Idol or musical anime usually isn't really my cup of tea, but while I won't describe it as spectacular or anything, I enjoyed this one enough, surprisingly. I recently began re-watching it since Season 3 is coming this year. This 2nd season is better than the 1st season, so I have some expectation for the next season. Hopefully it won't be disappointing!
[STORY] 7/10
The plot is quite good. There's some entertaining dramatic conflicts that kept me entertained thorough the whole episodes.
[ART] 5/0
The art itself isn't that bad, but unfortunately I can't say the same for the way it's animated. The animation is really choppy and the
...
movements are rather awkward. The colorful background arts and pretty character designs make up for it though.
[SOUND] 8/10
Overall, music isn't anything spectacular. But it's not disappointing. .....Though it probably could be due to the fact that I didn't really had any much expectation beforehand. But well, there are some rather good songs that stuck in my head for a while. My favorite is probably the duet song between Ootori and Hositani in their play at the end.
[CHARACTER] 3/10
The most disappointing thing in this show--aside from the animation--is probably the characterization. The characters are pretty and all, but they're so one-dimensional. Thankfully the plot is good enough to make up for it.
[OVERALL] 6.5/10
I personally won't rate this as 7/10. But since we can't give out rating in decimal numbers in this site, I decided to give out 7/10 instead 6/10, since this season is quite better than the previous season (in my opinion) and I rated the previous season 6/10.

[I wrote a review for this anime a while ago but as I (unexpectedly) keep continue watching it, I decided to delete that review and write an updated one]
So, RobiHachi. The title is the acronym of the two MCs' names, as you might've guessed.
To describe this anime simply in two words: it's Weird and Gay. Yes, in that order, because the overwhelming weirdness is definitely the main selling point here. It's no Yuri On Ice dramatic gay or Sekaiichi romcom gay or even Free! innuendo naked guys gay. And it's certainly NOT yaoi, so even though I'm saying this, don't come expecting much of
...
'romance' or the typical yaoi characters stereotype of uke and seme thing. But yeah, there's some implied gay attraction there.
Basically, the story is about a group of three consisted of a rabbit robot, a broke guy, and a smart, mysterious, super childish teenager going on a space adventure in search of an uknown place called Isekandar which is supposed to be some kind of Ultimate Heavenly place. They landed in different planet in each episodes, always somehow unintentionally (and sometimes intentionally) managed to change something in whatever place they landed. Be it giving people useful marketing tips or giving advice to some random kid about making friends.
The whole thing is quite funny. A bit repetitive, but still funny. But certainly the humor is not to everyone's taste.
I'd recommend to watch this anime if you either:
1. Have a really weird sense of humor
2. Looking to watch some ridiculous comedy
3. Looking to watch two guys going on (very not serious) adventure
4. Looking to watch something that you can throw criticism comments at every other minute.
Enjoy!

This is one of those times when I believe the summary doesn't really done its anime storyline's justice.
If you like stories about developing friendship, beautiful soundtracks, and/or touching slice-of-lifes, this is for you.
Story - 8/10 (very good)
Ah, another story about reliving an unpopular school club. It's one of my most liked tropes, so I might just be a little biased here.
A shy, timid guy wants to keep his club going for the sake of his graduated senpai. The premise is quite simple, you see. But the way the director is telling it to us, the audience, managed to bring along the stories of its characters'
...
both struggles and simple happiness moments to be wrapped up into something simply beautiful. The storytelling style is one of my favorite parts of this. The way they revealed the flashbacks little by little in each episodes from multiple POVs makes it easier to sympathize with the characters.
Characters - 8/10 (very good)
The characters development is the big selling point in this, and the thing that keep the plot going. My favorite character in this is Kudo, if I have to say. I love how (realistically) complex his characterization is. He is a pessimist that has partly given up on himself but still yet striving to do the best because he's longing for a good future. Despite how the MAl summary sounds pretty Takezo-centered, the story itself is actually more Kudo and Hozuki-centered.
The biggest downside that hold me back from giving its characterization point 10 is how Hozuki character had written. The genius but having too strict parent is already a quite often used troupe. Without bringing anything new to her character except having dual upfront personalities (which actually not that different) her character just seems too cliche.
Overall though, I love the character developments that most of the main characters had shown.
Art - 6/10 (okay)
No lies here, the art itself is nothing than just okay. In my opinion, at least. But I think many people would agree with me, even though everyone's personal scoring might differs. Nothing special about the art. Almost all of the characters design would give you some kind of Deja Vu cause its been used similary in any other anime. The color palette is even rather dull for this kind of story, in my opinion.
Sound - 10/10 (amazing)
I'd give nothing less for the sound. The Koto instruments sounds truly beautiful. The voice actors done their job greatly, especially for Takezo's voice. They insert the right soundtracks in the right times and it really helps bringing up the overall mood. The opening and ending themes might slightly less amazing, but I'm willing to overlook that for the sake of doing the instrumentals justice because Koto really does sound amazing in the right hands. For that, I'm really glad they had made this anime.
Overall - 8/10
This is something I'd definitely continue to watch and would recommend to anyone looking for a good SOL anime.

This is a slow paced story about a young, innocent couple who went about discovering romance and figuring how relationship works together.
A few notable things about this show:
- The girl MC is kind of a stalker and can becomes really creepy at times.
- The guy MC is very innocent and kind of oblivious (though later episodes revealed that he's not really as oblivious as we thought).
- The characters act somehow too innocent despite being a highschoolers.
- The slow pacing is seriously Very slow.
That being said, I think this show is not really for everyone. However I think you'll enjoy this show if you:
- Like romance
...
shows with overall happy tone and little to none conflicts.
- Like romance shows that explore the relationship rather than going through journey of getting the characters to become a couple.
- Like romance shows with adorable innocent characters.
- Like moe character designs.
I going to be honest, I didn't ended up enjoy this show for some subjective reasons (such as my dislike of the character designs, etc.). Though there are some things that I really like from this show:
- The unusual and unexpected MC's personality.
- The fact that no one hate the main girl for her creepy and stalker-ish personality.
- The overall color palette.

Not really a master piece, but this is what I would call a hidden gem. So yes, 6-point-something MAL score is definitely less than what this show deserves.
So, the premise of the story is an optimistic boy loving something and want to spread that love by gathering member to make a team, or a school club in this case. Sounds cliche, right? Yes, even the most of the characters are the usual mix-ups: The Optimistic Guy, The Super Smart Guy, and even The 'Refuse Doing Something Because of Some Dark Issues But Ended Up Doing It' Guy.
Some people might think this is just another boring,
...
cliche slice-of-life. I also thought that at first. I even almost dropped it. But after watching about third of the show, after about 3-4 episodes, I started to like the characters more, started to appreciate this thing called kabuki that they're trying to explore more, started getting curious about what they'll do next. The plot doesn't really develop much more even until the very end. But I think, the interesting point of this show lies in its characters.
For the MC, we have the ever optimistic little guy, Kuro. Barely has any personality in the early episodes, I found out that he is much more a realist than I thought he was. He's so stubborn, but he knows when he needs to give up and is quick to make decisions if something doesn't go according to the plan. He also has his moments where his confidence deflates, and I realized much later that many of the characters has something 'hidden' beneath their first impression personalities.
Another thing that I like about this show is that it touched some topics that many people actually struggle in real life (such as confidence issues, femininity/masculinity issues, body image issues, abandonment from parents, people's expectations) without making it overly dramatic, and even showed that the characters themselves can overcome the problems.
All in all, yes, it's not a master piece or something. But definitely a worth watching in my opinion.

- Science theories references
- Good animation & soundtracks
What I like in this show:
- Beautiful soundtracks
- Pretty character designs
...
- Guy MC that actually treats the girls as equals
- Main girl that is not a tsundere
- Sacrastic main girl & main guy
- Main girl & main guy banters

- Character development
- Plot development
- Solid backstories
My ratings:
- Story 5/10 (well, there wasn't much any plot there)

- Sound 10/10 (beautiful opening & ending themes, overall good soundtracks)

Do you like thriller movies?
Do you like sci-fi thriller with lots of fancy made-up terms?
Do you like movies with damsel-in-distress situations?
Do you like actions with thrilling near-death situations?
Do you like cool impossible-to-do-in-real-life car actions?
Do you like super smart main character that clearly out-do any other characters?
If yes, then this is for you.
Many people complaint that Detective Conan movies don't really focused on mystery-solving anymore, and instead filled with unrealistic actions. Well, I didn't come in expecting grand deductions and intriguing mystery-solving. I'm just here for some good action with cool smart characters. If you are here expecting the mystery elements of Detective Conan series, then
...
you'll most likely be disappointed.
Anyway here's my ratings:
Story: 7/10 (the premise's quite good)
Art: 7/10 (usual characters design but the fancy actions are well done)
Sounds: 5/10 (nothing fancy)
Character: 7/10 (the usual some cool characters and some useless characters)
Enjoyment: 9/10 (well I was pretty much enjoyed it)
Overall: 7.5, but I'll give it 8/10

Doll to Master is a story about a genius magician who was intrigued by a rumor about murderer and tried to solve it himself. There's some (kind of) one-sided romance as a side story.
Story: 8/10
It's a surprisingly solid story for a one shot, with very little loose ends. The case was solved in the end, the culprit was revealed, along with an explanation from the said culprit. The plot twist at the end was good, the culprit identity was quite surprising too. The side romance was hardly necessary, though. It's barely there, to be honest. It was more like one-sided crush than romance. Although the
...
little revelation at the end made the whole crush thing quite fitting.
Character: 3/10
The story has three main characters: The Genius Magician, The Best Friend, and The Cute Assistant. Well, with this only being an one-shot, it's not surprising that there's hardly any room for characterization.
Art: 8/10
The art's good, in my opinion. That's all I can say.
Overall: 7/10
It was quite good and enjoyable for a one-shot. Maybe something to watch while you're waiting for your food at some restaurant.
I recommend you to read this if you:
- Wanting to read a good short story
- Like pretty boys character
- Like stories with subtle BL context
- Like stories with plot twists at the end

Royal Fiancé is NOT really a yaoi. It is a short gay romance with yaoi as side genre.
If you're a fan of BL who likes to read a cute chemistry between two boys and seeing a cute, kindhearted boys fall in love, then this is for you. BUT if you a BL fan who likes to read hot, kinky, uncensored bed action, I don't think this is really for you.
Story: 3/10
The story was set in a modern kingdom setting. There's the usual sad backstories and even some attempt at political drama. In short, there's a plot. Even if it's a VERY rushed plot with
...
some loose thread.
Art: 5/10
The art is good enough. Your usual 'pretty boys in every BL' art. Though I'd appreciate more if the author didn't make the MC and every other male in his family look almost the same. Still, it wasn't bad.
Character: 1/10
What can I say? It's a typical BL characters where apparently "dominant" and "submissive" are considered as personalities.
Overall: 4/10
The rushed plot and half-assed attempt at drama really irked me. Though overall I think this is a quite decent one of a BL genre.

A guy died, thrown into an after life, then given a second chance? Yeah, it's been done multiple times.
So what makes this one special? No fun adventures, No intriguing mystery cases, No supernatural powers, so what's the difference that this movie has to offer?
For me, the strongest part of that makes this movie stand out in my memory is, ironically, the Simplicity of it.
The story tells a guy who had died, ended up in an afterlife, and given a second chance. The second chance is to be reincarnated in a body of a boy who had just tried to commit suicide, and continue to live
...
in that boy's body until he remembers what sin he has committed.
As he went on living in that boy's body, he discovered many things in that boy's life: His Friends, His Bullies, His Parents, His Sibling, His Family's Conflicts, and so many more. He saw many things and also learn many things. And that's why the this movie is "Colorful".
The title itself captures perfectly what the creators meaning to show: Life is Colorful.
There are so many things in life. There are moments when you can laugh freely, when feel confused and betrayed, when you fight with someone you love, when you cried all day, when surprised at something you didn't know of someone close to you, when you discover new things and new people, and when you excited about facing tomorrow. Life isn't a Dull grey, is not also Black & White.
Life is full of Colors, if you keep your eyes open and moving forward. That's the message of this movie.
Story aside, watching the MC's development was a fun ride for me. I enjoyed the story too much to the point in the middle of it I even forgot the Big Problem: What was the Sin the MC committed? Well, I won't spoil you for that.
If you're a fan of stories about Philosophy of Life, stories that can make you Cry, or stories that focused on Character Development, I recommend this for you.
But if you're looking for fun adventures, discoveries, mysteries, or complicated drama, sadly this story has little to offer to you.
Overall, it was an enjoyable 2 hours for me. The art style and soundtracks are also pleasant. I'm giving it a solid 9.
