Similiarities: -Gore, but different amounts (elfen lied has way more gore) -Telekinesis as the major theme -Characters reveal their background story/history slowly -Both will keep you on the edge of your seat Differences: -Shinsekai Yori has a VERY different society structure (you may or may not like it), whereas Elfed Lied is similar to real life and quite standard. -The core objective/conflicts are still different despite similar themes -Shinsekai Yori keeps you on the edge of your seat through plot twists/drama, Elfen Lied does so through pure gore/action

Similarities: -Alien female protagonist -Ordinary male protagonist -Some romance elements - Specifically, love triangles -Both alien female protagonists initially try to hide their identity as aliens -Some comedic elements Differences: -To Love ru has A LOT more fan service -Ano Natsu is more serious and focused on the romance element -To Love ru has a more harem-based approach, whereas Ano Natsu focuses on love triangles/squares/pentagons/etc. -Ano Natsu has more of a progression in plot than To Love ru. To love ru's plot is relatively unconnected - if you skip a few episodes, you haven't really missed out on any plot.
