After months of delayed episodes due to Covid issues, Major 2nd S2 finally came to an end and it has been a fun ride.
It’s wrong to compare this series to the original Major; even though in this season there are some similarities to Major S3 the vibes I got from watching Major 2nd S2 are completely different.
Story 7: The plot is pretty simple, Daigo ends up being the captain of Fuurin's baseball team, the team doesn't have a coach so Daigo has to lead the team and struggle with his teammates. The journey begins from here, the team has just enough members to
...
participate in tournaments and official matches and is mainly a girl’s baseball team, they find troubles along the road and there's a little twist to spice things up in the final episodes.
Characters 9: the characters are the selling point of the show, the anime focuses on every team member, each one of them gets some kind of development both in baseball and in the relationships with their teammates. Daigo is not the center of the attention every time, he is the main character but feels more like a part of a team that works together than the leader that can overcome everything by himself. In fact he is often supported by the vice-captain Mutsuko and other teammates and he relies on them. The team synergy is just that good.
Visuals and sound 9: the anime is colorful and fits really well the mood of a team playing with 6 girls on the field, the new character design feels pleasant for this same reason as well. Some scenes (the batting and the pitching ones) are repeated but overall the animations are clean.
The voice acting is also on point and features renowned seiyuus such as Kana Hanazawa, Sakura Ayane and Uesaka Sumire.
Openings and endings are great, both openings are among my favourites in 2020, you should try to see and listen to them.
Enjoyment 9: this show is definitely a spokon but outside of the matches and training sessions it has a sweet Slice-of-Life feel to it and I loved that. Every episode had a nice pacing and flew away. It was terrible having to wait for months to watch new episodes but the wait was worth it and the series turned out pretty well.
All in all Major 2nd S2 deserves an 8 in my book, I really hope this gets a 3rd season.

I can't make a review out of this OVA, this special episode is just the actual end of Cardcaptor Sakura first arcs.
For those who haven't read the manga, the anime (and second movie) had a different ending, so this is how Cardcaptor Sakura manga ended.
I'm really glad that they made an OVA for this: the art, the eyecatch, the soundtrack, the VAs are all the same as in the old series, it really took me back in time.
If you enjoyed Cardcaptor Sakura you have to watch this OVA, forget episodes 69-70 and watch this. It wraps up everything nicely and it's the perfect prologue
...
for Clear Card arc.
I absolutely loved it and I can't wait for 2018 to watch the next arc! (even though I'm reading the manga)

Whaaaat? Are you telling me that Saekano has now an actual plot and that it's not just your average ecchi harem comedy anymore?
Yeah, you've read it right, the secon season of Saekano was a good surprise, the first episodes continued where the first season left and as it continued the characters have shown some development, especially the girls. Even Katou abandoned her flat self for some time, and this is huge.
This season is way better than the first one. Yeah, there are still those ecchi shoots and there's still lots of fanservice, but the story has its important role now. The last episodes really
...
gave a good twist to this series and I'm glad for that.
The art and sound are still ok, as in the first season.
The end was baffling though, but I'll be really looking forward to watching a third season.
One last thing: Katou best girl.

Rokudenashi Majutsu Koushi to Akashic Records is in my opinion the greatest disappointment of the spring season. Don't misunderstand me, I really enjoyed the show but after watching the first episodes my expectations were really high, this anime had a lot of potential and it got wasted, so this is why I feel let down.
The story, which seemed really good at the beginning, went to nowhere, there's no plot overall, the anime consists in Glenn (the MC) saving continuously the girls he's bound to because everyone of them is important for some reason or another and the storytelling towards the end was very rushed: I
...
felt like it was lacking something so I read the manga (I know the LN is the original but I couldn't find it anywhere) and noticed that some details were left out of the anime adaptation. So, if you liked the show I recommend you to read the Light Novel or the manga.
I liked the characters and the comedy but I grew a bit annoyed at them with each passing episode because they lost their initial impact, I think the show needed to renew some gags, but it was funny nonetheless and I didn't get bored.
Speaking of the characters, the girls' chara design was beautiful, Rumia, Sistine and Re=l were extraordinarly cute. And I found the voice acting really good, I was most impressed by Sistine's VA, it was perfect and I loved it.
So, long story short: if you like the magic/school genre this is a piece of cake, it's entertaining and I had fun watching it, but don't make the same mistake as me, don't raise your expectations, because the anime starts off pretty well, but it becomes somewhat predictable afterwards.

Kuzu no Honkai has finished airing and it's been a fun ride, so let's talk about the show.
Kuzu no Honkai is not your tipical romance anime, I've seen many people complaining about it and I understand them (especially after the last two episodes that destroyed my favourite character's personality), as a matter of fact this anime is not suited for everyone: as the title suggest the story revolves around scummy people and their desires, so there's nothing pleasurable to be seen.
Story: 7
Kuzu no Honkai is the story of a girl who discovers her true feelings through sexual growth.
The story's intro is quite interesting: the
...
two main characters try to find solace in each other because they actually love their teachers. After this some supporting characters are introduced and the story takes a twisted and fucked up turn. If you don't care about romantic relationships you'll enjoy the anime until the last episodes, where everything was rushed and hadn't a proper explanation. But I have to say that I really liked how the show ended, I didn't see that coming. Overall it's not bad.
Art: 8
The art is beautiful and I love the animation: the VN like sequences were pretty good and fit the mood of the story.
However I found the character design a bit bland, the male characters looked very much alike, I swear I wouldn't have recognised them apart without checking their hair colour.
Sound: 8
This show has one of the best soundtracks among the animes of the winter season; the piano OSTs were soothing and relaxing. Also the voice acting was ok, nothing bothered me about it.
Characters: 7
The characters aren't stereotyped and they undergo some development throughout the show (many of them are really worthy "scum" as the title suggests), but I didn't like the sudden and rushed change of some characters, these changes felt unrealistic and forced.
Enjoyment: 9
When I watched the first episode I couldn't handle my curiosity and I read the manga. The anime ended before the manga and I liked it, I was never bored when I was watching Kuzu no Honkai even though my expectations were maybe a little too high after reading the manga.
Overall: 8
This show deserves a chance, it's not a conventional romance; if you're looking for something original and psychological and you don't care about ships give this show a try. It is very good in its horribility.

I've never written a review before, but this show inspired me so much that I had to review it no matter what.
This anime was really outstanding and imo it deserves to be the Anime of the Fall 2016 Season, and here's why I think so.
Story: 8
The story is not something unusual, the pattern is similar to many other sports anime where the main character starts to climb his way to the top, except for the fact that in this show what motivates the protagonist Yuri is the presence of his idol Viktor who became his coach. Since Viktor appeared, Yuri's life has been changing
...
and developing, and so his dull skating skills.
This is the story of a man who decides to cast off his wavering and unconfident self through the power of love for his coach.
Art: 8
The animations in the first episodes were pretty good, but due to budget issues some animations in the later episodes were sloppy. However the art of the important and crucial scenes was top notch.
I hope some of the problems with the animations get fixed with the release of the BD.
Sound: 10
The sound was amazing: one of the best aspects of the show.
Even the opening is one of my favourites of all time, it really made history.
Characters: 10
I think the character development was perfect.
At the start of the show Yuri was unconfident and we can witness his evolution throughout the series.
The key point of the show is the relationship between Yuri and Viktor and I think it was a form of "Agape", unconditional love. It was touching and heartwarming. For me it wasn't homo, just pure love.
The supporting characters are really good too. The Russian Yuri didn't impress me at first, I disliked him, but later on I really appreciated and kinda understood him, I could relate to his rebelliuos stage, I was troublesome when I was 15 too.
JJ, Chris, Phichit and many other characters didn't get much screentime but thanks to them the show had some changes of pace and it was refreshing.
Enjoyment: 10
I really did enjoy watching Yuri on Ice, it is one of the most beautiful sports anime that I've ever seen, it made me happy, sad and sometimes even frustrated, it was a roller coaster of emotions.
Overall: 9
It's hard to find a sports anime that is so good but also so short: among the sports animes that I've seen Yuri on Ice is one of the shortest in terms of number of episodes (only 12). I really recommend it but you better not have your mind clouded by homophobic prejudices, because some scenes are a bit gay. Narrow minded people might not like it, as I can tell from the many negative reviews this show is getting.
