Engage kiss is pretty bad, neither its story nor its characters are relevant, the only reason I give it a 3 instead of a 1 is because the animation has moments where I really liked it, but apart from that it has nothing more.

Starting with the story, we have a very unoriginal story for these times, that is, demon hunters, but well, the important thing is not only the premise, but what you do with it, and the work does horrible things, starting with the protagonist, who he is the typical main character who has a lot of girls behind him for no ... reason, so that the young boys who watch the anime see how cool he is and want to be like him and have the girls behind him, none of the girls are interesting either

I must admit that there is one thing that seemed good to me and it is the idea that in order to fulfill his objective the protagonist gave his memories, that is to say his motivation to fulfill his own dream, that was interesting, in the end we were going to have the objective fulfilled but a tragic end in which the person who wanted to see it fulfilled is no longer even interested or understands what is happening, but how could it be otherwise, even almost seeming like something too good for this anime, he himself is responsible for throwing it into the garbage giving us a happy ending that serves no purpose

Kisara who is supposedly a demon and should show that dark side because in reality the only thing he does is take care of the main character and give him all the memories of him in the end, making everything we saw useless and making us waste time of our lives watching it

When they have the opportunity to show us a new interesting character with Shuu's sister, what they give us is ridiculousness, the only motivation of the final villain is to finish off her brother's girlfriends, yes, incredible right?, and when We see her incorporated into the cast as someone more normal in the end it is for the same thing, to be another of the girls behind the main character even though she is his sister, since I did not see it coming

The deaths that should cause sadness in the work cause indifference, the secondary characters are annoying and the serious political or religious situations that they try to incorporate feel quite empty giving us meaningless organizations such as the church or the same one that hunts the demons that he never achieved anything, they just always went with their guns and never fixed anything, I don't know why there were so many organizations or auctions if they were all useless

I think that as this one lives mainly thanks to two things, its situations and its characters, the situations including the premise of the series which is that an ex-partner will become step-siblings are interesting and I think they could become really captivating if they had best characters in them, in the case of both protagonists, not only are their designs incredibly repetitive and unoriginal, but they also don't offer much in terms of personality, which for a series that needs its characters to shine is quite bad

There are only 2 things in this anime that I find genuinely good, the first is ... the story of how the couple broke up, which seems somewhat realistic to me although I saw that several did not seem that way, but I think the way in which interest is lost and they begin to talk less and less without realizing it and believing that they are fine and made peace is quite close to reality and relationships that die due to the disinterest of both parties to falsely fix their problems beyond what superficial and give them a real solution beyond the "we're fine"

The second and best thing is definitely Isana Higashira, the only genuinely likeable and endearing character in the series, I quite like the personality that she has even how she dresses before they try to change her, it may seem like a silly detail but in the animes that I have seen there are not so many girls who draw with clothes similar to those jackets or sweatshirts that she wears and I like the character more with that natural costume, it is a character that could easily be anyone's best friend but unfortunately with only one good character at least for me it's not enough to give more to this anime or ever see an episode again, maybe just clips

When I started watching this anime I thought that it could become moderately good if it focused on comedy, which is what I thought it was about at first, but the work failed by trying to take itself seriously and wanting to give it a serious tone. that by not finishing convincing it only ends up being pretentious

The anime copies a lot from others, and that's not necessarily bad, the problem is that it only copies bad things from others, the gigantic school in which there are only 4 important students, powers that are not fully explained, the girls who fall in love ... of the protagonist for no reason, the deaths of characters that are fixed because the story has to continue, the children who have been doing magic for a short time and who already surpass the adults and are the strongest in the world

This is not counting the terribly generic villains who are only motivated by the most horrible cliché after "Conquer the world" which is "Destroy the world" wow, how surprising, yes eh, great villain, yes of course, even in a part the villain says something like “Why do you want to protect Vermeil? If her powers cause destruction, she's evil” or something, I mean, you want her to destroy the world, what the hell are you talking about? the dialogues are horrible too

An organization of villains that tries to be deep but fails, even in the end they leave and leave alto and vermeil alone because yes, there was no explanation, they are in an unreachable place from the outside, nobody is going to bother them, another villain arrives on top who is also platinum and they decide to leave, they are tremendous clowns

All this bronze, silver, platinum gold is also useless, what does it matter to see Alto trying to be bronze or silver when we know that he already fought with a platinum, it does not create any tension, and the tests also could not be more boring, written exam, and put magic in a sphere, they could be much more interesting to at least be worth seeing the way forward or something but no

Good things/That I liked

The anime has good moments of animation, despite being few, they are really good and I could spend repeating them and watching them several times so when one of those moments comes it is really enjoyable, besides ehh... well this is the only really good thing

Bad Things/That I didn't like

Practically everything, when I saw the first chapters I thought something like "Is this really the work I've heard so much about?" and I went to see the original series on youtube, I only saw the first 2 volumes, but I found practically a different work, the adaptation is terrible and ... I will try to divide it into the following points, which are the biggest problems for me:

The girls of the main cast: In the original series I met 4 girls who are really charismatic, unique and funny, from all this the adaptation took everything away from them, in the anime they made me dislike all of them and they forgot about these little moments of comedy that show us the relationship and dynamic between them, besides that they really get along and have good chemistry, in Ice Queendom Ruby is depressive, they took away all the confidence she had, Weiss is the most annoying of all, Yang is just a screaming girl, and Blake um… was Blake on the show?

The construction of the world: Although it is not too much, the first 2 volumes of RWBY try to build a vision of the world, its current state, its problems and what role our protagonists play in it, a very important thing for a work, but in Ice Queendom, well in Instead of developing this they decided to spend all its chapters on… a dream, yes a dream, I still don't know what world I'm standing in and I spend the whole season in the head of an annoying character that they haven't told me about because he has to still matter, whose excellent idea was it?

To finish just say that Weiss's dream arc seems unbearable to me, one of the worst I've seen, they try to make cheap and mediocre tension repeating every five minutes "Oh no, Weiss may not wake up anymore, no, this is very serious noooo” when it is obvious that it is not going to happen, the only one who is not going to really wake up and fall into a deep sleep watching this is the spectator, one is just waiting for them to get her out of there, in addition to Weiss not he has no shame, that is, the girls escape him a thousand times and every time he sees them he repeats his phrase "now yes, I will judge you forever" or something like that and I can only think, Weiss have some dignity, god you can't say the same thing 20 times in a row when they always get away from you, and when it looks like they're finally going to get Weiss out of there another monster gets in Ruby and Blake and one just wants to punch the screen.

And this is what makes RWBY a candidate for the worst anime of the season for me, in addition to the fact that the animation, although sometimes it is sublime, most of the time it is horrible, sometimes I paused or went back the chapters just to see if my eyes were not deceiving me in how bad it looked.

Good things/That I like

First I think that the best thing about anime is the aesthetics, I'm not an expert in animation or drawing or anything but in my eyes the backgrounds of the night sky and the city, and the character designs seem spectacular to me, (that is really if you pause a chapter at any second you have an incredible wallpaper) also it seems to me that the series reflects well the night in the city, the lonely street, I think that for everyone the night is something that in one way or another generates many feelings and emotions and in I ... think the series handles this aspect perfectly.

The message of the series doesn't seem bad to me, I think it mainly tries to show that everyone has strange things in themselves, things like wanting to see the night, not attending classes, wanting solitude, not fitting in, needing attention, being too tired. of routine, the complication of friendship and love relationships and not knowing how to handle them.

Bad things/I didn't like

I never ended up connecting with any of the protagonists or really interested in what was happening to them, starting with Yamori, he is a protagonist who is boring and stereotypical, the classic protagonist who gets involved in strange events and barely reacts according to the situation, lonely , they want to make him look interesting, he is not attracted to anyone, and it seems that he has no family or anything that makes him doubt being a vampire just because of a desire to want to live in the night, which you can do perfectly well without becoming one, if that's your only wish get a job in a night bar and presto, all plot problem solved

Nazuna beyond his spectacular design has absolutely nothing that can be highlighted about his personality, it is boring, sometimes even annoying for both Yamori and the viewer.
His secondary characters are not spared either, the only character that I find genuinely likeable and with some charisma is the childhood friend, Akira Asai, simply because of his way of being and his interactions, he is nothing spectacular either, but compared to the others she looks like a great friend

The blonde vampire whose name I can't remember is more of the same, a nice design accompanied by a bland and confusing story that really ends up not interesting me at all, just like the boy who accompanies her

One of the most tiresome things for me about the work is that feeling that they want to convey that Yamori does not understand love, they place a lot of emphasis on that, even in one chapter one of the vampire girls tells him that he has 1 year to fall in love and he says something like “so little?” and I just thought "Rather that too much, how many years did you plan to spend your life like this?" even if that requirement is to speed up the plot it doesn't seem to speed it up at all

The relationship of the protagonists along with the story does not seem to have a fixed course, that may be good sometimes but others one simply asks himself halfway through the chapters "where do they want to go with this?" when things happen, if, for example, due to some event they had to separate or something happened to one of them, my reaction would be something like "Ah" because they didn't make me interested in them or because they are really together.

I've heard that the manga and the story after it is spectacular and they say it so much that I believe it, however that doesn't take away from the fact that this first season is not enough to catch you in its story by itself

Another thing, I saw people criticizing this anime because the vampire is I don't know how old and Ko is practically a child, or because of the fanservice and it's really the least of her problems, I think it's silly to get moralistic about such delicate issues as age in the relationships in subjects as fanciful as vampires and anime, and as for fanservice, if they don't like it they shouldn't watch anime, that is to say, there is no work that is saved from this

In my opinion all the popularity that the anime took was due to an interesting premise and what for me are 2 good chapters at the beginning of the work, however I also think that it declines quickly and the problem that causes it is the characters , removing those of the main cast (that is, Komi, Tadano and Najimi) they are all unbearable, but they really are useless, they do not contribute anything, the only thing they cause is that when they appear one feels that the whole chapter or the idea that was developing is going to waste, (I think the ... only bearable characters besides the main cast is the girl who helped Tadano with the class president stuff and her slow-talking friend, taking them away the others are trash) like the one that every 5 minutes (I'd like to say it's an exaggeration but I really think it's true) all the characters stare at Komi and say things about her, if we already understood that Komi is pretty let me rest let merest at least one chapter of that just sick of watching it constantly, in short the anime is one that you can enjoy in a simple and casual way I do not deny it and Najimi steals the show, he was the one who had the most fun in the series despite the humor that is handled sometimes is not very my thing

As a comedy manga or Ecchi (I don't know if it's the correct term) it's not bad, it really made me smile a lot while I read it because of the extreme and ridiculous situations in which the characters were involved, my problem with this manga comes from its horrible ending, where it is not able to close any of the stories correctly, not a single one, Hana's conflict with Kiyoshi and Chiyo's when it seemed that they would have an interesting outcome finally closes with a joke, Gakuto with the girls is not reached to nothing, even after showing so much interest ... in him, the two leave together, as a comic segment it is not a bad ending, but at the end of everything it is ridiculous, Anzu and Shingo another story that leads nowhere, the same with Meiko, the president and Kate, it doesn't make sense for the president to suddenly leave her friends and the council, Joe and cake are another story that leads to nothing, Riza and Andre is the only thing that is resolved and quite above

In short the tour is not that bad (Except for the chivalry contest which is quite boring and nothing happens until the moment Meiko returns, I could have skipped everything until then and I didn't miss anything and the story of the president lost in the forest with the bear and all that is also quite exasperating) but the ending is horrible,

What I rescue and like the most are the moments and escapes from prison and the interactions of Kiyoshi and Hana that entertained me a lot

Kingdom can only be described as a masterpiece, it made me interested in things that I had never liked like history, in this case ancient China, and it is definitely the work in which I most enjoy politics and strategies. in battles, without a doubt the manga that handles it best, they are issues that other mangakas and in other works can be boring but here they are handled so well that you can't wait to see how an act will affect the balance of all the kingdoms and knowing what measures each character can take, the battles are just as good on the battlefields ... as in the courts of kings, the characters are also incredible and already one of my favorites in general, Xin, Quan Lei, Huan Ji, Li Mu , etc. (they can have different names depending on the version or translation that is read) 715 chapters as of the date I write this and I want more, I need more, much more, it's perfect, probably my favorite manga

Even though there are some things that have not quite convinced me (which I will say later) giving Gantz less than a 10 is impossible for me, what I enjoyed reading this manga I cannot even express correctly, starting with its protagonist Kei Kurono. He seems to be one of the best main characters I have seen, his development and evolution are incredible and the way you empathize with him, perhaps it is the strongest point of the work in my opinion, his relationship with Tae is another very great success, of the more natural relationships in mangas definitely, the bad points (of which none ... really ruins anything but we must mention them) seem to me are, the lack of information of some things, such as telepaths or vampires that seemed to be even the final villains , the little development to the subject of Kurono's brother that I think gave for more, or a slightly hasty ending. I don't think it's bad that characters like Tae survived the end of the play, but if I admit that putting her in danger at every possible opportunity did not seem very successful because it lost effect, it is not at all the same to see Tae in danger during Izumi's attack where you are genuinely concerned, to see her in danger in the alien ship when this is already excessive, also the best of this work are without a doubt its characters, Kei, Reika, Tae, Izumi, Sakurai, Kato, Nishi and Sei that me I would have liked to see it more I liked it a lot, one of my least favorites was Kishimoto but I still don't think it is bad. Gantz is a masterpiece that makes almost 400 chapters go like water and you want even more.

I'm going to start by saying that anime really seems better to me than manga, however manga seems like a very good way to complement the series. Things that are not completely clear or they lack a bit of development get along well, among them is the relationships of shinji with misato, rei and asuka that are better and clearer here, the only things that seem worse to me carried (Although I do not think it was entirely bad to experiment a little in these but they ended up not working) are Kaworu and Kaji, Kaji seems to me that he was a character that ... lived a lot of mystery, and here to explain more about him without finishing convincing in his story and having strange attitudes with Shinji seems to me that he is less interesting and even annoying, which was never in the original series, and on the other hand Kaworu always seemed to me a character who comes to be a support for Shinji in his difficult situation and not to make him feel uncomfortable as it happens in this manga to be rejected by him and basically beg for his attention, in the anime their relationship is good, Kaworu always knows what to say and do to try Anxiety Shinji, even before he dies, seems to really understand it but in the manga you can't wait for the moment when Shinji kills him, and the guilt for killing him is not so credible, so much so that even the story seems to forget him completely Like shinji, for the rest even gendo and yui seem to me to have more interesting background, and the events of The End Of Evangelion are even clearer, and even at the end we have something that not many may like as is the theme of the "reincarnations" or something similar with the characters trying to lead their lives better but for me it is not a bad way to close with this manga
