Strange dawn, the name is oddly fitting.
It's a show which has it's own take on fantasy stories, and invokes memories of shows similar to "Made in abyss", but perhaps without the story to back it up.
In modern lingo this would be named an "Isekai", or "in another world", as the show follows the meandering adventures of two high-school girls trapped in a medieval, low-magic world. It's shows like these which I aspire for their to be a "world building" category on MAL.
I can also appreciate this for how untainted it is by the modern anime industry, the characters are far from the
...
stereotypical Isekai power fantasy cast. For my tastes, I thoroughly enjoyed the world and have been sufficiently engaged by it's whimsy, as well as realism, to give it a re-watch.
To be clear though, the story is unfortunately poor and comes to a truly unsatisfying end. If you're seeking out a little gem to immerse yourself in the world building, this is for you, but don't expect riveting storytelling.

Tensei Slime season 2 had a strong legacy to uphold. Unfortunately my expectations were not met. This review will have no explicit spoilers as it concerns the structure and craftsmanship on display, but may make some comments concerning the structure that can be read-into.
In this review I will not break down each individual subclassification. In general the sound assets were mostly reused from season 1. The art is a slightly less detailed at least in part, (S1 had it's fair share of dodgy art too) but not offensively or concerning so.
The aspect I found most agitating watching this was the
...
pacing, honestly giving the story a 5 was rather generous. The entering episodes were somewhat languid but pleasant, although didn't feel like much beyond a "B" story. I felt a little let down at the time, little did I know that these would be the highlight of the season for me. The primary issue being the following Arc. The actual development felt a mix of painfully slow at times, then (infuriatingly) rushed though the main story of the Arc without paying it the respect it deserved. Compared to the first season which moved so fluidly from one Arc to the next, giving appropriate attention to each; it was obvious where improvements could be made. To top this all off, the loveable characters from the first season had very few meaningful developments in S2. If anything giving them screen time only further contributed to the pacing issues, as they appeared simplified for the purpose of trudging though obligatory interactions. There were new characters introduced, but they did very little to make an impact emotionally, serving mostly to grind the story onto the next act. With the exception of the last two episodes, very little or merit happened in terms of head cannon development.
Perhaps I'm overly critical due to the impact and longer run time of S1, but honestly believe that the necessity from production to split the season into a "part 1" and "part 2" caused crippling pacing issues which sapped the show of its charm.
Unless the reader is a dedicated slime fan, I wouldn't recommend this show unless the aforementioned issues are resolved in season 2 part 2.

Kiki's delivery service is a beautifully written and animated story about the young witch kiki and her pre-determined adventure of seft improvment.
Story -8- The story is a bubbly fun but also progressive and heart grabbing fiction which puts a different sort of spin on the traditional conception of witches. In this representation witches are a force of good that although is not a new idea, is done in a way i have not seen before. But in many ways the fact that kiki is a witch is not as important as her being a girl, as this anime raises concepts of maturity about
...
what it means to grow up. That said it is a innocent tale that will leave you thinking "awww" and can be enjoyed by all the family. The only reason it didnt get a 10 is that i cant really give a movie intended for a younger audiance a 10,(too many restrictions) but its as close as one will ever get.
Art -10- This is a beautifull anime, infact calling it an anime (or cartoon) is (in my eyes) downgrading its status as a peice of art, as you see it is not just telling a story, its also showing you a painting. In all my life i have not seen anything that tells a story in such detail and in such traditional hand drawn glory (as its from the 1970's before p.c. editing). If you are unsure of wether the story is for you, then i would surggest you watch this simply for the entertainment value of the art work.
Sound -8- It wasnt really my cup of tea to be honest, but it fits the story well. It also sets the mood for alot of kiki's adventures and hardships, so in terms of the background sound, it is very good. Ide also like to say on the note of sound that this is possibly one of the only anime movies/series that enjoys a good english dub. I am not afraid to say i enjoyed both the sub and dub vertions.
**note** - this is just my subjective oppinion many of you might enjoy the music in this film more more.
Characters -9- The characters in this movie are also a great feet, especially based on that its only feture length. Both the main characters get development in this film, but they still keep all the charms and features which made me love them in the first place. The supporting main characters are also quite effective in the film, and at least i hope alot of younger boys and girls can associate with them and their lifes. Although Kiki is a lovely character, i think in some ways her side-kick Jiji is the charcter that most impressed me, as he is able to produce alot of very intresting plot lines without lsoing his nature as a cat or Kiki's best friend.
Enjoyment -9- You cant help but enjoy and love this film, nomatter your age or gender. In my oppinion it is a great film to bring people together and remeber the simple innocent pleasures in life.
Overall -9- As i have said above, i decided not to give this a 10 on the grounds on that it feels too simple, but as far as simple films go this is the best. Just sit back relax and enjoy, you can think about it as little or as much as you like but will still bask in its gentle aura of innocence and bubbly fun.

If you are about to watch bleach and are about to go watch the first few episodes, then your in for a treat.
The first/introductory arc of bleach is an brilliant show of anime, truley somthing worth watching. But the problem in my eyes is that it goes very much down hill from there. Some fans (and myself) do believe it will pick up a little from time to time but ultimatly it is not going to wow you with complex or ingaging plot.
As with alot of popular anime bleach very quickly gets lost in an unnessicary and almost unwatchably long train of
...
fillers, drawn out fights and repetition on powers and jokes. Unless your new to anime or are caught in its fandom frenzy, then you will probably not beable to sit through the 100's of episodes to come.
Story -6- as explained above it takes along time for anything to happen after the first arc. It does have a twists but nothing that will not become blatantly obvious. The fight scenes are not too bad, but most characters only posses about 2 or 3 moves, so it can get boring after their powers have been introduced. The plot lines do run for a while into the story but are usually summed up before starting a new set of events. There are alot of filler arcs that will literally come at any time they see fit, and will plague you with non-cannon storys, they are sometimes funny but generally are just in the way.
Art -7- as such a long anime, the style and animation changes during the corse of the show. It is good in parts but is not consistent and is sometimes misleading to the actual abilities of a character.
Sound -9- bleach has alot of different tracks related to it, both for the credits and show. When i look back on it, bleach fans are really spoilt for choice in this area.
Characters -7- the characters are introduced well in bleach, and get some development, but not as much as you would expect in such a long series. Expect to be juggling names by the end though as it has alot of main and supporting characters (but hey at least their names are easy to remeber). Unfortuantly there will often be parts of this anime that will make you question where all the characters have gone though, as there are so many.
Enjoyment -7- this is possibly the most subjective and overlapping category, but generally i would say that bleach does have a certian charm the will have you wanting more (even if you dont know why). I highly enjoyed the first arc and liked the manga that (imo) will make up for some of the problems of popular anime. But as ive said - you wont enjoy this unless you can strap yourself in for a long anime.
Overall -6- im going to be fair, its good in places but has alot of faults. If i where you i would have a think about watching this series, and dont just dive in without knowing that you will be watching for a long time.
