Both anime are cyberpunk classics with extremely high quality animation and incredible artwork, and that's not even taking into account their age. Needless to say, both of these movies have aged extremely well. Both have very unique soundtracks, intriguing storylines, and layered characters. Both are highly enjoyable while occasionally being convoluted(I'll admit, even I don't understand what I'm seeing half the time, it's just so damn cool). I don't know what else to say, but if you love one, you'll absolutely love the other.

Both of these anime have a very western feel. They are gothic, bloody, horror fantasy anime with very detailed art and amazing atmospheres. They both have amazing soundtracks, courtesy of Marco D'Ambrosio and Susumu Hirasawa, who I'm sure poured their heart and soul into composing for these anime. Bloodlust actually started production around the time Berserk was airing in 1997. If you love one you'll love the other.

Both are newer shonen with a protagonist focusing on the exorcism of demons/curses. Both were praised for their high quality animation and exciting action sequences. Both anime have a dark atmosphere and utilize their color palette effectively. They have good soundtracks, great art, likable characters, and very cool villains. I can't help but feel like these two anime are the illegitimate children of the Jojo franchise.

Both are 90s sci-fi anime that have very cool artstyles. They are older series but the art and animation still holds up compared to modern standards. Both have a similar vibe with captivating character drama. They occasionally have action, and both utilize classical music; but the key thing here is definitely the art and character interactions which are very similar.

Both anime are newer adaptations of their highly acclaimed 90s manga. They both have great production values, artstyles, and soundtracks. Both have an interesting cast of characters with diverse personalities. They both feature unorthodox yet engaging storytelling styles, and the storytelling styles seem to be very similar in the way they utilize general knowledge. If you love one you'll love the other.

Shingeki no Kyojin

In the very first volume of the Shingeki no Kyojin manga, there's an interview with Hajime Isayama and his editor featured as a bonus. Isayama says Kentaro Miura is one of the mangaka he respects. As a fan of both authors and their work, I was pleasantly surprised, because I've always thought these manga to be extremely compatible. Both manga have an engrossing, medieval, dark fantasy setting with a lot of gore, although Berserk is a seinen so it's definitely not for the faint of heart. That isn't to say that Shingeki no Kyojin doesn't have its fair share of gore. However, the gore isn't only for shock value, but it also effectively conveys what the author wants the reader to get out of the world they have created. Both manga tell mature tales and feature brilliant storytelling. They both feature an incredible cast of characters, with damn cool character designs! The artwork for both manga is simply amazing. Berserk's art is phenomenal from the beginning of the Golden Age arc— although Isayama's art improves a lot in later volumes. One could say a similarity between both manga is that the art improves over time. Overall, if you are a fan of one of these manga, you are pretty much guaranteed to love the other. These are my two favorite manga, so what do I know.

The creator of Naruto, Masashi Kishimoto, was inspired by Hunter x Hunter to make his beloved franchise. So there are a LOT of similarities. The Scarlet Eyes and Sharingan(both significant to the story); Gon and Naruto(although they are pretty different overall) share the attribute of determination and have a deep fascination for their father; Kurapika is similar to Sasuke(or maybe I’m just reading too much into the eye thing). Akatsuki is like the Phantom Troupe, there are those villains like Hisoka and Orochimaru that make you question their and your sexuality. There are Chunin Exams in Naruto and there is the Hunter Exam in HxH. Both anime have a great OST, great openings/endings, great art and great action. The main thing is: they’re both amazing anime. Check ‘em out.

Both shows feature intriguing examinations of criminal psychology. They both have agencies that aid in the investigation to catch the killer. They both have amazing villains/anti-heroes: Light Yagami and Shougo Makishima. Both feature a fun cat and mouse chase between detective and killer, and the detective and killer in both shows are equally matched and are perfect rivals for each other.

Both of the MCs have to coexist with their “invasive” counterpart. Both Ajin and Parasites are deemed inhuman. Both MCs meet more of their kind, some which happen to be extremely violent and become an adversary to the pacifist ideals of the MC. Both manga have their share of blood and gore.

Both of the MCs are not completely controlled by the “invasive” species, instead only a part of them is and they share qualities between the invasive species and humans— you could say they are somewhat the bridge between the two. Both MCs experience a similar breakdown in their respective manga after they find out they are the invasive species, and both refuse to kill to satisfy their hunger for humans. Also both Ghouls and Parasites eat humans. Both manga have gore.
