Predictable from start to finish. You just KNOW how it's gonna end and how it's gonna play out and that makes it a bit of a boring watch when there's no surprises or twists. They re-use the exact same sequence for the powers every time regardless of the situation or the pressure in the moment. Nope, every time we have a full length sequence that gets boring REAL quick!

The characters... oh man. 95% of the characters are flat and basic, boring and cliché or straight up annoying as hell and you are praying for their downfall. The one tolerable character in my opinion is ... Luke and that's partially because he's pretty but also partially because he's a main character and they actually bother to flesh out his personality and story more than a couple of off-hand comments or stray scenes that end up never being touched upon again...

But overall, between the predictable plot, the predictable ending and the cast of mostly easily forgettable characters... I suffered through this but I did not enjoy myself.

In my opinion, this is one of the best series in the game-genre trope. Some of the jokes are actually funny and not the usual drivel you get in anime that ATTEMPT humour and yet only make you cringe. The characters continue to be interesting and entertaining, we see some development in certain characters over others (for example Bilac gets some great screentime and development which is great because Bilac is top tier!) The animation rarely does the classic 're-using this action sequence more than once and hoping you don't notice' gimick. I think I can only list two occasions I noticed this and I ... didn't mind it honestly. (Some series do it to much to the point it becomes so glaringly obvious-)

The opening themes continue to slap, every single OP for this series is an absolute bop?? The animation continues to be nice and the fight scenes are engaging and exciting. I don't go from 2D to 3D to 2D to 3D and wonder what exactly I'm watching... There's some particularly nice animation later in the series to give a specific effect within a game which I found to be a clever idea.

Overall I really adore this series and I think it keeps getting better! And best of all? Absolutely zero fanservice, there's no sudden boob shots or questionable audio where you have to keep checking over your shoulder in FEAR!

Actually the most dreadful piece of garbage I've seen this season???

If the overused Amnesia trope wasn't already a big red warning tape to run and never look back, the anime has the ridiculous notion that making one of the main characters proclaim "nipple hair!" every freaking episode is how humour works. It's frankly not funny at all, it's cringe at best and sheer disturbing at worst. The focus on that and literal public 'porno' trading scenarios are just... I came here to watch Baseball, not whatever this is? (Also, the fact these grown-ass teenagers are calling each other 'doo-doo heads' like what?)

Going back to ... said Amnesia trope, it's almost as bad as Re-Main; where surprise surprise, the once serious athlete gets amnesia and turns into a complete goof... This anime does that, but somehow EVEN worse. Episode after episode we have to endure the main character whine and complain how he doesn't want to play baseball and then plays baseball, while STILL whining... Frankly he needs a couple more baseballs to the head and get his memory back before I lose my own braincells.

Moving along, the animation style is frankly so far down the drain from what I'm used to from Mappa that it might as well be underground. Half the scenes look like I drew them (and I can't draw anything but stick figures.) There's one scene where one of the characters runs off into the distance and he's literally not moving, his size isn't changing and the image of him is just being moved further up the page. It's lazy and low effort... Other scenes just frankly disfigure the characters so much in attempts of humour, elongated faces with no mouths and all that jazz that just make me wonder what exactly they're spending their budget on (and why we could have had Ice Adolescence instead of this garbage.)

Honestly, the entire anime is a mess, the characterization is all over, the plot seems barely present at best (shoved aside for immature attempts at humour) and the best thing about it every week is when the credits start rolling.

An absolute delight! This is one of my favourites this season, even with some of the other amazing titles in competition. The anime itself is both chill and relaxing but with a dash of action and a surprising amount of comedy that actually had the ability to make me laugh, none of those weak jokes or predictable puns that just make me roll my eyes, but instead trying to hide giggles.

The characters all looks great, some nice refreshing designs instead of the same generic black haired MC, and almost all the characters are adorable and interesting. I think nearly every single one I've become invested ... in knowing and seeing more of!

Whether its hijinks getting in the way of him seeing Panda's or his favourite snacks being replaced by something else (horrified gasp) the humour is top tier. I feel like it slightly has the vibes of Saiki K? Just nice little 'short comedic stories' within an episode. Awesome stuff!

Just a guy, his giant wolf and a slime, traveling to new places, meeting new people and having so many lovely looking meals that make me ridiculously hungry everytime!

It's a lovely, relaxing twist on the typical summoned to another world trope, wherein the main character does have an overpowered skill like usual, but in that this one isn't combat related at all! While there's little plot to be seen, it doesn't really NEED anything more? It's so laid back and peaceful with the occasional little training montage, some comedic gags here and there and just a generally pleasant and easy watch!

While the animation is super duper pretty and make for a really lovely visual experience, the plot left much to be desired. The initial premise, the location, the minor past we're shown are rather unique and my expectations were a lot higher than the movie I ended up watching. There was a lot of lost potential in my opinion and there certainly is better alternative movies that I would recommend instead of this one. The characters felt mostly generic or boring, I didn't connect with any of them. The music was another decent aspect though, I did enjoy the accompanying audio, it felt fitting and ... almost whimsical, but it wasn't enough to drag this any higher than a 6/10 personally.

All in all, the only strong point is the visuals and the music.

I'm quite a big fan of the Akatsuki no Yona series, to the extent that I have actually rewatched the entire series more than once. I think the sound/music used for it is really nice too, it reminds me of Mulan which sounds a bit cliche but it's rather fitting to me, since the main characters are somewhat similar.

(Yes I did just compare anime to Disney, sue me.)

My favorite character is Zeno, who unfortunately doesn't get too much air time in the main series, appearing only towards the end. I think that overall though, the characters are all rather well portrayed, and Zeno's voice is ... perfect for his character!

I really liked the manga, which I read after watching the series, and I really hope that they make a second series for this anime, because it would be truly a shame if they didn't make any more content.

Overall, a rather good watch, which occasionally urges me to rewatch it ^^
