The visuals on this show are gorgeous, but that's it. The mains character falls in love with a very shallow character and the show makes it clear across all 25 episodes that his main romantic interest (Chinatsu) is only a "good girl", extremelly dull and uninteresting.
If she was the only romantic interest in the show, it would've been an ok romance with great animation and visuals, but the problem is that we have Hina, and she is an actual character. Hina falls in love with the main character because of their long and very developed relationship, where they've shared fun, sad and important moments and
...
have been inspiration to each other. Then Hina decides to go for it and confess her feelings to him, but he is just completely focused on the cardboard brains wet noodle of a character who makes him anxious, is undecided, is usually cold and has no personality at all.
Also, every single important moment, conversation and decision is rushed because "someone" is calling. Every scene where things could take a turn or people would actually say something important and make a decision, there is someone or something interrupting and the actual thing gets delayed. The author abuses this so much that you never expect any relevant scene to actually finish without someone calling in the most critical moment.
