I don't know where to start... It could be good, but it wasn't. The whole anime was a chaos.
Huge amount of characters, whose name can't be memorized, because they didn't do any memorable or just appeared with 1 or max. 2 times and did literally nothing. I can understand they all had to be shown in the anime but it was a horrible solution.
But at least they all look great, cute or sexy. Or all in the same time.
The other thing, the story was chaotic. There are sirens and they want to destroy the humanity, so weapons have been created as ships in human bodies
...
to fight against them. Sumimasen, what?
Okay, this could be also acceptable, BUT: How have been they created? By who? Why are they ships? Which part of them is a ship? Where are the showed 'real' ships on the water coming from? How can they be repaired? Broke arms and the belonging ship is also broken or reverse? Or both? Okay, too many questions, so: They didn't explain kinda anything.
The villain Akagi's love and aim neither were totally clear. She wanted to bring back her sister to life and that was her love(?). In another moment she was talking about destroying everything.
Enterprise, the protagonist gained the mysterious cube, but we don't know what happened with her exactly. As showed, nothing. She got memories or visions about 2 people or shadows and had nightmares. It's all. Even they set it as a great problem.
The enjoyable part of the anime was rather the friendship between Laffey, Javelin, Unicorn and Ayanami.
We didn't see too much about any part of alliances, only the Azur Lane (yeah, it was the title of the anime too, okay..), but I was curious to the other sides.
The graphic was good, but sometimes CGI was too much and became annoying, but mostly was OK.
The music was great, the OP and the backsounds too.
I don't use to write reviews, but I felt now I should write something about this show. At least for the drawers and music componers. They did good job.
