I think the concept itself is really cool, but I'm not very fond of Gantz as a whole. Don’t get me wrong, there are some really intense, heart wrenching, and emotional moments, but the good parts get ruined or bogged down by a lot of problematic material. There's actually tons of racist, homophobic, and misogynistic moments in the manga and it really takes me out of the experience. It's a lot of try-hard edgy bullshit that I just find off putting.
