I haven't seen as much as I should... I'm a wannabe-weeb I've got lots of work ahead, as you can see Hope y'all enjoy my list 7u7 I must also say I'm proud of being a fking degenerate UwU Finally, due to how the titles in my "PTW" are organized, I kinda effed up my mean score My actual Mean Score would be around 7.32 Deviating from MAL by an average of -.4 So, yeah, don't mind that 3.9 Explanation below, on "About my List" Now, I must say I get pretty passive-aggressive on my "About my List", and I'm GENUINELY sorry if it offends you in some way. It's just I truly hate the toxicity people get from how they score stuff. Please, don't let it scare you. I'm actually a pretty chill guy that will always respect your taste, however trash it may be ;3 Ok, so, sorry to all of the purists out there. My MAL must be an atrocity to you, but it's all part of the system. TL;DR: THIS is how my Plan to Watch should be viewed. Or, if you prefer, this is them reversed, showing first those that I TRULY really want to watch. And my scores are whatever I want. Deal with it(Also, I use the Rewatch Values to indicate wether it's a high/low score, as shown in THIS order). Ok, I have to get the issue about my "Plan to Watch" out of the way. As you may see, I have more than 600 titles in it. If I didn't organize it, I wouldn't be able to watch anything. No order, no anime. And the "Priority" section isn't enough. Therefore, I also score them, but backward. That's why my MAL Mean Score is so low. Movies and not-yet-aired ones don't have a score. After that, come the shows I want to prioritize the most, with a score of 1, then those that I'll want to watch afterward, with a 2. Think of it like "1st", "2nd", etc. This goes on until "7th". All of these divisions are also sub-divided by priority, therefore turning into a segmented list that I can follow, where I can advance on the rest(and I even divide it more, prioritizing those that I have written a Tag for). Therefore, THIS is how it should be viewed (now, there are, of course, some exceptions, where they go straight to "On Hold", ready to be binged as soon as possible). Or, if you prefer, this is them reversed, showing first those that I TRULY really want to watch. This leads me to how I judge to determine number and priority: It's usually just affinity. At least from tiers 1-3 are. From 4-5 are those that at first glance seem KIND OF generic, or repetitive. 6 and 7 are just ecchi shows. My degenerate side. Priority is harder to explain though... It's just a non-scientific desire to watch it. Titles I'm hyped for, that I "Need" to watch. It all just helps to organize everything. Sorry if it damages your opinion of the pure MAL Mean Score. Do please take into account that because of this I calculate my Actual Mean Score manually. So... let's get this out of the way... I don't care about the animation. To me, it doesn't matter if it looks old, or if its cgi doesn't match with the 2d. As long as it's not like a friggin' Ex-Arm or Berserk 2016, if it has a good story, I'll judge it appropriately. This also applies in reverse. Even if its animation gives orgasms to the brain(that can also be done with old ones, but whatever), I will give it a bad score if it has a boring story with dull characters. That said... I score based on enjoyment. Story, Characters and message (in that order), alongside how easy they are to comprehend, come first. That should explain it all. I'm sorry my Actual Mean Score isn't below 5. 10- Must watch. 8- Good but not for everyone. 6- Flawed 4- No one should watch it. 2- It should have never existed Also, I really like the feature of Rewatch Value. I use it on all of my titles, so if you're interested, please feel free to check it out. I use it to identify between a truly high score, and a low one. Sure, maybe two titles are on the same score, but while one is a Very High 9, the other one may be a Low one. Here you can see them in order. And if they turn out to be "backward" for you... well... Sorry, I guess, that turned out to be a little "worse" for you... I just wish it could be more visible. So, remember those 3 pillars of a Waifu? On my list design I place all those that fulfill the 3rd one. It doesn't matter if they fulfill the rest. It hasn't reached its final form yet, because I haven't watched enough. The same goes with my banner, that I want to fill with my "signature" shows. I'll complete it someday... And the background will function as a tier list on its own. Sure, I might already be doing that on my favorites, but whatever. Now, if you'd like to apply something similar to your list, just drop this .list-table > tbody:nth-of-type(2n+1), .list-table, .list-container{ background-color: transparent !important; border: 0 transparent solid !important; } .list-table .list-table-data .data{ border: 0 transparent solid !important; } .status-menu-container{ background-color: rgba(0,0,0,.8) !important; } .cover-block { padding-left: 17px; padding-right: 17px; } .list-block, .cover-block{ background-color: rgba(0,0,0,.7) !important; } on your customized list design's CSS. Then you may add whatever picture you desire. For mine, I made a word doc and turned it into a jpg. It took a bunch of effort, and that's why it will take a while to complete the ultimate version, but it will be worth it. Just to write something here, ALL of my favorites are in order from top-down: most-favorite to least( but, of course, a favorite is still a favorite). This is odd, because even though I judge by enjoyment, not all 10/10s are my favorites(I mean, right now they are, but...). My favorites are those that leave an impact on me. That shape me. That compliment my taste. They are the ones I enjoy the most, but they won't always respect the scores. This also shows on their order, as I apply it from Most favorite to least. Next, I shall leave a small thought on each of the titles. Also, I haven't gotten to a top 10 because I don't think I've seen enough shows. Once I get to 132 completed titles, I'll add the next 5, and make my 3x3, over on "My Trash Taste™".
Ok, so, the only Manga I can want to read right now would be ecchi ones... Mainly because other types I would love to read physically, which isn't very possible at the moment... This is why my Manga List is filled with ecchi. My favorite I place here just because, that can be set as a favorite although it hasn't been approved on MAL, "A Pervert's Daily Life". It's friggin' beautiful, hot and wholesome, and, goddamn it, I friggin' identify myself with them sometimes. If you haven't read it yet, you should. Even if it's not on MAL yet. Definitely a must-read for degenerates. I'm not a simp, You're a simp! "what is simp?... Do you mean Shrimp?" Though these may not be the best characters ever, they are the ones I love. I present to you, my Waifu Tier list. They may come from any show with any score as long as they show the 3 pillars of a good waifu within them. Now, because I haven't watched that much, I don't have much to choose from, and trust me, there's quite a gap below Misato for more to come. I guess I could add Husbandos, but no, top 10 Waifus will do. These are the pillars of a good Waifu: 1- Badass: Sure, we'll defend them from uncultured individuals, but they gotta be able to kick the competition away by themselves. Whether with words, status, or abilities. All goes in these Waifu wars. 2- Good: A quirk, a good personality, a good development. Something other than looks that makes you glad they're on screen when they are. Speaking of which... 3- Sexyness. Because, of course. But remember, it don't matter if thicc or flat UwU. You know, just something that makes you go "damn..." Also, here I kinda sub-tier them by probability, and realistic-ness. The more possible they are in this world, the better. So, can we get the fact that having a category for people is weird out of the way? Ok, thanks So, I still don't have any. Humans aren't worthy. Seriously though, there are some that I would consider, but here's the reason why they're not there (or at least not yet) Hideaki Anno: He crafted my favorite piece of media and then trashed it. He denigrates his own masterpiece, and that will never not upset me. At least he expressed that others have the liberty to make their own Eva, which I appreciate(and I'll someday take advantage of :'3 (as seen on my notes on NGE on "My Favorite Anime")), but still. Hayao Miyazaki: "Anime is a mistake", the fact that he's a d to everyone but himself, etc... Makoto Shinkai: Haven't seen enough of his creations Satoshi Kon: Haven't seen enough of his creations Junji Ito: Haven't read his mangas Shirou Sagisu is there cuz he's a genius. She(my waifu) will probably always be my Top Tier Waifu on my Favorites Just look at that beauty... Even if somehow another rivals Mitsuha, I'm still not sure if I'd change my profile pic... And THIS is where I'd put my 3x3... If I HAD ONE! To be honest, I don't really feel comfortable declaring my taste like that with the number of shows I've watched. I WILL eventually make one, but later. This is also the reason why I haven't filled my Favorite 10 shows (as I mention on "My Favorites" section). Now, honestly, they both might turn out very similarly, my top 10 just ending as the same thing but with an honorable mention. We'll see. For now, please take my 5 favorites as a representation of my taste. They're pretty diverse and I stand by all of them (Also, if you must know, I'm planning on organizing my 3x3 like an alignment chart from D&D, in a way. For example, NGE, my favorite creation of all time, will go on the middle right, Chaotic Neutral) So, as an Average Drawings Enjoyer, I find myself with pretty big opinions about this Art. I've already written them before, so I'll display them here, where they can be viewed in an appropriate context. This is kind of a personal, biased, unfounded essay on "Society's View on Cartoons". And, please, let's not get pissed about what is a cartoon and what is Anime. This is a love letter to all of them (I think I'll also have to make a blog for it...) So, I know a guy with less than 100 titles threatening with calling your taste trash and implying his is pretty good is... Pretentious. So, what I'll show here is a bunch of shows I know and want to watch that I feel I could recommend, even if I haven't watched them, alongside a brief description based on what I know. This might be out of line, coming from me, but I want to show that I actually do know the titles of my list, and I do know my anime. (this... might also have to go someplace else...) But here's something that I feel I can say to you all without feeling over the top. Do whatever you want with your list. Give whatever scores you want. Watch whatever you like. Don't mind all the hate and other comments on the community, we're not all like that. After all, we are here to watch, share and enjoy anime. So come on, relax, and do as you please UwU This "About Me" is still in Development
