Both Mirai Nikki and Deadman Wonderland are fairly odd series but what comes from them is blood, gore and a ton of fun. To start, both series aren't the smartest or most intelligent but what makes them so great? Well that comes from the enjoyment factor. In both anime you will find yourself cringing and the stupidity and lack or intelligence but just can't help to laugh it off and have a blast. Onwards, both series have very similar characters. First you have the wimpy crybaby protagonist. Second you have the crazy, scary, yandere, stalker heroine. and for the rest you have some of the weirdest and craziest characters ever made in anime. For further similarity both anime have similar plot devices. Where the protagonists end up in a crazy death game with supernatural or special abilities/powers. If your looking for something fun with a lot of blood a gore these two will suit your desire.

A sense of quirkiness, attention to characters, some romantic development and investigation to psychological issues. Both Planetes and NHK deal with psychological issues present within there independent settings, whilst also containing a similar quirky sense of humour. Planetes differs as a Sci-fi with a much larger cast of characters, whilst also divulging into political and societal issues. While NHK divulges much deeper into a variety of psychological issues present within the constraints of ones home, whilst also presenting a particularly dark sense of humour. If you like one for its focus on characters, investigation into relevant issues and quirky atmosphere, you'll be sure to like the other.

Elfen Lied is particularly similar to Kara no Kyoukai's "Tsuukaku Zanryuu/Remaining Sense of Pain" arc. Both this arc and Elfen Lied start with what seems to be a chick going crazy and killing people with what seems to be telekinetic abilities. From there the story progresses into the personal struggles and issues with these girls, whilst also investigating what happened to them in the past. If you like one for its investigative story and excessive level or gore and nudity you’ll be sure to like the other.

Both stories contain the element of mystery as the characters investigate the past, where they slowly unravel the truth of their predicament. Elfen Lied differs as the story investigates the protagonists repressed past. While the story of Another features the characters trapped in a curse where they make attempt to escape, by investigating past cases. So, if your a big fan of an investigative story-line that contains people being ripped to shreds and dying at ever corner, it's likely you will love both series.

Well I have two manga for you, the only major difference is that One Outs focuses on baseball, while Akagi focuses on Mahjong.

While Seirei no Moribito focuses on its protagonist protecting and becoming the guardian of the lands prince as he it sort to be sacrificed by the emperor to save the land due to the manifestation of a water demon within him. Overall, both are great series about journeys through life as the characters evolve and develop as people. Containing both investigation into the supernatural environment and plenty of action. Both are series I can easily recommend, especially if your a fan of the genre.

The only major difference between these two works is the gender difference between the pair. Overall, both were decent to read and are series that I can recommend reading.

Darwin's Game differs with more deadly stakes were its characters are pitted to kill each other, while Accel World features a more prominent story of character growth as its lead develops to become a powerful figure in and outside the game. Overall, if your looking for a series where characters are forced to battle against each other with specific abilities through the cause of program that connects to the real world, then these two series while fit your desire.

The world is being overrun by monsters, how could we possibly hope to survive? What chance do we have? Well, thankfully we have the man power necessary to defend against such a threat. Both series are sci-fi horror stories about fighting against monstrous beings. Both series are action heavy and feature a lot of gore and death. Gantz differs as a group of deceased individuals are brought back to life, given futuristic technology and forced to battle against opposing threats. While Zetman features a not so ordinary man who can transform into the monstrous superhuman known as Zet, where he is tasked to take down other man-made monsters. Overall, if your a big fan of action packed sci-fi stories about fighting against monstrous beings, I urge you to go and check these series out.

You're sent to a mysterious island and are given one goal that is... TO KILL EVERYONE! Both manga are heavily based on survival as the character attempt to escape the horror of a death game. Both manga show little mercy as disturbing elements such as gore, rape and betrayal become common place. Battle Royale differs being a prominent character drama, as it showcases each characters very nature by looking at their individual sufferings and history. Meanwhile, Btooom! is more focused on character rivalries and battles as the characters face up against each other using specialised booms to try and kill each other. So, if your a big fan of survival stories with a last man standing scenario that features complete brutality, I urge you to go and give these two series a read.

Both manga are hardcore sci-fi's that feature a motorcycling badass causing mayhem in a distopian world. Within both series you will find a lot of action and grotesque imagery. Biomega differs where agents are sent to retrieve human that can resist the ongoing N5S infection. While Akira features a story of gaining power and the consequences of obtaining such power. Overall, both are great reads especially if your a fan of sci-fi stories set within a distopia.

Both are dark depressive stories through life told with an autobiographical sense of style, where the reader is able to connect with the internal mental struggles within the protagonists. Both stories tell tales of a negative upbringing through abuse and isolation as the protagonist becomes separated from society and begins a negative view to life. Both manga deal with the theme of suicidal thoughts as the protagonist struggles to find their own place or reason of being. So, if your looking for a phenomenal manga that tells of a disturbing and depressive life I highly recommend you begin reading one of these immediately. Both will have you hooked and are amongst my favourites pieces within the manga industry.
