Both mangas are about lives of samurais who strive to become stronger. There is fascinating swordsmanship, ups and downs of characters, some romance too. A lot of deaths and blood, typical of Japan of that days. It's quite realistic in that way. Interesting thing: - Vagabond setting is right after the victory of the Tokugawa Clan at the Battle of Sekigahara (16th century) and Sidooh setting is right before the end of the Tokugawa Shogunate (19th century). It's like the beginning and the ending of the Tokugawa reign. In addition, both of them has very good art. So if you are interested in the stories about samurai and japan, you shouldn't miss them.

To begin with, both series are Korean gang sagas. Main characters were wrapped in Korean mafia wars. Despite of not wanting connecting with underworld, they were forced to get stronger in order to protect. Martial arts, violence and awesome, specific art make series even better for reading...

If you like Action, Horror, Psychological, Seinen... And of course Fantasy (Kiseijuu is Sci-Fi, while Ajin is Supernatural), you'll enjoy these animes. There are big changes in high school students' lives, when they realize they aren't ordinary humans anymore. They're trying to live peacefully, while humans are hunting "monsters" (parasytes or demi-humans) and monsters are planing to take governance in their hands. But things aren't going as well as protagonists wanted to... And both animes have similar atmosphere, so if you liked Kiseijuu: Sei no Kakuritsu, you should watch Ajin.

Both of them are about samurais of the end of the Edo period and beginning of the Meiji period. It can be said that "Rurouni Kenshin" setting is right after the "Hakouoki". Furthermore, after adding some supernatural elements in both of them, they're even more interesting. So if you are interested in samurai stories and in 1860's japan, you shouldn't miss them.

Both animes are classic Sci-Fi, Road Trip, Adventure, Comedy... There are not supernatural powers in them, but you'll meet some enhanced people by scientific methods. Awesome action using guns and some sci-fi weapons. Plus "Wild West" atmosphere in both of them. Difference is that one is Space Opera while other is Post-Apocalyptic.
