I re-read this amazing manga again and I had to write a review. Earthian is a boys love story about angels who have to observe earthians as minus and plus checkers, it might seem like a simple episodic story at first but it gets much deeper and more serious, this manga deals with many sensitive topics such as prejudice, incest, sins, androids and of course homosexual love and how its considered a forbidden act punishable by death I felt all these topics were done very well. there are two gay couples in this manga Chihaya and Kagetsuya, and Michael and Raphael in a way I
...
feel Chihaya and Kagetsuya serve as foils towards Michael and Raphael because they would rather break the rules of eden and love each other instead of having to hide it, while Michael and Raphael always kept their love a secret to so they aren't "sinning" with Raphael even marrying a woman that he cant have a child with from not being sexually attracted to her, and likewise its revealed she actually was attracted to a woman in the past as well the difficulty of having children on eden due to a lack of genuine love and sexual attraction that angels feel towards the opposite sex is one of the biggest things in the story. The main characters of this manga are all pretty deep they got flaws and good qualities personally my favorite is Chihaya I absolutely adore his character, even with all the prejudice he faces he remained kind hearted and cheerful, and you will see him mature as the story goes on. the artwork is very nice I thought the characters all were drawn beautifully., I highly recommend this classic to all BL fans This is a good boys love for people who want a story that focuses more on plot and romance instead of only sex.

This underrated show was one of my favorite shoujo anime when I was 13 and I still really love it ! its abit like a magical girl take on fairytales to a degree what I really liked is this anime does not really follow the typical magical girl formula I feel it stands out on its own and it has more depth to it than what you would expect , the characters are all pretty likeable and go through development Himeno and Hayate have the classic tsundere thing going on mainly with Hayate who starts off really cold be he warms up to her and
...
falls in love with her its pretty much expected but I really liked watching their relationship grow, and its explained why he puts on a cold act later on which makes his personality understandable, the designs are very nice with attractive male characters for the classic bishie lovers like me animation is good for its time this was 2001 when computer animation was still a new thing I got nothing bad to say about it. Music is good I always adored the opening song. This anime has romance, comedy and drama some parts have made me close to crying ! so if you are into that sort of thing this should be the show for you. thankfully it has a very satisfying ending, which left me happy despite the sad parts. I would recommend this to anyone that likes a good shoujo romance anime and magical girls. yes giving it a 10 since I felt it did a great job at what its meant for. I did not find anything I disliked.

Read it all in one day. this story has pretty much everything I enjoy in a boys love, an interesting story and characters, beautiful art work and character designs (the characters are all very attractive haha Canale is one of the prettiest characters I seen), unexpected twists, drama with heartwarming moments and a happy ending. I got absolutely nothing negative to say about this manga its the right length as well not overly short to the point of feeling like there has to be more and not so long that it feels like things are slow/dragging the pace is all perfect id highly recommend this
...
to anyone that enjoys a good boys love story with beautiful men. the sequel/prequel manga Corsair - Eigetsu id highly recommend as well it focuses on two of the characters Yani and Sesaam and their relationship which is not shown much in the original corsair its shorter since its mostly a flashback explained from Yani's point of view. anyhow I give this a full 10 since I enjoyed it so much and could not find any negatives in the story <3

my first time giving such a low rating on anything I watched and its for a good reason. I'm a big fan of samurai troopers and this being the final ova of the entire franchise was a huge let down. there is barely any actual story going on and not much is really explained, several minutes of each episode is just flashbacks from the tv series and there is no action, no power of friendship nothing from what made the tv series and other two ovas great, I felt bored and confused while watching this I feel they were trying to do something deep
...
here by putting random philosophical ramblings instead of actual dialogue between the characters, only thing I say I liked was the art and seeing new armor designs...but we don't even get to see them fight in them. this was a waste of time there is no point in watching this it adds nothing to the samurai troopers I know and love.

just finished the entire series and figured id give a review since this anime is not really talked about by english speakers
the voice acting and music/soundtrack is very good I found the music very catchy and fitting. Shurato is what id say is what Saint seiya would be if it was an isekai with hindu myths.
Shurato is very similar to Saint seiya and has been compared to it, it was clearly influenced by it as this came just around the same time as Saint Seiya's hype, Saint seiya inspired a trend of what id call "magical boys in armor" it was shortly lived though
...
as Shurato and ronin warriors are really the only other anime like this. It has the theme of myths, gods, magical armors and traitors much like Saint seiya does, Despite this though it still had enough differences in the story and characters for it not be like you are watching the same show.
the animation was good for the first 23 episodes by 1989 standards, but starting in episode 24 the animation had a huge drop in quality sometimes the characters look straight up badly drawn in these episodes and certain details are left uncolored but thankfully it gets much better again by episode 35. the character designs are pretty good with cool looking armors.
the title character Shurato, is alot like the standard shounen protagonist he's hot headed and somewhat childish and dumb but he has a good heart and proves to be a good warrior, at times I found Shurato's ignorance and impulsiveness abit annoying but, otherwise I think Shurato is good for the type of character he's supposed to be and he does go through some development the shurato in episode 1 compared to the last episode feels pretty different. the hachibushu are generally pretty good characters I got nothing bad to say about them the flamboyant Reiga stands out as a pretty likeable character, Hyuga and Ryoma are great as well . Gai is the one I found most interesting he is remembered to be a very kind gentle person that would not even hurt a fly, so its a huge shock to shurato that he has became cruel and filled with evil on tenkukai especially since he is also part of the hachibushu and should be on the same side, the series often focuses on Shurato and Gai's friendship and the mystery to why yasha-oh got reincarnated into being an evil warrior it all gets revealed and resolved in the bittersweet ending of their conflict. Overall id suggest this anime to saint seiya fans due to the similarities but also to anyone that likes old school shounen anime and anime that focuses on myths. I found it pretty enjoyable to watch it was not too long or too short the pace felt just right. I rate this 9/10 despite it maybe not being entirely perfect it got a high ranking due to the fact that I never felt bored watching it, the characters and story are memorable and I don't have many complaints about it overall.
