OK here we go. I just made a MAL account to make a review for this series. Didn't update my anime list though.
Anyway back to reason for me in writing this review.
I love the series as a whole. Cuteness, battle sequence, comedy AND YES THE ROMANCE.
Taking a quick look on the first season, it ended perfectly. Some people say it should've just ended there. I considered what they've said though because it was a really cute and nice ending for the series, not gonna lie.
But for me, the story didn't feel the "end". If we're gonna base on age, the story felt "young".
...
What do I mean by "young"? You're young which means you have a lot of choices to take. You're not just gonna stay on that exact place even though you're already happy with it.
Yes that is what I've felt on the story. No not just the story but the series as a whole.
Now here we go on S2, where they sliced up some part of the past of Yuuta including his past relationship with Shichimiya therefore leading to a love triangle where it caused slowdown to relationship between Rikka and Yuuta.
I must say that this is a good way to not rush too much on the story, but we all know it is a common thing though.
I think some people just wanted to see where it will lead to that's why they disliked it. Kisses? Higher Contract? Marriage? I guess I can understand what they're pointing. It is just the story will feel too rushed when those were done already. Just like what Yuuta said in the last episode, they didn't need to rush to change.
I hope some people see what I'm trying to point at, because some people just straightly wanted to expect the obvious therefore leading to disappointment or dislike.
Wrapping up my review, the story is good. It just slowed down a bit when we're talking about their relationship. Art is good. Comedy is good. Yes, the cuteness is always there and must be there whenever season 3 arrives. Sound, I don't have any problem with that. Characters, well don't remove Rikka on the next one or I'll regret everything I just said. We're talking about Chuunibyou syndrome right? Not just the romance itself, so the battle sequence is just really badass and of course cute.
Well I guess we'll see what will happen in season 3. Story didn't end right there, not a cliffhanger but that didn't practically felt the end.
