Before you start, a 6/10 isn't a bad score in my eyes.
Should you watch this? Yes.
*Minor Spoilers* TLDR at the bottom :)
Sayoasa is a relatively decent movie with a pretty solid theme behind it. Maquia the main character is from a race of people who live to be hundreds of years old, and she finds a regular human baby, who she names Ariel, and decides to raise him by herself. Her and the baby become the focus of the story and it comes to question, is building a relationship with somebody you will outlive worth the sorrow it is bound to bring?
The story
...
itself isn't anything special, the details of what happen within the world itself isn't as important as the interaction between the characters, the movie on a few occasions leave out detailed information on the reason for certain events that happen. They sprinkle a little bit of detail, enough to give you an idea of why it's happening but do not elaborate on it further.
The art is great, although I wasn't a big fan of some of the characters faces, it heavily compliments the nature, cities, mood, and landscapes to give you a very strong immersive feeling despite the show lacking in other areas.
The characters were rather average, individually the characters weren't anything impressive. Maquia and Ariel individual personalities are nothing unique or special, Maquia is a lonely girl and Ariel is rather defiant. There is a desire to see them develop more with each other as time goes on, a lot of their development as mother and son is sometimes skimmed over. It is bound to happen with a movie that is limited on time but they spend a lot of time on other things in the movie that are not as important as developing a relationship between Maquia and Ariel.
TLDR: Story is not the primary focus and thus rather weak, it is just a setting to see the main characters develop. Art is fantastic and immersive. The main characters needed more time to themselves to develop their relationship near the end, but initially the Mother/Son connection is great at the start. It is a mild tearjerker and despite my score it was a good movie to watch.

This was really a disgrace, I honestly do not want to make a review for this but considering the previous version of Garo made my top 10 anime the season it aired I felt the excessive need to write a review on this horrible alternate version of Garo. This will honestly be a slight comparison of how this anime failed to compared to it's previous version.
Garo: Honoo no Kokuin is the first story told, Garo: Guren no Tsuki is an alternate universe with completely different characters with the only similarities being the casual villains and the means of defeating them.
Story - 1
The setting
...
is similar to that of the previous Garo an old medieval fantasy type setting where there are monsters called Horrors that manifest from the darkness in a humans heart. There are Makai Knights and Makai Alchemists who have the power to defeat these horros and are heavily relied upon to protect humans from this threat.
Our Protagonist is one of the many Makai Knights but the armor he wears is a legendary armor that has been passed down for generations, the Golden Knight Garo. The story follows our lead Raikou, his assistant, and his mentor as they protect the city from various threats.
Although the setting and idea of the show is great and almost identically matches the setting of the previous version, this series didn't have a plot until the very last episodes. Over half of the series is focused on "The Horror of the Week" having the Protagonist defeat them time and time again with no real progression. Near the end the anime made a decent attempt at creating a likable story but ruined it completely with asspulls to save characters with no reason. Not only did this not help the show at all but it severely brings the show lower than it was prior.
Art - 2
The character designs were actually good, nothing too fancy but there were times in the show when I couldn't see a thing due to the overwhelming darkness. They would attempt to have fights in the dark and you couldn't see a thing other than the subtitles that were provided. If I can't see anything at night how can I enjoy the art let alone the characters or story.
Sound - 5
Nothing special, the ED was pretty good to get you pumped up. Too bad the show wasn't just as satisfying
Character - 1
Just as painful as the Story the characters have no development. The Protagonist suddenly and randomly gains the ability to control his power but there is no change in how he fights, it felt like it was forced in there to try and show that this character has changed but he doesn't. To nobody's surprise this Protagonist doesn't have a strong personality at all, if everyone wasn't always looking to him to save them he wouldn't even be a worthy side character to mention.
Our female lead is the mentor of the Protagonist but as the story progresses she ends up being reduced to a damsel in distress. Everybody knows that this is probably the worst thing you can do to a strong female lead.
Only decent character is another Makai Knight who is out for revenge due to the one who killed his brother. Unfortunately he is shoved aside to make room for the horrible main characters and eventually loses his motivation to get revenge.
Overall - 1
This show really hurt me man, I only respected it and watched all 24 episodes out of love for its previous version. This anime was a pain to watch and I wish it was never made. They should have took the time to refine the upcoming movie that is a sequel to the previous Garo. Please do not watch this show and if you do, make sure you watch the Previous Garo prior.

I really wanted to like this show, I really did. There are a lot of problems here and things that make me uncomfortable. I give most shows decent scores even if it had a lot of problems but Sakurako is something else entirely. I guess i'll explain.
Characters 2:
There are only two characters that are important, or maybe it's only one character that is important at all. Anyways, the 'heroine' the show is named after, Sakurako Kujou, is an Osteologist, meaning she studies and collects bones. She is obsessed with finding corpses of animals and humans so that she can add their bones to
...
her collection. She also has a knack for being right about everything with little to no evidence other than. explanations to come.
Male lead who we follow Shoutarou is in every single way an average high school kid who ends up tagging along with Sakurako everywhere she goes. He doesn't do anything helpful, he is typically there just to help Sakurako express what she is thinking in a conversation so that we, the audience, can understand what she is saying.
Plot 3:
There is no main plot going on in the show early on, it first starts off as the leads finding a corpse on the beach. Sakurako understands everything within 30 seconds of seeing the corpse, the police and everybody around her immediately believe her and take her words as fact. Unfortunately there is no connection between this case and the next, and the next, and the next. They are all random cases that don't connect at all, it's very episodic and Sakurako solves every problem with her expansive knowledge that she apparently inherits from studying bones.
We see the strings attempting to tie up all the mysteries, that happened before, near the last few episodes. Is somebody behind these murders? If so what is their reasoning for doing this? We will never know, because before the leads find any clues towards finding the antagonist the show ends abruptly without solving anything. Why did I watch this show that is going to leave on such a big cliff hanger, when it isn't a very good show in the first place. It's not like Shokugeki no Souma which was an extremely good show that left on a cliffhanger. This show wasn't all that great from start to finish.
Art 7:
Sound 7:
Enjoyment 3:
I didn't enjoy it, even though I planned on giving it a 6 or 7 if it finished strongly. Unfortunately that did no happen. I was willing to overlook that, while in custody, she was able to make a police officer stop the car and allow her to help with a case about a murder. She could tell you everything about a person's personal life just by looking at their bones. I didn't mind her being absurdly over intelligent for no real reason in attempts to enjoy this show but I didn't.
Overall 3:
If you can overlook plot holes and mary sue leads, then this is the perfect show for you.

Dance with Devils caught me by surprise. I typically prefer stories with characters being the main focus of the show, how they develop and how they deal with the problems presented to them. Although, I've always had a soft spot for reverse harems ever since I watched Amnesia. As I picked up this show, I expected it to be just like any other reverse harem where 4 or 5 men fall in love with the same girl who so happen to all know each other. Dance with Devils isn't as simple as that. There is a reason why everyone is 'after her' and there is
...
a plot that is more important than the reverse harem itself. EXPLANATIONS.
Character: 6
Our heroine Ritsuka is just an average girl who gets caught up in this 'war' between Devils and Vampires. Both claim that she knows where the forbidden grimoire is, but she claims to know nothing about this. She has a tendency to be more curious than she needs to be, often getting herself in trouble. It does help advance the plot as we learn more about the characters.
One of the male leads is Ritsuka's brother Lindo, he is your typical big brother type who is willing to do anything to protect his sister. He even went as far as becoming an exorcist to protect her.
The other 4 male leads are part of the student council and make up the reverse harem by attempting to capture ritsuka, woo her, and give her (and us) information we need.
Plot 8:
The plot is rather simple, there are Devils and there are Vampires, as well as the Exorcist agency that tries to monitor both. The Devils and Vampires are after our Heroine who they claim knows where the location of the forbidden grimoire, a book to control the world, is. At first we don't understand why she is being chased after by these people, but like any decent show it fills us in on the information bit by bit. The reverse harem tendencies are thrown in occasionally but they all help advance the plot somehow.
Art 8:
Sound 8:
Enjoyment 9:
I really liked watching the show, it wasn't as painful to watch as some shows this season *cough* garo *cough*. It keeps the reverse harem appeal that I personally like, but also gives a good plot and story that progresses and FINISHES at the end of the last episode.
Overall 8:
Great show, if you ever feel like you should watch a reverse harem anime, one that you will not regret when you finish. This is the anime for you, keeping reverse harem elements but not completely ruining the show for you by forcing those elements 24/7. I think everybody should give the show a shot, but do not watch the show if you think you will dislike it from the beginning. That is almost guaranteed to make you dislike a show.

I'll keep this very brief.
Bible Black is a show that requires your undivided attention, missing the smallest of details can change how you view it. I don’t blame you for not liking it. It is a metaphysical journey that’s more about exploring its concepts than anything. It isn’t meant to be taken at face value and demands you to pay attention to understand it. It’s a show that touches upon the human condition and finding one’s purpose in life. I suggest watching lesser complicated shows before trying to tackle Bible Black again. So, it seems that this anime was a hit more miss with most, who watched. I personally enjoyed the show thoroughly from beginning to end. What seems to be the "problem" that most people point out is that the characters are unrealistic or that they are just idiots trying to act smart but I didn't see it that way at all. Agree or disagree I will give you my 2 cents about this series.
I will start with first with the Characters.
If you don't like 'different/perfect' characters, you won't enjoy the show.
Our lead protagonist Saikawa is a professor at a college but his personality is anything
...
but normal, he is very anti social and spends his time thinking about the way humans think and why they think that way. He is curious why people do many things for no reason.
His mentality is detached from society's typical way of thinking, the way he questions anything and everything would make most people in society look at him like he was crazy. I personally saw his statements as realistic questions to be asked.
"Every morning I wake up and think am I the same Saikawa I was yesterday? Or am I just trying to play the role of Saikawa?".
"In here it feels like we've been abandoned by time."
"Isn't 'released from' a better phrase as opposed to 'abandoned by'"
"Seeing nature and thinking its beautiful is what is unnatural"
"In the end, everybody is tied down to their one body, don't you find that terribly restrictive?"
I enjoyed his character because he would say things no other main character would say. Which was something great to me.
Female lead protagonist Moe, a math genius who can answer any math question immediately, she is also an unusual character, she isn't quite as curious as Saikawa when it comes humans but she tags along with him. Her above average intellect helps conversations with this unusual male lead to make some sense. Saikawa can't talk to somebody who refuses to share the same train of though.
Lastly the main focus of the series, is a woman who is a super genius named Magata. She is world famous for being super smart at the age of 11 and thus they locked her in a room so that she can work alone, for 15 years. Her character is similar to that of Saikawa in that she questions the human train of thought and emotions. Her train of thought is similar to Saikawa as well.
If you can't stand 'different/perfect' characters with drastic world views then do not watch this show.
Story
The two leads go to the island where the famous Dr. Magata works, and the fact that Moe's family is well known, they are let in upon arriving. When they enter a murder is committed where the limbs of the body are missing. Although Saikawa prefers to leave Moe convinces him to stay and help figure out this murder mystery.
Not much to say about it in general except, I felt that the revelation of the murder and how they get there is enjoyable. The reasoning behind the murder might be acceptable for you depending on what kind of person are you. Like I said before the characters mainly determine how your enjoyment of this series will go.
Sound
Great fantastic awesome whatever. The music was great in this series OP and ED. One of the best of this season. If a great ost is enough to get you to watch a series then this is your show.
Art
The art wasn't bad. The only thing that bothered me is the way they drew everybody's eyebrowss, and occasionally how some of the characters eyes looked. Other than that the art was good.
Enjoyment
Enjoyment was great, probably my favorite show of the season. If you think that OPM is the anime of the season, then I recommend you to avoid this show like the plague.
In Conclusion

As children most of us watched Dragonball Z. Goku and his friends taking on enemies with the power that could destroy an entire planet on accident. Only problem is that Toei, masters of wasting time, knew how to drag out the series and at certain points it felt like Goku would charge an attack for an entire 12 episodes. Now with all the excess time cut out of the series and all non-canon arcs removed you now have Dragon Ball Kai. Although I watched parts of DBZ on tv as a child I remembered minor details of how everything went down. I went into Dragon
...
Ball Kai to expect a mediocre Shounen, which actually turned out more than pleasant.
Story: The story of Dragon Ball Kai starts with a short arc that leads into a huge saga spanning over 50ish episodes. Our protagonist Son Goku must deal with aliens called 'Saiyans' who come to destroy earth, this encounter leads him into an ordeal he least expected as he is pitted against the ruler of the universe.
Art: Toei Animation, for the time the original DBZ aired the art was actually good, but now that we have studios like Madhouse, Shaft, Kyoto etc etc etc. This art is actually very bad for the time it was released. I felt like they could have tried to improve the art like how they did the art for Dragon Ball Super.
Character: Dragon Ball Kai has a nice set of characters to get along with. You have the kind hearted warrior Goku, the timid but strong Gohan, the evil nature of Vegeta, and also the determined Piccolo. They all have great development over the course of the series as their interactions with other characters changes their personality for the better (typically).
Enjoyment: I thought the Dragon Ball franchise's* only appeal is the high paced fighting and insane powers, but the way these intense fights are brought into being are done through great plot development. For example in the first Saga, you have Krillin and Gohan on a planet surrounded by many enemies and also under pursuit by somebody far stronger than them. They have a goal of collecting Dragon Balls while remaining completely under the radar. Watching this simple 'scavenger hunt' develop into a battle that determines the fate of the universe was extremely enjoyable. It was refreshing to know that combat wasn't the only thing this series had to offer.
Overall: You see the score up top, I gave Dragon Ball Kai a 9/10 in comparison to shows such as Fairy Tail that merely does the same thing every arc (Fight enemy > lose > get back up > rematch > win). Even if majority of its fans are here just because of the combat it doesn't knock down the actual quality of the show.
^.^

School Days is what would happen if your average harem lead actually capitalized on the fact that he had a harem. An unbelievably fantastic show that does exactly what it is meant to do, make you uncomfortable. Of course when people watch an anime, or any show for that matter they watch it not to feel uncomfortable. So I can understand the reasoning behind the score to an extent. This is actually not a very good review.
Story: The base story is very realistic, it's about a your average high school boy who gets away with cheating one time. Now we all know how high school
...
boys are, they are horny and if they get away with something once they think they can get away with it a million times. That is what this anime is about, but if you are someone like me who graduated high school a few years ago then you understand how real this story is and you know exactly how it will end. Well, Kind of.
Characters: I think your view on the characters can change your enjoyment of the show, yes the MC is a horrible guy, but there are actual people out there exactly like this guy and personally I loved watching him doing what he did because the consequences of what he was doing was building and building. The female leads are great, they act like women who are confused in love. Stuff like breaking up with somebody but wanting them back for no real reason.
Enjoyment: Your enjoyment on this show is dependent on how much you like watching somebody crash and burn. It's like when you play roller coaster tycoon and you make a roller coaster that kills everybody. Watching this anime is like watching the roller coaster in action, you know there will be a horrible outcome and you are merely seeing how bad it can get before it crashes.
Well, this was a horrible review. The reason I gave it a 9 instead of a 10 is because the realistic nature the show had lost it near the end just to give a different type of ending that will stick with the audience and also to teach a lesson.
Once again, this was a horrible review, but watch School Days anyways. It's something else.

I'll start this review with a question. Can a show be considered a great show if the ending is already presented to you early on in the show? The simple answer, Yes. The complex answer, It depends on how the story is built. Plastic Memories was a fairly good show that I do no regret watching, although I wouldn't consider it a "great" show. I'll explain. (Minor Spoilers)
Story: 5 (Mediocre)
The story follows main protagonist Tsukasa Mizugaki who works at a "terminal service". In this setting there are Androids that feature realistic human qualities called "Giftia". These "Giftia" have a life span of 9
...
years and after 9 years have passed the Terimal Service must collect them from the owner. Everyone in the terminal service is paired up with a Giftia, and as such Tsukasa is paired up with a Giftia named Isla.
A large amount of the show follows the protagonists as they retrieve Giftias from people all over the city. During the later half of the series we see our Hero and Heroine getting a long much better than just partners. Slowly but surely they start to develop feelings for each other. This is obviously a problem because Giftias have a lifespan of 9 years, what will happen?
Art: 7 (Good)
Art was good, I have no complains about the art or any mistakes that might have been made with the production of this anime. I feel like the facial expressions of the characters very well suit each and every situation as the story progressed.
Sound: 10 (Outstanding)
I really do love the sound, it supports the show in every aspect. The OP and ED both fit to the mood of the entire series. They did a great job with this.
Character: 6 (Fair)
Our main Hero Tsukasa is pretty average, nothing that makes him stand out from the rest. I found him very replaceable and that other characters from other series could have done the same as him and probably better. Our Heroine is a great girl who seems to start off as Kuudere but softens up as the series progresses showing great development for her. The other side characters don't help much with the progression of the show or the development of the main characters.
Enjoyment: 6 (Fair)
I have watched shows of the similar genre that kept my attention, this show was unique in what they wanted to show the viewer but i pacing of the show is a bit odd. It made me want to put it on hold for awhile.]
Overall: 6 (Fair)
Main flaw of the series is the character/plot development. It's not something like Clannad that over the course of 48 episodes show the lives of two characters in love. This shows a much shorter romance.
It's not a show you go running to you friends telling them to watch this show. It's the type you stumble across, decide to watch. Smile, and put it in a special corner with anime that weren't all that great but worth the watch.
Thanks for reading, give this review a thumbs up or thumbs down. I don't mind I would just like a lot of criticism. Talk to me on my page if you'd like.

I will refrain from spoilers in this review
Garo, has turned into one of my favorite anime at the moment. The story follows a young Makai Knight named Leon, and his father German who is also a Makai Knight. Makai Knights have a job to play and that is to kill the "Horrors", which are people who have been possessed by dark spirits, that threaten the every day lives of humans. Leon, the Main Character of the series, is a Makai Knight who still hasn't fully matured. He is learning what it means to truly be a Makai knight, with his father as his teacher.
At
...
the same time there is a prince named Alfonso who has been betrayed by someone within his own castle and forced to leave in to avoid death. The castle is then overtaken and so is the kingdom by a man named Mendoza. Alfonso must then search for the legendary Golden Makai Knight who is destined to save the kingdom, this Knight so happens to be Leon. Thus starts the adventures of Leon and Alfonso in their attempt to retake the kingdom from the hands of Mendoza. This anime is astounding in the pacing it takes to tell the story of these characters. It never moves too slow or too fast it takes its time to tell the story they way they truly want you to experience and to watch the show as it slowly grows into an anime worth watching.
The art in this series is great, I love the approach they take. The characters look rather simple in details, but not simple in a bad way but simple in a pleasant way that makes you admire it for a bit. They also use CG for the armor of the Makai Knights which is great in showing the contrast between humans and Makai Knights, giving them a shine to them and it makes them stand out. The sound was fine, it wasn't unpleasant or overwhelmingly great. It did it's job in creating the perfect atmosphere for the right times.
I believe the characters in the series is what makes this anime so easy to watch for me. You have young, fierce, and naive Leon. The upright and strong Alfonso. The silly and playboy father. The beautiful and independent Ema and many more characters that make this show great. Even minor characters play heavy roles in this anime, some effect characters for the rest of the series and some play towards a role much bigger than you expected. Each character is there for a reason whether they show up one episode and leave, die in the next episode, or stand with the story the entire way. You will enjoy every character in some way.
In terms of enjoyment, this gets an easy 10 in my book. The series started off kind of slow, I wasn't sure if the anime would turn out to be any good but once I got to episodes 7-12 the plot picks up quickly and you see that the first 6 episodes weren't wasted to fill up the time the show has for 24 episodes. This show developed beautifully, over the course of these 24 episodes.
Overall I give the show a 10 (Outstanding/Masterpiece). Garo stayed true to the story they had worked to build over 24 episodes, and they really have you get attached to the Main Character, Leon, seeing what he goes through and his duty in the end. This show doesn't pull any stupid strings to give a happy ending, what happened happened and Leona and his allies have to deal with it. Garo is an idependent story, meaning it didn't come from another source such as Manga/VN/LN, seeing as to how there was a Second Seasons and a Movie planned when this series was at a mere 6 episodes shows that the creator has planned everything well in advance and it looks promising that the second season won't disappoint us at all.
Thanks for your time.
