I wrote a longer review after finishing season two, because my opinion was stronger. I was really really annoyed with the parts I didn't like. I'll write a quicker one here, since I don't remember everything about this season in particular super well.
I think this anime is definitely overrated, everyone I've ever heard talking about it was treating it like a masterpiece and got my expectations really high, which made me feel very disappointed when it didn't meet them. It's kinda sad when you really like a lot of parts of an anime but something is still making you feel bitter about it.
Art style is
...
not my type, but I got used to it, it's fine, I don't mind, fights and powers look really cool. The sound is nice, I never even skipped the opening, it's a bop, amazing. I like the characters and the story. It's not the most original or profound, it's a middleschooler struggling with very typical things like having a crush and no friends, school clubs, trying to improve himself... and ghosts and secret organizations. What would a story like that be without evil villains that then change their ways? It's nice to see the people around change too. I mostly mean his brother, but his boss too, I guess. Both of them are quite interesting. And I never expected the strange-hair-blonde-guy to actually become like this, but I guess this is the typical talk-no-jutsu.
Long story short, I'd enjoy it more if it was less cringy, but still I like many parts of it, especially all the fight scenes. Rating it 6 or less would feel unfair because of the good elements, but I also can't rate it high because of the cringe factor and because of how disappointed I was.

Oh, how much have I heard about this show. First about season one, then about season two. So many people praising it, saying how good it is, that people might not like it because of the art style but it's so genius and whatever. Thanks guys, because you set me up for this immense feeling of disappointment. It's not a bad anime, per se. But it certaintly feels very overrated. I expected more, so I couldn't even fully enjoy the good parts, because I remember the bad parts more. So, am I insane or is it overrated, who knows.
First of all, the art
...
style is not a problem because you just get used to what you see. Though I can't say that this is my favourite. People do look very weird. Animation during fights, how powers look... that's quite good. You can express a lot more when you don't confine yourself to being pretty or always having the same look.
Sound is certaintly a plus. I like that battle soundtrack. Also, I probably didn't even skip an opening a single time while watching those two seasons. Those songs are absolutely banging. Even though the english lyrics don't make sense half the time, this is my jam. You're doing great, openings.
I also like the concept of the world, ghosts and superpowers being common, secret organizations, the characters. Most of this stuff seems really solid. My favourite parts were power-related, the last few episodes were the best imo. Went similarly to the end season one, you start slow, some fight, some school life, then go all out at the end.
But I said I was disappointed, right? And I didn't actually point anything out yet. I don't know how many people felt the same way, but this series has just so much cringe. I'm kinda sensitive to it, so I just have to pause and it's hard to continue. That's why it took me a few months to start watching it again. I skipped almost two full episodes. Watched like 3 minutes from each of them. It's kinda hard for me to rate it high when it took so much enjoyment out of it. I'm watching and asking myself: why do you have to add so much cringe, can't you really do without it? When there wasn't this problem, it was good. So many people spam the word "cringe" on the internet, so I thought that it's strange that I haven't heard this opinion before, but I guess every emotion really is subjective, huh.
For something that disappointed me so throughly, I'm kinda disregarding my personal feelings and still giving it quite a good score, so enjoy it while it lasts. Probably the fact that I actually skipped and don't know what happened sometimes helps! But seriously, I think most of this stuff is very good so I'm starting rating from about 9/8 and then I had to subtract some because of the cringe, but 6 feels like a low score to me. I usually rate things that create their own universe higher.

I didn't mean to watch this anime, since it came out last year and I already had a long list of titles to check out... But then I kept on hearing people mention it and I saw some youtube clips. I felt hyped to it was the perfect time to watch it and actually finish it. And, what can I say, that was the right choice. Recently I even finished the manga, so I have some room to compare.
Main reason for my high rating is... there's nothing really I disliked. There were a lot of things I loved, that's for sure. The genre and
...
themes are all in line with what I like and search for in what I watch, but I was quite surprised when I finished watching and realized that I can't really point anything out. If I thought really hard about it, there could be some minor details, maybe. But when I was watching and after, nothing bothered me. When I think about Demon Slayer I only have good feelings and memories, so I'm grateful for that.
First of all, the art style and animation is obviously amazing. I noticed CGI at a few instances, but it wasn't that bad. But CGI is CGI, it still catches your eye and looks out of place if you notice that it's there. Other than that, the animation is top notch, especially in the fight scenes, where they use their special moves. A lot of vibrant colors, be it blue Water Style or red Dance of the Fire God or even yellow Thunder... The fluid and energetic movements... It really feels like everything from the manga came to life. Not only the fight scenes. Obviously, you can't properly express characters like Zenitsu or Inosuke on paper. When you hear Zenitsu's ridiculous screams and see Inosuke slamming his head into a tree like a maniac, it's just great.
I can actually remember some of the soundtrack which is strange, since I usually don't. Maybe it's because those are good songs, maybe because they really fit in the moment... Well, I can say the music is good.
My favourite part is the overall plot/characters/relationships/worldbuilding. Nezuko and Tanjiro are just such an amazing duo. Nezuko's special circumstances and cuteness make her really lovable. She saves the day multiple times and just by her defiant existance is bound to help much more, even though some people don't accept her. Zenitsu is very annoying at the beginning, but then you get used to him and see that he's a good person and can actually fight sometimes. Same with Inosuke, at first annoying with his desire to always fight but also funny and you get used to him. The backstory is quite interesting, with one person being the original demon who can turn others, or with the Demon Slayers who aren't recognized by law and not everyone knows that demons exist unless they meet them themselves. I liked how surprised Tanjiro was, seeing a big city for the first time, living his whole life in mountains. Some people make coal as their job, some people fight demons with their swords, some people ride trains. It's different everywhere.
tldr; yes

This is not an anime with deep plot, complicated issues, advanced universe... And I don't think anybody expected that from the art and description. You can definitely feel how this anime could be a stereotypical visual novel. This is actually just a happy story about a group of people. It's something that you can watch to relax. You don't have to think too hard - after all, Bakarina doesn't.
What brings you joy are the genuine friendships between characters, especially knowing how different everything would be without the protagonist's (or is it antagonist's?) influence. Those people have gotten close and fixed their main problems thanks to
...
having someone in their life, and now can depend on others in their little circle. Katarina is quite funny and her being dense at least doesn't make it awkward, since everyone else seems to know what's up. She doesn't even notice that her actions completely changed the plot, since he's not a mean person with no friends, that bullies others - she still expects those endings, like an idiot. Her solutions are definitely out of the box: let's grow vegetables, get a fake snake and get my new brother a complex! She definitely has the protag starter pack: being kind, smiling, stupidity, talk no jutsu, saving everyone, loves eating...
I can't say the story is that good, I've never seen that exact concept in an isekai but I don't watch a lot, also the last two episodes were kinda meh to me... Still, I enjoyed the rest, had fun watching it. Pretty basic, pretty wholesome.

Just gotta say, I love this anime. So I'm not afraid to rate it 10/10.
The overall plot/premise/world is just right up my alley, the fantasy genre, the protagonist with a unique power... The things I look for are all here, and were executed quite well. How can I put it into words? There's just something very engaging and exciting, following Subaru, trying to find out what and why happened, what can we do to avoid it, how it affects everything else, what awaits us on the other path, that there was actually something else all this time waiting... These kinds of things. And at
...
first glance it may seem impossible. How can I go through this and live? It seems like death is unavoidable, but I don't wanna leave them, I wanna make it better, these people don't deserve it. Every time making different memories, getting to know someone more and showing that there's more to them... And then finally getting the breakthrough, utilizing all the knowledge gained through suffering, because it wasn't just worthless and pointless. It is satisfying. To see alternate possibilities, to see all the failures, and to achieve an impossible win. Defying reality, defying the entire universe. There are thousands of ways to doom and nobody will ever know. Nobody but us.
So I guess that was me trying to describe why I liked it so much, using my emotions. Maybe some people will now better understand why I am so hyped? I like the story and characters, can't say anything bad about them, there was a lot of people of different factions and backgrounds, showing different sides of themselves depening on what happened, which I like. I have nothing against the art as well... About the sounds, I honestly only remember Call of the Witch, but I remember it very distinctly. It's so creepy, amazing.
By my rating standards, there wasn't a lot of things I disliked, and there was a loooot I liked, so I must rate high. But since I didn't touch upon things I don't like, I'm gonna mention it: cringe. I really dislike when anime has cringy moments, and this one had a few. The first big one was when Subaru called Emilia by the wrong name and she got mad. The redeeming quality of the cringe in Re:Zero is the fact, that at the end of the day, most of those moments didn't actually happen. Watching with that in mind really makes me feel better about it. Thanks, Re:Zero, very cool.
Overall, really liked it, and I know it's a pretty famous anime, some people call it overrated... Personally, can't agree. If you like fantasy, magic, superpowers, isekai... give it a try and watch an episode!

Everyone knows about this. It's a classic. One of the best and most famous. Still, I decided not to give it 10/10 like a lot of people would so I'll just say why.
The very beginning is the best part. It's better than 10/10, honestly. But this anime has certain 'milestones' and it gets worse each time. So I'd say it's at its peak for a few episodes, and my favourite part ends with Misora. (So when I rewatch Death Note it's to this moment, usually!) Then the anime gets slightly worse. The next time it happenes is with the voluntary confinement. Worse. Most people would
...
describe one very particular and important event from the anime as the moment it gets worse ;), but for me there's a lot of them, not gonna lie.
I love the premise and the characters, the supernatural parts and the mind games. I really like Light, he's such an interesting protagonist, but it seems like after the time skip something went wrong. I don't like this ending actually. I know what happened, but I paused and didn't watch it... eh. Never go full Kira. I mean, I think generally this ending is alright, like it makes sense for everything to end this way, even though it could be avoided, but I didn't like watching it when it comes to my personal emotions.

First of all, I'd like to say that Danganronpa is one of my favourite universes and I'm very thankful to the person who recommended this anime (and one more, Akuna no Riddle, but I didn't finish it xd) years ago while playing CAH online. What followed was me watching the anime, then watching a playthrough of the game, then watching SDR2, NDRv2 and also UDG, from various people. Still, when I see someone new take up this game I can't help it, and I watch a fulll playthrough to see how they like it, or a little bit to see some reactions. I sincerely love
...
it now. That's why I don't recommend this anime. Feel free to watch Danganronpa 3, the despair, future and hope arc. Feel free to watch the one World-Destroyer episode. That is new content, so why not, you won't find this in the games. But this is not worth watching, if you really wanna see what this is all about. And if you just wanna know the plot to "be informed" then idk, read a summary since it's faster.
When I watched this anime I genuinely didn't know what's going on half the time, since everything was going on fast like playing Sims in the triple speedup. It's just confusing and that's all. Do you know how many people have no idea what's going on during trials, after investigating the scene for 2 hours and having the chance to read truth bullets, but still fail repeatedly and don't use their brain? If they can't do it with all the help in the world, then how do you expect people to understand it clearly after skipping the investigation and rushing the trial? You just see characters come up with conclusions, but you won't be able to tell if it's right or wrong.
Does every video game turned into an anime go wrong? Apparently. I mean, I already wrote 2 reviews today saying that Satsuriku no Tenshi and Amnesia have a problem with that too. But this one is a little different you see. The plot is better suited for an adaptation, in my opinion. You can actually make out a story, even if this is not the best format for it. But Danganronpa games have 6 chapters + prologue and epilogue. Each chapter will take you a few hours to complete. Trying to squeeze it into 13 episodes, 20 minutes each is a mistake. Take the time to experience the game and maybe you'll love like so many other people do. If you like this concept after seeing the premise and reviews then it's probably worth it. In my humble opinion, every game just gets better when it comes to characters and you get used to how ridiculous it can be.
While Danganronpa has a dear place in my heart and I love the story, that's no reason to rate this highly. Still, it's not utterly worthless I guess? Once again, recommending the games. Even if you already watched this anime and don't want the game, completing the rest of the series will explain more about the circumstances and what happened. :)

Oh boii. Many years ago when I found out what word yaoi means I also found out about some anime related to this topic. And this is how I came upon this mistake.
This is one really weird universe. First of all, the aspect of virgins having animal ears and tails. Why. Second of all, those pairs of people that have some kind of abilities... for what. What's the point of any of this? There is no point. They just fight and get hurt for the sake of some drama.
Many people behave so so strangely. Like this grown man hitting on a schoolboy, or the
...
teacher that's relieved that he doesn't date anyone, or his whole family with that crazy mother and don't even get me started on his brother.
I really don't know what else to say. It's really bad. Not recommending it to anyone. It doesn't even have an ending. It doesn't explain anything. This is just a random mess.

Another example of video game logic in anime. If you want a coherent story, then no, no thanks. If you want something with deeper meaning then no. After watching you feel like you gained nothing, since it's ultimately a worthless experience. You can really tell that this is a visual novel. Main character doesn't have a name. You get a boyfriend after a boyfriend, each time they have a different story but you don't get much into it, there are always some problems, some tragedy, some drama, you don't know what's going on, you don't know what's real, you don't know why this strange creature
...
caused your amnesia and hopping between alternate universes for the convenient harem purposes.
It's not entirely bad, I guess. It's pretty, some events are interesting... but still, it doesn't make sense. Also, it has no ending. Obviously, since it's a harem visual novel.

THIS REVIEW CONTAINS SPOILERS
First of all... this anime isn't finished and it doesn't seem like there's ever gonna be season 2. It lowers my opinion a bit, like leaving a book with an open ending. I mean, she gathers her people and that should be when the story starts or the final battle should happen soon in most cases, right? But no. You get to meet them and that's where it ends and will never be picked up. (If they make another season I hope I'll change this part, heh...)
Let's start with the good part, since there's a lot of good reviews. I kinda love
...
the Dragons. They're all different, but enjoyable, different backstories and personalities, different attitude towards serving a princess, different way they joined her. We didn't see that much of the last one, but the first three I like the same. There were a lot of cute, funny and touching moments with them.
I also really liked the second opening, especially the beginning. It's really catchy. I still remember it. Eh.
There are a lot of things that I can say I didn't like. Watching this gives me the feeling "no realism, no reasons". (And also no ending.) And I don't like having this feeling when I watch anime. Or that I'm watching some stereotype...
First of all, the whole backstory and that prince and revenge is just so annoying. No, doesn't make sense to me. I'm pretty sure that even if I research why he does what he does, I'm gonna be mad and say that this is not the way to do what he wants to do. Some major mental problems maybe. Anyway, decide what you do and what you want, because I surely don't know what your deal is and I don't want you to try to redeem yourself. Just die or something, stop trying to mess with people's brains, all those positive scenes with him are getting on my nerves. Don't be a romantic interest. This is a reverse harem but get out of here.
Seconds of all, I usually prefer realism than: oh well, let's fall down this cliff and not die because trees :) Or when a battle is taking place and she's there doing Mary Sue things, like sitting and waiting or ohh, now I'm gonna help and throw myself on them! (I don't remember how it exactly went so don't @ me.) Or: to test your resolve now walk through this death trap to the only place where you can get this one plant that only blah blah blah.
The "now I'm gonna learn how to use a bow and have short hair, be brave but still kind to everyone, this is my character development from a sheltered princess!" feels kinda superficial. I just don't like the vibes I'm getting from many things. Not my fault. But I'm really not a fan of Yona, and usually the protagonist is my favourite character or at least very up there, so something's wrong here.
tldr; Dragons are cool
