Both Mirai Nikki and Deadman Wonderland are fairly odd series but what comes from them is blood, gore and a ton of fun. To start, both series aren't the smartest or most intelligent but what makes them so great? Well that comes from the enjoyment factor. In both anime you will find yourself cringing and the stupidity and lack or intelligence but just can't help to laugh it off and have a blast. Onwards, both series have very similar characters. First you have the wimpy crybaby protagonist. Second you have the crazy, scary, yandere, stalker heroine. and for the rest you have some of the weirdest and craziest characters ever made in anime. For further similarity both anime have similar plot devices. Where the protagonists end up in a crazy death game with supernatural or special abilities/powers. If your looking for something fun with a lot of blood a gore these two will suit your desire.

While NHK divulges much deeper into a variety of psychological issues present within the constraints of ones home, whilst also presenting a particularly dark sense of humour. If you like one for its focus on characters, investigation into relevant issues and quirky atmosphere, you'll be sure to like the other.

Both this arc and Elfen Lied start with what seems to be a chick going crazy and killing people with what seems to be telekinetic abilities. From there the story progresses into the personal struggles and issues with these girls, whilst also investigating what happened to them in the past. If you like one for its investigative story and excessive level or gore and nudity you’ll be sure to like the other.

While Seirei no Moribito focuses on its protagonist protecting and becoming the guardian of the lands prince as he it sort to be sacrificed by the emperor to save the land due to the manifestation of a water demon within him. Overall, both are great series about journeys through life as the characters evolve and develop as people. Containing both investigation into the supernatural environment and plenty of action. Both are series I can easily recommend, especially if your a fan of the genre.

Gantz differs as a group of deceased individuals are brought back to life, given futuristic technology and forced to battle against opposing threats. While Zetman features a not so ordinary man who can transform into the monstrous superhuman known as Zet, where he is tasked to take down other man-made monsters. Overall, if your a big fan of action packed sci-fi stories about fighting against monstrous beings, I urge you to go and check these series out.

Both manga show little mercy as disturbing elements such as gore, rape and betrayal become common place. Battle Royale differs being a prominent character drama, as it showcases each characters very nature by looking at their individual sufferings and history. Meanwhile, Btooom! is more focused on character rivalries and battles as the characters face up against each other using specialised booms to try and kill each other. So, if your a big fan of survival stories with a last man standing scenario that features complete brutality, I urge you to go and give these two series a read.

Overall, both are great reads especially if your a fan of sci-fi stories set within a distopia.

Both stories tell tales of a negative upbringing through abuse and isolation as the protagonist becomes separated from society and begins a negative view to life. Both manga deal with the theme of suicidal thoughts as the protagonist struggles to find their own place or reason of being. So, if your looking for a phenomenal manga that tells of a disturbing and depressive life I highly recommend you begin reading one of these immediately. Both will have you hooked and are amongst my favourites pieces within the manga industry.
