A unqiue mashup or a bland School Life/Romance with Vampires, following the success of films/books like Twilight and how usually any Rom/School Life shows usually do well you would expect this series to be good or maybe great, well its not.
The first episode was interesting starting to know the characters etc... but it felt like a bad Romance/SL series untill the vampire moment at the end of the episode which brought in a aspect of Horror, and in all fairness i enjoyed the first episode, i loved the blend of genres and putting across alot of information in the first ep from new characters, school etc...
...
was good.
But one we knew the bland characters Fortune heavilly relyed on the Vampire aspect to get it through the next 11 episodes, which just didnt happen the story dragged on and in the end it was rather pointless.
And i mean really pointless all that happens in a nutshell is that Erika needs blood from a human neck to survive she trys going Straight Edge but in the end this makes her health deteriate, she kinda gives up the Straight Edge as Kouhei allowes her to get his blood. thats it.
This didnt feel like a Romance just a story about a vampire and getting blood and thats it a poor series and felt way too long at 12 episodes maybe a 4 OVA would of been better they just didnt have enough story, interesting characters or anything to last 12 episodes and just jammed in events that happen over and over (Erika feeling her chest) etc..
Overall a poor series nothing good to really say about it (After the 1st ep)

Amagami SS is an anime adaption of a PS2 Dating Sim, much like in the game the main character can choose who to pursue, in this anime series they have tried to show every female protagonist in a few shorts Arcs, each arc will center around Tachibana Junichi trying to forgot his past of being stood up on Christmas Eve and finding love, each arc focusing on Tachibana trying to find love with the different women in his life.
Its very hard to rate a whole series as it doesnt feel like one its just an anime of short stories, so what i will do is
...
not rate the WHOLE series but each arc.
As a whole this series it basically hit and miss some arcs were extremely well done, some felt rushed compaired to the other arcs, i think as a whole i loved this series and i am a fan of the arc system it gave a different perspective how life COULD of gone for Junichi which is rare to see in some animes.
With the upcoming 6 Episode OVA i hope it continues from the Special episode (ep 25), also there is a special Arc 1 episode involving his SISTER :O
So this series has everything you look for in a Romance, various of different kind of persionalities and endings.
Spoliers Ahead (i will try not to say too much that will spoli it for you)
All the arcs are in order!
Haruka "Lovely" Morishima Arc:
Not one of my favorites, Haruka is built as the most beautiful girl at Tachibana's school, the whole arc just didnt feel right from her being distant to quickly realising she was in love with Junichi, the pacing was a little off as the first ep or so felt fine they will starting to become friends then BAM its the last episode and then they both share there feelings for one another, it just didnt feel right it would of took alot longer for her to get to love him, the whole arc to me didnt feel right and felt like it was TOO much of a miss match character wise.
6/10
Kaoru Tanamachi Arc:
Kaoru is a friend of Junichi in his class, the question of if Kaoru loves Junichi is a little questionable but after a while it grows and that progression was nice to see the whole turning from Friends to Lovers was one that is very believable and the way Kaoru was always a little defensive made this arc very special.
8.5/10
Sae Nakata Arc:
Ah Sae this very scared girl who is in Junichi's sister's year, he starts helping her to get over her Nerves, The whole part of Junichi helping her felt strange i know he is suppost to be a nice guy but helping this random person out felt a little strange but once you got over her ANNOYING quiet voice you will grow to love this arc, to me it was one of the better ones and was paced correctoly throughtout it had enough of episodes to get across what was needed.
8.5/10
Ai Nanasaki Arc:
A friend of Junichi's sister once again, Ai is on the swim team and most of the things in this arc usually focus on that. Ai is very quiet to start with and grows with confidence which was nice to see, the pacing was good it didnt feel too fast or too slow, and her as a character and Tachibana seem very believable, a very good arc in its right just not the best.
7.5/10
Rihoko Sakurai Arc:
Ah Rihoko the childhood friend, very clumsy girl with a bad habit of eating alot, this arc made me smile the whole way through, the arc didnt rely on humour but the way its in the series and the way they explain her true feelings towards Junichi but being his "Childhood Friend" Junichi can only see her as a friend, again a very believable story and this is the only arc i REALLY wanted her and Junichi to begin going out and the way it ends made it feel a little sad, this arc had everything you wanted and tbh THIS could of been the whole show.
9/10
Tsukasa Ayatsuji Arc:
VERY different from the others, all other female leads up to now were all very cute/nice and at the start this is was Tsukasa started off like but then Junichi saw a very different style to her, she was like Jeckyl and Hyde type of person one very nice one very nasty and was interesting to see how Junichi would cope, this arc caught me off guard, i wasnt expecting her to be like that and it kind of confused me to if i liked the arc or not? after thinking over it i fell Tsukasa's arc was good, different but good.
6.5/10
Risa Kamizaki (Special) Arc:
Risa is 100% Stalker but her brutal honesty came through to Junichi you see from her perspective how his relations have gone with all the previous females, all of them in this arc ending with Risa telling them a lie.
This is a one episode arc but it left questions still unanswered, it felt they cut this half was through an episode, i hope this is continued in the OVA's that come out soon.

Short Review:
A show with soo much promise ruined by amataur animatiors, apart from the great characters nothing else is that good, the story which i like didnt progress from the first episode and made this feel cheap and tacky, it seemed like they knew that season 2 would follow and didnt really bother with this show apart from getting the viewer to understand the characters for next season.
Also i have to add the art in this show is dreadful one of the worst i've EVER seen.
Longer Review:
This show looked so unique from the Preview so i decided to watch this, and i felt this could
...
be the "Dark Horse" of the current season, a series that could be amazing that many would of not watched or planned too.
I want to keep this short, i have so many negitive views about this show, for one the Art (apart from last episode) has been TERRIBLE, one of the worst ive ever seen, too much repetitive animation (eye scene closeup seen over 100 times) it makes this show look to me the first animation this company has ever done (which isnt a compliment)
Also nothing happened and with the Bridge the only place they go its hard to keep it fresh and you can see even the company behind this show dont know what to do they delve into randomness (build a home on a pillar/amusment park etc...), the characters are AMAZING thought they are become so well known to me quick, i knew all there names and attributes off the bat (which is good for any show to make these impressions on me) if the characters werent soo watchable i would of stopped viewing this show.
Also shouldnt characters progress? none of them have apart from Kou (Recruit) all the rest have stayed the same from the whole 13 episodes which makes the show seem more amaturish, to me the unqiue story was wasted they didnt develop it and nothing happened of any note, understand the characters and thats all you will get from this show as season 2 was annouched maybe things MAY happen in that, to sum it up this shows lacks substance, a preview that offered such a unique storyline and characters was just ignored for some RANDOM events (MUCH like K-On) so its a hit and miss, for me this average i have seen 100's of better and enjoyable shows (so maybe n00bs to anime may love this show anyone who has watched more than Bleach/Naruto may find this a bit dull.

B Gata H Kei
Well picture it, literally every Harem/Ecchi/Romance/Comedy anime series which is about a guy who has perverted thoughts but this is different as its the GIRL who has those thoughts, yes girls have perverse thoughts too.
So B Gata H Kei follows Yamamda who wants to have 100 sexual partners and first she wants to have an "easy" one so chooses this "boring" guy she bumped into and then the series follows many akward moments between them with her trying to lose her virginity.
Good:
* Art Style (not the best but pretty good)
* Voice Acting (they are sound suited to the character especially Yamada
...
(firey voice but then can talk cute too) and Kosuda (sounds soo plain but it works) who sound perfect
* Progression of Characters/Story (You can clearly see from the story Yamada set a bar too high and very unrealistic, to an extend you can see she makes a kids mistake (what she was) but during this show little by little they both change, Yamada tones down and realises she loves him and doesnt care about the 100 men goal, Kousuda becomes more mature and tries to get over his shyness overall even though its not visable too much the progression is great to see.)
Bad:
* Start of series (First few episodes are annoying, Yamada is soooooooooo annnoying thankfully she carms down *a little* but i was considering dumping this show as it was getting on my nerves her actions she would do.)
12 Episodes (Felt the last few episodes were pushed up because of the 12 ep limit, i think if this was extended this would of worked out better for B Gata H Kei, i hope a 2nd season will be around the cornor)
Overall
------------
A different take on the Romance/Comedy which was pretty good, not the best show around but watchable and somewhat enjoyable (after the first few episodes) get used to how annoying Yamada is and how boring Kousuda is and you will be set to enjoy B Gata H Kei, from what i thought this would do (5/6 out of 10) this has supprised me and was one of the better new series broadcasting so i give it a 7.5/10, but for this review ill have top round up to 8.

* Spoilers Ahead *
Hatsukoi Limited is best described a collection of short stories revolving numerous characters each with their own unique story.
It's very hard to right a review with so many stories that are connected to only anime season, so i will break this down by character (Key).
Plot - Follows a group of 5 girls who seek a relationship or their first love, each episodes focuses on a different girl (First episode is Arihara Ayumi's)
Characters (Plus my opinion on them)
--------------------------------------------
...
Arihara Ayumi
- A bubbly character who is asked out by Misao Zaitzu (Monster). Though she claimed she would accept any offer, she is consistently unsettled by Zaizu's monstrous appearance. However, she shows she can be somewhat caring as well as crafty, you see her a little at the start where she is trying not to hurt Misao's feelings, when she then meets her "First Love At First Sight" who is Zaitzu's brother.
she has to ask herself does Zaitzu's brother really love her or does she have feelings for Misao if she can look beyond his looks.
Kei Enomoto
- LOVE this storyline, Kei is apparently very popular with guys due to her "mature" face. However, she sees the attention she receives as a hassle, and believes confessions of love are just a chore if the feeling isn't mutual. She openly admits that looks are a major factor in choosing a relationship, but carries a love-hate (mostly hate) relationship with Kusuda, Who she nicknames "Kappa Face" they have a relationship where they both are too immature to realize there feelings, this part becomes the main storyline, for some the other characters story's may just get in the way of this one but i think its done perfectly and even this story NEEDED the others.
Koyoi Bessho
- Sub character really who is shown a few times, she mainly has a brother complex.
Nao Chikura
- Another sub character (Kinda) a guy who is connected to the story loves her but does she really love him or does she love a senpai she's known for years.
Dobashi, Rika
- The most level headed out of the group, Rika seems to enjoy teasing others. She is in Ayumi's grade. A well known tom-boy, Doba excels in athletics and has been stated to be domineering.
Through athletics she finds a shy guy who loves her, they form a relationship straight away, she is featured a few times usually to balance out the group.
There is PLENTY more characters who are also featured, they seem to all revolve around the brothers or the group of girls, some have strong points some don't but overall even in the sub characters they are really good to watch and make the whole show, a rare occasion is i didn't dislike anyone (well maybe 1 kind of).
Conclusion
-------------
*A special menthion once again for the Enomoto/Kusuda storyline which was fantastic, the rest were really good and all different but compelling all the same, this is due to some AMAZING writing for this series.
*The artwork is stunning and in Blu-ray it looks mindblowing at some points.
*The sound is good nothing wrong with them, they suit the characters perfectly.
*Character development is great you see them ALL progress which is rare to see.
*I cannot get over how good the Enomoto/Kusuda storyline was its worth it just for that tbh, althought the ending is good but like many series in the Comedy/Romance section they end abruptly which is a bit dissapointing and lets it down (Slightly) for me, don't get me wrong this series is amazing but it just takes a edge of it which is why i give it an 9.

Review after 1 Episode.
K On !!
Ok well i finally finished K-On season 1, i say finally because i dropped this series near the end, Why ? ... Well it was boring, as stated in my review of season 1 the Plot went nowhere and the Characters were so bland and didnt have anything for the viewer to atleast feel attached to them to make the viewer care for what happens to them.
So i only came to see the first episode so see if they have understood how belowpar season one was! and have they? well.... sort of.
I was in shock because i saw some "Character
...
Development" for the first time in K On, and that was Yui who still clumsy came in early (mistake from alarm clock) but seems to have improved on the guitar and seem maturing because of it, they now are in the last year i believe and from the first episode they find out they enjoy the club too much and don't want "Others" joining they will find new members before the end so Azusa won't be alone (as she is younger)
So its improved "Slightly" but im still hoping this won't be another season in which all that happens is they play in another concert!!!!!!!!!
I have a little bit of hope but i have to saw its a bit better than season 1

K On!
"Charcters are very one dimensional in personalty and behaviour and just iritate me after a while, add this to a non exisitant storyline/plot and you get the most hyped series i've ever seen.
And does it live up to the "Kyoto" name........... well no it doesn't even come close."
Synopsis:
Well a quick overview of the Story, Well there is a music club run by 3 girls (Mugi,Mio,Ritsu) the club is going to go under because a lack of pupils joining it, untill Yui joins to club and becomes there Guitarist, They then find one more member Azusa and build up to preform in a concert at
...
the school.
My View:
I feel this series is caught between 2 genres (Music/Slice Of Life (School Life) and couldnt really get into either. If you dismiss all the hype over "Ohh its sooo cute and soo cool" and how Otakus have gone mad over this series i just cannot see the appeal, The characters dont deserve any praise they just are ordinary to me. Combine that what a story that doesn't progress and no Character development what so ever.
So to sum up they join a music club and recruit one member and play a song! i feel cheated of all the hours wasted on this series my advise is just skip this story or watch the first few episodes to understand the characters "Traits" Example: Mio being scared, Yui is useless and clumsy, Mugi is mature etc... and go to season 2 or just drop it all together.
To me this is the most overhyped series ever!!!!!!!
Art:
It's Kyoto, so you expect nothing else than amazing visuals and character style. and this series continues the trend.
AMAZING....................
Sound:
Not too bad but still Mugi,Ritsu,Yui voice really annoy me.
Characters:
Cute, but thats about all you will get from these characters.
Enjoyment:
I suppose it looks great but the enjoyment is ruined by the story (or lack of) and the Characters.

Spoiler's Ahead!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Quick Overview
-----------------------
Very pointless the people who made this just realised its going to be 2 series and all the did for series 1 is introduce characters and a bit about the powers, if i was you if you get to grips on whos who on here watch the last 2 episodes and thats it the rest feel like fillers and are sooooo boring!
Story
---------
To sum it up there is a girl with Powers she is called Musubi,so she needs someone with her so she can become a full "Sekirei"
Once she found her partner he will be her Ashikabi, the main guy doesnt have any powers
...
but is a sidekick in a game, this game centers around one city which is blocked off and they basically have to kill everyones other Ashikabi and Sekirei to become number one and win the game.
It resembles Battle Royal in a wierd way the story does (which isnt a bad thing)
Graphics
------------
Very nicely done not the best i've seen before the enviroments are good the best thing is the expressions that happen there very well done but other than that very good graphics.
Sound/Voice
----------------
Musubi's voice becomes quite annoying but other than that the voices fit each character type they have, one who seems nice but underneath very angry etc... very good job
Overall
----------
Well the story at first sounded very cool but it just was frozen after that it didnt progress at all, most of the episodes fill like "fillers" most of them are meeting new people and other people who they help but most of the time apart from the main 4 ish characters you dont care for the others who usually pop in and out of episodes,to me the story could of drove this to a great series but it seems they were told its going to be atleast 2 series so in the 1st all they do is introduce characters and just get you into the powers (a bit) to me they could of made this interesting and showed more backlog and info on the powers but they didnt and to me it makes this anime series boring, near the end it gets better but still its quite jumpy and you see things and characters for a bit for no reason, the whole ending was pointless just to say it doesnt end :( atleast leave it on a cliffhanger or something!
-------------------
This review is based on me watching it TWICE, the first was back when it was released and the second was because i did see the ending so thought i would revisit it.
