"Synduality Noir" is an underrated show unbeknownst to many this season created by popularly known studio 8bit/Eight Bot who are quite widely previously known for creating hit show Tensura/That Time I got Reincarnated as a Slime. It's a mix of Mecha and Sci-Fi duo with a blend of some humor and some action and all in all it balances out decently well with some questionable attempts and issues.
So far, now that the 3rd episode has been released. I was intrigued by the fact that there was actually some more character development for our side characters and newly introduced characters who had unique personalities that
...
differed from other characters and the fact that there was some more plot to go on. Although there were some generic moments and somewhat lack of world-building some of the humor and action made up for it. Just don't expect anything mindblowing or shocking as this show doesn't have the ability to portray that or the ability to turn it over and most likely won't be able to throughout the story.
Pros:
1) It has great character quality and depth.
2) Great blend of humor and action.
3) Pretty decent music, particularly the OST.
4) Smooth animation mostly, more often found in action.
5) Action that's timed right and pretty realistic.
Cons:
1) Lack of character development for the most important character, even though she's the center of the story?
2) Not enough screen time for one of the main protagonists, he's a really important character.
3) Action is pretty boring and bland, nothing to really follow up on.
4) Doesn't balance out well with "Sci-Fi", there aren't many instances of technological or futuristic advancements.
5) Can get a lil boring and doesn't leave you off with (Tune in for the next ep) type energy.
6) Gets sidetracked pretty easily even though there's a lot to follow on.
Although this anime might have some flaws and issues. It was most likely an attempt for the studio to tell the world that they haven't disappeared as I can't recall the last time they made a new anime adapted or original after Tensura. But it does make up for some of its cons with its pros. I mean generally speaking, if you're just looking for a decent watch this summer don't fret as you're better off watching this anime than most of your bland and average Isekai/Fantasy shows that you see nowadays. But all in all, it's a pretty decent watch and I'll probably continue watching it for now.
Would I recommend it? As it sits right now yeah but I wouldn't recommend this show for people who want to tune in for great action and great world-building. This anime was most likely created as a way for 8bit to earn some money to maybe create a better anime in the future.
