more than the glorious soundtrack of Code Geass: R2. It is amazing, heartbreaking, and filled with emotion and drama.
Character= 9/10. I honestly, for a lack of better words, do not think there is an anime character I dislike more than Suzaku Kururugi because of how stupid he is. His character is poorly written when he should have been able to figure out the fact that his best friend is not entirely at fault for their problems. Suzaku's whole "I'll stop this violence with more violence!" ideology is another reason why I dislike him. In fact, there are many lovable and loathsome characters in this show. Also, there is way too much 'teasing the ship' between Lelouch and C.C; I really hope those two are shown as an official couple in season 3.
Enjoyment= 10/10. This anime was very psychological in a way; "I've got a plan for your plan for my plan for your plan." I love that, especially in action/military stories where the main character is trying to anticipate the moves of his enemies while they're doing the same thing. I was hooked onto this anime from season 1 to the end. Code Geass became my all time favorite show.
Overall- 10/10. Code Geass is a masterpiece and will forever have a very special place in my heart as my #1 favorite anything, really; there are no anime's, movies, video games, TV shows, sports, musicians, or books that can even come close to how much I love this show.
Also, I recommend watching this anime in the English dub; the casting and voice acting is also my #1 favorite with Lelouch having my favorite voice actor, Johnny Yong Bosch! This is coming from someone who watches anime in Japanese 90% of the time.

These days, I rarely do anime reviews, but when I do, it's for a "Must Watch!" type of story.
When you learn a lesson from a story, it is rare for that lesson to actually change your life/become applicable to the real world. Yahari Ore no Seishun Love Comedy wa Machigatteiru Zoku did a great job at emphasizing the fact that it's impossible to understand other people 100%. The story of this anime is meant to be confusing, not in the sense that it has plot holes, but rather that the meaning is so implicitly well-hidden, that the viewer has to decipher each episode, maybe
...
even rewatch them because this anime is just that deep. Is youth a lie? What is genuine? I highly recommend this anime, especially for teenagers as they try to find themselves. The main character, Hikigaya Hachiman, is quite possibly the most relatable anime character there is.
Story= 10/10 (Outstanding). It is very rare to find a story that is as well-written as this one. On the surface, this anime may appear like any Rom-Com or Harem story, but I highly advise you to think otherwise and be prepared for anything.
Art- 10/10 (Outstanding). As this 2nd season is made by a different studios than the 1st season, the visuals have been vastly improved, and, dare I say that this might be among the top 5 best-looking anime ever.
Sound- 10/10 (Outstanding). Music speaks for itself, as it can be a powerful emotional tool that is difficult to explain.
Character- 9/10 (Great). There is one questionable line in episode 8 that Yukinoshita Yukino said that left me confused. Other than that, the characters are very diverse in terms of their social situations ranging from cynical or cold loners like Hikigaya and Yukinoshita to the "fake" or "superficial" extroverted Hayama Hayato to the adults that give our two main characters some advise when they need it such as Hiratsuka Sensei. All in all, the cast of OreGairu is very entertaining and they always leave me with a "What's going to happen next?!" vibe, a rare feeling that very few anime actually are capable of.
Enjoyment- 10/10 (Outstanding). While there are comedic situations involving our favorite loner, there are also moments of tension between characters; this anime made me enjoy deciphering the deeply encrypted story in a way that no other story could.
Overall score= 9/10 (Great).
Now, can we please get a season 3 already?

This anime was great. It had a great hook, one unlike any I have ever seen. It's story is very unique and original, and despite the thought of how many different ways you can die, this anime conveys the thought of how many different ways you can kill someone. What makes it amazing is the thought of killing someone by writing their name in a notebook which makes the viewers' imagination run wild with thoughts such as "if I had that kind of power..." It's soundtrack is very, very fitting and has a magical feel to its atmosphere with tracks such as the Shinigami song
...
that plays in the very first few minutes of the first episode. Although it has a great hook, Death Note eventually got a little boring and I almost quit watching it due to moments such as "I'll take a potatoe chip, and EAT IT." Really? It's funny but WAY too dramatic. Visuals were great until the very last episode where Lights blood doesn't even look like blood. All in all, I'll give this anime 8/10.

The story had me hooked from the very beginning. This anime had everything I was looking for in perfection- an amazing story, a beautiful soundtrack, great visuals, and more. I love how it swings from ridiculous and hilarious situations in the story to sudden and serious situations and back. This anime had a great way to keep me hooked; if I could erase my memory and rewatch this anime, I would do it. It also had one of the best endings ever. The emotion it invoked out of its viewers was humor, shock, some sadness, and overall happiness. There are some characters that are lovable,
...
some that are loathsome, but all of them contributed to keep the story entertaining. There was not a single moment that wasn't memorable. Everything that happened in this anime feels like a dangerous, scary, but fun adventure.
