Written by Kafka Asagiri, illustrated by Sango Harukawa and under Bones studio, Bungou Stray Dogs, an anime filled with supernatural action has totally made it for bring us cool characters and several unpredictable elements through it episode one by one. What can I say? I just sit and watch it with “good hopes” about the anime and believe it or not that hopes really fulfilled at the end. Although, the good hopes I mention in here not all of em are answered by this season, there are several reasons why I give 7 (seven) for this despite the fact of my desire to give it
...
an eight (I wish I could but still my final whole score is 7 (seven)). Well, why the score is 7 (seven) not 8 (eight)? I’ll explain it further below.
(*) Story
Centers on several people who are gifted with supernatural powers and how they use them to do some various activities, for an example like the main characters did for a living as a member of association named Armed Detective Agency. The activities started from problem solving through some cases, catching culprit to bomb disposal. Well, sounds too much? Nope! Because both the writer and the director has succeed to deliver that package directly to the audience without side issue of little importance at the first. I certainly have to admire the creators for not throwing much garbage in the beginning though there’s some episode not fully whole action. But, I liked the story idea very much. I think this kind of story could be a favorite for an anime fans who like an action genre. I don’t recommend this anime to a fans that like full action without background story. Cause this anime show some short explanation about character’s point of view and cases through several event and condition for approximately 24 (twenty four) minutes each of episode. I felt that kind of short but whatever, I still watch the anime though.
For the beginning of the story, I admit it that I quite confused about how the story started. Suddenly, there’s an orphan who complaining in the side of long river about himself after terrible event happened to him. What I confused at that time is that, what kind of action story that the writer want to show with those kind of start? Will it be like an amazing superhero action, an extraordinary magic action or maybe a “boring” one? I added the “boring” one because I thought the good visual is trick from the creators so we can’t denied to watch it. But, after I watched the end of first episode to third episode I’m sorry that I ever thought about this anime that way. Cause especially from the third episode the story suddenly twist into cool and awesome action with little surprise essence from the characters that existed. Indeed, I have to disappointed that near the end the creators still add the introduction one of character which I thought it doesn’t need to. But again, as a matter of fact it well received and paid in the end of the last episode.
I love the creator’s idea to make this story not so serious, added by some little dramatized comedy that makes me giggles several times. For an example like in second episode when one of the main characters got stuck in a barrel for a reason that awkardly ridiculous.
In conclusion, I think for this season the creators did a story focus to introduce the main and the villain caharacters, not focus to main or ideal conflict to it climax or anti climax of the story yet. There’s still a lot of homework for the creators or I’d rather say there’s event that need more to explain and that includes the past of the story and the impact of them to the characters, villain’s true intention, and many other secret that important to known by the audience. And for that, I’m just glad to realize there’s second season for this show.
(*) Art
I love how the creators draw the characters uniquely. My favorite of all is Nakajima Atsushi’s design. I actually didn’t like that type of character but I don’t know, I mean I loved the hair (to me it’s like modern style of fashionista), love from the clothes to the black boots he wore too. And I like the design of Dr. Yosano too. Black short hair decorated with a medium butterfly hairpin, white collar shirt with long black tie, black skirt, black stocking and high heels. Both the design definetely worked to plus the aura of each character and helped improve the personality of the characters. And that condition apply to other characters too, all of the the main and the villains. They made the characters are memorable to the audience and they are different one to another.
The art background is realistic enough. I liked the opening when Dazai fall from a high-buiding by the way. It looked cool despite the fact when his body touch the ground, he will be dead. Fortunately, that kind of event did not exist haha. Well, back to the background, I think that the creator already did best for them. Like places (from side of the river to big shipboard) and the action event that got more intense the longer you watched. The design of character, the background and the story fits and blend to one another. It is a very good job.
(*) Sound
My first confession about this section is that I fallen in love with the ending song. Though through picture of the ending you can see that such event doesn’t existed to the story yet but the song hits the feel. I definetely will keep it in my track list of anime songs and hearing it again and again. For the opening, I guess that fits well to it scene and has rising the air of the battle scene.
For seiyuu part, I think they all have succeed to portrayed their character’s personality. Like several examples, first Uemura Yuto has made it to show how unconfidence Atsushi sometimes whenever he try to do something out of his imagination and afraid others see him as an annoying one that made them hate him till they want to ask Atsushi to get out of their sight. He started with a weak light voice but in some condition when Atsushi believe in himself, Uemura’s voice could change.
Second, that too happened with Dazai who portrayed by Mamoru Miyano that famous and known with his character voice on Yagami Light’s Death Note. He could make a line between when Dazai teasing or playing around with each other and a side when he get a serious one. It definetely improved the seiyuu cause he has succeed to present Dazai differently than other character he has already portray.
And for the third example, don’t forget Akutagawa who voiced by Ono Kensho. I’ve knew that Ono Kensho often portray a character that have soft side or I’d rather say the good one. But in this anime, (wow) it certainly showed that Ono Kensho have a wide ability to “misdirect” his voice into heavy and sounded bad and evil at the same time. I admit it that I was shocked when I realize who is the voice actor of Akutagawa and he unpredictably is Ono Kensho. They did a very good job with this section.
(*) Character
If the creators have wanted the character of this anime to remember by people who watch it (especially in Japan), then they have made it. First, it because there’s creativity and path that the creators have gives to this anime. And that creativity is to name almost main and villain character from famous literary author’s name in Japan. Which I found that is the brilliant idea to make the introduction of the character more simple and memorable.
Second, the design all of the characters they have made are unique (include their supernatural power) and their personality too. Well, you will find a character that looked weak in the beginning and suddenly he could do something out of beyond and our imagination, you will find a character that looked dumb but have a strong supernatural power, the one who looked innocent but deadful, the one who looked calm but knows everything or the one who looked elegant but in the end get scary as well. You will find many different and unique charactesr in it. My suggestion to describe them all is that, “Don’t judge a book by its cover!”
Despite of two good points I mentioned above, there’s still some shortage though. I have realized that for solution to several conflict that one of the main character through is too simple and fast. Realisticly, that could not happened just for a moment like that, but I’m still happy that after the solution, the next event get surprising feel for the audience. That moment happened for at least one or two times. Luckily, it didn’t broke how slow or the fast story pace is.
Next, as I have explained in the story section that there’s some event that need more description or explanation. It relate to this character section which I realize that there’s character’s emotion changing drastically in one event and the problem is I don’t see any causes or reasons that have been explain previously. Actually, this kind of problem often happened too in other anime that have season per season cross apart. And I don’t blame for the author, the director or any other who’s in it, cause “role” in story will get worked perfectly if you understand the personality of the character, from background story to how “the role” through his or her life in the story. It needs hardwork and it is difficult. Seiyuu in here have role to portray “the existed role” and they have to work together with both the author and the director. If one of them get messed up then “the role” itself could get even messier. I think they have to work this part even more for the next season or project ahead.
And the last part is that the existence of several supporting character (I’m talking about the characters beside the main characters and that includes villains too). There’s several character who get “shadowed” by the other main characters. Actually, it because the story not so focuses on them till comes feeling that I don’t give a crap about what’s gonna happen to them. You will see there’s some poping up character suddenly in the end of final episode. But, the problem is not the sudden poping and I don’t put a conflict about the character that showed up in the last minute. I am actually bothered by some main villain’s character which I found cool at the beginning but “really less-cool” at the end. And for the worse, they have already existed indeed but their role is so small. If i put those character’s existence into percentage, you will find a big hole depends on the main’s role. They are indeed have role to one condition but that condition doesn’t stay for very long, just a little time (like sponsors or something). I tell you, it could make the audience forgot about them. Luckily, their character’s design is easy to remember but I have to tell you again I already forgot their name after I finished watching the last episode. I still did not know how the creators want to put them in the next season. I hoped their percentage of existence will rise up, not drowning to the ground.
(*) Enjoyment
Watching this flowing from the first episode to the last episode just like that. I have to admit that I still have enjoyed watching it though there’s some lackness I mentioned above section per section. Cause the genre that I thought would be heavy, it turns out to be lightier than I ever expected. Plus the comedy from this anime is awkward (I mean rare) but I still giggles and some time laughing cause of it. You may predict several that could happened, but between your guess, you will get surprised and amazed by the characters even more. For the continue, just watch the next season for seek that answer further. In all, I would like to say that Bungou Stray Dogs is recommended for all of you who likes an action anime genre with not so heavy story.

There’s many ways to communicate with each other like talking for an example, but talking doesn’t enough to know someone deeper, it just gave us the impression about how other’s feel when they talked to us. Because of that, we learn about touching with each other. “Touching” in here is the act of how we serve our feelings towards someone and just as simple as that, love can emerge and grow within it. Well, as most of people said that “love” is an emotion that sometimes hard to understand and very complicated. But, you’re not gonna get a headache or something when you watch this

anime. It described love in a way that even a little kid could understand. It is simple and short but it will leave a deep meaning to your heart as you watched it.
(*) Story The story is about forbidden love but don’t worry, it’s not as complex as Romeo and Juliet or another romance story. There’s a young girl who lost in a mountain forest. Then she got helped by a strange young man that wearing a mask. After that, she is making a friend relationship with the strange young man that turns out to be a youkai. From there, he tells the young girl that because of the supernatural within him, he is forbidden to touch or being touched with a human. Yup, so it is forbidden love. The idea is simple but the story serving has covered that into an easy package to watch. You don’t even have to worry about the 45 minutes duration. It’s short but managed to explain about every element that needs to describe. The introduction, the romance, the feelings, the past and the main conflict that got its climax when the story is about to end. The supernatural element had shown a little rather than the other element but it balanced at the end. Yuki Midorikawa (the writer) has truly understood about how slow or fast pace the story is and the right of time to put every part of the story in the right place. And for a writer to do it so it’s really hard. Because she needs to place her position as a reader first before writing her inspiration to a story. That’s the one of the hardest part that writer often to face but she has succeeded to do that and making the story section become the most satisfying among all of the section to me. Although it predictable from the very beginning about how the story will end but anyway it still moved my heart. In the end of the story, you will know the meaning of its title. The story itself filled with live elements and peaceful sensation that makes you feel warm and nostalgic feelings as you watch it. (*) Art Well, Yuki Midorikawa has best known for her work in Natsume Yuujinchou series so the art was similar to it. It’s not high but not low either, I would say that it’s standard. But, the art style still fits the story, it makes the audience easy to watch, deepen the story or maybe even more. Despite of it, the background and the animation were beautiful. It levels up the emotion of the audience to feel every scene. And it helps both the story serving and the characters a lot. My favorite background was the forest and absolutely the festival because when I saw that I feel as myself stand together with the characters in the same place. It certainly makes me memorize every scene that the characters have been through. I found that the character design of the girl was similar to other anime’s character but on the other hand, the design of the masked young man was memorable enough. And I like the idea about the costume especially when the masked young man in the winter season and the girl’s yukata at the festival. (*) Sound The back sound was good, it’s one of the elements that helps the story. It’s nostalgic, heart-warming and again.. peaceful. It’s certainly nailed it to bring the magical romance atmosphere into the story. For the ending song, well I can say that is good enough, especially it lyrics that suits the story. I still remember the lyrics a little that there’s sentence said, “I will never forget, the memory of that summer time…” It so romantic and symbolize the story very well. Ayane Sakura’s voice was cute and suits Hotaru well, but somehow I’m more interested to hear Kouki Uchiyama’s voice for Gin’s character. His voice was sound familiar, soft and sometimes sad at the same time. It just fits the character. And for Ayane Sakura, she got a bonus point from me for showing the audience of how Hotaru truly feel towards Gin especially in the ending of the story. (*) Character Takegawa Hotaru and Gin, both their name is memorable. Gin’s character was soft, gentle, and caring. It just like a prince in the folklore and I bet there’s many female audience that loves him as he shows that character in this anime film. He was memorable and most partly because of his mask. And when he took it off, well again.. I guess the females will scream out loud because of his cool and charisma he has. On the other hand, Hotaru’s character was amazingly developed as time in the story pass and made her more mature. It’s not easy to develop character in a one-shot film like this, so it’s a very good job. Hotaru’s character was changing slowly and that affect Gin’s feelings about her. I like especially when Gin teasing Hotaru about the embrace and the dating part. Well, which exactly that maybe it’s not a joke after all (just watch if you want to know). I found that I really like their characters and I’m feeling happy when I saw them together. It just like the writer has made these characters on purpose so the audience could feel them and support their relationship. Well, other than both of them there’s supporting character like Hotaru’s mother, Hotaru’s grandfather, the youkai, the boy who attend the same class with Hotaru, Hotaru’s father (just appeared but not talking) and Hotaru’s grandmother that just told but doesn’t appear. Its cast was little but the main characters have proved that it’s not a problem at all. (*) Enjoyment Before I watch this anime, I definitely confused on what anime should I watch first because my laptop is full of anime with many different genres. I think that I need to find a simple but meaningful story because I’m not feeling well at that time and finally.. after seeing it enough, my choice is this one. I tell you, I don’t feel wrong at all to pick this anime for that. Why? Because the story was epic, I’m moved by the ending and the characters, I just have to spend 45 minutes to watch it and finally my heart could not let go and forget it just like that. It lingers in my mind after I watched it. It’s a beautiful one and could make the audience’s heart melted. It’s hard sometimes to found an anime that shows us about a deep and meaning story like this. And even after I watched it, I’ve got the imagination to keep this anime carefully and will re-watch it again with someone I love someday. It’s really defined about how hard it is when we felt something towards someone but couldn’t be able to tell him or her about that. It’s a wonderful story indeed. In all, this romance supernatural anime has achieved its goals through the serving and you will found a remindful love within it. It’s worth to watch and recommended especially to romance anime lover.

“Saitama”, I guess that name often heard by all of the anime fans out there including me this lately. Well, that makes sense because this anime One Punch Man that adapted from a manga remake by Yusuke Murata and originally written by ONE has caught a large attention through it series. As most people knew, there’s pro and contra that shows up among anime fans out there about this show and because of that, I feel that I have to watch this no matter what. And now I finally did it so I’m gonna present this review of me for this anime. For more 20

minutes in each episode, you will find an extraordinary action and superhero stuff with a little bit parody that makes you stay and watch this anime till your jaw drops. Well, if anyone ask me how good it could be, then I can tell you that this anime is worth to watch especially to all of you who like an enjoyable anime filled with the surprising act.
(SPOILER ALERT) (*) Story There’s an incredibly powerful hero lives in the city, so powerful till he can easily defeat his enemies with a single punch. Well, most people will probably think, “that is sooo boring!”. But, don’t you ever think like that, my friend! Why? Let me tell you about it. There’s some beneficial things that the story section have in this anime (besides the character section). First, the story itself. I mean, the main story is so simple like I bet that many people from around the world have probably thought the same main idea just like this anime have. So simple till no one will ever tire to watch this anime from the very beginning till the end. The title suits the story, and that wasn’t made to overwhelm the power that the main character have but to making it more unique than the other anime that already exist out there. Second, the action setting. The story takes place in Japanese metropolis city which is great. Because that is a number one story background in a suggestion that will get epic when there’s some unstoppable character with massive power like heroes count in it. The violence, the destruction and the instant of falling objects that will make the audience’s jaw drops over and over again when they watch it. The actions itself are superb too. Believe me, even though this is a superhero anime, doesn’t mean that it's saved for children to watch it. I mean, you’ll find a lot of blood splashing too in it. This make sense because the seinen demographic that the manga remake have. And the last but not least benefit of the story is the parody. Actually, “parody” is one of the genre that hard to adapt for several reasons but the writer making it so natural and easy to received. You’ll meet many characters which you found familiar from other anime characters that show up in this anime. I guess the writer just want to represent all of the heroes anime in his creation and making it resemble with each of character in the story. But, again.. that’s a very wonderful idea cause it makes the audience not bored when some familiar yet remindful character pops up and makes a little comedy in it. The writer has changed this genre from hard to playful yet fun genre to watch. But, despite all above, the story itself still have some problem. For an example like the conflict of the story, the “existence” of it nearly gone. Probably because the main story (the super power stuff) consumed all of the episode and changes it to a next over-power level to shows up. It’s surely great, but.. I believe “conflict” is the section that has to exist in any stories. Luckily, the main character in the story brings himself to self-conflict in several episodes that explain who he really is. Like disrespectful that he received from others and he solved it just by several words. For the ending, it’s still an uncertain ending. I mean, there’s a lot of problems that they still need to solve or explain, like who Metal Knight really is, the past of Genos, the intention of Amai Mask, and many other problems. But besides that, the story still fun to watch. You will like the writer’s creativity for add the main character’s adventure with many various characters or like the association that made up and the surprising events that show up. I can say it filled with so much action and mind-blowing effect. (*) Art The art was very good. It surely fits the story. You can feel the sensation of every move like you watch a real superhero. I bet the creators put all of their hard work in this section. And believe me, making an action anime with the unusual move or fighting-battle like that is not just as simple as you flip your hand. But, they have succeeded to bring an action to all of the episode which extremely stunning. Well, the creator did save energy to draw the main character, Saitama which I found simple to draw him just like an egg (no hurt feelings, it’s true) for several condition in the story but has managed to change his appearance to a serious one when he’s in an epic battle. But, that was good because with his unique appearance like that, he becomes the most memorable character and he “is” the main character after all. And don’t tell me about the animation, it’s really remarkable! Until now, I still remember the scene when Genos forced Saitama to train with him seriously, the art in that scene was sooo amazing and for the favorite was the final battle scene…. Believe me, it was more than “amazing”. No protest in this section. (*) Sound Okay, about the opening and ending…. hmm, well…. actually, those two are not really my favorite type of song but as long as they fit the story I guess that’s fair enough. I mean the opening was really “superheroic”, both the instrument and the lyrics. They have succeeded to symbolize One Punch Man to a song originally. And about the back sound was really epic! I really appreciate Makoto Miyazaki for his work on the music because it has nailed it to serves the audience like they watch a real superhero film. It just fits in with the classical music playing on and made a great symphony to rising the atmosphere of every scene. For the voice actor, Saitama’s role was voiced by Makoto Furukawa. He has made it describe Saitama’s personality like how passive he was sometimes or when he turns into serious-mode, his voice changed dramatically. And the other main character, Genos was voiced by Kaito Ishikawa. I think he has succeeded too. He made it to serves the audience about Genos’s personality who always curious about the secret power of Saitama even though he is a cyborg. And don’t forget about other’s voice actor like Aoi Yuki (Tornado), Yuki Kaji (Sonic), Yuichi Nakamura (Mumen Raider), Kenjiro Tsuda (Atomic Samurai), Minami Takayama (Child Emperor), Sakurai Takahiro (Zombieman), Mamoru Miyano (Amai Mask) and many other. Their name has been known by most anime fans for the popular role in other anime. And they weren't disappointed the audience in here either. (*) Character The character section still has some sort of problem. For an example like the fast introduction of the characters (besides the main characters). It just so fast till I realize I didn’t know who the heck he or she really is till their name was being told. Well, I guess that’s impact of how simple the story is, making it a little bit fast pace. And another example is about the sudden new character that shows up like when the Ocean King knocks the superheroes down in the shelter, there’s several character that suddenly appear which turns out to be a hero too (except Snake). And when I watch that I felt…. hmm, “oh-kaay so suddenly there’s another hero in the shelter that I really didn’t get a clue about who they are…” I admit it that I’m confused for a second but then Genos finally came to the shelter and my confusion out of focus, changed into curiosity about what will happen next after other superheroes got beaten. I guess that “misdirection” has only half-succeed. And for the last example, the development of the characters. I didn’t see any development in this story, there’s some self-conflict but it hasn't brought some kind of development to the main characters. But I guess that’s fine, compared to the amount of the episode of this anime. I think if the episode more than twelve, maybe they could fix this problem. Or probably the writer just want to tell the audience about the main story first before the developmental section, hmm, I don’t know. It all depends on the writer. But for me, I guess that to have a story like this it doesn’t enough for just twelve episodes. Well, they did make OVA’s after all, let’s just hope that the OVA’s give some kind of explanation, answer or repair those problems. But other than that, the character section did nail it for some reason. Like the design of the supporting characters, the illustrator has made the characters was easy to memorize because their unique appearance and the similarities to other anime’s character. Like Silverfang, I did found easy to memorize him because he really similar to Zeno Zoldyck from Hunter X Hunter. And he did found the easy way to introduce Saitama and Genos as the main character of the story with the differential appearance they have. I mean, Saitama’s appearance so simple (bold, bright costume with red gloves) different than Genos who has the complex appearance (blonde-pale yellow hair, armored costume, black long pants). It’s making them so easy to memorize plus with their story background, age info, and their personality. I bet many people too has become their fans for that reasons (besides “the popular” and “the badass” reason). That points explain why this two main character more loved by the audience rather than the other characters. Well, if you guys want to know more about the other characters (supporting), I think you should read the webtoon, the remake manga or just searching to find more. Because you’ll not get that in this anime. It’s full of action and the main character’s role. (*) Enjoyment I enjoying it very much till the end. Although at the first episode, I’m not really into it but the story, the characters, and the sound were amazingly succeeded to draw both “enjoy” and “curiosity” to me. This anime was really fun to watch. You’re not gonna tired of watching each of episode, I bet there are a lot of anime fans out there that finished watching this anime just only one day or half-day because of it enjoyed. And it actually makes me re-watch this anime again from the very beginning. If you ask which section that satisfy me the most, then the answer is in this section. Because the hesitation to watch it from the start was totally gone as the story goes on and suddenly you just realize that you have watched till the last episode. Speak of the last episode, that was certainly an epic battle that you can found only in this anime. So, despite it lacks for some part as I mentioned above, you will not get bored to watch this and I can say that One Punch Man is highly recommended for all of the anime fans out there. Finally, for a suggestion, don’t mind about the pro and contra about this show, just watch it for yourself and the final score certainly depends on your taste of anime. Everyone has different taste and likes, good and bad are relative, you’re the one who decide it.

Kamisama Hajimemashita◎
(Anime)

Recommended Spoiler
Shojo manga series by Julietta Suzuki that adapted once again into anime after it first season, Kamisama Hajimemashita. The first season left some curiosities to the audience who enjoys romance genre about “what will happen between the main characters after this?” Well, the answer might be found in this second season. But, I can’t guarantee that you’ll find all of those answers in it either. So, it would be better just watch it for yourself and you will know what I meant.
(SPOILER ALERT) (*) Story The story remains around our main characters, let’s just say “the girl and the fox” who continue their life in Mikage’s temple ... after several of supernatural events in the first season happened and affect their relationship with each other very well into some kind of “more-love-interest” relationship. The first season starts with the character’s past and main conflict that goes on until pops up some supporting characters who help fill the sensation, mood and the story itself to be life and joy. But, we’re not gonna talk about the first season in here. So, still. according to that, just don’t confuse when you see the beginning episode of the second season starts with scary vision and dark red color background which apparently a dream belongs to a white-pale but cool guy that just wake up from his sleep. You’ll need to memorize the last episode of the first season to know who is that character. But, don’t worry if you lazy to watch it again because you’ll see a “familiar introduction” after that (just like in the first season) and you’ll know who that is when you watching this anime completely. Well, back to the main topic, the story consist of two parts in one episode. Those parts linked to one another and they give sign about it with some “free pic” (I called it because I always save the pic whenever they show up haha, so it is “free”) which is similar to most other anime. In this season, there’s different seasoning than the first, for an example like the problem solving of the conflict that I thought it would spend a long time to be solved but it solved with some simple idea. I didn’t say that was bad, but what can I say? It’s so supernatural, everything could happen. Or I guess they need to hurry the solving part to match or catch up the amount of episode of this anime which I suggest they need to plus the amount of it to do it just like I thought. But, despite it, I think the story was good enough, I like the writer’s idea whenever there’s romance scene that somehow manage to balanced the comedy which makes me feel the essence and the character’s feeling about themselves or the events that they’ve been through. The ending was absurd, that makes sense because the pace and new character that shows up. They need more episode to make it epic “if” this is their last anime adaptation. (I hope not!) But, it’s not that bad to watch it till the end. It’s romantic, it’s hilarious, it’s supernature and fantastical, it describes how love could grow between a human and a yokai. I would say that is “very touching and makes my heart melted”. (*) Art The art was good. It’s certainly nailed it to bring the romance and peaceful aura to the audience. It fits the story although I hope they could detail the background to help the story a little. But, I don’t mind about that. Because I believe there’s limit in everyone’s skill and we should respect other’s work. It’s unique in a good way and actually, I found that I fond of the character’s art. All with the background effects, filler and especially the chibi or funny looking expression that often shows up. (*) Sound Suzuko Mimori’s voice suits Nanami well. I loved it, especially whenever she shouts and mad on Tomoe because some kind of simple or serious problems she had with him. And the character voice of Tomoe is even better. I could say that Shinnosuke Tachibana has succeeded to cast Tomoe from the first season and I bet he especially nailed it for drawing attention to female’s audience out there to watch this anime too. And don’t forget about the other’s character voice actor like Daisuke Kishio (Kurama), Nobuhiko Okamoto (Mizuki), Junichi Suwabe (Akura-oh), Horie Yui (Himemiko), Akira Ishida (Mikage) and many others, they have succeeded too. I will not protest about them. They’re professional and they absolutely “nailed” it! For the OP and ED theme, I’d like to say that it’s fair enough. The singer as same as the first season. It’s good and cute to hear. Talking about the back sounds, I…. really loved them. They hit the feel, the situation and help the story serving a lot to the audience. My favorite back sound was the sound that historical but peaceful when there’s some meaningful scene that shows up. (*) Character There’s new characters that show up in this second season. For an example like Akura-oh (Tomoe’s partner from the past) who enjoys caused destruction through all over the world or Jirou (the fourth chief of Kurama Mountain) that suddenly turns into a memorable yet important for several episodes (you’ll understand when you watch it) and many others. They have unique characteristic and amazing looks too that make my brain memorize them. Besides that, I like how Nanami develops her character even more in this season (through her past or her attitude towards some problems that makes her skill of spiritual power level up) and I like how she could handle her feeling towards Tomoe. I see her courage even more rather than the first season and by that, I can tell that her character was well-developed. For Tomoe, he changed to care for Nanami a lot rather than usual, he more often to jealous, sulking, teasing and see Nanami differently especially after the last episode when he saw Nanami’s past. And he did realize what he actually feel towards Nanami in this season. I would say that their both character develop as same as their feeling to one another. I love the quotes too especially the quote that Mikage said to Nanami about “the taboo love between human and yokai”. (*) Enjoyment I enjoy watching this. I can’t believe it for myself either but it is enjoyable. For several times, the director and the writer had succeeded to draw curiosities and cut episode when there’s surprising event. I hate whenever they did that, but as long as it worth to watch, why not? As it ended, I just hoped that the last episode was not the last of it. In conclusion, “all of you who likes romance or rom-com story genre would be best to watch this anime right now”. Kamisama Hajimemashita (Season 2) it’s worth to watch, funny, heartwarming and I found it amazingly enjoyable (haha). Well, I suggest you watch the first season before watching this one.

Acchi Kocchi

Mixed Feelings
Acchi Kocchi, the anime adaptation from yonkoma manga (4 cell/panel manga) that begin aired around 2012. Several words that came up to describe it are funny, cute and adorable! How the story goes that sometimes make me laugh out loud because of its joke in it, all those cute, adorable and memorable character are the reason that Acchi Kocchi is worth to watch for all of you who really enjoy gag anime and a little bit of daily life romance in school. Although, there are several reasons for me why I give it fair. Specifically, I will explain it below:
(*) Story How the story told in ... process consist of two part in one episode, there's Part A and Part B. Most of it linked to one another, but there's several episode was not. The story itself is simple like most love stories, there's a girl who falls in love with a guy though their personality is cross apart but somehow they could make romance situation filled with sweetness aura. I don't know how to describe it specifically, but besides the simple and mainstream story, it surely gives us an expression of moe that makes the audience feel relax and enjoy the story. The other points, the romance itself has a small percentage compared to its joke or comedy. For the ending, I would like to say that it's not certainly enough to me for say that is a good ending, but I would not say that is a bad ending either. For all, I would say that is fair enough and could interest to watch for the very beginning till the end of the episode. (*) Art The art is good enough. It's from gag manga, after all, the creator may need it to expand their story and character as flexible it can to make the audience not bored and enjoy. Though, those efforts don't work on several condition. But, it is memorable and fit the story. I'd like to say that it's cute art. (*) Sound I love the seiyuu, the OP and ED theme and a little touch of back sound that give us a fit sense to watch this anime. The character voice of Rumi Okubo fits Tsumiki well, same as Nobuhiko Okamoto who fits Io too. I just love them all! And somehow I liked Kyouya voice too, it's cool rather than the others. The opening and ending are good and fit the story. It's a good job for this point! (*) Character The character is memorable enough. Tsumiki the tsundere girl, Io the cool guy, Mayoi, and Sakaki are the duos who enjoy teasing and make pranks and last but not least is the innocent adorable character, Hime-chan. The characters don't have any specific development till the end of the stories. But it well received for this anime because of the storyline and for the fact, the characters from the story itself that the reason this anime is different than others. It’s unique and everyone want to adore them. Like Tsumiki and Hime for example, I want to pinch and own them if they really exist!! That kind of expression that makes Acchi Kocchi is memorable with its cuteness. (*) Enjoyment I got bored while I watched it, maybe because of the same story concept that appears in several times, but despite it, I watched Acchi Kocchi till the very end. It because somehow I like the characters that available in the story and the soundtrack that make me want to singing it with copying Io and Tsumiki voice till I got tired myself. In conclusion, it could somehow make me want to watch it more and it fair enough to watch for all of you who like that kind of genre with a little unique, cuteness and moe characters.
