This is a hard one to write but definitely give this a watch if youre a seiota (seiyuu otaku) like me lol. In the anime we got hella loads of famous seiyuus (check above), but ofc the plot is not all that impressive. I did get a few good laugh or two but that's it. Nothing special about this but if you're bored and have nothing else to watch like me, yeah you can watch it to waste your time but if you're looking for something meaningful, there's not much to find in this anime tbh. I wouldn't really classify it as SoL tbh cause ... there's not much character depth and development, the plot doesnt really go anywhere and the humor is sometimes there, sometimes not really.

If anyone is looking for a different type of MC, whos more to rational thinking and not the save everyone type, do read this manga.
I might get flamed for this cause there was a lot of people calling Kei (the MC) an asshole, maybe he is but he is totally relatable for me.
I'm super tired of MCs who feel like they have to save everyone and the hero/saviour complex type. Kei is such a breath of fresh air. To me, he's the star of the show (others would probably say Satou is, and they're not wrong as well). Satou does make the plot more interesting. ... I love seeing the many creative ways he uses the black ghost to defend/ kill other people. The plot was okay-ish for me, I focused more on the characters rather than the plot tbh. This manga is definitely not for everyone cause I see a lot of people not liking Kei lmao but the premise (the Ajin) is interesting enough for me.

Not gonna lie, I was browsing through the top something mangas and i opened this tab to see what is it about and went and closed it. Little did I know I missed such a gold mine. So skipping a few months later, I decided to give this a try and holy --- im shooked at how good it was. Masterpiece, even. The plot seems weird at first but the way Noda-sensei intricately wove all the characters involved is so amazing. The best part about this manga imo is the characters. No other manga has the cast this stacked tbh (again, imo). Its so hard ... to find faults in this manga. Thats just how amazing it is.

First off, lets start with the characters. You get introduced to characters that suddenly get involved with each other but it doesnt feel awkward at all since everyone has their own goals. Its not weird at all that today's enemies will become tomorrow's friend (i forgot the proverb or something, this is not my native language ._.) Every single backstory is super impactful and when you get the revelation, its so shocking (imo). Im trying to be as vague as possible lmao but theres just so many good characters, all of them even fall under the gray area (my fav trope), everyone has a valid reason for seeking the gold and the way some of them betray and cooperate with each other is so satisfying and amusing to see. What a superb writing skills shown by Noda. The humor is also just nice to see, i did laugh several times. The way Noda teaches about the Ainu culture was interesting as well (not sure how accurate it is but still, it intrigued me). All in all, just.. give this a try like I did. I guarantee you won't regret it.

I didn't expect I would enjoy this series lmao. It's not your usual anime for sure. I love figuring things out and mapping the timeline cause it is kinda confusing if you didn't pay attention. The big reveal at the end was the best lmao. Imo that was the highlight of the show (despite the show not giving any priority to any characters, or they gave the same priority to everyone) but somehow I know the Rail Tracer was gonna steal the show lol. The opening is a vibe and the ending is good too. I love how they hide some details in the opening ... that you can only find out after you've watched the story. Overall, it's a fun experience to watch this. Sure it might not hold any deeper meaning (maybe it does and i didnt bother to check) but it was joyful ride, i was gripping my seat every episode trying to figure out where the story will take me.

My first review ever so bear with me lol. This is seriously a masterpiece for people who likes Slice of Life and Drama genre.
I gave the first season a 9/10 but the second season really takes the cake. I would give it 12/10 if i could. Anyways, if you like stories with a lot of self introspection, give this a try. There's so many values of life and philosophy to be taken from this anime. Another thing I would praise is the use of OST and the scene directing. It somehow feels like you're watching a few hours long movie because of how cinematic ... most of the scenes are. All the characters used (even the extras) served their function to give the main characters (for the arc) some depth and characterisation. The writing is immaculate.
