This show is meant to be enjoyed, it has nearly nothing to do with the main plot of ah! megami-sama! Every episode happens when keichi isn't at home and the goddess turn into the mini-goddess living their adventures with gan-chan. You'll find lots of parodies with other known animes like Saint Seiya and Berserk.
Chibi artwork hasn't anything really exceptional. If you feel stressed and wants to be free from it, watch few episodes, they are really short. Perfect anime for casual times.
